Daniel "Danny" Malcolm McNeil December 21, 1957 - March 28, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home *McNEIL……Daniel Malcolm “Danny”, age 47, of Ben Jackson Road, Lockhartville, Kings County, passed away on Monday, March 28th, 2005, at the Q.E. II, New Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, surrounded by his wife and family. Born on December 21st, 1957, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he is the son of Michael Edward McNeil and Shirley Marie (Keddy) McNeil, of Lockhartville. Danny was a diesel mechanic by trade. He started his diesel career at the age of 17, with his father Mike, at Avon Diesel, Hantsport, for 21 years and later worked at Detroit Diesel, Dartmouth, for 9 years. Danny enjoyed snowmobiling, working and showing his miniature horses, with his wife Bev. He also liked working on small engines. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife of 13 years, the former Bev Marion Mansfield; sons, Khristopher McNeil, Lockhartville; Gregory McNeil, Windsor; step-son, Christopher Shortell, Toronto; sisters, Connie (Gary) McNeil, Lockhartville; Marcia (Brian) Eyre, Kentville; Wendy (Ralph) Hayden, Coldbrook; Sheryl McNeil, Halifax; Shawna (Kendall) Morse, Berwick; brothers, Craig (Tracey) McNeil, Hants Border; Mike McNeil, Hants Border; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and no visitations by request. Funeral service will be held, 2 p.m. Thursday, March 31st, 2005, in the Chapel of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor, with Mr. Willard Smith officiating. Burial will be at a later date. No flowers by request, but donations may be made to the Annapolis Valley Harness Club {9147 Highway 201, Nictaux, NS, B0S 1P0., for a Trophy to be presented in Danny’s name.

THOMPSON, Ellwood H., Went peacefully in St. Catharines on Sunday, March 27, 2005, Ellwood H. Thompson of St. Catharines, aged 89 years. Predeceased by wife Jean F. Thompson. Dear father of Betty and Cliff Ripenburg, Gordon and Beverly Thompson, Ric hard and Sharon Thompson, Kenneth and Vickie Thompson, Don Thompson and Brian and Patricia Thompson. Well loved grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was a faithful lodge member o f L.O.L. #998 and R.B.K.O.W. #159. Willis Mouton, Sr.,96, of Winnie died March 27, 2005 at his residence. LUSHER, RICHARD PHILIP At the Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, Va, on 24 March '05, Richard (Dick) Lusher died at the age of 74. A graduate of Girard College in Philadelphia, Pa, his subsequent career at the University of Maryland where he specialized in theater studies was curtailed by an opportunity to work in television in Baltimore, Md. After the years in Baltimore, he and his family moved to Washington, D.C., where he was employed for many years at the Smithsonian Institution. Thereafter, he moved to Mathews, Va., where he and a business partner designed, created, built and transported scenery for the dinnertheater circuit in the Virginia-MarylandPennsylvania area. For the last twentyfive years of his life, he and his wife have been closely involved with the Courthouse Players of Mathews, Va., sometimes directing plays and sometimes designing and building sets for the group's productions. He is survived by his wife Meryl of Mathews, Va.; by his brother Harold E. Lusher of Fredericton, NB.; his half-sister Nancy Lee Viar of Seaford, Del., and by daughters from earlier marriages Jamie, Nina and Lisa. He was predeceased by both his father, George Thomas Lusher, who died in Hazleton, Pa., in 1932, and his mother, Emilie W. Rushing, wh died in Takoma Park, Md., in 2002. KRISTEV, Alexander Alexander "Alex" Kristev passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian on Sunday, March 27, 2005 at age 76. Born in Pleven, Bulgaria, on November 25, 1928, he was the son of the late George and Zlata Kristev. Alex was a Physical Electronics Engineer and Master Electrician who owned several local businesses over the years including Sudbury Instrumentation, Orion Electronics and Alex Electrical. Extremely intelligent with a warm sense of humour, he will be greatly remembered for sharing his witty jokes and Bulgarian proverbs, his helpful, giving nature and his delicious homemade banitsa and baklava. He is survived by his wife, Judy, of Sudbury; his son George of Pikeville, North Carolina; his daughter, Kristina, of Abbotsford, B.C.; and two grandchildren. Alex was pre- deceased by his parents and daughter Jeanette and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, extended families and friends whose lives he touched. Joseph was born in Windsor and lived in Windsor and Royal Oak, Michigan before retiring to Florida. He is survived by his beloved wife Marie (Dumouchelle). Loving father of John and wife Hanna of Tennessee, Michelle and husband Paul Goldsarb of California, Joanne and husband Michael Balog of Michigan. Grandfather of Andrew and Hanna LaPrise, Erin and Joseph Balog. Dear brother of Helen Murphy and husband Frank of Harrow, Rosemary Marentette and husband Bernard of Windsor.
