COLETTI, Stella (nee Augustine), It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother, in her 98th year, at the Welland County General Hospital, on Wednesday, October 5, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Louis Coletti (Ma y 17, 1981). Loving mother of Mary (Fred) Gabriel of Thorold, Lorraine (Jack) Hallarn of Toronto, Irene (Don) Warkentin of Thorold and the late John Coletti (February 26, 1997) and his wife Betty of St. Ann's. Loved grandma of 11 grandchildren, 21 gr eat-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Survived by her sister-in-law Rose Augustine. Predeceased by her two sisters Ann Whitehead, Florence Colonna and two brothers Frank and Anthony Augustine. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Stella was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and the CWL for over 60 years, a member of the Mary McMillan Liberal Ladies Association and the Hotel Dieu Hospital Auxiliary. Brother of Jillian Hill (Edward), and adopted father and grandfather of Kathleen and Sean, he is cherished by a large circle of extended family and friends around the world for his kindness, ideas, strong sense of social justice, wry story-telling humor, and love for God and the disenfranchised. GALLANGER, Bertram John Peacefully at the Rosewood Retirement Centre Kingston, Ontario on Wednesday October 5, 2005 in his 86th year. Born in Toronto May 12, 1920. The son of the late John & Susan Gallanger. Predeceased by his wife Marie Bonner. Bert spent many years in the retail clothing trade in Toronto and then Ottawa followed by many years in the federal government deparment of trade and commerce textiles. Following retirement Bert was a very active volunteer notably with St. Stephen's Anglican Church and the West End Chaplaincy Ottawa food bank. Bert is survived by his sister Norma Lavender (Walt) Richmond Hill, ON, neice Ellen Gallacher (David), Newmarket, ON, nephew Warren Lavender (Cathy) Ivy, ON, niece Judy Wyzel (Jim) San Antonio, California and nephew Peter Marsh (Sally) Howe Island, ON. NEW BEDFORD -- Linda Lee (Cambra) Perras, 45, of New Bedford died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of Cynthia M. (Perry) Pauline of Acushnet and the late Manuel C. Cambra, and the stepdaughter of Alfred C. Pauline of Acushnet. She lived in New Bedford most of her life and attended Assembleia Pentecostal Church. She was a watchman at Sea Watch and previously worked in textile factories. Mrs. Perras enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; she also enjoyed camping. Survivors include her mother and stepfather; two sons, Matthew Perras and Justin Perras, both of New Bedford; a sister, Donna DeCosta of Winter Haven, Fla.; three brothers, Christopher Pauline of Acushnet, John Cambra of New Bedford and Channing Hathaway of Norridgewalk, Maine; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and several nieces and nephews. She will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd.

Florence (Elmquist) Nadeau, 89, of West Hartford, widow of Emile L. Nadeau died Wednesday, (October 5, 2005) at a local convalescent home. Born in Hartford daughter of the late Henry and Esther Elmquist she had lived in West Hartford for most of her life and was retired form the Royal Typewriter. She lovingly dedicated her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. From 1938 to 1946, he was a member of the Rhode Island State Police. In 1953, he started Lee J. Joyal Co. of Lyman, SC that specialized in textile equipment and supplies. In 1970 he formed Joyal Industries in Coventry, RI, which manufactured infra-red heating equipment. In 1972 he started Swiss Screen Corp. in Lyman, SC. Mr. Joyal was a 32nd degree Mason at King Solomon's Lodge in East Greenwich, RI and a member of the Winnipesaukee Lodge #75. He was also a member of the Shriners in Clearwater, FL. He served as president of Woodland Waters Association for many years and president of United Associations of Alton for 5 years. In His Life: He was a self-made business man, entrepreneur, world traveler, boater, fisherman and hunter. He gave wise counsel whether personal or business. Lee was best described as always jovial, always concerned, always positive and always able. He will be missed by his family and many friends. Family members include his daughter, Susan Riddle, of Derry, his son Jeffrey Joyal, of Greenville, SC; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Morgan, Rebecca Robinson, Katie Joyal, Jesse Joyal and Courtney Peake and 5 great grandchildren. George R. Bastien of Arlington Heights Services and interment for George R. Bastien will be private. He was born Feb. 16, 1926, in Evanston to George L. and Ann (nee Simpson) Bastien. He passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Manor Care in Arlington Heights. George was a Navy veteran, serving for six years during World War II and the Korean War; a life member of Arlington Heights V.F.W. Post #981 and American Legion Post # 208. He also worked for Wells Lamont Corp. for over 40 years until his retirement in 1991. George also found time to volunteer as a monitor in the computer room of the Arlington Heights Senior Center. George is survived by his daughter, Lynn A. Bucher of Madison, Wis. and one niece and two nephews. NEWHALL, Calif. — Fernande "Fern" L. Lucier Plizga died September 20, 2005 at the age of 79, after a long illness. She was born August 9, 1926 in Laconia, the daughter of Maria and Valmore Lucier. She attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and graduated from Laconia High School. She lived with her husband at Friendly Valley in Newhall, Calif. for the last 13 years.She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Albert J. Plizga, of Newhall; her son and daughter in law, Wayne and Carol Plizga; three daughters, Lynn Yale, Diane Bouchard and her husband Bob, and Sandra Neeper and her husband Chris, all of California; eight grandchildren: Richard and Randall Yale, Christy and Kimberly Bouchard, Jeffery and Michael Plizga, Jennifer and Nicholas Neeper; four brothers, Richard "Ty" Lucier and his wife Arline of Laconia, Donald Lucier and his wife Ruby of Tilton, Victor Lucier and his wife Mary of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and Edgar Lucier and his wife Doris of Duluth, Ga.; two sisters, Rita Morin and her husband Alexander of Laconia, and Arlene LaPlante and her husband Roger of Spring Hills, Fla. FORT KENT - Lawrence P. Madore, 95, died peacefully at a local healthcare facility. He was born June 22, 1910, in Fort Kent, the son of Peter and Agnus (Beland) Madore. Lawrence was a head cutter for Great Northern Paper Company until his retirement in 1973. He was a member of the Pulp and Sulphite Union. He is survived by two sisters, Emily Brown and Lorette Soucy, both of Manchester, Conn.; several nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Doris "Dot" Marquis of Fort Kent. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Emily Berube Madore; four brothers, Herbie, Wilfred, George and Romeo Madore; and one sister, Cecile Soucy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Paul Labree officiating. Committal service will follow in the parish cemetery. ARMSTRONG, ALICE A.94, formerly of Blackstone Falls and of Cottage Street, Central Falls died today at the Friendly Nursing Home in Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Adelard Armstrong.Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Joseph and Georgianna (Marchand) Martin, she was a lifelong resident of the city. COHOES, NY -- Martin George Ray Rondeau, 68, of Remsen St., passed peacefully into God's arms October 4, 2005. Ray was a self-employed general contractor and painter in St. Louis, Mo., as well as Albany. He retired in 1995 and, for the past three years, was employed by Folmsbee's Transportation in Waterford. He went into the U.S. Army at the age of 15 and served in Korea and Germany and was awarded a Purple Heart. Ray was born May 27, 1937 in Ogdensburg to the late Rayfield and Audrey Rondeau. He is the father of Sheila Kay Rondeau and Darryl Ray Rondeau of St. Louis, Mo. and Lawrence Thomas Rondeau of Waterford. Ray was legally separated with Joan Harris Rondeau. Ray is brother to Joan Logan of Ogdensburg, Rick LaFlair of Key West, Fla., Larry LaFlair of Fla. and Paul LaFlair of St. Louis. He is predeceased by brother, Michael. Also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friend to his beloved Donna. Ray was passionate in his spirit for life. He loved, honored, respected and cherished the family he had from all areas of the United States. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Philip J. UTICA, N.Y. -- Mrs. Eva D. Favro passed into the hands of the Lord peacefully with her family by her side on Oct. 5th, in Utica, N.Y., at the home of her daughter and son-in-law after a 2 and 1/2-year illness. She was born in Montreal, Quebec, on Dec. 8, 1931, the 11th of 12 children to Mrs. Jessie Rose Martin and Charles Henry Martin. She lived in Montreal for 21 years, where she attended school and worked at Montreal Trust until marrying her husband of 52 years, Joseph Charles Favro and moving to Rouses Point, N.Y., where she has lived her remaining years.Eva was known as a loving, caring, giving woman, who reached out to those in need with a loving, joyful spirit. She loved her life as a wife and mother of four children. She was known for her great gift of cooking and baking and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. Eva and Joe spent the past nine winters at their winter home in Florida, where she made many wonderful new friends. She enjoyed her daily walks as well as swimming and biking.She was a member of the Rouses Point Presbyterian Church for many years, which she loved and enjoyed. Her church community was an important part of her life where she was involved in many activities and church functions. Throughout the years she treasured her many friendships and they will never be forgotten. Lena Higginbotham Fontenot, 92, of China died September 24, 2005. Born in Church Point, Louisiana, she moved to China, Texas when she was four years old and resided there until her death. Known to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family and friends as "Mammy," she was the hard-working wife of a rice farmer who enjoyed living on a farm and working in the outdoors. She loved gardening, animals, and took pride in cutting her own yard until she was in her early eighties. She especially loved her home and family and possessed a special joy in cooking for them. Her home was always warm and welcoming, and it was certainly hard to ignore the tantalizing aroma of gumbo and sweet dough pies drifting through the house. She derived her happiness from her church and serving others, especially her family, and never asked for or expected anything in return. She is survived by her daughters, Uethel Burrows and her husband Jerry of China and Anita Leger and her husband Michael of China; three granddaughters, Jaylyn Hatton of Beaumont, Tyree Saunders of China, and Denise Clement of Richmond; four great-grandchildren, Jason and Anne Marie Hatton of Beaumont, Stran Saunders of China, and Dillon Linzay Clement of Richmond. Lena was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-nine years, Linzay Fontenot. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in China with burial following at China Cemetery under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Groton - Donald E. Pineault, age 69, of 172 D St., Groton, passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 6, 2005 at his residence.He was born in Norwich on May 20, 1936, the son of Alfred and Fanny Perkins Pineault.Donald was married to Linda Makara on Jan. 6, 1973 in Norwich.He had worked for 37 years as a chemical operator at Pfizer retiring in 1991. He also had operated Don's Boat Repair for 22 years.Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Gregory A. Pineault, of Egypt, and Daniel E. Pineault, of Groton; a daughter, Donna Marie Lotti and her husband, Frank, of Waterford; a brother, Philip H. Pineault, of Norwich; two sisters, Janet Hemingway, of Baltic, and Elaine Worski, of Arizona; as well as six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.The family wishes to extend a special thank you to everyone involved with Hospice of SE Ct.A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday at 1 o'clock on the UCONN campus at Avery Point in Groton. Toups, Lee Davis Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Lee Davis Toups, 73, who died Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. Entombment will be in St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. Mr. Toups was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of New Iberia. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired as an Allstate agent. He loved coaching baseball and was a District 7 East chairman for American Legion Baseball. He also enjoyed playing golf, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Toups was serving as an Allstate Catastrophe Team member. He was also a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion and Elks Lodge in Opelousas. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Laviolette Toups of Baton Rouge; sons, Mark Stephen Toups and his wife, Michelle, of Lafayette, Troy Matthew Toups and his wife, Susan, of New Orleans, and John David Toups and his girlfriend, Rebecca, of Baton Rouge; daughter, Charisse Toups Hanchey and her husband, Brian, of Baton Rouge; brothers, Carl L. Toups and Larry Toups, both of New Iberia; sister, Myrtle Clement of Jeanerette; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Davis and Anita Borel Toups; brothers, Wiltz Toups Sr. and Nelson Toups; and baby sister, Margaret Toups. The family requested that visiting hours be observed on Friday, Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home, 112 New Market St., St. Martinville, with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 8 a.m. until time of service.
