La famille accueillera les parents et ami(e)s à la Résidence Funéraire du Saguenay 2555, St-Dominique Jonquière le lundi 12 septembre 2005 à compter de 8 h 30. Les funérailles auront lieu le lundi 12 septembre 2005 à 10 h à l’église St-Dominique. Les cendres seront déposées au cimetière Shipshaw. Outre son époux M. Gérard Lévesque, elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Stéphane (Stéphanie), Marie-Josée; ses petits-enfants: Alexandre, Catherine et Christophe. CLOUTIER, Roger Elliot After a courageous battle with adrenal cancer, on Friday, September 9, 2005 at The Hospice at May Court, Dad leaves us to be with his precious wife Norma Howard. His laughter, smile and sense of humour enriched the lives of his family and friends. He was always a family man first, and was happiest surrounded by all of us. We are left with wonderful memories to help heal our tremendous loss. Thank you Dad! You will be forever missed by your daughters, Janet (Dennis Gobey), Carol (Dan Laviolette), Sheelagh (Dave Thibault), and Christine Carroll. He was the very proud Poppa to his 9 adoring grandchildren, Melissa, Ryan, Emily, Matt, Shannon, Krista, Brent, Mandy and Cory. He leaves behind his sister Peggy (Jack Walsh), and his brother-in-law and best friend Gary Howard. BANGOR - Dona J. Bernard, 94, formerly of Lincoln Avenue, Rumford, died peacefully Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at his daughter's home in Bangor. He was born Feb. 10, 1911, in Cocayne, New Brunswick, Canada, a son of Joseph and Rose (Richard) Bernard. Dona attended St. John's School in Rumford. He was employed for seven years with International Paper Company and 38 years with Oxford and Ethyl Paper Company in Rumford, and was a member of their 25 and 40 year clubs. Dona was a communicant of St. Athanasius and St. John Catholic Church, Rumford, and St. John's Catholic Church in Bangor. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He is survived by a daughter, Pauline LeFebvre and her husband, John, of Bangor; two sons, James Bernard and wife, Donna, of Andover, and William Bernard and wife, Betty, of Farmington; a sister, Mary DeRoche of Foxboro, Mass.; a brother, Frank Bernard and wife, Jeanette, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 67 years, Odila "June" (Bourgeois) Bernard; two sisters, Millie Girard and Dot Finethy; two brothers, Arthur and Edward Bernard. STERLING— Laura A. (Berthiaume) Rebidue, 94, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2005, in the Sterling Healthcare Center. Her husband of 45 years, Cyril A. Rebidue died in 1976. Laura was the loving mother of four children, Richard D. and his wife Carol T. Rebidue of Pine Mountain, GA, and James S. and his wife Nancy J. Rebidue of Sturbridge; Carol A. and her husband Ronald N. Hoyle of Green Bay, WI; a son, Barry Paul, predeceased her in 1954; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Laura knitted afghans for many years and stopped knitting a few years ago when every family member had received one. Lester R. Duplessie Sr. died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, in Jasper, Texas, with his children at his bedside. He was 90, a resident of Frost and a native of Acy. During World War II he worked as a certified burner at the Delta Shipyard in New Orleans. In 1952, he joined Operating Engineers Local 406, where he spent the rest of his career operating heavy equipment. Larry Gagnon, 85, of Ocala, FL., died Thursday,(September 8, 2005) at Timberidge Rehab. Center after a brief illness. He was the widower of Lucy A. Gagnon who died December 1994. Larry was born in Hartford, and was the son of the late Harvey and Violet Gagnon. He was a resident of Avon, for 23 years before moving to Ocala, FL. Educated in local schools, he was employed by the City of Hartford's Police Department for 20 years retiring 18 years ago. Larry was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army who served during World War II. He is survived by a son, Lawrence Gagnon and his wife, Pamela Gagnon of Farmington; a brother, Donald Gagnon of Killingworth; a grandson, Brian Gagnon of Boston, MA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was an avid horseman and trainer and continued to live out his passion for keeping active up until two months ago when he sold his last horse. Gagnon loved training horses and performed at many fairs, rodeos and horse shows- too many to count. He also performed many other acts including trick roping, sharp shooting, whip acts, and trick riding. His passion for horses started at an early age and continued all his life. Larry was also a Blacksmith and did all his own horseshoeing and hoof care including breaking the horse to shoe. Gallant & Sons Contractors and an independent long haul truck driver.He was an avid reader of war books.Surviving is his wife, Virginia A. Haney Gallant of Scarborough; four daughters, Jennifer Corey and her husband, Tim of Littleton, N.H., Shannon Jackman of Littleton, N.H., Charlene Jackman of Bethlehem, N.H., and Cheryl Buntjer and her husband, Brett of Standish; two sons, Joseph H. BARNSTABLE -- Dorothy A. (LaFleur) Chevalier, 89, of Hyannis, formerly of New Bedford, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at the Essex Pavillion in Hyannis. She was the widow of Louis C. Chevalier. Born in Acushnet, she spent most of her life in New Bedford and Fairhaven before moving to the Cape in 1975. Mrs. Chevalier was a devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include three sons, Robert Chevalier of Florida, Louis Chevalier of Cotuit and Ronald Chevalier of Centerville; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. SCARBOROUGH - Phoebe A. Maguire, 83, of Nelson Road, died Sept. 9, 2005 at Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough. She was born in Portland, a daughter of Frank J. and Catherine I. Beaton Landry. She was one of 13 children in which only two survived to adulthood. She attended St. Dominic's and graduated from Cathedral School. She worked for a time at the historic H.H. Hays Drug Store in Congress Square and at Mary & Bob's Restaurant on Route One, which was a favorite stop for people heading to Scarborough Downs. She worked for many years in the better dresses department of Porteous, Mitchell and Braun before coming up with the idea for the doll house during one Christmas season. The doll house proved to successful that it was kept open all year long thereafter. After Porteous closed, she began working at the Portland Credit Bureau until her retirement.She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and enjoyed outings with them at Rangley Lake. She also enjoyed flowers and took great pride in her beautiful flower gardens. She also enjoyed golfing, dancing and fishing in Rangley Lake. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in South Portland and a member of the American Legion, the Emblem Club of Portland and Cursiesta. She was predeceased by her husband, Laurence F. Maguire and a son, James. She is survived by two sons, Mark of Standish and Bruce of Arizona; a daughter, Carol Ann Doherty of Alaska; a sister, Theresa Grassi of Portland; also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Church in South Portland. A private burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. DOVER — Elizabeth Ruth "Liz" Lapoint, 53, of 96 Rutland St., died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at her home.Born in Manchester on April 24, 1952, she was the daughter of Philip S. and Elizabeth C. She treasured most the simple things in life; time spent with family and friends at Winterfests, blueberry picking, swimming in the ocean and practicing yoga.She was a communicant of St. Joseph church.She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth E. David LeClaire born on Jan. 31, 1948 in San Antonio went to be with the Lord on Sept. 8, 2005 in San Antonio. He was a person who put others needs before his own. He was an Officer in the Diabetes Support Group. His passion was buying and selling antiques and collectables. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph LeClaire. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Eleanor LeClaire; his brother James Woller and wife Karen Steele Woller; their children, Kimberly Woller, Jennifer Woller and Jason Woller; sister, Judy Thomas and husband Lee and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Gordon Peter Mineau Sr. of Hartford, passed away on Friday, Sept. 9, 2005 at the Samaritan Home in West Bend. He was 87 years old.He was born August 8, 1918 in Oconto Falls to Peter and Mary (nee Perkins) Mineau. Gordon married Florence Baylis on May 23, 1942 at Zablocki Medical Center VA Chapel. Gordon served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII stationed in the Hawaiian Islands. He loved music. Gordon played banjo and some guitar but loved the banjo. He played with the Frankie Yankovic Band for several years touring all around the United States. He also played in local polka bands. He studied his craft at the Milwaukee Conservatory of Music.He is survived by his loving companion, Judy Behlen; 3 sons, Gordon Jr. of Bay View, John (Dawn) of West Bend and Scott of Hartford; a daughter, Linda of Saukville; 4 grandchildren, Heather, Nicole, Carris and Adrian. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Florence in 1992, 5 sisters and a brother.Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Kilian's Catholic Church with Fr. Mike Petrie officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the church only.

WATERVILLE -- Mary Constance Emerson, 81, died peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at Augusta Rehabilitation Center in Augusta.She was born in Winslow on April 10, 1924, the daughter of Alphonse and Emily Poulin.She was educated in Winslow schools, and was formerly employed as a waitress at the Jefferson Hotel for 20 years and also at several other restaurants in the Waterville-Winslow area. She enjoyed people and cooking and playing cribbage. She was especially known for her tourtiere pies. She was also a member of the Bourque-Lanigan Post 5 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.She was the widow of Gerald A. Emerson, who passed away on April 4, 2001. She is survived by her five children, Scott A. Dorothy 'Dottie' (Tribbitt) Robillard died Tuesday Sept. 6, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a short battle with cancer. She was born on Jan. 31, 1928 in Delaware to John and Helen Tribbitt.
