Au Centre de santé de la région de Thetford, le 8 août 2005, est décédé à l'âge de 79 ans, M. ANDRÉ CÔTÉ, époux de Yolande Bilodeau. Il était le père de Madeleine, Judith, Jean-François. Il laisse ses petits-enfants: Charles et Julien Meunier, Francis Ste-Marie, son frère Patrick Trépanier, sa soeur Françoise Doyon, ses belles-soeurs et beaux-frères: Soeur Marguerite Bilodeau, Roland et Rachel Scherrer, Julienne Métras, Gilles Bilodeau ainsi que ses neveux et nièces. Une messe sera célébrée le mercredi 17 août 2005 à 11h15 à la Chapelle du Sanctuaire de Beauvoir (Sherbrooke). Parents et amis y sont invités. La famille remercie le personnel du Centre hospitalier de la région de L'Amiante pour les soins exceptionnels prodigués. Il était le père de Michèle Carrier (Jacques Latulippe), Robert Carrier et de Julie Carrier conjointe de Denis Cantin. Il était le grand-papa de 4 petite-fille et de 1 arrière-petit-fils. Il laisse également dans le deuil son amie Mme Cécile Jacques, ses frères et soeurs, beaux-frères et belles-soeurs des familles Carrier et Berberi ainsi que de nombreux autres parents et amis. Une liturgie de la parole sera célébrée vendredi le 12 août 2005 à 11h à la Résidence funéraire Gamache et Nadeau, 590, rue St-Alphonse Sud, Thetford. La famille a confié la direction des funérailles à la Maison Gamache et Nadeau, membre de la Corporation des thanatologues du Québec.

JACKSON, Margaret Maria 1915 - 2005 Mom passed away on August 10, 2005. Margaret was a loved wife of the late John Jackson for 59 years. She was a loving and proud mother and grandmother of Pauline, John and Kim Penny of New Zealand and John (Margie) Jackson and Sara (Blair) of Ottawa. Predeceased by her grandson Jake Jackson. Margaret's family would like to thank her wonderful friends who brought her so much happiness and comfort over the years. The CNIB was a great support to her for many years, thank you. MIESS, Florrie Philomena Theresa July 16, 1934 - August 10, 2005 Passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital at age 71, after a short battle with cancer. Florrie Miess beloved wife for 43 years of Douglas Miess. Loving mother of Patricia (Jeff Brinskelle) and Brian (Patsy Miess). Cherished nana to Heidi, Kylee, Erin, Aidan and Jacob of whom she was thinking of when she entered the hospital. Dear sister of Harry Rigby, Bill (Joan) Rigby, Kathleen (late Ben) Kaulback and the late Stephen (Theresa) Rigby. Sister-in-law of Ruth (George Thomson), Bobby (Lorna Miess), Margie (Joe Fitzpatrick) and the late Jean Mellinger and niece to Mae Rigby (Warren Comeau). Florrie will be remembered by her family, nieces, nephews and friends who knew her thoughtfulness, generosity and straight forward approach. The family offers their special thanks to the exceptional ICU medical staff of the Ottawa General Hospital for their kindness and wonderful care. MURPHY, Jean Frances nee Graff, RN B Sc. N Peacefully on Wednesday, August 10th, 2005 in her 91st year at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, youngest child of the late Inez Cannon and Frank Graff. Wife of the late Maurice J. Murphy. She will be deeply missed by her step-daughters Barbara Murphy and Eleanor Murphy to whom she was a devoted mother for the last 40 years, her nephew Brian Graff and wife Dee, grand-niece Laura Richard (Tony) and their children Joel and Evie, grand-nephew Gordon Graff (Tara) and their children Emma, Julia and Jack. Survived by her sister-in-law Alexina Graff, cousin Nona Hodge and nieces Valerie Butterfield and Linda Graff Kapuscinki. She is predeceased by her close sister Margaret Graff and brother Ray. At age 20 Jean left the family home in Cochrane, Ontario to take her nursing training at the Ottawa General Hospital, later graduated with a B. Sc. N from the University of Ottawa. She was witty and current in her thinking and a valued friend and neighbour, someone to be reckoned with. She will be remembered particularly for her prodigious memory, fierce loyalty, determination, and soft heart. We sincerely thank the staff of the Peter D. Clarke Centre, many whom Jean considered friends, for their kindness and professionalism over the four years of her residency. Smith 1944 - 2005 RIVERVIEW, N.B. - Belva Genevieve Smith, wife of David Smith, Riverview, NB, passed away at The Moncton Hospital surrounded by her family on August 10, 2005 at the age of 61. Born in Riverside, NB on July 23, 1944, Belva was the daughter of the late Norman and the late Vivian (Huckins) Dornan. Belva will be so deeply missed by her childhood/high school sweetheart and husband of 41 years, David Smith and their three sons, Darrin (Carey) of Moncton, Craig (Wendy) of Ottawa, ON, and Todd (Paula) of Lower Coverdale; six grandchildren, Connor, Summer, Sierra, Erica, Peyton and Savannah. Belva will also be missed by her brother, Lawson Dornan (Sharon); and sister, Wanda Gillette (Brian); and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Belva was predeceased by a brother, Darrell. Belva worked at Shopper's Drug Store in Riverview for a number of years and was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces (Reserves) at Cold Lake, Alta; Eastern New Brunswick Militia District HQ and 37 Brigade HQ Moncton, NB before her retirement in 1999. The family will be meeting with relatives and friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9pm at the Albert County Funeral Home, Hopewell Cape. Gerald F. Marsh Gerald F. Marsh, 81, of Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, August 11, 2005. Born in Hildegarde, he was the son of the late Francis and Felicia Mae (Trites) Marsh. Gerald was self employed all his life, a welder by trade he operated Marsh's Welding Co. for many years along with a used auto parts business. In 1960 he started the first automobile carrier business in NB. In 1969 he opened Marsh's Mobile Home Park, which he managed until his retirement in 1988. After retirement he and his wife made clocks as a hobby, they traveled extensively with their crafts through the Maritimes and spent their winters in the south, making many friends along the way. Joseph A. St. Hilaire, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away Friday, (August 5, 2005) after a year long battle with heart disease. He was born April 8, 1925, the son of the late Emery and Antoinette St. Hilaire. Joe served his country in World War II in the Merchant Marines and saw active duty in the Mediterranean Middle East War Zone, Atlantic War Zone, and Pacific War Zone. He worked for Continetal Baking Co. for 23 years, and retired from Electrical Contractors, Inc. after 15 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Catherine (Santangelo) St. Hilaire; three daughters, Antoinette "Toni" St. Hilaire Bona and her husband Lou, Josephine "Josey" Longano St. Hilaire and Michelle St. Hilaire and her partner Eddie Cosme; three loving grandchildren, Danielle Longano and her husband Fernan DeLeon, Carleen Longano, and Joseph St. Hilaire Bona. Joe truly cherished our Sunday Dinners and Poker Games with his favorite, Deuces Wild, Jacks to Open, and Trips to Win. Dad always dealt himself a winning hand. WOW! CHICOPEE - Donald R. Picard, 81, of Chicopee, died on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was a retired thirty year postman at the Westover Air Force Base Sub-Station. Donald was born on February 16, 1924 in Chicopee and has been a life long resident. He was the son of the late Isadore and Florida (Deslaurier) Picard. He was a World War II Army veteran serving with Company A, of the 318th Infantry Regiment and received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a communicant of St. George Church and a member of the American Legion, Post 337 and the Disabled American Veterans in South Hadley. Donald was an avid fisherman and backyard tomato cultivator. He is predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Cook) Picard, who died in 1998. Donald is survived by three sons, Dennis D. Picard of Westfield, Barry L. Conway of Florida and Ronald F. Conway of Longmeadow; two daughters, Pamela J. Brown of Gaithersburg, MD and Denise C. Lindgren of Lexington; two brothers, Harold Picard of Chicopee and Francis Picard of Southwick; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was also an active member of the Fitchburg Rotary Club and a member of the past president’s club. She was a longtime member of St. Camillus de Lellis Church, Fitchburg.Mrs. Tanguay leaves her son, Robert H. Tanguay of Gloucester; her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Irelan of Groton; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Her husband, Harold Tanguay, died in 1989. Alvin "Mamou" Morvant, 75, of Port Arthur passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2005 with his loving family at his side. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 12, 2005 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Thursday at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. A Wake Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday with a Rosary to be recited at 7:45 P.M. at the funeral home. Alvin was born on August 15, 1929 in Elton, Louisiana but spent most of his life in Mamou, Louisiana until he was eighteen. He was the son of Theogene Morvant and Leola Dies Morvant. Mr. Morvant moved to Port Arthur in 1948 and worked at Gulf Oil Refinery for 35 1/2 years as a power plant engineer. Dorothy R. Gendreau, age 86, of Walhalla, ND, died on Tuesday, August 9, 2005, at the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla, ND. Dorothy R. Gamache was born March 20, 1919, at Olga, ND to Arthur and Hermindine (Beauchamp) Gamache. She grew up and attended school in the Olga area. On November 11, 1940, she married Ernest Gendreau at Olga, ND. After their marriage they farmed in the Poplar Grove area, near Walhalla. In 1980, they moved into Walhalla. Ernest Gendreau passed away on December 31, 1992. He lived in the Aldenville section of Chicopee for several years before moving to Chicopee Falls in 2001. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and attained the rank of Fireman. He was last employed in the maintenance department for the Whiting Farms Apartments in Holyoke. He was a communicant of Saint Rose de Lima Church in Aldenville. He played the guitar, the bass guitar and sang in various bands in the area. He was also a member of the Holyoke Turners. He leaves his loving children, Krista L. Robbins and her husband Kristian of the Fairview section of Chicopee, Erik A. Gadouas and his fiancée Tammy-Lynn Brayton of Aldenville and David J. Gadouas and his wife Beth of Chicopee. His three cherished grandchildren, Nathaniel Robbins, Kayla Gadouas and Isabella Gadouas. His dear sister, Diane Charmaine of Wells, ME. His dear former wife, Shirley J. (Duval) Gadouas of Aldenville and his two dear nephews. His relatives and friends are invited to attend his committal service with Military Honors on Friday afternoon, August 12, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street in Agawam. There are no visiting hours. His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, 13 Dale Street in Chicopee.
