O'REILLY (Nowasad), Pauline (nee Thibeault) Passed away suddenly in Ottawa on August 13, 2005 surrounded by her family. Predeceased by husbands, Vincent O'Reilly and Matt Nowasad. ETHIER, Jeannette (nee Massicotte) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeannette Ethier at the Blind River District Health Centre on Friday, August 13, 2005 at the age of 87. Dear wife of the late Madelger Ethier. Dear mother of Rita Tardif (Andre) of Lake City, Florida, Moise Ethier (Jacqueline, the late Anna) of Chelmsford, Alexis Ethier (Marie) of Blind River, Julien Ethier (Judy) of Elliot Lake, Cecile Ethier (partner Ike) of Espanola, Etienne Ethier (Valerie) of Ottawa, Michel Ethier (Micheline) of Blind River, the late Alice Charron (Louis) and the late Leonel Ethier (late Sandra) both of Blind River. Survived by 39 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Jeannette is predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters. Jeannette's joy was to have family gatherings, especially on New Years and picnics on July 1st. She was a lady with compassion, never complaining though suffering from arthritis. She was involved in the Parish Ladies Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens Club. She was always ready to help out and could see the good in other people. She loved to make quilts. She leaves behind a great legacy: family traditions, values, honest and love. WILTON - Hazel E. Duguay, 79, of Wilton, died late Friday evening, Aug. 12, at her home in Wilton.She was born, May 22, 1926, in North Chesterville, a daughter of Norris and Matilda (Hall) Coulling. She attended Wilton schools, graduating frowm Wilton Academy in 1945.On Oct. 12, 1946, she married, Frank Chapman. He died Dec. 6, 1966.She remarried Robert Duguay on May 29, 1970.She is survived by her loving husband, Robert, of Wilton; one son, Thomas L. PATRICIA D. LAROCK WATERBURY — Patricia D. LaRock, 70, of South Main Street, passed away in the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin on Friday, Aug. 12, 2005. Born in Barre on Dec. 6, 1934, she was the daughter of Leon and Bess (Hammett) Donahue. On Jan. 16, 1960, she married Donald L. LaRock in Waterbury. Pat was a 1952 graduate of Spaulding High School and continued her education at Vermont College. She began her career working in the laboratory at the former Heaton Hospital in Montpelier and later was employed at the Vermont State Hospital where she worked initially in the lab and most recently in the Research and Statistics Division from which she retired. An active participant in all of her endeavors, Pat was a cherished board member of the Central Vermont Association for Retarded Citizens for 35 years where she served in every office; was a 20year member of the Guardianship Trust; was a faithful member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas — Court Saint Theresa, both in Waterbury; the Waterbury Village Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary; RSVP; the Waterbury Area Senior Citizens; the Red Hat Roamers of Waterbury; as well as a volunteer for Special Olympics. Pat had been a member of the former Waterbury Woman's Club also. Her leisure time was spent enjoying knitting, traveling, playing cards and Bingo. Family has been at the core of Pat's life. She was the happiest and most fulfilled when she was surrounded with the love and company that her husband, children and grandchildren shared with her. Patricia is survived by her husband of 45 years, Donald L. LaRock; their son, Michael LaRock and his wife, Diane, and their children, Matthew, Stephen, Christopher and Tyler, all of Waterbury; as well as many nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by a son, Donald Patrick “Pat“ LaRock; a sister, Ann Izor; and two brothers, Robert and William Donahue. LEWISTON - Luanne D. Gagnon, 41, of Auburn, died on Saturday, Aug. 13, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.Luanne was born on Oct. 24, 1963, in Lewiston, the daughter of Reginald J. Sr. and Blanche (Collet) Gagnon. Luanne graduated from Lewiston High School in 1982.She loved baking, and had a beautiful singing voice. Beatrice J. (Goyette) Foley, of Mitchell Drive, Fall River, died Thursday, August 11, 2005 at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Anslem B. Foley, who died in 1979. Born on Nov. 12, 1923, in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Doris Goyette. She was a lifelong resident of the city.Mrs. Foley was a homemaker. She was a member of the Third Baptist Church in Fall River for many years. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at the church. Mrs. Foley was dedicated to her family and cherished the times she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Survivors include two sons, Russell Foley, of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Robert Foley, of Ledyard, CT, and a daughter, Jean C. Barboza, of Fall River. She was the mother of the late Brian Foley and the late Christine Foley. Thomas J. Guerin, 88, of 24 Rheimes St., Berlin, passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005 at the Weeks Medical Center. Mr. Guerin was born Dec. 2, 1916 in Cascade. He was the son of Jean Baptiste and Marie Rosianne (LaCombe) Guerin. He served in the United States Army during World War II and he was a POW for 21 months. Mr. Guerin was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2520 and Disabled American Veterans. He was a crane operator at the Brown Company for 25 years, retiring in 1966. He is survived by: his wife of 48 years, Theresa C. (Hamel) Guerin; one son, Ronald T. and his wife Elizabeth A., of Colebrook; two daughters, Sharon Lefebvre and her husband Raymond, of Berlin, and Jeanne Eafrati and her husband Louie, of Shelburne; six grandchildren, Kimberly Ann and Sara Rae Lefebvre, Brenda Tibbetts, Lisa and Steven Bourassa and Troy Eafrati; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Guerin was predeceased by 19 siblings, of which he was the 18th. A Mass of Christian Burial with military honors will be held 11 a.m. today at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery in Gorham. WESTFIELD - Marguerite Anne Marie LaMarche, 48, who resided at 110 Franklin St. in Westfield, ascended into the journey of life eternal on Saturday August 13th, 2005. She was born in Springfield on February 25, 1957 in Springfield to Rene LaMarche and the late Helen M. (Dupuis) LaMarche. Marguerite had attended the Baraco Day Program in Agawam for many years, and recently retired from Baraco and was spending her retirement at her newly renovated home. Marguerite was a very special individual and touched many people in her life. She was very unique and made a lasting impression on all who met her. Marguerite was very sympathetic to others and was one of the best listeners. She was a great lover of yarn, magazines, flowers, balloons, anything pink, and mail. Marguerite always took great pride in how she looked and loved shopping for new pocketbooks, shoes and outfits. "Think Pink" was her favorite motto. She loved music, whether it was singing, dancing, or listening to the "oldies", Christmas music, or patriotic songs. Marguerite lived with four other women at her home and received services from The Association for Community Living. Beside her mother, she was predeceased by her two brothers, Gerard LaMarche and Rene LaMarche Jr. She is survived by her father, Rene LaMarche from West Springfield, and many favorite support people and friends who worked with her throughout the years both at Baraco and The Association For Community Living. The funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. from the Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, with the Liturgy of Christian Burial to be held at 10 a.m. at the St. Thomas the Apostle Church, West Springfield. Mrs. Lapointe worked with her husband for many years operating the family business, Lapointe Furniture and Appliances, Northbridge. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Parish where she was a member of the former Ladies of St. Anne Sodality and where she worked for many years on the Bingo, Parish Bazaar and Bereavement committees. She particularly enjoyed knitting and creating many Irish knit sweaters for family & friends. SABATTUS - Antonio R. Nadeau, 57, of Lucien Street in Sabattus, died Saturday, Aug. 13, at the home of his brother Raymond and his wife, Edna.He was born on March 26, 1948, in Lisbon, the son of Albert and Leonida Fontaine Nadeau. He grew up in the Lisbon area and was a lifelong resident of Lisbon and attended Lisbon schools.After school, he worked for several years at Knapp Shoe. He also worked for Maine Electronics. His most recent work was at St. Charles Church in Brunswick where he was the head custodian. He retired in 2004.He had been very active in church all his life, and in 1978 he became a Eucharistic Minister. He was known for his decorating of the churches for the holidays. He was also very fond of planting and tending to his flower gardens.He is remembered for devoting his life to taking care of his mother after his dad passed away in early life. He enjoyed his family, going out to eat after church with his special friend, Bert McIntosh. He also helped out those who were sick by bringing them Holy Communion until he became ill himself.He is survived by four sisters, Lorette Goulette, Terry and husband, Lee Strout, Cecile Boisvert, and Pauline and husband, Bill Pimard. He is also survived by five brothers, Roland Nadeau, Adrien and Laurette Nadeau, Leo and Pam Nadeau, Roger Nadeau, Raymond and Edna Nadeau. He also leaves behind his best friend, Paulette Carville, and good friend Betty Dwinal; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was predeceased by his father, Albert Nadeau Sr.; his mother, Leonida Nadeau; a sister, Muriel Nadeau; and a brother, Albert Nadeau Jr.

LOWELL -- Evelyn (Orcutt) Plante, 75, a Lowell resident and retired worker with the city's school system, died yesterday morning, Aug. 14, at D'Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell. She was the wife of Wilfred T. Plante, with whom she would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on Sept. 4.She was born in Lowell on Sept. 17, 1929, daughter of the late John and Marie (Richardson) Orcutt. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Lowell and attended the parish's grammar school. She graduated from Lowell High School.Before her retirement, she was a food-service associate for the Lowell School Department for many years. CHARLEY PRINCETON "BUDDY" REYNAUD, JR. born March 19, 1917 died peacefully August 13, 2005 surrounded by his family. He was 88 years old. He was a life-long Houstonian who worked for Hughes Tool Co. for 45 years. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he was preceded in death by his parents Mary & Charley Reynaud and, sister Mary Charlotte Jones. Dr. David G. Rousseau -- March 11, 1920 - August 13, 2005 -- NORWICH -- Dr. David G. Rousseau, beloved husband of Marie Jeanne Rousseau, passed away Saturday August 13, at the William W. Backus Hospital.Dr. Rousseau practiced medicine in Taftville for fiftythree years until he retired in 1998.The wellknown physician, who delivered more than 1,500 babies to families in Taftville and the surrounding area, was born in Grand Isle, Vermont on March 11, 1920, the son of Ruth and George Rousseau. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received his medical degree from the University of Vermont School of Medicine in 1944, where his maternal grandfather, Dr. Arthur C. McDowell, had been a member of the second graduating class in 1890.A member of the medical staff at Backus Hospital for more than a half century, Dr. Rousseau also served as medical director of four area convalescent homes. He was a long time member and president of the New London County Medical Society and Connecticut Academy of Family Physicians.In his spare time, Dr. Rousseau was a skilled cabinetmaker, an avid golfer and enjoyed opera music.In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, four daughters, grand children and great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. EUNICE M. PATNAUDE ST. ALBANS — Mrs. Eunice M. Patnaude, age 77, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, in Fletcher Allen Health Care with her loving family at her bedside. She was born in St. Albans, Nov. 28, 1927, daughter of the late Richard and Grace (Zweeres) Silk. An avid Red Sox fan, Eunice was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1 and honored with a lifetime membership. She was previously active with the 8 & 40, past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Unit 758, where she was honored with a lifetime membership, as well as being past senior regent of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 321, and was the chairperson of the Maple Festival Rada sales for the American Legion. She was a blood donor and a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She retired as supervisor of production after 40 years with the Fonda Container Corp., where she was active with the union and after retirement still was involved with the employee paper products sales. Sept. 4, 1976, she married Frank Patnaude. Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Gary and Kathy Marlow of Omaha, Neb., Pauline Hardy and Allen Bailey of St. Albans, Greg Marlow and Julie Greeno of Swanton, Ken and Heidi Patnaude of Milton; 11 stepchildren; 15 grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Betty and Robert Ives, Gertrude Clark, all of Swanton, Juanita Benoure of St. Albans, Grace Mack of Vergennes, Merton and Sally Silk of Woodbury, Alida Reynolds of Burlington, Frank's twin sister Francois Smith of Feeding Hills, Mass.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; and her brothers, Raleigh, Richard and Walter Silk; and stepson Philip Patnaude. Eunice's family wishes to express special thanks to the medical staff of Fletcher Allen Health Care and Franklin County Rehab Center. Your caring and compassion is appreciated. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home. There will be no public calling hours.
