Elle était l'épouse de feu Osias Gervais et la fille de feu Marie-Louise Chénier et de feu Hermas Villeneuve. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses 6 enfants: Michel, Micheline (Micheal O'Reilley), Françoise (Roger Poulin), Nicole (Richard Jodouin), Pierre (Ruth Wheeller), Paul (Patricia Nutter), 16 petits-enfants, 19 arrière-petits-enfants, 1 soeur, Pauline (feu Roger Munroe), 2 frères: Noël (Yollande Despatie) et Fernand des États-Unis ainsi que plusieurs belles-soeurs, neveux, nièces et ami(e)s. Roy E. Silliker PORT ELGIN, NB - The death of Roy Silliker, age 66, of Port Elgin, occurred in the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, October 16, 2005. Born in Val d'Or, QC, he was a son of the late Charles and Irene (Vautour) Silliker. Roy was formerly a 20 year employee with INCO, Sudbury, ON. He retired to Port Elgin a few years ago. Roy will be sadly missed by his girlfriend, Marlene Estabrooks, Port Elgin; two daughters, Sherry (Herb) Cowen, Pike Lake, ON and Dayna Silliker, Sudbury, ON; a grandson, Luke; six brothers, Joseph (Bo) (Kim), Shemogue, Floyd, Gary, Barry (Bimbo) (Wendy) and Stanley (Candy) all of Port Elgin and Billy of Salisbury; as well as five sisters, Shirley, Bedville, ON, Betty-Ann and Barbara, both of Port Elgin, April (Raymond), Petit Cap and Marion, Moncton. Surviving besides her husband and parents are two daughters, Jordanna and Rachelle at home; parents, Edward and Doreen (Hope) Kilpatrick, Upham. SALAMIS, Père Nicholas C. Décédé le 15 octobre 2005, à Montréal, à son domicile, à l'âge de 108 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil sa fille Marika Asimakopulos, ses petites-filles Anna et Julia, son arrière-petite-fille Clara, sa belle-fille Corinne Salamis, ainsi que ses neveux Constantine B. Salamis et Père Evangelos Georgiades et sa nièce Marika Panagopoulos. Le Père Salamis est né à Leka, Samos, Grèce, le 13 août 1897. Il est devenu prêtre Grec Orthodoxe en 1938, travaillant d'abord à Toronto, et depuis 1945 il a servi la Communauté Grecque à Montréal. Durant sa longue carrière religieuse, il s'est beaucoup dévoué et a touché des milliers de vies. Il sera exposé les mercredi et jeudi 19 et 20 octobre de 15 h 30 à 20 h à la Cathédrale Grecque Orthodoxe de Saint-George (2455, Côte Ste-Catherine). Les funérailles auront lieu à la Cathédrale le vendredi 21 octobre 2005 à 10 h. SALAMIS 1897-2005 Father Nicholas Salamis passed away peacefully at home in Montreal on October 15, 2005 at the age of one hundred and eight. He was born in Leka, Samos, Greece in 1897, the son of Constantine and Marigo. He followed his brother Basil to North America in 1914. He returned to Greece for 5 years in the 1930's. He married Efrosini Vergou in 1938 and was then ordained as a Greek Orthodox priest. During the 2nd World War he served at St George's Church in Toronto where his children Marika and Constantine were born. He travelled to communities big and small across Ontario at that time. He suffered the loss of his beloved wife in 1985 and more recently his son in May 2004. His life was one of service. During his long career he touched many lives. His love for the Greek community and its people was boundless. He is survived by daughter Marika Asimakopulos; his grand-daughters Anna and Julia; his great-grand-daughter Clara; his daughter-in-law Corinne Salamis; his nephews Constantine B. Salamis and Reverend Evangelos Georgiades and his niece Marika Panagopoulos, as well as many cousins. His body will lie in state at St. George's Cathedral, 2455 Cote Ste Catherine Rd., Wednesday and Thursday October 19 and 20 from 3:30 to 8pm. The funeral will be held at 10:00am on Friday October 21, 2005. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Hellenic Community of Montreal, Residence Reverend Salamis, 5777 Wilderton, Montreal, QC, H3S2V7. 1908 - 2005 À l’hôpital du Saint-Sacrement, dont il fut l’un des médecins fondateurs et où il oeuvra pendant plus de 50 ans, est décédé, le 14 octobre 2005, à l’âge de 96 ans, le Dr Guy Drouin, époux de feu Marie Beaumont. Il a été confié à la maison funéraire Lépine Cloutier Ltée Le service religieux sera célébré le mardi 18 octobre 2005 à 11 heures, en l’église Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens, rue Père-Marquette, coin avenue Murray, Québec et de là au cimetière Saint-Charles. La famille recevra les condoléances à l’église une heure avant la cérémonie. Il laisse dans le deuil son fils et sa belle-fille: Dr Michel Drouin et Luce Desgroseilliers; ses deux petits-fils: Dr Jean Drouin (Londres) et François Drouin (Chicago) ainsi que plusieurs parents, collègues et ami(e)s. Gradué en médecine de l’Université Laval en 1932, il poursuivit des études de spécialité en cardiologie à Londres (1936-37) et Paris (1937-1938). À son retour à Québec, il se joint au service de médecine de l’hôpital du Saint-Sacrement où il occupa les postes de chef du service de cardiologie et chef du département de médecine. Il fut également chef fondateur du service de cardiologie de l’institut de cardiologie de l’hôpital Laval et professeur titulaire à la faculté de médecine de l’Université Laval. Sa carrière médicale fut caractérisée par un profond humanisme et un inlassable dévouement à l’égard de ses patients et de leurs familles. Nous tenons à remercier pour leur dévouement et excellents soins le personnel du pavillon Murray du Manoir Manrèse ainsi que des 2e et 3e étages du pavillon Coulombe de l’hôpital du Saint-Sacrement. LYNCH, Carl Vincent. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Lynch on Friday, October 14, 2005 after a lengthy illness. Beloved husband of Anna (Rush) for forty-nine years, and proud and loving father of Karen, Charles (deceased), Nancy, Sheila (Eric), David (Arden) and Colleen (Patrick). Much loved Granddad of Aidan (Le Sausse), Kelvin (Langner), Sean (Lynch), John (Le Sausse), Kayla (Langner), and Ryan and Colin (Lynch). Born in Marmora, Ontario, Carl was the eldest son of the late Vincent Lynch and Anna (Maloney). He is survived by two sisters: Patricia (Barry) Olson of Vancouver, B.C., and Anna (James) Cosgrove of Havelock, and four brothers: Morris (Bernadette) of Marmora, Doug (Eleanor) of Deloro, Keith (Yola) of Havelock, and Vincent (Joy) of Belleville. In 1952, Carl graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering. He began his career with General Motors Diesel in London, Ontario, moving to Deloro Stellite before joining the Aluminum Company of Canada (ALCAN) in Kingston in 1957.In 1961, he transferred to ALCAN's Montreal Head Office, where,over the course of thirty years, Carl earned an international reputation as a leader in his field. LOWELL -- Lillian Bertha "Lil" (Boure) Chandonnet, 77, a Lowell resident who was a St. Margaret Church member and volunteered in the community, died Saturday, Oct. 15, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Maurice C. Chandonnet, with whom she would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 23.She was born in Boston, April 7, 1928, daughter of the late Edward N., and Mildred L. (Snow) Boure. She was educated in Boston schools. Mrs. Chandonnet was a resident of the Highlands neighborhood of Lowell. She was a homemaker, and spent her entire life raising her family.Mrs. Chandonnet was a communicant of St. Margaret Church in Lowell. She was active in volunteer work with The Salvation Army, and numerous local political organizations and campaigns.Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sandra Sweeney of Lowell, Linda Chandonnet of Dracut; three grandchildren, Michael Boldrighini of Lowell, Taryn Sweeney of Lowell, Tammy Sweeney of Dracut; a great-grandson, Matthew Boldrighini of Lowell; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ernest and Mona Boure of Dracut, and Gerald L. Boure of Whitman; a sister, Anna M.
