GRISWOLD- Sept. 30, 2005. Doris G. Thomas, 80, of Cook Hill Rd. Griswold passed into God's hands Friday morning at the Haven Health Care Center in Jewett City.She was born Oct. 11, 1924 in Norwich daughter of the late Edmond and Florida (Rainville) Glaude.On May 18, 1946 she was married to Timothy M. Thomas in Sacred Heart Church, Taftville. He died Feb. 18, 2000.Mrs. Thomas worked at the W.W. Backus Hospital in Norwich as a nurse.She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church in Voluntown and as well as a member of the Legion of Mary.Survivors include three sons Earl M. Thomas, Eric C. Thomas and Mark W. Thomas all of Griswold, a brother Roger Glaude of Plainfield, two sisters Rita Thompson of Occum, Lorraine Thompson of Ill., two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday at 10 AM at St. Thomas Church in Voluntown followed by a gathering at the Voluntown Fire Dept. Interment will be private. There are no calling hours. The GagnePiechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Rd. Rt. 138 Jewett City is in charge of arrangements.

WILCOX, COLLEEN JACQUET Colleen Jacquet Wilcox was born March 3, 1926, in Morgantown, W.Va., the daughter of Leon and Margaret Newlon Jacquet. She passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at her home in Baton Rouge. She graduated from West Virginia University in physical education and served part of a teaching fellowship at the University of Wisconsin before marriage to Howard Wilcox of Philippi. She retired after 30 years as a school teacher, most of them spent at Chagrin Falls High School in Ohio. She was active in Women's Golf, past president of the Shenandoah Ladies Golf Association and Baton Rouge Ladies Interclub. She was also a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Howard Wilcox; daughter, Margaret Wilcox Burns of Metairie; son, Jeff L. Wilcox of Charlotte, N.C.; two granddaughters, Aleia and Jessica Burns, both of Metairie; sister, Theodorene "DeeDee" Brown, Charlotte, N.C.; and a brother, Richard Jacquet of Nevada. Visiting will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting continues at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 5805 Jones Creek Road, on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. SOUTHBRIDGE— Ralph J. Jolin, Jr., 27, of 476 Hamilton St., died Saturday, Oct. 1st, in the Skowhegan Hospital, Skowhegan, ME, from injuries sustained while white water rafting. He leaves his mother, Mary M. Deorsey of Southbridge; his father, Ralph J. Jolin, Sr., of Southbridge; his fiance, Amanda L. Mercier with whom he lived; his sister, Ashley M. Deorsey of Southbridge; his grandfather, Camille Jolin of Southbridge; five uncles, Casey Jolin, Camille Jolin, Jr., Raymond Deorsey, Alexander Deorsey, and Eli Deorsey; and his aunt, Bernadette Pollone. He was born in Worcester. He was a graduate of Southbridge High School and was a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston receiving his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. He was the recipient of many awards for academic and work related achievements. Ralph was a Project Manager for Cutler Associates in Worcester where he was a valued employee for over 8 years. He enjoyed cars and demolition derbies. He had a great love for animals, especially cats, and donated to various charities for animals. He was an avid basketball player and was the very dedicated Captain of the Hillside Basketball team in Southbridge. Ralph always encouraged his family and his friends to be the best that they can be. He was loved and will be remembered by everyone who knew him. The funeral will be held on Thursday Oct. 6th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Della M. Amiot, 84 , of Crookston, Minnesota, died early Saturday morning, October 1, 2005 in the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston. Della was born on December 11, 1920, in Terrebonne, Minnesota, the daughter of Rodrique and Angelina (Fournier) Jolly. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic School in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota. On July 12, 1937, Della was united in marriage to David Amiot in Red Lake Falls. The couple made their home near Gentilly, Minnesota where they farmed for many years. Together with their family, Della and David moved to Red Lake Falls in 1974. She was a hard worker and spent several seasons working in Manvel, North Dakota during the potato harvest and later worked for Wilcox in Red Lake Falls. Sadly, David passed away on February 7, 1994. Della moved to Crookston the following year. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, flowers, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. Della was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception parish, belonged to the Ladies of St. Ann's, was a Lady Forester and also belonged to Eagles Aerie #873 Auxiliary. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by everyone that knew her. Loving family members include three daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Elden Iversen of Fergus Falls, MN, Caroline and Michael Dufault of Gentilly, MN, and Marlene and Larry Odegaard of Kennesaw, GA; a son, Craig Amiot and his fianc¨, Elizabeth Washington, of Grand Forks, ND; her special friend, Butch Cardinal of Crookston, MN; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Rita Amiot of Crookston, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Della was preceded in death by her husband, David; a son, Andrew; a great-grandson, Alexander Ortloff; two brothers, Bill and Herb Jolly; and five sisters, Rose, Becky, Eva, Blanche and Agnes. The funeral service for Della Amiot will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Visitation will be on Monday at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home from 5-7:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service, and also for an hour before the funeral at the church. COUSINEAU - Jean M. Rio, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2005, in her home in Pasadena, surrounded by her family. Most recently, they made their home in Wrightwood, CA and Kona, Hawaii. Jean had a special way of decorating the lives of anyone she touched, and enriching the lives of all who knew her. LEWISTON - Raymond L. Chouinard, 68, of 123 Spring St., died Friday, Sept. 30, at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side, after a five-year battle with cancer.He was born in St. Theophile, Quebec, to Joseph and Clementine (Loubier) Chouinard.On July 08, 1961, he married Estelle F. Boucher at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston.He owned and operated his own trucking business. After retiring from trucking, he worked at Miller Industries. He was a member of the New Auburn Social Club and his interests were fishing, antique cars and NASCAR. He loved spending time with his family at his camp in North New Portland.He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Estelle; daughters, Louise Giguere and husband, William, of Auburn, Nancy M. Chouinard and companion, John-Paul LeBlanc, of Lewiston, Julie Bergeron and husband, Marcel, of Monmouth, and Diane Chouinard of Sabattus; grandchildren, Angie, Raymond, Shawn, Sonia, Krystal, Kyle and Dustin; great-granddaughter, Mikayla; sister, Lauretta Chouinard and sister-in-law, Juliette Chouinard, both of Canada; and several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Adrianne and Jeannie; brother, Eugene; and brother-in-law, Magloire.A special thanks from the family goes out to Dr. Erickson and her staff, and also to the MI unit at Central Maine Medical Center.

Mrs. Geneva K. (McCollor) LaMountain, 85, formerly of Bernon Street, Woonsocket, died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Elwood “Al” LaMountain. Born May 11, 1920, in Bingham, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Jennie (Healy) McColler. Mrs. LaMountain had lived in Woonsocket since 1942. Mrs. LaMountain retired from A.T. Cross, Lincoln, in 1985 after working there for fifteen years. Previously, she had been employed by Uniroyal, in Woonsocket. She had been very active in St. Agatha’s Church, where she had been a communicant, serving on the Finance Committee and the 50th Anniversary Committee. She had volunteered for over seventeen years for the Visiting Nurse Service of Greater Rhode Island, and for the former Woonsocket Hospital for several years. She was the sister of the late Merle McCollor and the late Reta Holt. (Lynch) McSoley, Jr. She was born in Providence and lived in East Providence most of her life. She worked as a receptionist at Puritan Life Insurance Co. and also as a cashier at the former Asquino's Restaurant. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.One son, Robert Rivard, EPFD (Retired), of Foster, R.I., survives her; one sister, Janice Cahill of Mansfield, MA; two grandchildren, Maryanne and Gregory T. Rivard; a great-grandson, Andrew J. BEAUMONT, TX -- Charlotte Ranger Capallo Main, 81, died unexpectedly September 23, 2005 in Texas. She has been living in Beaumont, Texas for the last eight years.She was born on March 30, 1924 to the late Gerard and Lottie (Pitcher) Ranger, Sr.She graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1942. She had many different interests and worked in jobs that showed this. She worked as a switchboard operator at the Norwich State Hospital and as a Social Worker for the State of Connecticut. She taught at Griswold and Jewett City schools. She worked as a telephone operator for many years, retiring from SNET. She was also a lifetime member of the Eastern Star.She was married to James Capallo on December 14, 1946. She later married Charles Main on November 21, 1958. She was predeceased by both husbands.Charlotte is survived by her children; Joan (Capallo) Tomes of Norwich, Robert Capallo of Norwich, Jeanne (Capallo) Silliman of Baltic, Connie MainThompson and her husband John of Beaumont, Texas, George Main and his wife Melanie of Canterbury and Heather Nye and her husband David of Preston. Thibaudeau, 86, a longtime resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell, who worked at a dental office in the city for more than three decades, died Saturday, Oct. 1, at D'Youville Senior Care, following a brief illness.She was born in Lowell, Jan 2. 1919, daughter of the late Armand and Medora (Carrier) Thibaudeau. She attended Lowell schools, and graduated from St. Joseph's High School and Forsythe Dental School in Boston.Before retiring, Miss Thibaudeau was an instructor of dental assisting at Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School. Previously, she was a dental hygienist for Dr. Raymond Gendreau, in Lowell, for more than 35 years.She was a member of the Mass.
