ROY, Emile 1918 - 2005 À Montréal, le 5 octobre 2005, à l'âge de 86 ans, est décédé Émile Roy, époux de feu Laurette Bélanger. Il était le fils de feu Aimé Roy et de feu Yvonne Fréchette. Il laisse dans le deuil sesfils Denis (Naimo) et Gilbert (Ginette), ses petits-enfants Tristan, Sophie et Pierre; ses frères Jean-Paul, Gilles, Yvon (Rachel) et ses soeurs Florence, Gilberte et Lise (Bob) ainsi que de nombreux parents et amis. Membre des pompiers auxiliaires de Montréal depuis 1971, il en fut le président de 1988 à 1996. Il sera exposé au salon: Le lundi 10 octobre de 19 h à 22 h. GRIVOIS -- Sandra Lynn Grivois, 57, of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2005 at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque. She is survived by her husband, friend, and companion of 26 years, Joseph R. Grivois; nine children, Christina Za of Albuquerque, Lisa Grivois, Tammy Grivois, Stephen Grivois, Ronald Grivois, and Donna Zandt, all of Wichita, KS, Suzanne Cresswell of Denver, CO, Kevin Grivois of CA, and Thomas Ulrich of IN; 17 grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Brenda Davis, and nephew, Jonathan Davis, all of Parkville, MO; and an aunt, Evelyn Fretz of Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Elaine in 1994. Sandra Lynn was an ardent contributor to the Sweet Adelines and the church choir. She gave to many humanitarian organizations and charities. She was an extremely devout member of the Roman Catholic Church and will be missed dearly by many devoted relatives, friends, co-workers and acquaintances. Herman Sonnier 84, of Nederland, TX, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2005 at his residence. He was a native of Solieu, LA born September 6, 1921, and was a resident of the Nederland area since 1989 and was a former resident of Basile, LA. He was a retired Operator with the Heavy Equipment Operators Local in Lake Charles, LA and was previously employed with Halliburton and Transit Mix. Survivors include two daughters, Jean Jones and husband, Wesley and Ruth Riley, and husband, Michael all of Nederland; Six grandchildren, Johnny Brown, Dale Brown, Denise Fasulo, Darrel Berwick, Wayne Berwick, Kari Riley; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Bertha Schumacher of Beaumont and Merdley Allen of Port Neches. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Marie Sonnier, daughter, Joyce Marie Davis, and grandson, Christopher Berwick. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8 pm Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Broussard's Mortuary 505 12th. St. in Nederland with a Rosary service at 7:00 pm. PHILADELPHIA -- Billie Durand, formerly of Trenton and Lambertville, passed away on Sept. 27, at the Fountains in Philadelphia.Born Billie Christine Thomas in Sedalia, MO in 1923; she was, for many years, a familiar voice on the airwaves from WTTM Radio in Trenton.Billie married the late radio personality Tom Durand after they met entertaining troops in Oklahoma during World War II.They returned to Trenton to raise a family and continue their theatrical pursuits.With Tom, Billie made many guest appearnces on WTTM. As a commentator for arts and entertainment, she interviewed many high-profile stars who appeared locally.Billie performed with many area theater groups. She also worked as a lecturer/guide at the New Jersey State Museum.She was preceded in passing by her husband, G. Thompson Durand Jr. She leaves her two daughters and one son-in-law, Suzanne D. and John Gamble of Greencastle, PA and Robin J. BERGERON, Marguerite Irène (née Racicot) In loving memory of Marguerite Irène Bergeron, 92 years of age, who passed away Friday morning, October 7, 2005 at Pioneer Manor. She was born in Blind River, Ontario. She worked as a housewife and worked for over 30 years at Cochrane's Hardware Store and the D. & D. Hobby Shop, retiring in 1983. A resident of Vincent St. for many years, she was a member of St. Jean de Brebeuf Church. Marguerite was a devoted mother and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her priority. She was especially proud of them. Following her retirement, she became an avid traveller. Marguerite leaves a rich legacy of love, faith and devotion and will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Loving mother of Ernest "Junior" (wife Réjeanne) of Sudbury, Jeanne Ranger (husband Billy deceased) and Henri (wife Georgette) both of Hanmer. Mrs. Spencer worked for Chess King Co. for many years and she was the first retiree from the company. She loved the Red Sox. ENDICOTT, Robert J. (Major Ret'd - RCAF) Passed away peacefully, in the loving presence of immediate family, on Thursday, October 6, 2005, at age 65, after a six-year battle with cancer, during which he always kept his sense of humour, quick wit and love for life. He soared through the skies in Canada, U.S., Germany and France during his 37-year career as a military fighter pilot on CF-104 Starfighters, T33s, T37s, T38s, Tutors, CF-100s and Auroras, and later as an executive pilot on Dash-7s and Dash-8s. During his retired years, he enjoyed walks with his wife Ursula and their dog Teddy and getting together with family and friends at his favourite place, the cottage at Sharbot Lake, and at home in Orleans. Bob was a beloved friend and husband of Ursula (nee Wittmann); loving father of son Tom and daughter-in-law Michelle of Stittsville, and daughter Christine and son-in-law Jon Fee of Prescott. Wonderful grandfather of Alyssa, Sydney and Savanna Endicott; and Kelly and Johanna Fee, who all loved his stories. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 14 at 1 p.m. at Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. Many thanks to the staff of Home Care and the doctors and nurses in the oncology unit of Ottawa General Hospital for the wonderful care during his final weeks. She is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sadie and Francis Vicknair Sr. and Felicia "Chuttie" and Paul LeBlanc Sr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Daigle. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. MISSOULA - Pfc. Andrew D. Bedard died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, as the result of injuries sustained while on active duty in Iraq.Andrew was born in Missoula on May 21, 1986, the only child of Michelle and Dennis Bedard. He attended Franklin, Mount Jumbo and Prescott elementary schools, Rattlesnake Middle School and Hellgate High School, where he was a 2004 honor roll graduate.He competed for the Hellgate Knights in cross country for three years. Andrew enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps before his senior year. He went through basic training at the Marine Corps recruiting depot in San Diego, Calif., and was stationed at 29 Palms, Calif., prior to being deployed to Ramadi, Iraq, in September 2005.Andrew was mature beyond his years, polite and kind to everyone. He was a devoted friend to so many, always cared more about others than himself, never liked much attention lavished upon him, was a model student and a son any mother and father would be proud to call their own. He loved to travel the United States and Europe with a spirit of adventure learned with his mother.His hobbies included playing golf with his dad, running, weightlifting, skiing, poker and spending as much time as possible with a large circle of friends, for whom he lived the Marine Corps motto, "Semper Fidelus," always faithful. His dog, Boingo, was another favorite companion that Andrew loved and cared for deeply.Survivors include his mother, Michelle Bedard, of Missoula; his father, Dennis Bedard, of Corvallis; his maternal grandmother Janice Krone of Brooklyn Center, Minn., seven uncles; and 11 cousins.Services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Arrangements, date and time will be announced as soon as Andrew is home in the loving arms of his family.God, please hold our son close to you and let us forever hear his heart beat.

KINASCHUK, John, On Wednesday October 5, 2005, John passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 84. Loving husband of Helen for 58 years. Beloved father to Gary and his wife Christine and Gayle Kinaschuk. Dear papa of Naomi, Lauren, Carter, Cassandra, Amber and Kiki. Brother of Alice and her husband Bill Slonowski and brother-in-law to Stan Fedorwick of Mississauga. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters in Manitoba. John was employed for thirty five years at General Motors. Upon his retirement he worked on the farm that he purchased for the next thirty years. John will be remembered by his friends and family as a hard working man.
