HATT SR., ARNOLD REED - The death of Mr. Arnold Reed Hatt Sr.,of Utopia, NB, in his 92nd year devoted husband of 67 years to Isabella Lorena (McNichol) Hatt, occurred on Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, with his family at his side. Born in Lake Utopia, NB on July 6, 1913, he was a son of the late Wellington Edgar and Ethel Mae (Anderson) Hatt. Arnold was a well known, self- employed trucker for 75 years. He loved woodworking and was famous for his axe handles. Arnold loved to cook for his family and many friends, and could be seen down at the Nursing Home baking cookies and gingerbread. He was a loving family man who was known as "Papa" to all the area kids and adults who today still refer to him as such. He leaves to mourn his treasured children, Gertrude (George) Paul of Utopia, Betty Marshall of St. George, Patricia (Ronald) Roy of St. George, Jane (Brian) Ward of Utopia, and Dorothy (Jeffrey) Hanley of Utopia; Arnold "Arnie" (Frances) Hatt Jr. of Utopia, Dale (Connie) Hatt of Pennfield, Allan (Barbara) Hatt of Utopia, Colin (Edna) Hatt of Utopia, Kenneth (Madolyn) Hatt of Utopia, Brian (Jane) Hatt of St. George, and David (Beth) Hatt of St. George; brothers, Aubrey (Marjorie) Hatt of Pennfield, Sherman (Ellen) Hatt of St. George; sisters, Hilda Christie of Utopia, Alice (Alonzo) Hall of St. George, Marjorie (Malcolm) Moses of Blacks Harbour; 27 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Arnold was pre-deceased by three sisters, Pearl, Edith, Laura, a granddaughter Wendy, and a son-in-law Leo Marshall. Resting at the St. George Baptist Church from where the service will be held on Friday, July 1st, 2005 at 2 pm, with Rev. Bruce Alcorn officiating. Interment will take place in the St. George Rural Cemetery following the service. Visiting at the church on Thursday, June 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Arnold's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family. Byer: Annie 'Muriel' 1922 - 2005 Annie 'Muriel' Byer of Oliver passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2005 at the age of 83 years. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Morrin, AB. Muriel was born in Morrin, AB on April 20, 1922. Muriel and husband Floyd moved to Oliver in 1963 where Floyd had a plumbing business and Muriel worked various jobs including the Oliver Credit Union. She also spent many hours volunteering in the Oliver Thrift Shop. Muriel and Floyd also spent many winters in Arizona until Floyd?s health failed. Floyd predeceased her in 1994. She is survived by her loving family including her son Buzz (Heather), daughter Shelley (Rene) and grandchildren Jesse, Emily and Jonathan. Donations may be made to Alzheimers or the Cancer Society.

Anne Derry -- "God loaned Anne to us 58 years ago and now he wants her back". DERRY (nee Landry) - Mrs. Anne Derry, aged 58, of Ithaca and formerly of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at her home while in her husband's arms, following a brief and courageous journey with cancer. Just five weeks ago, Anne was leading a very active life. She and Dan were high school weethearts in Ithaca, but her parents moved to Rockford where Anne graduated in 1965; and shortly afterwards, she and Dan were married and moved back to Ithaca. With a special opportunity, Anne received a scholarship and became a LPN, and worked at Gratiot Community Hospital. Dan and Anne were blessed with two children, plus she worked at completing her education to become a RN. Providing health care was in her blood, and she enjoyed her work at Gratiot Community Hospital. Knitting, collecting red glass, and doing crafts were leisure activities that Anne enjoyed. Many of these became gifts to family and friends that will be cherished forever. She also enjoyed gardening and canning, giving the bounty to family and friends. Once the grandchildren arrived, both Anne and Dan were gifted at "spoiling and loving them." Anne was always busy and was an exceptional mother and grandmother. Dan was not only her husband, but best friend-they were often doing things together, such as, motorcycle riding, snowmobiling, flying, and spending time at their cottage which they shared with friends at Houghton Lake. She is survived by her husband, Dan; children, Kevin and Suzanne Derry and Laura and Matt Ahearn, all of Ithaca; grandchildren, John Derry, Jason Derry, and Megan Anne Ahearn; her mother, Mrs. Jeanette Landry Perry and her husband, Earl, of Rockford; her brothers and sister, William and Suzanne Landry of Sparta, Kathryn and Steve Malkewitz of Grand Rapids, Edgar and Christine Landry of Rockford; and Dan's brothers and sisters; many nieces and nephews; and many special friends of Gratiot County and Rockford. She was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy Landry, a sister-in-law, Jean Landry, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Audrey Derry. The Service for Anne will be Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at the Ithaca First Presbyterian Church, 218 E. Newark Street, Ithaca, MI, 48847. Interment in Lafayette Twp. KATHERINE DOROTHY BORDEAUX, 102, of Houston, TX, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2005.She was a long member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughters Dorothy Dickey, Katherine Bordeaux, and Leona Schob. She is also survived by her grandchildren Andrew Dickey, Daniel Dickey, William Dickey, Liza Lee Atanasoff, Don Schob, Tod Schob, and seven great grandchildren. Raymond P. Bonenfant, age 56, of Trumbull, the owner and operator of Leo's Auto Body of Norwalk, died on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at his residence with his family by his side. Born in Norwalk on May 13, 1949, he was a son of Theresa Paul Bonenfant of Norwalk, and the late Leandre Bonenfant. Mr. Bonenfant was a member of the Auto Body Association of Connecticut, the Southern Fairfield County Auto Body Association and the South Norwalk Boat Club. CHARETTE, HOLLY A., 21, of Marshall Circle, died Thursday, June 23, 2005 while conducting combat operations in Fallujah, Iraq. She was the fiance of Alex Rodriguez. Born in South Kingstown, RI, she was a daughter of Edward T. and Regina (Wheetman) Roberts. She had lived in Coventry most of her life. Holly was a 2001 graduate of Cranston East High School where she played four years on the field hockey team and was a cheerleader for the Varsity hockey team. She completed a half year of college at CCRI before entering the Marine Corps. Holly loved to dance and have fun and always made time for kids in her life. She expressed that she eventually wanted to become a child psychologist. Besides her parents and fiance, she leaves three brothers, Raymond A. Charette, Edward N. and Jared T. Roberts, all of Coventry, her grandparents, Anna Courtemanche, Cyril Wheetman and Lois and Gerry May. Holly is also survived by several aunts and uncles and many cousins who loved her very much. A committal service followed by Military Honors will be held Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter. Jeffrey A. (Pickle) Fortin, age 43, of Milford, beloved son of Rebina St. Marie Fortin of Milford, and the late Robert J. Fortin, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2005. Mr. Fortin was born in Milford on September 26, 1961, and was a lifelong Milford resident. He will be lovingly remembered, especially by his son, Bretten for sharing his his love of camping and the outdoors. COCOA, Fla. -- Harold G. Hachey, 86, of Cocoa, Fla., formerly of Charles Street, Fitchburg, Mass., died Saturday, June 25, in his daughter’s home after an illness. He was born on May 20, 1919, in Waterbury, Conn., the son of the late George and Christina (Gionet). Mr. Hachey served in the United States Army during World War II with the 203rd Combat Engineer Battalion. He was credited for five campaigns including, the D-Day assault landing on Omaha Beach, the Battle of the Bulge, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace and Central Europe. During his service he earned the Expert Badge (Carbine), the Army of Occupation Medal, the American Theater of Occupation, the Good Conduct Medal, the Victory Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon. He also earned the Engineer Patch known as the Seahorse Patch. Mr. Hachey was an engineer equipment repair inspector. He was a skilled cabinet maker. He enjoyed collecting coins and steins and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He also enjoyed outdoor gardening and his granddog Winston. He was a member of the American Legion Cleghorn Post No. 429, and the Elks Club in Florida. Mr. Hachey leaves his wife, Lorraine (Bilodeau) Hachey; two daughters, Patricia Schauer of Spring Valley, Calif. and Joyce A. Hachey of Lunenburg, Mass.; seven stepsons, Michael Hebert of Fitchburg, Thomas Hebert of Winchendon, Mass., Mark Hebert of Dracut, Mass., Robert Hebert, James Hebert, John Hebert and William Hebert, all of Leominster, Mass.; two stepdaughters, Deborah Keaveny of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Sharon Brazawski of Leominster; one brother, Romaine Hachey of Lakeland, Fla.; two sisters, Rosanna Credit of ND, and Theresa Kirkland of Ohio; six grandchildren, Dawn Mathieu of Fitchburg, Michelle Boucher of Lunenburg, Daniel Mathieu of Lunenburg, Steven Schauer and Brandon Schauer, both of California; 11 step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter. His first wife of 49 years, Rita M. (Hebert) Hachey, died in 1990. He was also predeceased by two daughters, Marilyn Amico and Betty Ann Cote in 1986 and 2004 respectively, and three sisters. Ida C. (Morency) Sullivan, 83, of Manchester, departed this life on Tuesday, (June 28, 2005) at Crestfield Convalescent Home. She was the widow of George F. Sullivan and the daughter of the late Leonce and Alice (Suprenant) Morency. She was born in New Bedford, MA on November 12, 1921 and lived in Manchester most of her life. She also lived briefly in Myrtle Beach, SC, Sierra Vista, AZ and most recently in Storrs. She enjoyed trips to the local casinos and loved to watch bowling on television. She leaves two daughters, Marcelle Ringbloom and her husband, Michael of Vernon, and Nancy Blimmel and her husband, John of Chelmsford, MA. She is survived by four grandchildren, Laura Rigazio and husband, Ron of Chelmsford, MA, John Blimmel and wife, Tracey of Aurora, CO, Kirk Ringbloom and wife, Jane of Enterprise, AL, and Erica Hindle and husband, Peter of Rocky Hill. Bob was born in Winooski, Jan. 8, 1932, the son of the late Hormidas and Alice (Brunelle) Rabidoux. He graduated from Winooski High School in 1950. He was married in St. Stephen Catholic Church in Winooski on May 30, 1955, to Jacqueline (Kirby) Rabidoux, and they recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Bob was employed for 25 years with the A & P Grocery Stores and most recently with the Capital Candy Co. He served his country for many years for the Vermont Army National Guard, was a member of the American Legion, Post 91, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. Bob enjoyed playing cards and woodworking, but most of all, he loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. CANKTON - Funeral services will be held time pending Friday, July 1, 2005, at a Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Ida Kilchrist, 88, the former Ida Simoneaux, who passed away at 12:38 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at Our Lady of the Oaks Nursing Home in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. Musical selections will be provided by Ron Moreau, accompanied by Phyllis Simar on the organ. The songs will be "J'Irai La Voir Un Jour", "The Poem", "The Old Rugged Cross", "Notre Pere" and "Be Not Afraid". Ms. Kilchrist was a native and resident of Cankton. She was a parishioner of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton. Ms. Kilchrist worked in the food service department with Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center and retired from Lafayette General Medical Center. Survivors include one son, Aubrey Joseph Kilchrist and his wife, Barbara, of Orange, Texas; five daughters, Eugenia K. Bearb and her husband, Russell, of Sunset, Dianna K. Lavergne, of Lawrenceville, Ga., Norma K. Forestier and her husband, Carol, Linda K. Savoie and Priscilla K. Gary, all of Scott; ten grandchildren, Vic Bearb, Sheila Southey, Connie Gautreaux, Jennifer Richard, Blake Gary, Monique Wiltz, Colette Meyers, Lance Lavergne, Daniel Himel and David Himel; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clabey Joseph Kilchrist; her parents, Eloi Simoneaux and the former Elia Leblanc, both natives of Cankton; one infant son, Preston Kilchrist; two grandchildren, Scott Lavergne and Samuel Kilchrist; one brother, Alex Simoneaux; two sisters, Eugenie Simoneaux and Marie S. Melancon; and one son-in-law, Harold Lavergne. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. this evening in the funeral home by Barbara Richard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.today and will continue from 8 a.m. Friday until service time. Pallbearers will be Vic Bearb, Eddie Bearb, Steve Kilchrist, Ricky Melancon, Jonathon Gautreaux and David Himel. LOUDON -- Deborah L. Vachon, 51, of Old Shaker Road, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association's Hospice House in Concord. She was born in Weymouth, Mass., the daughter of the late Lawrence and Loretta (Lynn) Woods and was a graduate of Concord High School class of 1972. Debbie was a stay-at-home mom until her two children had grown. She then began a career at the New Hampshire Department of Revenue, where she worked as an auditor for the last 15 years. Debbie was an avid crafter, quilter, golfer and snowmobiler. She enjoyed camping and spending time at Foxwoods and the ocean. She is survived by her husband, Steven Vachon; one daughter, Stacey Vachon of Concord; one son, Jay Vachon of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; and many friends and loved ones. Calling hours will be held todayfrom 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. Memorial services will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.
