Loving father of Loretta (husband Earl McCormick) of Waterloo, Lucy (husband Scott McDonald) and Rita (husband Bill Young) both of Toronto and Maurice predeceased. Cherished grandfather of Graham, Cameron, Erika, Katie, and Emily. Dear son of Gaspare and Caterina Brun both predeceased. Dear brother of Mario predeceased. Born in Azzano Decimo, Italy, he was a life member of the Caruso Club. In younger days he was a member of the Caruso Band and the soccer team. He enjoyed cooking and gardening. Marion Dion , of Kapuskasing - Date of Death: March 22nd, 2005 - Marion Dion, 12 Park Cres., Kapuskasing, died at Sudbury Region Hospital St. Joseph Site on March 22, 2005. She was 69 years old. Mrs. Dion was born on Sept. 26, 1935 in Kapuskasing. She worked as a teacher’s assistant. She enjoyed knitting, cottaging, riding in the pontoon, computer classes and spending time with her grandchildren. As well she was a member of the Golden Browsers. Mrs. Dion was predeceased by her parents and one brother Robert Paterson. She is survived by her husband Raymond, son Robert (Jennifer) of Aurora, sister Barbara Morris of Kapuskasing and grandchildren Jack and Meghan Dion. Rev. Brenda Lumsden directed the funeral at Kapuskasing United Church. Mrs. Dion will be interred at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral director was the Guenette Funeral Home.

OBITUARY JOHN BUCHAK 1902-2005 It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of John Buchak on March 31, 2005. Predeceased by his beloved wife Yaroslava Hudyma; he leaves to mourn his loving daughter Roxanne (John) and his adoring grandchildren, Darrell and Keira (Christopher). John emigrated to Canada from the Ukraine in 1927. Skilled in many trades, he quickly adapted to his new country. He travelled to Nothern Ontario and enjoyed the challenges of logging. He then went to Saskatchewan to harvest wheat. However, Montreal kept beckoning him to come back. He returned, married and then became a restaurateur. This endeavour was short lived, for another challenge had to be adressed. Real estate was the answer; and he persued it with a passion. He built many homes in Montreal, from Ville LaSalle to the Town of Mount Royal to Ville D'Anjou. He retired at the age of seventy-nine, after he built a home that he would live in for 20 years. John Buchak was a man of morals, profound sincerity and a deep sense of pride which he demonstrated throughout his long and fruitful life. His love of family was first and foremost. We shall cherish all the wonderful memories that were his gift to us. Visitation at: On Sunday, April 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Panachyda at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Bellechasse and 10th Ave. on Monday, April 4 and thence to the Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery. FARMINGDALE -- Blanche Sally LeVasseur, 90, of Hallowell Litchfield Road, died unexpectedly at her home on March 31, 2005. She was born in Wilton on Dec. 30, 1914, the daughter of Martin and Josephine (Posteneski) Bilevich. Mrs. LeVasseur had attended Wilton schools and had been employed at Bates Manufacturing Co. Edwards Division for more than 33 years. She was previously employed at Bath Iron Works as a welder during World War II. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallowell and the North American Family Campers Association Pine Tree Chapter 33. Blanche was predeceased by her husband, Ernest O. LeVasseur Sr., in 1995; two brothers, John and Stanley Bilevich; and two sisters, Wanda Perry and Mary Freer. Survivors include a son, Ernest O. LeVasseur Jr. of Farmingdale; a daughter, Marion Spiro and her husband, Paul, of Augusta; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Claude "Bud' Anthony Granier, Jr., a retired employee of Shell died Thursday, March 31, 2005 at East Jefferson General Hospital. He was born in Norco and lived in Destrehan for 42 years. A graduate of Destrehan High School, Mr. Granier also held many offices in his church as well as participated in many political and recreational activities throughout his years. Kelly H. Cote, 70, passed away March 30, 2005, of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). She was born March 29, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Peter and Dina (Raikos) Hairis. Kelly has lived in Duluth since 1998. Kelly married Donald J. Cote on July 14, 1981, in Las Vegas. She attended Gethsemane Covenant Church. Kelly was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Jeffrey Colvin. Kelly was the beloved wife of Donald; loving mother of Anne (Steve) Weihsmann, of Proctor; stepmother, of Don (Debra) Cote, of Cambridge, Minn.; dear sister of Mary (John) Georges, of Greendale, Wis.; aunt of Tony, Peter and Tom Georges; and dear grandmother of six wonderful grandchildren, Ryan, Carly, Jackson, and Ellie Weihsmann and Yvonne and Marie Cote. Mursch, Janice A. -- March 30, 2005 Janice A. (Payment) Mursch, 71, of Syracuse, died Wednesday at Rosewood Heights Health Center. Born in Tupper Lake, NY, she resided in the Syracuse area most of her life. She was retired from Price Chopper in Syracuse where she worked asa clerk for 19 years. She had been a communicant of St. Johns Church, Syracuse. She is survived by two sons, Thomas and William Mursch III, both of Syracuse; one daughter, Julie (Christopher) Lee of Syracuse; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Christopher Lee Jr, Felicia Mursch and Ashley Wagner, all of Syracuse. RENAUD, Frank Frank died peacefully and with courage in Ottawa on Friday, March 25, 2005 at age 76, with his dear wife Clarisse (nee Proulx) at his side. Survived by his brother Arnold (Sonia) and predeceased by his brothers Hector and Gordon. Dear friend to Margaret (Peggy) Gall, the late Watson Gall and Gilbert LaSalle. Sadly missed by staff and friends at Laurier Manor. We will remember Frank for his generosity of spirit, his direct and sharp wit, his love of the outdoors, and his long career in sales (Pathfinder Systems). Frank was cared for with love, dignity and caring humour at Laurier Manor, his home for the last few years. LIINAMAA, Arthur Elias - Born in Levack, ON, August 8th, 1927, Arthur Elias Liinamaa passed away March 24, 2005 after a brief illness. Best friend and help-mate for 56 years of Clairetta Penstone Liinamaa. Arthur leaves a legacy of love and devotion to home and family. Dear father of Christine Layne (husband Lee Osmond); Arvi Laurence (wife Helen); Ronald Lennox (wife Edith); Carol Leigh (husband Terry Skanes). Grandchildren: Sean and Christopher Etches and Tanya Osmond; Melissa Liinamaa; Robert (wife Kim), Kristel and Tracy Liinamaa; Jeffrey Lecour and Jonathan Skanes and one great grandson Michael Etches. Son of Viljo and Toini Liinamaa (both predeceased). Dear brother of Aura (husband Bill Koivu), Aira (husband Antero Rauhanen), Arvo Liinamaa, Arlene (husband Richard Manninen), sisters in law Liisa Lenti and Betty Pendleton. Predeceased by brothers Arvi (1942) and Arnold (1979). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Employed for many years as a land surveyor by Lane & Lane. Spent as much free time as he could at the family camp on Lake Penage. He also loved his garden at home. Sadly missed by his feline babies, Gypsy, Kwan Yin and Princess Maya. KEIRSTEAD, Mabel Margearite - Of Amherst age 78 passed away on Thursday March 31, 2005 at Gables Lodge, Amherst, N.S. She was a daughter of the late Carey and Hattie (Crandall) Brown. Mabel and her husband John moved in 1949 from Moncton N.B. to Lively Ont., where they owned and operated The Westgate Motel and Restaurant from 1964-1967. In 1970 they moved to Florida where they lived for 2 years and managed Inglis Motel and Restaurant. In 1972 they relocated to Amherst which has been their home ever since. Mabel and John's first endeavor in Amherst was operating the M+M Garage on Hickman Street. Later they managed the Gateway Motor Inn in Fort Lawrence for several years and also worked for Canada Post doing the Rural Route #4 mail deliveries. In her younger years Mabel was very active in the Militia and the Royal Canadian Legion. Later in her life Mabel volunteered her time at Red Cross, V.O.N. Palliative Care and V.O.N. Adult Day Care. She is survived by son Allan (Donna) Keirstead of Amherst; Foster daughter Sandra Redford of Calgary AB,; sister Mildred Rothwall of Sudbury ON; five grandchildren Mary, Cynthia, John, Rodd and Peter; several nieces and nephews. Mabel was predeceased by her husband John and stepfather Roy Douthwright. Her remains are resting in CAMPBELL'S FUNERAL HOME, 98 Church St., Amherst, Nova Scotia (902-667-9906) with visiting on Friday April 1, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday April 2nd, 2005 at 1 p.m. from Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Lewis officiating. Burial will take place in the spring in the Amherst Cemetery. Donations in Mabel's memory may be made to the Crossroads Gospel Temple, Amherst or charity of your choice.

Predeceased by his brother Edmond (Colette of N.B.). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandson, Anthony. Mr. Haché was a retired Inco Refinery employee. Predeceased by his stepson, Gerry. MACRAE, Terry (Theodora Parsons). 1955 - 2005. Age forty-nine. I am so saddened to announce my passing from cancer on March 28, 2005. I am survived by my husband, Alastair, who in sickness and health, ups and downs, took care of me and stayed by my side. I loved you from the first day I saw you until the day I died. I am also survived by my reasons for living, my daughters Lianne and Shannon and by my son Evan. God was good to me when he blessed me with my family. I was so proud to be their mother. Also living are my parents, my sweet mother Evelyn and my dear father Ted and my brothers Tom and Gary. I have had the most amazing relatives, extended family, and friends, not only through my battle with Cancer but throughout my life. I know you will all be there for my family now.
