Born in Hainesville, NB on October 9th, 1909, she was a daughter of the late Cleve and Amelia (Hoyt) Clark. She is survived by her six daughters;, Marjorie Richards (Norman) of Florida, Katherine Estey of Penniac, NB, Connie Gilmore of Fredericton, NB, Avis Donovan of Lincoln, NB, Betty MacWilliam (Glen) of Fredericton, NB and Joyce Campbell of Kingston, ON, three sons, David Campbell (Marilyn) of Kingston, ON, Donald Campbell (Annie) of Calgary and Benjamin Campbell (Pat) of Calgary; four sisters, Evelyn Thomas (Clarence) of Oshawa, ON, Lois Thomas of Nashwaak Village, NB, Lena MacDonald of Fredericton, NB and Idella Schmid of Oshawa, ON; twenty-nine grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by two brothers, Norman and Moody Clark, three sisters; Kate Gilmore, Elsie Hunter and Edith King; one granddaughter Donna Carhart. Although there will be no visitation by request a funeral service will be held on Saturday October 22, 2005 at 11am from the Marysville Baptist Church with Rev. David DuBois officiating. Burial will follow in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery. COOK, ALMA - Mrs. Alma Cook of Portagevale Rd, Penobsquis, NB passed away at the Moncton Hospital on October 15, 2005 at the age of 80. Born in Annadale, New Brunswick on January 3, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Scribner) Mallory and the wife of the late Verdon Cook. Alma is survived by her children: Valerie Orbic of Saint John, Amos and Georgina Patterson of Sussex, Sharon and Clay Weber of Penobsquis, Linda Patterson and George McKillop of Portagevale Rd. Glendon and Lila Patterson of Sussex and Heather Patterson and Fred Power with whom she resided. Alma is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Alma was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Alma enjoyed playing Bingo and Yard Sales. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Dr. (506-433-1176), with visitation at the Salvation Army Community Church on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. NEGUS, EVELYN MAY - Evelyn May Negus, of Whitman Court, Truro, passed away peacefully at home on October 14, 2005. She was born October 6, 1915 in Amherst, and was a daughter of the late Ned and Edna (Teed) Negus. She graduated from the Aberdeen Hospital School of Nursing in 1939, and later completed her degree in nursing at Dalhousie University. She joined the Canadian Army during World War II, and worked as a nursing sister, serving in England and Italy. She crossed the Atlantic Ocean several times on hospital ships, and survived a torpedo attack in which her vessel was sunk in the Mediterranean Sea. Following the war, Evelyn worked in Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal and Camp Hill in Halifax. In 1967, she was appointed Director of Nursing Service at Lancaster D.V.A. Hospital, and retired from Saint John Regional Hospital, Western Division in 1979. She had been a resident of Truro since her retirement. During her career she established and taught the first Nursing Assistant Program. She was a member of the St. Andrew's United Church, Truro, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #26, a charter member of Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and a former member of the Colchester Regional Hospital Auxiliary and the Truro Historical Museum. Evelyn was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Lee Negus, of Brookfield. Cremation has taken place. By her request, there will be no memorial or funeral service. A committal service will be held on Wednesday at 4 pm in Brookfield Westside Cemetery with Rev. Jay Ettinger officiating. Mr. Peter Frederick Timberlake November 02, 1924 - October 14, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) TIMBERLAKE, Peter Frederick - 80, Porters Lake, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2005. Born in Hastings, England, he was the son of the late George (Fred) and Annie Timberlake, and was predeceased by his sisters, Winnie and Jean (Hastings, England). Loving husband to Rose for 46 years, formerly of Penrith, England, who passed away in 1991. He will be deeply missed by his children, Tony, Port Alberni, B.C., and grandchildren Lisa and Devin; Alan, Prince George, B.C., wife Jan and grandchildren Sara and Jacob; Gary, Fredericton, N.B., wife Mary and grandchildren, Brittany and Brandon; Lyn, Porters Lake, husband Steven and grandson Douglas; nieces and nephews in England. Peter was a Second World War veteran with the British Royal Navy and employee of the BBC prior to immigrating to Canada. Peter held several positions with the Canadian Marconi Company, the Canadian Broadcasting Company-Engineering Headquarters, and Radio Canada International. He retired in 1989 as the Plant Manager of the RCI transmitting station, Sackville, N.B. After retirement, Peter and Rose enjoyed time living in Prince Edward Island, making many close friends. For the past 10 years, Peter made his home with his daughter, Lyn and her family in Porters Lake. Peter enjoyed traveling throughout Europe and annual vacations in Cuba with his daughter. His devotion to the Orenda Canoe Club and its paddlers will be sadly missed. To the paddlers, remember "Just Do Your Best". Peter and his family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Dartmouth General, the VG Site, QEII and the Dickson Building who cared for him. Il est devenu prêtre orthodoxe grec en 1938, travaillant d’abord à Toronto et depuis 1945, il a servi la communauté grecque à Montréal. Durant sa longue carrière religieuse, il s’est beaucoup dévoué et a touché des milliers de vies. Les funérailles auront lieu le 21 octobre 2005 à 10 : 00 St.George's Cathedral 2455 Côte Ste-Catherine Rd, Montreal où il sera exposé mercredi et jeudi 19 et 20 octobre de 15h30 à 20h00. CARIBOU - Ferdinand Clifford Joseph Cyr, 73, husband of the late Marion (Sirois) Shorey Cyr, died unexpectedly, Oct. 14, 2005, in Bangor. He was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Caribou, the son of John and Alberta (Ouellette) Cyr Sr. He was educated in the Holy Rosary School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Ferdinand was employed at Birdseye Division of General Foods and McCain's as a mechanic welder. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was also a member of the Fred B. Brescia Council Knights of Columbus and the Van Buren American Legion. He was a devoted husband and father to his family and was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He is survived by two sons, Mark J. Cyr and Lori, and Kirk A. Cyr and wife, Kathleen, of Caribou; daughter, Lisa A. Sczuroski and husband, Timothy, of Presque Isle; stepdaughter, Betty L. (Sirois) McNeal and husband, Lynn, of Caribou; one brother, John Cyr and wife, Irene, of New Sweden; two sisters, Blanche Leggee and husband, Warren, of Raynham, Mass. and Laurine Norton of Sutherlin, Ore.; grandsons, Derek Sczuroski and Chad McNeal; granddaughter, Kerri McNeal; great- grandchildren, Riley and Abbiegale, Griffen McNeal; step-grandchildren, Chris, Jessica and Lyndsay and Kody. She had been employed as a nurse in Manchester, NH and in North Conway, NH for a number of years. She enjoyed writing, painting, drawing, gardening, and had a great love for Teddy Bears. AUBURN - Germaine Jalbert Martel, 94, a resident of Clover Living Center, formerly of Ste. Croix Street, Lewiston, died Friday, Oct. 14, with her loving family at her side after saying her last goodbye before passing peacefully.She was born in Ste. Marie de Beauce, Quebec, on Jan. 25, 1911, a daughter of Gedeon and Celina Drouin Jalbert. As a young child, her family moved from Canada to New Auburn.She worked as a shoe cutter at Cushman Hollis Shoe Shop until it closed, then worked at Dori Shoe from which she retired. She was actively involved in many Holy Cross Parish activities.She was happily married to Rosaire N. Martel for 55 years; he died in 1986. They had a full, loving life together. They were each other's best friend. They enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.As parents, they were great role models, shaping our religious faith and morals, work ethics and family values. They never wavered, they never failed us. Our mother and father are our greatest blessings and that will remain with us forever.She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Lafrance and her husband, Roland, of Lewiston; her sons, Normand J.P. Martel and his wife, Estelle, of Lewiston, and Roger A. Il a été confié à la maison funéraire Lépine Cloutier Ltée Le service religieux sera célébré le mardi 18 octobre 2005 à 11 heures, en l’église Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens, rue Père-Marquette, coin avenue Murray, Québec et de là au cimetière Saint-Charles. Il fut également chef fondateur du service de cardiologie de l’institut de cardiologie de l’hôpital Laval et professeur titulaire à la faculté de médecine de l’Université Laval. Sa carrière médicale fut caractérisée par un profond humanisme et un inlassable dévouement à l’égard de ses patients et de leurs familles. Amy Martina (Utterberg) St. Pierre, 87, of Lovely Street, Canton, beloved wife of 60 years of the late Joseph A. St. Pierre died Saturday (October 15, 2005). She was born July 31, 1918 in West Hartford, daughter of the late Martin S. and Sigrid (Hjelmstrom) Utterberg and had lived in West Hartford prior to moving to Canton 41 years ago. She was a graduate of Hall High School. Mrs. St. Pierre worked at Travelers Insurance Company until she was married in 1940. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and a wonderful homemaker. In 1953, she began working as Bookkeeper, holding the Office of Secretary, at St. Pierre Box and Lumber Company, Inc. founded by her husband. Resigning from the Office of Chairperson in 2003, she continued working at the Company as Bookkeeper until her hospitalization in September 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Flattery and her husband, John of Canton; her son, John "Jack" St. Pierre and his wife, Karen of Burlington; and is known as "Monga" to her devoted grandchildren, Brigid (Flattery) Barnes of Arlington, VA, Candace (Flattery) Freedenberg of Canton, Shannon (Flattery) Sharp of Brooklyn, NY, Christopher St. Pierre of Las Vegas, NV, and Melanie St. Pierre of Tuscan, AZ; and two nephews, Donald Utterberg of Rocky Hill, and Robert Utterberg of Wallingford. FORT FAIRFIELD - Josephine Angelina Coty, beloved mother and grandmother, died Friday evening, Oct. 14, 2005, surrounded by her loving family at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Sept. 29, 1917, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Auriel and Delima (Nadeau) Gagnon. She attended local schools and was married to Claude A. Coty April 24, 1939. Josephine lived in Fort Fairfield for 47 years where she raised her family. Josephine's favorite saying was "Family First" and this she expressed through her unconditional love and devotion. Her many talents and interests included, cooking, sewing, crafting and traveling. Josephine was a longtime communicant of the St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield and she made her Cursillo in Frenchville, in 1992. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coty was predeceased by her husband, Claude, Aug. 24, 1990; one brother, Albert Gagnon; one sister, Fleurette Gagnon. She is survived by three sons, James Coty and his wife, Janice, of Columbia, S.C., Richard Coty and his wife, Nancy, of Lisbon Falls, Jerry Coty and Stacey Graves of Fort Fairfield; three daughters, Claudette Marquis and her husband, Romeo, of Worcester, Mass., Susan Williams and her husband, Doug, of Washington, ME, Anita Findlen and her husband, Patrick, of Clifton; two sisters, Marie Perkins and her husband, Jerry, of Modesto, Calif., and Aurelia Obrovac and her husband, Joseph, of Fair Oaks, Calif.; one brother, Norman Gagnon of Bay Shore, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. LOWELL -- Lillian Bertha "Lil" (Boure) Chandonnet, 77, a Lowell resident who was a St. Margaret Church member and volunteered in the community, died Saturday, Oct. 15, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Maurice C. Chandonnet, with whom she would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 23.She was born in Boston, April 7, 1928, daughter of the late Edward N., and Mildred L. (Snow) Boure. She was educated in Boston schools. Mrs. Chandonnet was a resident of the Highlands neighborhood of Lowell. She was a homemaker, and spent her entire life raising her family.Mrs. Chandonnet was a communicant of St. Margaret Church in Lowell. She was active in volunteer work with The Salvation Army, and numerous local political organizations and campaigns.Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sandra Sweeney of Lowell, Linda Chandonnet of Dracut; three grandchildren, Michael Boldrighini of Lowell, Taryn Sweeney of Lowell, Tammy Sweeney of Dracut; a great-grandson, Matthew Boldrighini of Lowell; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ernest and Mona Boure of Dracut, and Gerald L. LEWISTON - Suzanne Wiseman, 85, of d'Youville Pavilion, and formerly a resident of Auburn and Minot, went home to be with her family and God on Oct. 16.She was born March 7, 1920, in Bonnet, France, one of six children to Georges and Jeanne (Lavallee) Chion.She met Cpl. Vincent Wiseman while he was serving in World War II and later married him on July 7, 1945, in Bar-Le-Duc, France.She gave birth to a son, Alain Wiseman on Jan. 29, 1946, and immigrated to Lewiston later that year.She worked in the shoe industry in Lewiston while teaching herself to read and write English. She loved and missed her family in France and corresponded with them often. She made return trips to visit family by boat and then by plane as permitted.She later retired from the shoe industry and cared for her grandson Jacques Wiseman. Her husband passed away in September 1977.She remained active and could be found riding the bus between Lewiston and Auburn, shopping and visiting the library for many years. She even continued to ride her bicycle along with her grandson throughout the Auburn countryside for many years, and held a special place in his heart. She gave tirelessly of herself to her family, often thinking of them rather than herself. She always enjoyed coffee and a croissant, a day of shopping, or taking in a movie with her grandson. Even when the effects of Alzheimer's had robbed her of many memories, she would always have a smile and enjoy a meal with family at Campus Cuisine, especially with her son and daughter-in-law Barbara Wiseman.She had a special place in her heart for her great-grandson Jake Wiseman, and she loved to hold his hand while being pushed in her wheelchair. She will be sadly missed and thought of often.She leaves a son, Alain Wiseman and his wife, Barbara, of Minot; a grandson, Jacques Wiseman and his wife, Martha, of Mechanic Falls; and a great-grandson, Jake Wiseman.She was predeceased by her three sisters; two brothers from France; and her husband, Vincent.

Roland Gagne Jr. 24 of 25 Dollard St. Blackstone, MA died Friday at home. He was born in Woonsocket the son of Roland and Rita (Nault) Gagne Sr. Mr. Gagne graduated from the Blackstone Valley Regional Technical School in Upton MA. Besides his parents he leaves a sister Heather Gagne of Bellingham. He was the grandson of Leona Lemon of Hopedale and the late Normand Gagne and the late Herve and Delora (DeVaudreil) Nault.
