GILMOUR, Malvena C. (Allan) Born December 4, 1909 in Walsall, England. Passed away Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Malden Park Continuing Care Centre with her loving family at her side. Predeceased by dear husband Kenneth (1995), daughter Ruby Steer (1997), and her sister Cora Jones (1991). She is survived by her daughter, Peggy and husband Leo Gallant. She is Nana to Pamela and husband Darl Gaudette, Barry and wife Melanie Gallant, Debbie and husband Lorne Simms, Linda and husband Jim Arnold, Michael and wife Alison Steer. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren. Having worked hard all her life she retired at age 65 from Canadian Motor Lamp. Malvena enjoyed the finer things in life and often would share her knowledge in many engaging conversations. She had a great love for animals. She will be missed by those who share memories of her life. If you so desire, donations to Malden Park Continuing Care Centre would be appreciated by the family. A private family service was held at Families First Funeral Home (969-5841) 2670 Dougall Ave. Cremation has taken place. ST. MARTINVILLE -- Services for Enola "Mommit" Mitchell, the former Enola Narcisse, 76, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Notre Dame Catholic Church with the Rev. A. Aockiam, SVD, officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery.Visiting hours will be observed Wednesday from 7 a.m. until the time of service with a rosary being recited at 9:30 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church.A lifelong resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Mitchell died at 7:56 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Lafayette General Hospital following a brief illness.She is survived by her four sons, Michael Mitchell of St. Martinville, Lester J. Mitchell of Lafayette, Harold Mitchell Jr. and Lionel Mitchell both of Houston; three daughters, Mary Wiltz of Parks, Barbara Arabella Wiltz and Ella Louise "T" Ledet of Houston; three sisters, Mable Roberts, Elnora Leon of Parks and Mary George of St. Martinville; 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Mitchell Sr.; parents, Pascal and Berta LeBlanc Narcisse; a son, Anthony Mitchell and a daughter, Theresa Mitchell.Pallbearers will be family and friends.Golden Meadows Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of the arrangements.

LEWISTON - Yvette M. Bechard, 81, a resident of Lewiston, died Easter Sunday, March 27, at 121 Rosedale St., at the home of her nephew who took special care of her, with her family by her side.She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 31, 1923, the daughter of Napoleon and Emilia (Cote) Ouellette.On Feb. 8, 1947, she married Edward L. Bechard Sr., who predeceased her on Feb. 2, 1999. She was a devoted homemaker where she raised her two sons. She was a member Saints Peter and Paul Church as well as the ACME and Pastime clubs of Lewiston. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.Survivors include her two sons, Robert and his wife, Joline Bechard, of Lewiston and Edward L. Jr., and his wife, Kathryn Bechard, of Crestview, Fla.; an aunt, Blanche Bolduc; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including one special niece, Joanne Gagne and one special nephew, Richard Bouchard. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Armand Ouellette.

MAHY, Eugene Ronald 76 years (1928-2005) After a lengthy battle with Alzheimers at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian site on March 27, 2005. Gene was born in Toronto to Majorie and Nelson Mahy (predeceased). He married his wife Shirley Reid in 1948. Beloved father of Carolyn, husband John Huhta, cherished grandfather of Michael and Katherine. He will be sadly missed by sister Patricia Dyble, husband Colin and nephew Sean and niece Stephanie. Father of Ronald wife Sally and grandchildren Christopher, Patrick, Kevin and Sarah. Gene came to Sudbury in 1968 to work as chef for many years at the Mandarin Motor Hotel then moving onto executive chef to some of Sudbury's finest dining establishments. He then decided to open his own, Mahys Dining Lounge in which he was very proud of until his retirement. He loved going to Florida spending many winters in and on Panama City Beach. Elizabeth Rose “Betty” LeBreck, 82, Oconto, was born to eternal rest on Friday, March 25, 2005, following a brief illness. Betty was born on Oct. 16, 1922, in Oconto to the late William and Rose (LaComte) Mineau. Betty married Paul LeBreck on Sept. 16, 1944, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Oconto. Paul preceded her in death on June 24, 1995. They farmed in the town of Oconto for several years and moved to the city of Oconto in 1967. Betty was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Oconto. She was a wonderful mother to her 12 children, always putting their needs above everything else. She loved each of her grandchildren unconditionally and was “everybody’s Mom/Grandma.” Betty was an avid Packer fan, a staunch Democrat and she loved her plants and flowers.Betty is survived by one son, Paul Jr. (Theresa), Oconto; nine daughters, Judy (Ray Maas) Elliot, Appleton; Dona LeBreck, De Pere; Diane (Mike) Zeitler, Pound; Kathy (Doug) Durand, Rose (Les) Stellmacher, Patsy (Mike) Bake, Sue (Mike) Shew, Theresa Hyland and Carol (Jeff) Stewart, all of Oconto. She is further survived by 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, Robert Mineau and Wilfred (Vi) Mineau, Green Bay; one brother-in-law, Arthur Gering, Oconto; and a best friend, Vivian Durand.In addition to her husband, Paul, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret, a son, David, and son-in-law, John Hyland, one sister and three brothers.The family will greet relatives and friends from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service Saturday at Holy Trinity Parish, Park Avenue, Oconto. Tara Lynn Lamb (née Wachal) July 04, 1973 - March 24, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Glen Eden Funeral Home (Winnipeg) With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our Tara on March 24, 2005 with her husband, family and friends at her side. Tara will be forever remembered by her loving husband, best friend and soul mate Mike, her parents Bruce and Ann, grandmother Lillian Wachal, sister Shannon (Mike) and brother Jay. Father in law Bill (Lorraine), mother in law Judy, Baba Stella Sempovitch, sister in law Corinne Mizak (Derek) and soon to be born twin nieces. Also her many aunts, uncles , cousins, friends, co-workers and students, her fuzzy kids Eddie and Bosco, Dairy and Harley, Mort and Jenny. Growing up as a middle child helped develop Tara’s individual and unique personality. She thrived on doing things different, making it interesting and kept you guessing. Growing up Tara’s many interests included baseball, tap dancing, painting, baking, gardening and sewing. She worked part time at the Half Moon Drive Inn for 10 yrs, while attending school making many new friends. Tara graduated from university and went into teaching at Lockport Junior High school, the same school she attended. Some of her co-workers were once her teachers. Tara married the love of her life and high school sweetheart Mike. They did it their way having a Halloween social and getting married in Las Vegas and totally had a blast. Mike and Tara loved their time together, at home, going to the beach, at the lake and just being with their friends and family. Tara’s love of gardening showed as each year, new flowers were added and bloomed. Tara was always creating. She loved to bake, and her unique cakes and cookies will be remembered by a lot of people. If anyone got a card or gift from her, it was always decorated in a very special way. Tara prided herself in being invited to make borscht with Baba and her friends every fall. Tara was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority. Tara gave 150% of herself when it came to her students and always went above and beyond doing extras for “her kids”. She was involved in drama, French club travels, ski club, and coaching sports and excelled at being a wonderful teacher, and friend. Mike and the family appreciate all the things that everyone did for Tara and us during this very difficult time. Thank-you and we love you all. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life was held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, Thursday, March 31, 2005 at 10:00AM. A memorial service will be held at Lockport School for students and co-workers after spring break. ROCHESTER — MaryAnne E. “Marian” (Soucy) Karcher, 80, of Ma-plewood Avenue died peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Con-cord Hospital with her family by her side, after a brief illness.Born Oct. 21, 1924, in Brookfield, she was a daughter of the late Alfonse J. and Rosanna M. (Lavertu) Soucy. A resident of Rochester for the past five years, she had resided in Sanbornville all of her life. She was a graduate of Nute High School in Milton.She retired from DiPrizio’s Lumber Co. in Middleton, where she was employed as a bookkeeper for 25 years.Mrs. Karcher enjoyed reading, feeding and watching the birds and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed taking her two great-grandchildren out to lunch.The widow of the late William A. Karcher Jr., who died on Aug. 12, 2000, she is survived by two daughters, Karen and her husband, Paul Brodzinski, of Rochester and Katherine M. Picard of Rochester; three grandchildren: Lori A. and her husband, Michael Hebert, of Milton, Sherry Eastman and Duane Eastman, both of Manchester; two cherished great-grandchildren, Amanda Rose and Joshua Michael Hebert of Milton; a brother, Alphonse and his wife, Marjorie Soucy, of Newport; also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Theresa Duncklee, and a brother, Armand Soucy.As per her request, there are no calling hours. Lorenza "Loretta" MarcAurele -- December 22, 1912 -- March 28, 2005 -- PLAINFIELD -- Lorenza "Loretta" MarcAurele, 92, formerly of 14 Winsor Ave., died Monday morning at Village Manor Health Care. She was born December 22, 1912 in Providence, Rhode Island a daughter of the late Albert and Alma (Decelles) St. Amand.Mrs. MarcAurele had resided in Plainfield since 1959, moving from Warwick, RI. She had been employed for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Villa Maria Convalescent Home in Plainfield, retiring many years ago. Mrs. MarcAurele was a communicant of St. John The Apostle Church. She first was married to William T. Burdick Sr., who died in 1957 and later married Armand MarcAurele who died in 1986.Survivors include a son William T. Burdick Jr. of Oneco, four grandchildren, Craig Burdick of Columbia, Laurie Methot and her husband Robert of Oneco, Nancy Adams and her husband Garrett of Fall River, MA., and Amanda Burdick of Danielson; two great grandchildren, Kyle and Tyler Methot and several nieces and nephews.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. John Church, Plainfield at a later date. Born in Manchester on Nov. 12, 1927, Mr. Jodoin was the son of Adrien and Lily (Bureau) Jodoin. He was raised in Manchester and had been a Hooksett resident since 1956. He was a World War II Navy veteran and then worked as a baker for Cote's Bread Co. for 22 years prior to his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beatrice T. (Vallee) Jodoin of Hooksett; three sons, Donald Jodoin of Bedford, Michael Jodoin of Auburn and David Jodoin of Concord; a daughter, Nancy Lascelle of Hooksett; nine grandchildren; a brother, Maurice Jodoin of Pearland, Texas; four sisters, Rita Blouin of Rochester, Lucille Martinson of Pinardville and Noella Lessard and Theresa Marcoux, both of Manchester; and nieces and nephews. STETHEM, Kenneth After a courageous 3 year battle with cancer and its complications, Ken died suddenly and peacefully at home on Sunday, March 27, 2005 with family and his caring doctor at his side.
