Berube, 58, formerly of 2 Oxbow Drive, Lewiston, died Saturday morning, Oct. 8, at d'Youville Pavilion following a long illness.She was born in Lewiston on Oct. 31, 1946, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Chamberlain) Aube. She attended schools in Lewiston and was a graduate of Lewiston High School in 1964. She later attended and graduated from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing.She married Joseph W. Berube Jr. on March 25, 1970.She worked for many years at Maison Marcotte as a certified medical technician.She was a member of Holy Family Church.Cecile enjoyed cooking, knitting, making rosary beads for people, and loved being with her family who will miss her dearly.She is survived by her husband, Joseph, of Lewiston; her mother, Irene Aube, of Lewiston; her daughter, Angela Gagne and her husband, David, of Lewiston; her son, Jimmy and his wife, Lisa, of Lewiston; her sister, Theresa Hood and her husband, David, of North Carolina; her brother, Henry Aube and his wife, Cindy, of Auburn; her grandchildren, Anthony of Lewiston, Ricky of Kenduskeag and Heather of Brewer; two great-grandchildren, Stephen and Arriana; a brother-in-law, Bob Berube and his wife, Lauren, of Lewiston; and two nieces, Stephanie and Christine Hood of North Carolina.

Born in Berlin, NH, he was a son of the late Leon A. and Catherine B. (Gillis) Gallant. Mr. Gallant was a Machinist for Brown & Sharpe, retiring in 1990. After his retirement he owned and operated Classic Kitchens of Cranston from 1991-1996. He was a member of the D'Abormida Club of Warwick. He was a Red Sox Fan. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren.He is survived by, a son Joseph N. Gallant, Jr., of Warwick; three daughters, Joann Pontarelli, of Coventry, Marie L. LANCTOT, Doris H. - (1920-2005) Beloved sister of Robert E. Lanctot (1915-2005), died peacefully in her sleep at her home in San Francisco on October 4, 2005. She was born in Pasadena, CA, on September 19, 1920, the daughter of David and Mary Lanctot. At the age of five, Doris' family moved to San Fran. She attended Lowell High School and received a Bachelor of Arts, Economics from U.C. Berkeley in 1942. She started her career with Pan Am and PG&E before establishing a long and dedicated tenure as supervising librarian for Bechtel Corporation in S.F. (1951- 1985). In addition to being a wonderful aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt, Miss Lanctot loved dogs, especially her Boston Terriers. She was an avid traveler, gourmet cook and a fan of both mystery novels and cookbooks. She was, until her death, an active volunteer at the Asian Art Museum. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Jane J. Lanctot of San Francisco; her nieces and nephews (Lawrence R. Lanctot, Lynne M. Lanctot, Stephen T. Lanctot, Denise J. Lanctot-Balle, Teresa M. Wehn); 10 great-nieces and nephews (Andrea M. Enright, Michele A. Waller, Brendan H. Lanctot, Madelyn M. Lanetot, Caitlin A. Lanctot, Erin J. Juhl, Jonathan E. Juhl, Andrew K Wehn, Austin B. NORTH BAY, NY -- Russell F. Martel, 79, of State Route 49, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y. He was born January 31, 1926, in Rensselaer, N.Y., a son of Richard and Grace Young Martel. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and married Kathleen Lovejoy on March 6, 1948 in Fulton, N.Y. In 1988, they moved to the North Bay area from Latham, N.Y., where they lived for 40 years. Russell was employed at International Playtex, Watervliet, N.Y., from 1946 until his retirement in 1988. He was an owner of Marcy Beverage Center, Inc. since 1974. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen; three daughters, Linda and Thomas Zych of Troy, N.Y., Jean Battaglia of Latham, Mary Beth and Karl Steffen of Latham; two sons, Gary and Michele Martel of Glen Allen, Va., Brent and Laurie Martel of Rome, N.Y.; numerous grandchildren; three sisters, Meredith Hill of Troy, Meryl and Joseph Popp of Latham, Irma and John Behuniak of St. James City, Fla.; a brother, Ronald and Jean Martel of Utica, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Florence Martel of Latham; a brother-in-law, Richard and Jo Lovejoy of Rumford, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Martel. At the request of Mr. Martel, there will be no funeral services. PLANTE, JOSEPH M., 84, formerly of North Pleasant Street, died Friday at Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry. Born in Coventry, a son of the late Arsene and Marie (Theroux) Plante. He was a resident of West Warwick for most of his life.Mr. Plante was an aircraft mechanic at Quonset Point Naval Air Station for 30 years before retiring in 1973. FITCHBURG -- Alice C. (Joyal) Rogers, 94, formerly of 42 Hartford Street, died Friday evening at The Highlands, Fitchburg. Mrs. Rogers was born in Leominster, Nov. 30, 1910, a daughter of Arthur and Marie Louis (Lamoureax) Joyal and resided in Fitchburg for most of her life. She was the wife of the late Edmond P. Rogers who died in November, 1990. She is survived by a sister, Bernadette Lalancette of Fitchburg; two nephews, Atty. Robert LaLancette of Ashburnham and Dr. Eugene A. LaLancette of Fitchburg; two nieces, Elaine Barnard of Albuquerque, N.M., and Paula Matukaitis of Palmer. She also leaves several grand nieces and grand nephews. She was the sister of the late Eugene Joyal of Acton. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Fitchburg as well as its Ladies of St. Anne. LeFEVRE, LILLIAN Our beloved, Lillian LeFevre died September 23, 2005 with her family by her bedside. She was born September 1, 1927 in Bethlehem, PA and has lived the last 15 years in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. As a loving wife, mother, and grandmother she leaves behind a legacy of love and caring to be reunited with her husband, Ted, of nearly 60 years. She was born February 25, 1917 to Hubert H. and Ida Smith owners of the Hubert H. Smith Meat Packing Co. The former Catherine Smith married Lawrence J. Bolduc June 12, 1940 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Muskegon and was married for 51 years. He preceded her in death in 1991. Mrs. Bolduc graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1935 and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 10 years as President of the Catholic Daughter's of America, 11 years as a volunteer for the Red Cross, a member of the Widows Together and past President of the Muskegon Deanery council of Catholic Women. Fils de Nazarice Saint-Germain et de Clara Pouliot, il est né le 6 mai 1928 à Sainte-Angèle de Monnoir, Québec. Ses études secondaires terminées, il entre chez les Servites-de-Marie où il fait profession religieuse le 18 août 1947. Au Collège Dominicain d'Ottawa, il poursuit sa formation philosophique et théologique qu'il termine à la Faculté Marianum à Rome. Il est ordonné prêtre le 3 avril 1954 à Rome. De retour au Canada, il exerce son ministère paroissial à Ottawa, Gaspé et Montréal. En 1967, il devient aumônier d'hôpital à Ottawa, Winnipeg, St-Boniface, et depuis 1988, à l'hôpital Marie-Clarac à Montréal-Nord. Waltham – Sr. Marguerite M. Aucoin, R.C.E. of Waltham, died Friday October 7, 2005 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 81.Born in Newton, a daughter of the late Simon and Christina (Chiasson) Aucoin, she graduated from Waltham Senior High School and from Boston College. She also earned her masters degree in educational administration at Boston College. Sr. Marguerite entered the Religious of Christian Education congregation in August of 1943. She taught at Jeanne d’Arc Academy in Milton, Immaculata Catholic School in Hendersonville, North Carolina and from 1948 until 1970 at Saint Pierre’s School in Waltham. She served as principal at Saint Pierre’s from 1964 until 1970. After that she served for thirteen years as Religious Education Coordinator at Saint Joseph’s Church in Waltham where she also did volunteer work for many years after retirement.She leaves one brother, John Aucoin of Fort Worth, Florida, two sisters, Doris Dunham of Waltham, Lucille O’Sullivan of North Easton and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Norman R. Beauregard, 88, of Wonx Spring Rd., Plantsville section, Southington, died Thursday, (October 6, 2005) at Hartford Hospital in Hartford. He was the husband of the late Rita (Cantin) Beauregard. He was born on June 19, 1917 the son of the late Zephirin and Elise (Roy) Beauregard. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Fafnir Bearing in New Britain for 20 years, and later worked for Industrial Safety in West Hartford for 10 years. He was parishioner of St. Aloysius Church. He Served in the Army during World War II. Mr. Beauregard enjoyed woodworking and had a special love of animals. He is survived by his son, Dennis Beauregard; a daughter, Claudette Sozzi and her husband Neil all of Plantsville; two grandchildren, Scott Beauregard and Lori Beauregard; a great grandson, David Garcia; a special friend Virginia Dunn; and several nieces and nephews. (Bentley) Ouellet, 58 of North Avenue in Attleboro, MA, a loving mother, grand-mother, daughter and sister, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of over 38 years of Paul F. Ouellet. Born in Springfield on Jan. 11, 1947 she was the daughter of Jean (Rokosz, Bentley, Kupiec) and the late Charles Bentley. Connie was raised and educated in Springfield and a graduate of Commerce High School, class of 1964. She later studied at Dean Junior College in Franklin and Fisher Junior College in North Attleboro. While living in Springfield she attended the Polish National Church. She was formerly employed as a customer relations representative at Morton Hospital in Taunton for several years and earlier employed at Kendall Corp. in Mansfield. A resident of Attleboro since 1969, Connie enjoyed gardening, traveling locally and within the United States and spending time with her daughters and granddaughter. In addition to her beloved husband, Paul, and mother, Jean, Connie is survived by two daughters: Marie Ouellet of Worcester and Rene Ouellet of Attleboro; a granddaughter: Ocean Calpin of Attleboro; three brothers: Charles Bentley of Springfield, Edward Bentley of Westfield and Mitchell Kupiec of Springfield; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Terry W. Porche Sr., 58, a native and resident of Houma, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005.Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Samart Funeral Home in Bayou Blue. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in Roger’s Cemetery.He is survived by his wife, Earline Dupre Porche; three sons, Terry W. Porche Jr., Steven J. Porche and wife, Donna D. Porche, and Shane Porche and wife, Candace S. Porche; four brothers, Kenneth Porche, Johnny Porche, Ernest Porche Jr. and Kevin Porche; three sisters, June Albert, Debra Price and Sandra Bray; and six grandchildren Kati King, Kameryn Porche, Steven "Square" Porche II and Gordon Porche.He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Porche Sr. and Victoria Lovell Porche and three sisters, Gail Porche, Judy Falgout and Lana Porche.He was employed by Rigger Beverly Industries.He was a Pentecostal and a member of the First Assembly and served in the Army during the Vietnam War.His hobbies included fishing and spoiling his grandchildren.

Waltham - Mrs. Bridget J. (Smart) Doucet of Waltham died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Epoch Senior Health Care Center, Weston. She was 93.Born in Saint John's, Newfoundland, a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Walsh) Smart, she had lived in Waltham since 1945. Mrs. Doucet worked for many years at Grover Cronin’s Department Store in Waltham.She was the wife of the late Peter J. Doucet, mother of the late Joseph J. Doucet and sister of the late Marina Brockelhurst.She is survived by her children, Victor T. Doucet and George P. Doucet both of Waltham, Peter J. Doucet of Watertown, Albert G. Doucet of Riverside, California, Pauline Mills of Roslindale, Jeanette T. Cooper of New Mexico, and Lucille M. HICKSON, Keith 48 yrs with Canadian Pacific Express Peacefully, Saturday, October 8, 2005 surrounded by family following a 15 year battle with cancer. Thomas Keith Hickson, age 79. He was the son of the late Thomas and Edna (Quirk) Hickson. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 55 years, Phyllis Duncan and children Nancy, Tom (Penny Thompson), Lorraine (Dan Devlin), Sally (Joe Gosset) and son-in-law Darren Sim, husband of Keith's daughter Jennifer who passed away May 2005. Sadly missed by granddaughters Janna (Brent Cameron), Amber, Kelsey and Shaylah and very close cousin Dorothy Cloutier. The family would like to thank Dr. Donald Guy, Dr. Cripps, the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre and the nurses and staff of the Queensway Carleton Hospital for their attention and care. PEMBROKE -- Michael J. Chaput, 50, a lifelong resident of the Pembroke-Allenstown area, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at Concord Hospital. The son of Arthur R. Chaput, who died Oct. 30, 2004, and Anita (Durant) Chaput of Allenstown, Mr. Chaput was born in Manchester on Sept. 17, 1955. He was a 1973 graduate of Pembroke Academy and a member of the varsity baseball team there. Later he played goalie in the Concord Men's Hockey League. He had worked for many years as a foreman for the town of Allenstown Highway Department and had also been employed for the former Merrimack Wayside Furniture Co. in Concord. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman, whose greatest love was deer hunting. In 1986, he shot an eight-point, 237-pound deer for which he received the New Hampshire 200-pound Trophy Buck patch. With his father as a partner, he also shot a 700 pound bull moose. Mr. Chaput adored his family and told everyone how proud he was of his daughter, who is studying abroad at the American University of Paris. He carried pictures of her and of his nieces and nephews in his wallet from the time they were born. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jane Gordon of Pembroke; his daughter, Katie Chaput of Paris, France; his brothers, Robert and his wife, Donna Chaput, of Nashua and Dennis "Ned" Chaput and his fiancée, Dawna, of Allenstown; his sister and her husband, Claire and Gary Watjen of Allenstown; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 4 to 7 p.m. at Petit Funeral Home, 167 Main St., Pembroke. Graveside services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Allenstown. STANLEY, Mary Jane (Molly) Peacefully on Saturday, October 8th, 2005 at the age of 102 at the Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre. Her beloved husband, Louis, predeceased her in 1944. Sadly predeceased by her two sons, Glen and Jim. Dear mother of Maureen McIntyre (Joe). She will be missed by her daughter-in-law Germaine (Glen). Her nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild will remember Molly fondly. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 151 Laurier Ave. on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 12 noon. Burial of the ashes will be held in Winnipeg. The family wishes to extend many thanks for the wonderful care Molly received from all the staff in the Gatineau 2 South wing of the Centre.
