OBITUARY ROBERT (BOB) RAYMOND JOSEPH SAUVE Suddenly at age seventy-one, in Ottawa, of complications during heart surgery. Loving husband of forty-six years and caregiver to his sweetheart Lois (nee Gallagher). Proud father of Anne Sauve (Tim Klassen), Susan Meyer (Milton), Richard and Paul Michael (Melissa Hegney) and beloved grampa to Hannah and Nathan Meyer. Born in Verdun, Quebec and raised in St-Henri, Bob was a graduate of Loyola High School and College, McGill University, and the University of Ottawa. He had a real thirst for learning, earning himself four different university degrees, including his Master in History at age fifty-six. Bob had a passion for education, history, politics, justice and religious issues, and prided himself on being what he called un juif manque. He was a self-proclaimed curmudgeon; a wine lover, golfer, political historian, and frequently published contributor to the Letter-to-the-Editor, and author of The Quebecois Elite Patriots or Scoundrels? Bob will be missed by friends, family, golfing buddies and his cronies with whom he loved to engage in lively discussion, and debate socio-political issues. The family wishes to thank the staff at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute who made Bob feel he was in the best possible hands. Thank you for the care you gave him and the attempt you made to give him a new lease on life. STRINI, Margaret (Maria), Peacefully passed away at the United Mennonite Home in Vineland on Tuesday, June 14, 2005, aged 85. Beloved mother of her only son Ivan Marinov, grandmother of Kalynka Cherkosh and recent great-grandmother of ThoraMay, whom she fondly called Clara. She is survived by her brother Alexander Gaal and many other relatives, most of whom live in Hungary. Margaret was born Maria Gaal in Cegled, Hungary and moved to Canada in 1950. She was a colourful member of many communitie s, from Zen Buddhist Centres through bingo halls to the Hungarian choir. Margaret was a deeply spiritual woman, attending many denominations throughout her life. She loved food and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed bingo, singing, reciting poetry an d will be fondly remembered as a passionate and exceptionally gifted gardener, her garden a haven to many. Margaret was a great cat-lover, with the ability to befriend the most timid of cats. She was always very independent, a great traveller, learni ng to drive at 55 years old. She will be very sadly missed by all her friends, family and neighbours. One did not have to know Margaret well to remember her colourful personality. The family would like to thank the Red Cross staff at Welland Hospital , the United Mennonite Home and the many neighbours who helped Margaret to live independently until very recently. OBITUARY TILLIE COHEN 1916 - 2005 Tillie Cohen of Calgary passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital on Monday, June 27, 2005 at the age of eighty-eight years. Tillie was born in Fort Francis, ON on August 17, 1916 and as a young girl moved to Montral with her family. There she met her future husband Harry and they married in 1938. Her son Robert was born not long after, followed by her daughter Susan (Ellen Sue). In the following years she welcomed her two grandsons, Adam and Seth, whom she loved dearly. Tillie was a caring, giving, generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother and community citizen. Tillie volunteered for the Red Cross in Canada during World War II and always kept giving back to others through her ongoing volunteer work in the community with Hadassah Bnai Brith (President) and ORT. We will always remember her soft strength, courageous pioneer spirit and selflessness, always putting others first. Tillie will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Cindy Cohen of Atlanta, GA; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Usher Barnoff of Calgary; grandsons, Adam Cohen of Atlanta, GA and Dr. Seth Cohen (Laura Jane) of Alexandria, VA; two brothers, Morris (Lucy) Miller and Ben (Sarah deceased) Miller; two sisters, Rose (Alec) Katz and Arlene (Ted) Wise; sister-in-law Norma Miller; as well as numerous nieces, nephews; and other family and friends. Tillie was predeceased by her husband Harry in August of 2003; parents Goldie and Isaac Miller; and brother Harry Miller. Keeseville — Theresa S. Manning, 79, of Hill Street, Keeseville, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at her home. She was born in AuSable Forks, May 21, 1926, the daughter of Nelson L. and Mabel (LaMountain) Blaise. Theresa was a member of the Peru Veterans of Foreign War Post 309 ladies auxiliary. She enjoyed crafts, tag sales, and instant lottery tickets. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Roger Manning Sr. and fiancé Patricia Smith of Keeseville, Nelson and Louise Manning of Titusville, Fla., and Timothy and Becky Manning of Middleburgh, Fla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Michael McDonough of Morrisonville; two sisters, Joan Doyle and Jane Fountain both of Keeseville; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Roger James Manning; two brothers, Lawrence and Sherman Blaise; and three sisters, Margaret Blaise, Leona Mousseau and Isabelle Fountain. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 2, 2005, at 10 a.m. at St. John's Church in Keeseville with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center in Plattsburgh. Arrangements are by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville.

Leo P. Cote, 83, of Windsor, died Thursday, (June 28, 2005), at his home. Born in Biddeford, ME, son of the late Leo A. and Rose Cote, he lived in Windsor for 40 years. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II as a radio operator and mechanic gunner on 757 aircraft in the Asiatic/ Pacific Theatre. He participated in the Saipan Air Offensive and battles of the East Mandated Islands and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross with an Oak leaf cluster, three battle stars, the Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters among other decorations. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Small Tool for 25 years as a tool designer and retired from Alden Tool of Berlin in 1990 after 23 years as a tool designer, engineer and consultant. He leaves his beloved wife, Mildred (Perkoski) Cote; two sons, Thomas P. Cote of Windsor and Steven J. and his wife, Corry Cote of Broad Brook; his son-in-law, Bruce Althen of Granby; and four grandchildren, Thomas P. Cote, Jr., Tracie Marie Cote, and Benjamin and Michelle Althen. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jane Cote Althen; and a brother, Louis Cote; and a sister, Rosehelen St. Amand. She was born February 13, 1983 in Ann Arbor, the daughter of Jacques LaRocque and Debra Klumpp LaRock. Jill graduated from Manchester High School, Class of 2001 and joined the U.S. Air Force in November of 2004. She was trained by the Air Force in Security Forces and was looking forward to a future in law enforcement and serving her country. Jill attended Tecumseh Church of the Nazarene. Jill is survived by her father, Jacques (Sue) LaRocque of Manchester; mother, Debra LaRock of Tecumseh; brother, Seth LaRocque of Manchester; sister, Emily LaRocque of Tecumseh; stepbrothers, Justin Tinkle, Joshua and Jordan Guest all of Manchester; paternal grandmother, Marilyn LaRock of Manchester; maternal grandparents, John and Shirley Klumpp of Saline; grandparents, Loren and Carole Hansen of Saline; and very special friends, Sid and Debbie Barrow. DUMAS, WENDY RAE, was born September 8, 1969, the daughter of Allen and Beverly Nebergall of Oldsmar, FL. She was married to Michael Dumas 13 1/2 years and had two sons, Michael, Jr. (12) and Matthew (4). She is also survived by a wide extended family. She taught elementary and middle school for 12 years including Pine Castle Christian in Orlando and Covenant Christian School in Winter Park. She influenced scores and scores of young people through her teaching. In her final days she said her favorite verse from Scripture "for as long as I can remember" was Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight." Her deep faith has been an inspiration and example to all who knew her. A funeral service will be held at Willow Creek Church on East Lake Drive in Winter Springs on Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 10AM, preceded by a one hour visitation at 9AM. Rita Theresa (Padula) Langevin, went home with the Lord to be with her beloved Jack on Wednesday (June 29, 2005) with her loving family at her side. She was the daughter of the late Vito Padula and Matilda Shea. She was born and raised in Hartford and in recent years lived in Newington. She was known for being kind and generous to her family and many friends. Rita worked at American Optical in Hartford where she met her beloved husband Jack, they were married for over 56 years. She also worked for the State of CT for over 20 years, the highlight of which she was Secretary at the state capitol becoming friends with Governors Abe Ribicoff and John Dempsey. Rita was a Medical Secretary at U'Conn Health Center. She always made time to be part time secretary at the Langevin Optical Company, a family owned business in Hartford for over 30 years. She was an active communicant of St. Justin's Church, Hartford. Rita was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" Langevin and her brother, James Padula. Rita leaves her sister, Rose Ste. Marie of Columbia; a son, John Langevin and his wife Mary Ann of Coventry; her grandchildren, Angela and Kevin Langevin; a son, Richard Langevin and his wife Tina the loving daughter-in-law and caregiver with whom she made her home. ROBERT J. ST. PETER -- BURLINGTON — Robert J. St. Peter, 90, of Burlington died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, in Fletcher Allen Health Care. He was born in Burlington, June 22, 1915, the son of the late Cyrus and Ida (Butler) St. Peter. He graduated from Burlington High School, Class of 1933. On Jan. 5, 1946, he was married to Theresa Frenette in St. Francis Xavier Church in Winooski. Robert worked for many years as a tool maker for General Electric. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles Club and the Elks, BPOE 916. He enjoyed dancing, golfing, bowling and the famous trips to Montreal. He is survived by his wife, Theresa St. Peter of Burlington; his children, Wayne St. Peter and his wife, Linda, of Colchester, Patricia Marra and her husband, Richard, of Burlington, and Kevin St. Peter and his wife, Jean, of Yuma, Ariz.; his grandchildren, Kyle, Matthew, Kelly, Kathy, and Bobby St. Peter; Tina Pretty and her husband, Walter, Todd and Sean Marra, and Wendy Garrapy and her husband, Bruce; and two great-grandchildren, Casey Garrapy and Kristina Pretty. Robert is also survived by his aunt, Georgianna of Burlington; a sister-inlaw, Jane Menard of New Hampshire; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Clarence St. Peter; his sister, Alma Guevin; and by a great-grandson, Richard Pretty. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 2, at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 47 Church Road, Colchester. There will be no visiting hours. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert's memory may be made to the Heineberg Senior Center, 14 Heineberg Road, Burlington, Vt. 05401.
