WORCESTER— Mary Rose (Brazeau) Spencer, 97, of Marble Street, died Friday, October 7, in Knollwood Nursing Home, after an illness. Her husband, Vernon L. Spencer, Sr., died in 1988. She leaves a son, Robert E. Spencer, husband of Barbara of Worcester and a daughter, Barbara A. Upgard, wife of Leonard of Millbury; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Vernon L. Spencer Jr.; a sister, Delia Brazeau, and a grandson, Lt. Thomas Spencer. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Adolphe and Malvina (Blanchette) Brazeau. Mrs. Spencer worked for Chess King Co. for many years and she was the first retiree from the company. She loved the Red Sox. The funeral will be held on Monday, October 10 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, (www.Royfuneral.com), 12 Hammond Street, with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Rose M. (Charette) Mushrall, entered into eternal life peacefully at home on Wednesday (October 5, 2005) to be with her beloved husband, Harvey. Born on February 23, 1907, she was a very giving person, loved to play cards, Bingo and travel. She was a wonderful baker and a mother to all who knew her. She is predeceased by three brothers, Joe, Louie and Frederick Charette; a sister, Lee; a son, Albert Mushrall Sr.; a daughter, Irene Kane; a baby daughter; a grandson, Mathew Kane; and a great grandson, Jeffrey Mushrall. She leaves behind a son, Raymond Mushrall of Oklahoma; a daughter, Jeanne Prusinowski of Collinsville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A special thank-you to Kay Sweeney her nurse for taking such loving care of our Gram. A memorial service will be at the convenience of the grandchildren. LUDLOW - Wilfred R. Charron, 79, of Cady St., died Thursday, October 6 in Holyoke Soldier's Home. Born in Ludlow, MA, January 2, 1926, he was son of the late Elric and Catherine (Dunaj) Charron. Educated in local schools, he was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, a member of American Legion Post 275, and was and avid hunter and fisherman, golfer and bowler, and belonged to the Oregon Fish & Gamer Club. He was employed as a maintenance worker for the US Postal Service with many years of experience. An Army veteran of World War II he attained the rank of Technician Fifth Grade with Headquarters company 1169 th Engineer Combat Group. He is survived by his wife of over 50years, Doris C. (Pouliot) Charron; a son, David E. Charron of Springfield; a daughter, Lynn C. Gregory and her husband, Dennis of Middletown, RI; grandfather of Ashley LaPrey and Brendan LaPrey of Middletown, RI; and a brother, Franklin D. Charron of OK. Babin, Loretta Daigle "Nonnie" A native of White Castle and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 80 years old. Madeleine Dansereau, 80, of Blackstone Village, wife of 54 years to Noel Dansereau, died on Friday, (October 7, 2005) at her home. Born in St. Hyacinthe, Canada on August 19, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Honore Fournier. She had resided in Meriden for over 25 years and was educated in Canada. She was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church. Besides her husband, Noel, she is survived by three sons, Chris Dansereau and his wife, Mary of Plymouth, MA, Pierre Dansereau and his fiancee, Sandi Mikulak of Farmington, Ivan Dansereau and his wife, Lily of Redmond, WA; five grandchildren, Kristen and her husband, Douglas Libby, Michael, Matthew, and Kelly Dansereau; two great-grandchildren, Michaela and Tess Libby; two sisters, Fernande Prefontaine and Jeanne Duquette both of St. Hyacinthe, Canada; also survived by several nieces and nephews. LEOMINSTER- Charles P. “Charlie Mo” Morin, Sr., 55, of 7 Flaggler Road, died Thursday, Oct. 6, in UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, after a yearlong battle with kidney cancer. He was born April 6, 1950, in Leominster, the son of the late Pierre and Rita (Landry) Morin and has lived in Leominster his entire life. Mr. Morin worked as a lineman for Mass Electric/National Grid for 35 years. He was a member of the Franco-American War Veterans of Leominster and was their former social secretary and was also a member of the Leominster Sportsman Club. He enjoyed golfing, boating, and fishing. A family man and doting grandfather, he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.He leaves his wife whom he has been with for 36 years, Pat (Wright) Morin; his son, Charles P. Herman Sonnier 84, of Nederland, TX, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2005 at his residence. He was a native of Solieu, LA born September 6, 1921, and was a resident of the Nederland area since 1989 and was a former resident of Basile, LA. He was a retired Operator with the Heavy Equipment Operators Local in Lake Charles, LA and was previously employed with Halliburton and Transit Mix. Survivors include two daughters, Jean Jones and husband, Wesley and Ruth Riley, and husband, Michael all of Nederland; Six grandchildren, Johnny Brown, Dale Brown, Denise Fasulo, Darrel Berwick, Wayne Berwick, Kari Riley; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Bertha Schumacher of Beaumont and Merdley Allen of Port Neches. Judith A. (Desrosiers) Hughes of Revere, a retired executive secretary, died Wednesday at her home. She was 58. Born in Boston, she was raised in Revere and lived there most of her life. She graduated from Revere High School in 1966 and later from Burdett Business School. Mrs. Hughes worked as an executive secretary for the maintenance division of the city of Melrose and for the business manager of Melrose public schools. She loved cooking, reading and knitting at Sit & Knit in Melrose. Mrs. Hughes is survived by her husband, J. Michael; a daughter, Kimberly A. Dowdie of Wakefield; two sons, Michael B. of Melrose and Sean M. of Saugus; a brother, Kenneth Desrosiers; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by four brothers & a sister. Mr. Ethier was born in Barre on July 21, 2005, the son of Onezine & Marie (Lavalle) Ethier and had lived in Barre all his life. Mr. Gravelle was born Nov. 14, 1930, in Fitchburg, son of Ernest and Mary Ann (Nadeau) Gravelle. He retired in 1993 from the Fitchburg Paper Co. where he had worked for 44 years. GRIVOIS -- Sandra Lynn Grivois, 57, of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2005 at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque. She is survived by her husband, friend, and companion of 26 years, Joseph R. Grivois; nine children, Christina Za of Albuquerque, Lisa Grivois, Tammy Grivois, Stephen Grivois, Ronald Grivois, and Donna Zandt, all of Wichita, KS, Suzanne Cresswell of Denver, CO, Kevin Grivois of CA, and Thomas Ulrich of IN; 17 grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Brenda Davis, and nephew, Jonathan Davis, all of Parkville, MO; and an aunt, Evelyn Fretz of Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Elaine in 1994. Sandra Lynn was an ardent contributor to the Sweet Adelines and the church choir. She gave to many humanitarian organizations and charities. She was an extremely devout member of the Roman Catholic Church and will be missed dearly by many devoted relatives, friends, co-workers and acquaintances. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, October 10, 2005, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel. Friends may visit on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until time of Rosary following. SPENCER— Alfred H. Laprade, Sr., 84, of 5 Greenville St., died Friday, October 7 after an illness. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Yvette J. (Gregoire) Laprade, two sons, eight daughters, twenty one grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mr. Laprade owned and operated the former Laprade's Service Station in Spencer for 50 years, retiring in 1986. He graduated from David Prouty High School, attended Clark University, and was a member of St. Mary's Church. He served as a radio man in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post 138-Spencer. He was a good and gentle man loved by his family and respected by his community. He will always be remembered for his abundant love, integrity and compassion. His legacy lives on. Remember him with acts of kindness. The funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 10 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., with a Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 60 Maple St., Spencer. Broussard, 88, who died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, in Abbeville.Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville.The Rev. Floyd Calais will be officiating.Readers will be Michelle E. LaPorte, Danielle L. David, Nicole L. Moss and Erin F. Segura.Mr. Broussard was born in Kaplan, La. in 1916. He attended Mt. Carmel until the seventh grade. He graduated from Abbeville High in 1934. He graduated from L.S.U. and was a member of the L.S.U. Tiger baseball team and was considered one of the best fielding first basemen by members of the press. Mr. Broussard was a member of the Gueydan High faculty in 1941, 1942 and 1946. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was sent to officers training in Quantico, Va. He was commissioned for 2nd Lieutenant in 1942 and spent three months in reserve officer class learning military tactics. He served in Samoa, New Zealand, Guadalcanal, Bouganville and New Celadonia. He made the attack on the Japanese in Bouganville where he was in the initial landing. Having contracted malaria, he was sent to Yosenomite National Park for rest and recuperation. Mr. Broussard was discharged in 1945 after being elevated to Captain.He founded Broussard Pontiac-GMC in 1946 which developed into a successful business.Mr. Broussard was elected as a member of the Abbeville City Council under the administration of Mayor J.E. Kibbie serving as mayor-protend. He was reelected in 1954 serving on the Roy Theriot Administration.He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, past commander of the American Legion, past president of the Abbeville Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Abbeville Rotary Club and a Paul Harris fellow.Mr. Broussard was elected mayor of Abbeville in 1962. While mayor he prevailed upon the legislature to place all city employees on Civil Service thereby preventing them from losing jobs with a change of administration.He was a member of the Abbeville Building and Loan Savings Bank serving as its chairman until his death.Mr. Broussard was an avid hunter and fisherman.He was inducted as a living legend at the Earth Museum.For the 2005 Cattle Festival, Mr. Broussard was chosen Citizen of the Year.Survivors include three daughters, Dolores B. Landry and her husband, Paul, Sandra B. Landry and her husband, John T., and Diane B. MISSOULA - Pfc. Andrew D. Bedard died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, as the result of injuries sustained while on active duty in Iraq.Andrew was born in Missoula on May 21, 1986, the only child of Michelle and Dennis Bedard. He attended Franklin, Mount Jumbo and Prescott elementary schools, Rattlesnake Middle School and Hellgate High School, where he was a 2004 honor roll graduate.He competed for the Hellgate Knights in cross country for three years. Andrew enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps before his senior year. He went through basic training at the Marine Corps recruiting depot in San Diego, Calif., and was stationed at 29 Palms, Calif., prior to being deployed to Ramadi, Iraq, in September 2005.Andrew was mature beyond his years, polite and kind to everyone. He was a devoted friend to so many, always cared more about others than himself, never liked much attention lavished upon him, was a model student and a son any mother and father would be proud to call their own. He loved to travel the United States and Europe with a spirit of adventure learned with his mother.His hobbies included playing golf with his dad, running, weightlifting, skiing, poker and spending as much time as possible with a large circle of friends, for whom he lived the Marine Corps motto, "Semper Fidelus," always faithful. His dog, Boingo, was another favorite companion that Andrew loved and cared for deeply.Survivors include his mother, Michelle Bedard, of Missoula; his father, Dennis Bedard, of Corvallis; his maternal grandmother Janice Krone of Brooklyn Center, Minn., seven uncles; and 11 cousins.Services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church. OPELOUSAS -Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Opelousas for James Burton Angelle Jr., 55, who died at 7:51 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Doctor's Hospital in Opelousas.Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lafayette.The Rev. John Uhl will conduct the services.He was a member of the New Hope Presbyterian Church in Opelousas.A native of Breaux Bridge, La. and a resident of Sunset, Burt Angelle graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1973 earning a degree in business administration. While attending USL, he was an active member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, serving as chapter president.Mr. Angelle was president of Angelle and Donohue Oil & Gas Properties Inc., a company he started in 1978. He was also president of Dominion Oil Properties Inc. as well as land manager for Quest Exploration. He was a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen and Lafayette Association of Petroleum Landmen.Two principal focuses of his life were his family and his service to the Lord. Mr. Angelle helped found Westminster Christian Academy in 1978 and had served as a member of the school board for more than two decades. Other ministries of his included leading Bible studies and providing pulpit supply at Atchafayla Presbyterian Church.Survivors include his mother, Shirley D. Angelle, of Breaux Bridge; his wife, Lauren Shan Wirick Angelle, of Sunset, La.; his sons, Burton Angelle III and wife, Anne Trahan Angelle, of Lafayette, La., Jonathan Wirick Angelle, of Sunset, La., and Luke Edward Angelle, of Sunset, La.; his daughter, Lauren Ray Angelle Gordon and husband, Gerald Keith, of Oxford, Miss.; his brothers, Scott Angelle and wife, Diane, of Breaux Bridge, La., Brian Angelle, of Breaux Bridge, La., and Glenn Angelle and Jennifer, of Breaux Bridge, La.; four sisters, Sharron Thomassee and husband, Philip, of Lafayette, La., Julia Theriot and husband, Neil, of Eagan, Minn., Brenda Angelle, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Nannette Angelle, of Breaux Bridge, La.; and by a host of nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, J. George R. Bastien of Arlington Heights Services and interment for George R. Bastien will be private. He was born Feb. 16, 1926, in Evanston to George L. and Ann (nee Simpson) Bastien. He passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Manor Care in Arlington Heights. George was a Navy veteran, serving for six years during World War II and the Korean War; a life member of Arlington Heights V.F.W. Post #981 and American Legion Post # 208. He also worked for Wells Lamont Corp. for over 40 years until his retirement in 1991. George also found time to volunteer as a monitor in the computer room of the Arlington Heights Senior Center. George is survived by his daughter, Lynn A. Bucher of Madison, Wis. and one niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis (nee Schwall), whom he married Dec. 7, 1947, in Evanston; and his sister, Betty Ann Owens. NEW BEDFORD -- Linda Lee (Cambra) Perras, 45, of New Bedford died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of Cynthia M. (Perry) Pauline of Acushnet and the late Manuel C. Cambra, and the stepdaughter of Alfred C. Pauline of Acushnet. She lived in New Bedford most of her life and attended Assembleia Pentecostal Church. She was a watchman at Sea Watch and previously worked in textile factories. Mrs. Perras enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; she also enjoyed camping. Survivors include her mother and stepfather; two sons, Matthew Perras and Justin Perras, both of New Bedford; a sister, Donna DeCosta of Winter Haven, Fla.; three brothers, Christopher Pauline of Acushnet, John Cambra of New Bedford and Channing Hathaway of Norridgewalk, Maine; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and several nieces and nephews. She will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd.

Florence (Elmquist) Nadeau, 89, of West Hartford, widow of Emile L. Nadeau died Wednesday, (October 5, 2005) at a local convalescent home. Born in Hartford daughter of the late Henry and Esther Elmquist she had lived in West Hartford for most of her life and was retired form the Royal Typewriter. She lovingly dedicated her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters Joyce Nadeau and Valerie Doyon both of West Hartford; a granddaughter, Lisa Brice and her husband James of Manchester and two great granddaughters Holly and Kaitlyn Brice. She was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. Her funeral is Monday 12 Noon at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford.
