ROBINSON Ethel Bernice (nee Grey) Passed away Thursday March 31, 2005 at Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus, at the age of 81 years. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Edward (1999). Dear father of Gloria and husband Chris Palmby, of Canton Mich., Gail Ann Robinson, and Bruce and wife Barb Robinson, all of Windsor. Dear grandmother of Brian, Karen, Heather and Jennifer. Dear sister of the late Laura, Harry, Florence and William. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Robinson spent many years as a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society, and was involved with many Senior's organizations. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Saturday April 2, 2005 from 7-9 pm and on Sunday from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service Monday April 4, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Windsor Chapel. NEWELL, DOROTHY GRACE WADE The death of Dorothy Grace Wade Newell of Fredericton, NB, wife of Bill Newell, occurred on April 1st, 2005. Dorothy passed on peacefully at the hospital, after a very short illness. Born on March 17, 1921 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lillian DeLong. Dorothy was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Baptist Church and was an avid volunteer for her community. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Dr. Richard Wade (Cheryl) and Dr. David Wade (Astrid) both of Fredericton, NB; five grandchildren, Amanda Wade McLaughlin (Carter), Ryan, Ashley, Lance and Misty Wade Hovey (Tristan); three brother-in-laws, Wendell Ritchie, Chester (Reta), Dale (Polly) Wade; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband Herbert Wade and her sister Florence. Bernard R Smith March 13, 1932 - March 31, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) SMITH, Bernard R. - After a lengthy illness, Bernard R. Smith, 73, died March 31, 2005, in Bedford. Bernie was born March 13, 1932, and raised in Moser River, the eldest son of the late Bertha and Karl Smith. Bernie retired from London Life Insurance Company in 1991. Starting as a sales representative in Halifax, his career took him to Niagara Falls, Ont.; Moncton, N.B., and finally London, Ont., where, after 35 years, he retired as Senior Vice President, District Sales Division and moved back east to Bedford. Throughout his life, Bernie enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. Bernie is survived by his loving wife, Earline (Walker); son, Bernard Michael (Christine), North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sisters, Doris Jewers, Ecum Secum; Norma Lowe, Dartmouth; Muriel Chittick, Sheet Harbour, and brother, Cecil Smith, Dartmouth. Predeceased by Wesli Helin (husband), and Ken Nojonen (spouse). Cherished Mummu of Ayla, Erica, Jesse, Wesli, Alex, Viola-Rose and Amberly. Dear sister of Oiva Maki, Reino Maki and May Wilson. Dear daughter of Victor and Lydia Maki; Sister of Violet, Lily, Walter and Earl, all predeceased. Sadly missed by nieces, nephews and friends. Rose was born in a farmhouse in Mattawa, as a teen dreamt of being a movie star, lived most of her life in Nairn Centre. Involved with Girl Guides as a Leader and Commissioner, received Senior of the Year Award in 1999, Senior's correspondent for the Espanola Monitor. Loved music, dancing, playing guitar, performing in skits and dress up, nature, croquet. She truly motivated and inspired everyone. Her last words were, "I'm ready to fly." A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nairn Centre Community Centre. Donations may be made to the Nairn Centre Seniors' Club. Bélisle, Hénédine Mlle Hénédine Bélisle est décédée le mardi 29 mars 2005, à l'âge de 89 ans. Née à Clarence Creek, Ontario, elle était la fille de feu Hermile Bélisle et de feu Clara Charlebois. Elle laisse dans le deuil sa soeur Rose-Line (feu Maurice Cloutier), ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Elle fut prédécédée par ses frères et soeurs: Conrad (feu Maria Joly), Paul-Emile (Thérèse Rochon), Gérard (Aurore Bélisle), Mgr Gilles Bélisle, Charles (Agathe Allard), Marie-Anne (feu Marcel Thivierge) et Denise. Il n'y aura pas de visites au salon, cependant la famille invite parents et amis à se joindre à elle le lundi 18 avril 2005 à 11h30, à l'église Ste-Anne, Ottawa, 528, rue Old St-Patrick, pour une messe en présence des cendres. Née le 4 janvier 1927 à Saint-Antoine, elle était fille de feu Camille William et de feu Exelda Boudreau. Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil une fille adoptive, Laura Hébert d’Ottawa; deux fils: Raoul (Marie-Anne) et Rhéal (Aurainna), tous deux de Saint-Antoine; cinq petits-enfants: Renée, Chantal, Parise, Julien et Caroline; une arrière-petite-fille, Kayla, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Un frère, Albéo, l’a précédée dans la tombe. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 14h, le mardi 5 avril, à la salle mortuaire de l’église de Saint-Antoine-de-Kent.
