PEARCE, Dr. Edward Harry Director of Development, Queen's University Unexpectedly on Monday, October 3, 2005 at the Kingston General Hospital with his family by his side. After 60 years of unconditional love and kindness, our hearts ache to announce the passing of a true gentleman and man of faith. Ed was the lifelong sweetheart to his wife Beverly. His children Heather and Curtis Jackson, Bethany and Mark Rouble, and Bramwell and Anita Pearce will forever cherish and love him. Allison Joy prede ceased him in 1976. Ashley, Katelyn and Andrew will miss their papa and will have many great memories in the backyard playhouse that Ed built for them. Edward had a passion for his career, his church and his community. LEWISTON - Raymond L. Chouinard, 68, of 123 Spring St., died Friday, Sept. 30, at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side, after a five-year battle with cancer.He was born in St. Theophile, Quebec, to Joseph and Clementine (Loubier) Chouinard.On July 08, 1961, he married Estelle F. Boucher at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston.He owned and operated his own trucking business. After retiring from trucking, he worked at Miller Industries. He was a member of the New Auburn Social Club and his interests were fishing, antique cars and NASCAR. He loved spending time with his family at his camp in North New Portland.He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Estelle; daughters, Louise Giguere and husband, William, of Auburn, Nancy M. Chouinard and companion, John-Paul LeBlanc, of Lewiston, Julie Bergeron and husband, Marcel, of Monmouth, and Diane Chouinard of Sabattus; grandchildren, Angie, Raymond, Shawn, Sonia, Krystal, Kyle and Dustin; great-granddaughter, Mikayla; sister, Lauretta Chouinard and sister-in-law, Juliette Chouinard, both of Canada; and several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Adrianne and Jeannie; brother, Eugene; and brother-in-law, Magloire.A special thanks from the family goes out to Dr. Erickson and her staff, and also to the MI unit at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was the wife of William Labossier.She was born in Cambridge, Feb. 20, 1941, daughter of the late Cornelius J. and Agnes E. (Gallagher) Harrington. She resided in Billerica for the past 40 years. Marjorie (McCann) Bergeron, 83, of Plainville died Sunday (October 2, 2005). She was the wife of the late Albert Bergeron. Born Dec. 31, 1922 to Herbert and Bessie (Shellington) McCann, she lived in Plainville most of her life. Marjorie was a member of United Methodist Church, Plainville. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She was a lover of birds and animals and fed the squirrels and birds in her backyard every day for over 40 years. Her love of animals was shown through the regular contributions to the Connecticut Humane Society, which was her favorite charity. She leaves a bother Gordon Granger McCann also of Plainville and three daughters Carol Kaine and Barbara Fitzmaurice of Plainville and Beverly Brazee and her husband Wayne of Tacoma, WA. She leaves four granddaughters Susan Clark of Midland, NE, Donna Carney of Plainville, Kimberly Hyman of New York City, NY, Heather Barry of Boston and one grandson Kenneth Enha of East Hartford. Mrs. Geneva K. (McCollor) LaMountain, 85, formerly of Bernon Street, Woonsocket, died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Elwood “Al” LaMountain. Born May 11, 1920, in Bingham, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Jennie (Healy) McColler. Mrs. LaMountain had lived in Woonsocket since 1942. Mrs. LaMountain retired from A.T. Cross, Lincoln, in 1985 after working there for fifteen years. Previously, she had been employed by Uniroyal, in Woonsocket. She had been very active in St. Agatha’s Church, where she had been a communicant, serving on the Finance Committee and the 50th Anniversary Committee. She had volunteered for over seventeen years for the Visiting Nurse Service of Greater Rhode Island, and for the former Woonsocket Hospital for several years. She had also served on the Board of Directors of the Father Marot CYO Center, Woonsocket, for twenty years. Mrs. LaMountain is survived by three sons, Michael V. LaMountain of North Providence, RI, Eric D. LaMountain of West Warwick, RI, and Mark E. LaMountain of Worcester, Ma. She had one granddaughter, Danielle LaMountain. She was the sister of the late Merle McCollor and the late Reta Holt. Funeral services are Thursday, at 9:00 am from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in St. Agatha’s Church, Joffre Street, Woonsocket. SORENSEN, Oda Dagny (nee Larsen) In loving memory of Oda Dagny Sorensen (nee Larsen), 80 years who passed away September 30th, 2005 surrounded by her loving family. Born March 25, 1925 in Soro, Denmark, Oda came to Canada in 1951 with her husband William and her son Mogens. She will be greatly missed by children; Mogens Sorensen (Penny), Janie Wright (Sam), Alan Sorensen, Alex Sorensen (Rita), grandchildren; Wade Sorensen, Janet Beauchamp, Kelly Bozic, Lesley Bozic, Erica Sorensen, Andrew Sorensen, Shawn Dixon and Keenan Wilson, great grandchildren; Kaitlyn Bozic, Matthew Bozic, Gwendolyn Beauchamp and Ryan Bozic. Oda is survived by brothers; Henry Larsen (Sonja) and Bent Larsen (Kirsten), sister; Anna (Svend Aage), brother-in-law; Andreas Sorensen, sister-in-law; Inger Sorensen, many nieces and nephews in Denmark as well as her caring friend Brigit Saunders of Sudbury. She was predeceased by her parents; Hedvig and Otto Larsen, sister Ingrid, sister-in-law Else Sorensen and brother-in-law Valter Sorensen. Oda was a nursery school teacher in Denmark and chose to be a stay-at-home mother in Canada until her children were raised. She had an impressive talent for sewing, knitting, crocheting and hobbies that involved her grandchildren. She gave unconditional love and support to all who knew her. LEWISTON - Constance "Connie" G. Picard, 74, of 45 Rideout Ave., Lewiston, went home to her maker on Friday, Sept. 30, after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed away at her home, surrounded by family.Born in Lewiston on Sept. 7, 1931, she was the daughter of George and Imelda Gagne Bosse. Educated in Lewiston schools, she worked for many years in the local shoe industry and retired from Bates College.On Oct. 26, 1957, she was married to Paul R. Picard.Her greatest pleasure in life was being with her family, especially her grandchildren, and watching her beloved Red Sox.She leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Paul R. Picard; her children, David and his wife, Priscilla, of New Hampton, N.H., Lisa and her husband, Pat Rines, of Leeds, Debbie and her husband, Alton "Butch" Polley, of Greene; Brian Picard of Lewiston, seven grandchildren, Patrick and Jason Rines of Leeds, Jacob, Emma and Justin Polley of Greene, Jennifer and George Kalioris of New Hampton, N.H.; and in-laws, Don and Kathy Picard of Glastonbury, Conn., Oscar Picard of Wells, and Doris Picard of Lewiston.She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.She was a kind and loving person who will be missed by all, but we know that she is now in a better place.

BLONDEAU, Gérard J. 1930 - 2005 À Montréal, le jeudi 29 septembre 2005, est décédé Gérard J. Blondeau, à l'âge de 75 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil sa tendre épouse depuis 51 ans, Paulette Tourville, de même que leurs quatre enfants, Marc (Manon Lépine), Christiane (Jean Bonneville), Ginette (Joseph Sami Aura) et Luc (Liette Savard). Il manquera à tous ses petits-enfants, Magalie, Eugénie, Marlène, Laurence, Daniel, Sabrina, Catherine, Marianne et Philippe, de même qu'à sa soeur, ses frères, belles-soeurs, beaux-frères, neveux, nièces et amis. Né à Trois-Rivières, il est l'aîné des six enfants de Jeanne Hamel et Ernest Blondeau (Gisèle, Jean-Claude, Marcel, Maurice, et Bernard - décédé). Il fait ses études à l'Académie De La Salle puis fréquente l'Université Laval où il obtient une maîtrise de la Faculté de commerce en 1953. Au cours de sa carrière, il tient des rôles importants dont celui de secrétaire de la Caisse de dépôt et placements du Québec à sa création en 1966 et de président de l'Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec de 1968 à 1970. Mais sa réalisation la plus chère aura été de fonder une famille unie et aimante, à qui il a transmis sa grande culture, son ouverture aux autres, son amour de la langue française et son sens de l'humour. On se souviendra aussi de Gérard J. Blondeau comme un être d'exception au plan des relations humaines. Sa générosité, sa gentillesse et l'intérêt qu'il portait à chacun manqueront à tous et à toutes. BIDDEFORD -- Norman O. Racine, 82, of Biddeford, a former State Representative, died Saturday morning, Oct. 1, 2005 at his home. He served in the Maine House of Representative from 1981 to 1988 on the Business and Commerce and the Audit and Program Review Committees. During World War II he enlisted in the Army and served in Europe. He was later commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in 1945 and retired as a Major in 1965. He was awarded a Bronze Star and Purple Heart during the Korean War as a result of action at the Pusan Perimeter along with other decorations. Visiting hours will be on Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford.
