WEST WARREN - Shirley M. (Brouillard) Millier, 70, of 284 Crouch Rd.,died Sunday, Oct. 16 at home following a long battle with lung cancer. She leaves her husband of 27 years, Robert H. Millier, a son Edward Wansick of Southbridge, two daughters Cheryl Wilson of Brookfield and Lynn Granlund of Warren, her mother Ella (Harrington) McNeal of Calif., a step sister Darlene McNeal of Calif., and aunt and uncle June and Joseph Lenkarski of Ware, a brother and 4 sisters, 7 grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Millier was a dispatcher for 19 years at Warren Pumps before retiring. She was a member of the George Whitefield United Methodist Church in W. Brookfield and the Veteran of Foreign Wars Women's Auxillary in W.Warren. Born in Ware, she was the daughter the late Albert F. Brouillard. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Warren. There are no calling hours. LEWISTON - Suzanne Wiseman, 85, of d'Youville Pavilion, and formerly a resident of Auburn and Minot, went home to be with her family and God on Oct. 16.She was born March 7, 1920, in Bonnet, France, one of six children to Georges and Jeanne (Lavallee) Chion.She met Cpl. Vincent Wiseman while he was serving in World War II and later married him on July 7, 1945, in Bar-Le-Duc, France.She gave birth to a son, Alain Wiseman on Jan. 29, 1946, and immigrated to Lewiston later that year.She worked in the shoe industry in Lewiston while teaching herself to read and write English. She loved and missed her family in France and corresponded with them often. She made return trips to visit family by boat and then by plane as permitted.She later retired from the shoe industry and cared for her grandson Jacques Wiseman. Her husband passed away in September 1977.She remained active and could be found riding the bus between Lewiston and Auburn, shopping and visiting the library for many years. She even continued to ride her bicycle along with her grandson throughout the Auburn countryside for many years, and held a special place in his heart. She gave tirelessly of herself to her family, often thinking of them rather than herself. She always enjoyed coffee and a croissant, a day of shopping, or taking in a movie with her grandson. Even when the effects of Alzheimer's had robbed her of many memories, she would always have a smile and enjoy a meal with family at Campus Cuisine, especially with her son and daughter-in-law Barbara Wiseman.She had a special place in her heart for her great-grandson Jake Wiseman, and she loved to hold his hand while being pushed in her wheelchair. She will be sadly missed and thought of often.She leaves a son, Alain Wiseman and his wife, Barbara, of Minot; a grandson, Jacques Wiseman and his wife, Martha, of Mechanic Falls; and a great-grandson, Jake Wiseman.She was predeceased by her three sisters; two brothers from France; and her husband, Vincent.

He was 64, a resident of Paincourtville and a native of Donaldsonville. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. Besides his parents he leaves a sister Heather Gagne of Bellingham. He was the grandson of Leona Lemon of Hopedale and the late Normand Gagne and the late Herve and Delora (DeVaudreil) Nault. WILMINGTON -- Joseph N. Gallant, 79, a Wilmington resident who worked at a company in town for more than two decades and was a World War II veteran, died Saturday, Oct. 15, at Saints Memorial Center in Lowell. He was the husband of Anna D. (DiGiacomo), who died in 1998.He was born in Mexico, Maine, son of the late Robert and Emily (Blanchard) Gallant. He grew up in Malden area and also on a farm in Revere.Mr. Gallant served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the end of World War II, and then served his country for an additional four years.Mr. Gallant married his wife, Anna in 1952, and together they built their family home in Wilmington in 1962. He resided in Wilmington for more than 40 years.Prior to retirement, Mr. Gallant was a master machinist for Avco/Textron Co., in Wilmington for more than 20 years.His hobbies included building, and he loved to build with wood and metal. He could create anything, according to family members. He also was an avid radio-control and plane hobbyist. He loved motorcycles and he took many trips on them. He was a loyal Red Sox and Patriots fan.He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph R. and June Gallant of Tewksbury, James R. and Terrye Gallant of Dracut, and Paul J. and Joanna Gallant of Hollis, N.H.; four grandchildren, Joseph Jr., Rita-Anne, Joanna, and Gregory; a sister, Mae Roy of Sturbridge; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was also the brother of the late Terri McGinley. GAUTHIER JOSEPH L -- Of Kalamazoo, formerly of Warren, died peacefully September 17, 2005. Joe was born July 27, 1913, in Baraga, MI. He was preceded in death by three brothers; and two sisters. Joe was the loving husband for 57 years of Sally Helen Gauthier of Kalamazoo; beloved father of Joseph P. BENNINGTON — Hubert Joseph "Huey" Grenon, 75, a longtime resident of Bennington, died Oct. 15, 2005, at the Vermont Veterans Home following a long illness.He was born in Troy, N.Y., Feb. 9, 1930, the son of Anatole and Dorilda (Laquerre) Grenon. He received his education in the Newport, N.H., schools and was a member of the class of 1949 at Towle High School in Newport.A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the United States Marine Corps from Dec. 11, 1951, until Dec. 1, 1953, and was a member of the 1st Marine Division.Following the war, he attended meat-cutting school in Toledo, Ohio, and for many years was employed as a meat cutter at various stores in the Bennington and North Adams, Mass., areas. He later served as the building superintendent at the federal building in Bennington until the time of his retirement.He enjoyed all types of sports and was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Mount Anthony Union High School teams.He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1332 in Bennington and also a member of American Legion Post 13 and Moose Lodge 1223 in Bennington. He enjoyed traveling and attending the functions of the senior citizens clubs in Bennington, Manchester and Hoosick Falls. In earlier years, Mr. Grenon was an accomplished bowler, and he participated in many leagues over the years.Survivors include a sister, Helen Grenon of Bennington; two aunts and several cousins.The funeral will be held at All Faiths Chapel at the Vermont Veterans Home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at the Gerald B.H. BARRIE, Ontario -- Amy Hall Parenteau, 93, a relative of a local resident, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, at the Roberta Place in Barrie, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Edmund (Spud) Parenteau, she was predeceased by her first husband, Frank Foulis. Graduating in 1938 from Western Hospital in Toronto, Amy worked as a Red Cross nurse in Bracebridge and Dryden, Ontario. She spent her later years at Thunder Lake, Dryden and at Tarpon Springs and Titusville, Fl. She was predeceased in death by her parents, Richard and Martha Muzetta Williams (née Amy); her sister, Helen Muzetta Harris; her niece, Margaret Jean Robertson; and stepdaughters, Leila Berrey and Del McDougald. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, Anah E. Hunter of Barrie, Ontario, Mary I. Piette of Bainbridge Island, Wash., and E. Ruth English of Melrose, Ontario; stepdaughter, Tan Wigle of Vancouver, BC; and stepson, Mike Parenteau of Concord. She was loved dearly by her many nieces and nephews and stepgrandchildren, the Berreys, the McDougalds, the Wigles and the Parenteaus. A pianist with a swing, an avid golfer, and a loving friend to so many, she celebrated life. Amy's family especially extends thanks to the Roberta Place staff,who cared for her so well. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Belleville, Ontario. AUBURN - Germaine Jalbert Martel, 94, a resident of Clover Living Center, formerly of Ste. Croix Street, Lewiston, died Friday, Oct. 14, with her loving family at her side after saying her last goodbye before passing peacefully.She was born in Ste. Marie de Beauce, Quebec, on Jan. 25, 1911, a daughter of Gedeon and Celina Drouin Jalbert. As a young child, her family moved from Canada to New Auburn.She worked as a shoe cutter at Cushman Hollis Shoe Shop until it closed, then worked at Dori Shoe from which she retired. She was actively involved in many Holy Cross Parish activities.She was happily married to Rosaire N. Martel for 55 years; he died in 1986. They had a full, loving life together. They were each other's best friend. They enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.As parents, they were great role models, shaping our religious faith and morals, work ethics and family values. They never wavered, they never failed us. Our mother and father are our greatest blessings and that will remain with us forever.She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Lafrance and her husband, Roland, of Lewiston; her sons, Normand J.P. Martel and his wife, Estelle, of Lewiston, and Roger A. Martel and his wife, Connie, of Lewiston; a sister, Corinne Duperre of Pennsylvania; a brother, Alfred "Fred" Jalbert of Lewiston; five grandchildren, Diane, Claire, Brenda, Michael and Nicholas; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Deanna Hatch; her sisters, Antoinette Poisson, Juliette Bilodeau, Eva Chasse and Gertrude Fournier; and her brothers, Marius and Arthur Jalbert.

LUNENBURG -- Sylvia G. (Leger) Loiselle, of Rivercourt Residence, 8 West Main St., Groton, former longtime resident of Lunenburg, died on Sept. 30, in Sterling Health Care, after an illness. She was born on Jan. 5, 1926, in Fitchburg, the daughter of Wilfred and Alice (Legendre) Leger and was raised in Fitchburg. She attended and graduated from Fitchburg High School. While in school she had been a cashier and bookkeeper at the former Army-Navy store on Main Street in Fitchburg.Mrs. Loiselle was a very accomplished artist in oil, watercolors, and in digital photography and also studied at the Fitchburg Art Museum and the Worcester Art Museum. She was a member of the Fitchburg Art Museum, Sharon Art Center, Worcester Center for Arts and Crafts, and ARTS-Worcester.She was a founding member of Our Lady of the Lake Church. Mrs. Loiselle loved to travel extensively and one of her hobbies was gardening. She had a tin collecton for over 50 years and had a great love for all the arts. Many of her paintings can be seen at local art galleries and on June 3 and 4 of this year, she had a one-woman art exhibit of her work at the Groton Senior Center. Her artwork can also be seen at Rivercourt Residence where she was living.Mrs. Loiselle leaves her son, James M. and his wife Melissa of McLean, Va.; her daughter, Carol A. and her husband Michael J. Shiel of Lunenburg; a brother, Aimee Leger of Fitchburg; and her grandchildren, Stephanie and Brian Shiel of Lunenburg. Her husband of 35 years, Vincent E. CHICOPEE - Edna B. Murphy passed away peacefully, with her family at her side on Saturday October 15, 2005. Edna was born on May 1, 1912, one of nine children of Alfred and Maryjane St. Marie of Chicopee. She was the last living member of the nine, predeceased by 5 brothers; Leo, Alfred Ernest, Raymond and Jerome St. Marie and her 3 sisters Lillian and Rose St. Marie, and Viola Desmarais. Her husband, Thomas F. Murphy passed away on October 6, 1979. Edna leaves her 5 children: Marilyn Fallon and her husband Steven, of Westfield; Barbara Van Kirk and her husband Fred of Arcanum, Ohio; William Murphy and his wife Susan of Chicopee; Thomas F. Murphy Jr., of Chicopee and his companion Noreen Robinson of Feeding Hills; and John Murphy and his wife Margaret of Holyoke. Edna had 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Edna's greatest love was her family, and they will always remember her quick wit and friendly smile. She graduated from Chicopee High School in 1928, earning a scholarship to Bay Path College and was a communicant of St. Patrick's Parish in Chicopee Falls. Edna was an accomplished pianist when she met her husband Thomas, who himself was a concert violinist. She retired from A.G. Spalding in 1975 after stitching Major League baseballs for over 20 years and then worked at Holy Name Parish Rectory in Chicopee. She was an avid reader often reading 2 to 3 books each week. Funeral will be held on Wednesday Oct. 19, 2005 at 8:30 AM from the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield Street, Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St Patrick's Church at 10 AM. Barbara "Bobbie" (Thibodeau) Leger Erismann, 75, formerly of Broad Brook and Enfield, died Friday, (October 14, 2005) at Fox Hill Center in Rockville, after a long illness. Bobbie was born in Stoughton, MA, the only child of the late Alfred R. and Ada (Prance-Barry) Thibodeau. She married William C. Leger, a jazz percussionist, in 1951. They moved to Connecticut in 1957 and built the Atlantic Fence Co. of South Windsor. As a member of the Ellington Ridge Country Club, Bobbie was a ladies' nine-hole golf champion. After Bill's death in 1978, she turned her considerable talents for sewing and interior decoration into Thimble Masters, Inc. Bobbie loved books and had an encyclopedic knowledge of movies. Her wit and generosity were legendary. Bobbie is survived by a daughter, Diane (Leger) Newth of Broad Brook; a son, David Paul Leger of East Windsor; and two nieces, Maryann and Charlene Scalia. She was predeceased by her second husband, John Erismann; and her beloved son-in-law, Paul Edward Newth, Jr. Bobbie's children wish to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the nursing and aid staff at Fox Hill Center, who cared for Bobbie with respect and affection. In addition, a special thank you to the hospice personnel of the Visiting Nurses & Health Services of Vernon. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Amy Martina (Utterberg) St. Pierre, 87, of Lovely Street, Canton, beloved wife of 60 years of the late Joseph A. St. Pierre died Saturday (October 15, 2005). She was born July 31, 1918 in West Hartford, daughter of the late Martin S. and Sigrid (Hjelmstrom) Utterberg and had lived in West Hartford prior to moving to Canton 41 years ago. She was a graduate of Hall High School. Mrs. St. Pierre worked at Travelers Insurance Company until she was married in 1940. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and a wonderful homemaker. In 1953, she began working as Bookkeeper, holding the Office of Secretary, at St. Pierre Box and Lumber Company, Inc. founded by her husband. Resigning from the Office of Chairperson in 2003, she continued working at the Company as Bookkeeper until her hospitalization in September 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Flattery and her husband, John of Canton; her son, John "Jack" St. Pierre and his wife, Karen of Burlington; and is known as "Monga" to her devoted grandchildren, Brigid (Flattery) Barnes of Arlington, VA, Candace (Flattery) Freedenberg of Canton, Shannon (Flattery) Sharp of Brooklyn, NY, Christopher St. Pierre of Las Vegas, NV, and Melanie St. Pierre of Tuscan, AZ; and two nephews, Donald Utterberg of Rocky Hill, and Robert Utterberg of Wallingford. She enjoyed precious time with five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Everett S. Utterberg. Janet Louise Collette, 79, of Thiensville, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at her second home in Cocoa Beach, Florida, surrounded buy her loving husband and family. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, where she was a figure skater; attended Purdue University of West Lafayette, Indiana; was an active member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Mequon, Wisconsin, working as a volunteer in accounting for nearly forty years; and volunteered at the Weyenberg Library of Mequon-Thiensville, working in the stacks for nearly forty years where circulation grew to 350,000. Along with her lifetime engagement in community service, she was a long-time subscriber of the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, cared for domestic and wild animals, enjoyed gardening, traveling, walking, downhill skiing and summer sailing, and was an avid reader of current events and all-around sports fan.Janet is survived by her Husband of 57 years, David Walton Collette. Durant sa longue carrière religieuse, il s’est beaucoup dévoué et a touché des milliers de vies. LEWIS, Mary June - June 11, 1937 - October 14, 2005 June Lewis, a resident of the Wikwemikong Nursing Home and formerly of Mindemoya, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Friday, October 14, 2005 at the age of 68 years. She was born at Spring Bay, daughter of Evelyn (Galbraith) (Legge) Pattison and the late Warren Legge. June was very active lady who, when living in Sudbury, had been an avid bowler and when she and her husband Earl retired back home, she enjoyed curling. June was extremely active in the community, volunteering in many local organizations. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Providence Bay Seniors groups, the Providence Bay Agriculture Society, the Campbell Horticulture Society and when called on to cook or bake for any function, she was always willing to help. June was also the co-ordinator of Tourist Info on the Chi-Cheemaun. She also found time to knit, embroider, cross stitch, paper tole, needle craft or any other craft she came across. Her handywork and items of clothing were shared with many and cherished by all recipients. June loved to visit with people, but her greatest joy was her family. A loving and loved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she will be sadly missed, but many happy memories will be forever cherished. June was predeceased by her husband Earl Lewis Jr. on February 19, 1988. Cherished daughter of Evelyn Pattison of Spring Bay. Dearly loved and loving mother of Donald and Colleen of Scarborough, Michael of Alberta, Larry and Lucille of Sudbury and Steven of Mindemoya. EDMUND RUDOLPH LIEDKE Edmund R. Liedke, 84, of River’s Edge Villa in International Falls, Mn., went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005. Ed was born Nov. 29, 1920 in Fabiandorf Province, Dangzig, Germany. He served in the German armed forces in the Panzer division during World War II on the Russian front from 1940-45. In 1950, Edmund emigrated to the United States, travelling on the Queen Elizabeth I and landing at the port of New York. He began working on his uncle’s farm in Valley City, N.D. until moving to International Falls later that year. He was hired on with Boise Cascade in the Insulite division, where he worked as a machine operator until his retirement in 1976 due to health problems. Edmund ws united in marriage on Nov. 26, 1951 to the former Marianne Rathje, who also emigrated to the U.S. from Germany. Ed’s love was fishing. He became a guide on Rainy Lake and spent many enjoyable days on the water, either guiding or fishing with his family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting and travelling, and made many trips back to Germany. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in International Falls, and enjoyed many evenings reading and studying the Bible. He was predeceased by his parents, Gustav and Amanda (Breske) Liedke; and his wife, Marianne Liedke (2004). Surviving Edmund are his son, Dennis (Christa) Liedke of International Falls, Mn.; daughter, Rosemarie (Bill) York of Fort Frances, Ont.; and five grandchildren, Brian, Christina, and Dave York, and Angela and Matthew Liedke. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in International Falls. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. FORT FAIRFIELD - Josephine Angelina Coty, beloved mother and grandmother, died Friday evening, Oct. 14, 2005, surrounded by her loving family at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Sept. 29, 1917, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Auriel and Delima (Nadeau) Gagnon. She attended local schools and was married to Claude A. Coty April 24, 1939. Josephine lived in Fort Fairfield for 47 years where she raised her family. Josephine's favorite saying was "Family First" and this she expressed through her unconditional love and devotion. Her many talents and interests included, cooking, sewing, crafting and traveling. Josephine was a longtime communicant of the St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield and she made her Cursillo in Frenchville, in 1992. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coty was predeceased by her husband, Claude, Aug. 24, 1990; one brother, Albert Gagnon; one sister, Fleurette Gagnon. She is survived by three sons, James Coty and his wife, Janice, of Columbia, S.C., Richard Coty and his wife, Nancy, of Lisbon Falls, Jerry Coty and Stacey Graves of Fort Fairfield; three daughters, Claudette Marquis and her husband, Romeo, of Worcester, Mass., Susan Williams and her husband, Doug, of Washington, ME, Anita Findlen and her husband, Patrick, of Clifton; two sisters, Marie Perkins and her husband, Jerry, of Modesto, Calif., and Aurelia Obrovac and her husband, Joseph, of Fair Oaks, Calif.; one brother, Norman Gagnon of Bay Shore, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. OLD TOWN - Richard Michael Gallant, 56, departed this life Saturday morning, Oct. 15, 2005, at his home with the loving support of his beloved wife, mother, and two daughters after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 11, 1949, Old Town, the third child of nine to Loretta Gallant and the late Walter Gallant of Old Town. Richard was employed for 30 years at the Georgia Pacific paper mill in Old Town. Upon retirement he held the position of steam and power operator. Richard was extremely big hearted and well-known for his countless acts of generosity, support and helpfulness. His favorite times were spent playing golf or playing cards with his friends, going on camping trips with his wife, kids, and grandkids and spending time with all of his family at numerous family get togethers. Richard was an easygoing, dependable, and thoughtful husband, father, Pepe, brother, son, uncle and friend to many. He will be deeply missed. Richard graduated from Old Town High School in 1968, where he was a member of the varsity football and basketball team. He later played in the YMCA basketball league and Old Town Rec. softball league. He was a sports lover and avid Yankees fan. He served for the U.S. Navy as an Aircrewman at the NAS North Island in San Diego, Calif. from 1969-1975. He was also a long time member of the Elks Club. Richard is survived by his mother, Loretta Gallant and her companion, Freddie Burke, of Old Town; his wife and companion of 23 years, Diane (Sale) Gallant of Old Town; his daughter, Shannon Gallant and her husband, Dan Baker, of Old Town; his daughter, Margo and her husband, Josh Stevens, of Millinocket; his granddaughters, Meshel White, Alexxus Stevens and Isabella Baker; his grandson, Treyce Stevens; his brother, Walter "Sonny" Gallant and wife, Nancy, of Old Town, his brother, Dan Gallant and companion, Jeanie Linscott, of Salisbury, Mass.; his sister, Jean Adams of Old Town, his sister, Debbie Horne of Old Town, his sister, Brenda Gallant and companion, Scott Mansur, of Old Town; his Godmother, Aunt Charlean and husband, Bob Leblanc, of Old Town; his nieces and nephews, Scott, Mark and Ronnie Plummer, Bekki Picard and Sarah Horne, Dustin and Jamie Gallant, Mary Beth and Danny Gallant, Bobby and Donnie Linscott, Danielle Gallagher and Laura Cassen, Tracy Parker, Laura Murphy and Adam Gallant, his first wife and mother of his two daughters, Patricia and her husband, James Murphy, of Southwest Harbor; special friends, Juke Niles, Charlie Ware, Bobby Lebretton, Jimmy Jones, Frances Ware, Bungo LeClaire, Tommy Leveille and countless other special people in his life. Daveau Sr. A lifelong resident of Fall River, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (May) Mahoney. Mrs. Daveau was an avid bingo player. Survivors include four sons, Eugene J. She is survived by her children Norma (David) Cooke, Marlin (Margaret) Wolfe, Sharon (Evan) Verchomin, Mohan (Deanna) Maharaj, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband David, granddaughter Randa, 3 sisters and 1 brother. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 29, 2005 at the Millwoods Pentecostal Church 2225-66 Street, Edmonton, with Pastor Harvey Rheil-Tonn officiating.
