Eula D. Lambert, no age given, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Bayou Blue, died Sunday, March 27, 2005. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Samart Funeral Home in Houma and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her companion, L.J. Melancon; one son, Hercule Lambert and wife, Marylin; two daughters, Aureline Thiel and Regina Jarvis and husband, Gary; one brother, Willie J. Dugas; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lambert; her parents, Clarence and Ozia Dugas; one son-in-law, Patrick Thiel Sr.; one brother, Wilbert Dugas; and one sister, Rita Dugas. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.

SPRINGFIELD – Claire M. (Laflamme) Dupre, 81, of the Indian Orchard section of Springfield was Called Safely Home on Monday, March 28, 2005 from her home with her loving family at her side. She was employed as a housekeeper at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield and retired in 1982. She was born in Buckland, Province of Quebec, Canada on September 25, 1923 a beloved daughter of the late Allyre and Amazelie (Aubin) Laflamme. She moved to Springfield in 1947 and later lived in Agawam for 25 years. She moved to the McKinley Apartments on Asinof Avenue in Chicopee in 1990 and lived there until last October when she moved to Indian Orchard. She was a communicant of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee. She was a former communicant of Saint Thomas Aquinas Church in Springfield and a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne of the church. She was also a member of the Brightwood Branch of the Springfield Golden Age Club and a member of the Baystate Medical Retirees Club. Her beloved husband Raymond E. Dupre was Called Home on June 8, 1980. She leaves her loving children, Susan M. Dupre of Agawam and Roland R. Dupre and his wife Debbie of Indian Orchard with whom she lived. Her four cherished grandchildren, Megan McHenry of Charleston, SC, Joshua Dupre and his wife Megan of Annapolis, MD, Jillian Dupre of Atlanta, GA and Peter Aldrich and his wife Brett of Nashua, NH. Her cherished great granddaughter, Lillian Aldrich. Her dear brothers and sisters, Gerard Laflamme and his wife Simone of Longmeadow, Maurice Laflamme and his wife Aurore of Longmeadow, Rosa Larochelle of Saint Damien, Province of Quebec, Canada, Margaret Racette and her husband Leo of South Hadley and Jeanne Couture of South Hadley. Her dear sister-in-law, Anita Laflamme of Chicopee and her many dear nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her dear brothers, Damien, Edgar, Silvio, Paul and Marcel Laflamme and her dear sister, Bernadette Tardif. Her funeral will be held Thursday morning, March 31, 2005 at 8:30 a.m. from the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, 7 Chapin Terrace at the corner of Chestnut Street in Springfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 405 Boston Road in Springfield. Her burial will follow the Mass at Saint Michael's Cemetery, 1601 State Street in Springfield. MANSBRIDGE, Stanley Harry It is with deep love, respect and enormous sadness that the family of Stanley Harry Mansbridge announces that he died peacefully in his 87th year on Easter Sunday, March 27th, 2005 in London, Ontario. Wing Commander Mansbridge, RAF, D.F.C. was born in Folkestone, England on May 29th, 1918, the son of Harry Mansbridge (Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry) and Alice (Taylor) Mansbridge. He was the last of his immediate family, predeceased by his parents, four brothers and one sister. Mr. Mansbridge passionately believed in public service, and served with distinction the Royal Air Force (1939-1946) the Governments of Great Britain and Malaya (1946-1954), the Government of Canada (1954-1976), the Government of Alberta (1976-1981) and the University of Victoria (1981-1986). Mr Mansbridge is survived by his devoted wife of sixty-one wonderful years, Brenda Louise. The cherished father of Wendy, Peter and Paul and father-in-law of Douglas Gunn, Cynthia Dale and Susan Mansbridge. The much admired grandfather of Jennifer Mansbridge, Lisa Gunn, David Gunn, Pamela Mansbridge, Andrew Gunn, Wendy Mansbridge, Christopher Mansbridge, Thomas Mansbridge and William Mansbridge; and the great-grandfather of Alexandra Gunn and Honor Mansbridge Hinchey. Special Poppa to Jordan Hinchey, Joy Yunker, Cameron Dilayand and Heather Wirick. A private family service will be held in St. Thomas, Ontario on Friday, April 1st, 2005. HUMPHREYS, Enoch Clarence (Larry). Passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2005 after a very brief illness at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay at the age of one hundred and two. He was born in Montreal in 1902 and experienced many interesting jobs and was so proud of his 37 yrs at Hilroy in Toronto and driving the Royal Guard for the Prince of Wales around 1927. He joins his late parents and 10 siblings. He will be re-united with "the love of his life" Rhoda who predeceased him on June 25, 2004. He is survived by his only daughter, Ora Evola (Florida) and his devoted great niece, Donna Swanson, who had the privilege of sharing "Uncle Larry's" daily life over the past 10 months. He is also survived by a nephew, Ted Humphreys (Barbara) and many great & great-great nieces and nephews (Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver). Larry will be sadly missed by his adoptive doggies, Buddy & Baxter ("the Baby") who brought him so much joy. Many thanks to Beverley Pierunek who assisted in his care and provided great companionship. Larry put all his faith and trust in Dr. Peter Anderson and appreciated his advice for more than 20 yrs. Larry had a great passion for his "Hawaiian Steel Guitar" and did his last dance steps on the 3rd floor of the RMH. Sincere thanks go out to the nursing staff who observed this remarkable man and provided exceptional care and attention. Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held at a later date. Carol Louise Kilgar (née Langley) December 25, 1938 - March 27, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) KILGAR, Carol Louise - Eastern Passage, died March 27, 2005, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Providence, R.I., she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Mildred Langley. Carol came to Canada at the age of two and graduated as a hairdresser from the Halifax Vocational School where she captured the Proficiency Trophy. She ran her own hairdressing shop and worked at Ferry Aviation Canada and as Jewelry Manager for Zellers Ltd. Carol was a wonderful mother and grandmother as well as a friend and advisor for any who crossed her path. She will be remembered for her generous heart and sage advice. Carol was a devoted Roman Catholic who took much solace from her tremendous faith. She is survived by her husband, Basil; daughters, Kathleen Kilgar (Bruce Hubley), Linda (Mrs. Stephane Fortin), Carol-Ann Kilgar (Randy Leroux); grandchildren, Michael Fortin, Rachel Fortin, Kimberley Leroux; sisters, Joan Hotte, Palm Springs, Calif.; Audrey McCready, Dartmouth. NICKERSON (EISENER), WENDY RUTH Wendy Ruth (Eisener) Nickerson, 35, Clyde River, passed away at 7:30 a.m. March 26, 2005, in the VG Site, QEII, in Halifax. Born in Fredericton, NB., on January 22, 1970, she was the daughter of George and the late Gwen (Moran) Nickerson of Clyde River and daughter-in-law of Barbara and the late Lorie Eisener of Italy Cross. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Brian Eisener, sisters, Laurel (Jamieson), Janice (Sarginson), Sheila (Wiltzen), Kerry (Faye), brothers, Bradford, Clive, Garth and Duane. Wendy was a teacher and guidance counselor at Barrington High School for eight years. She loved a variety of activities in her life, including church, traveling, hiking, biking and canoeing. Wendy enjoyed most of all, sharing her time with children, many nieces and nephews and the students at school. Wendy impacted many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, in Huskilson's Funeral Home, Shelburne. I. Lillian Porter YARMOUTH, NS - I. Lillian Porter, 92, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday night, March 27, 2005, in Gentle Care Senior Care Home in Yarmouth. Formerly of Port Maitland, Yarmouth Co., Lillian was born at Sedro Wooley, Wash., USA. She was the daughter of the late Hanford D. and Iris L. (Harding) Chapman. She was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church, as church organist for many years. She was a member of the W.M.S. and treasurer. She served on the provincial executive of the U.B.W.M.U. and was a member of the Gideon's Ladies Auxiliary. After graduating from Horton Academy of Acadia University with a diploma in Business, she worked for a year in the bursar's office of the university, then for two years was a bookkeeper for Maritime Baptist. For many years she managed the bookkeeping for her husband's carpentry business. She entertained numerous people from the church and community, homemade ice cream being her specialty. Surviving are daughters, Bernice (Grafton) Outhouse, Tiverton, Iris Porter, Moncton, NB., Peggy (Jim) Rose, Port Maitland, Yarmouth Co.; son, Rev. Douglas (Ella) Porter, Pleasantville; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew; and grandson, David. The body is resting in Sweeny's Funeral Home in Yarmouth. M. Winifred Donahue Margaret Winifred Donahue, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, March 28, 2005. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Mary (Kelly) Donahue. Winnie enjoyed a career of over fifty years with the T. Eaton Co., and represented the Atlantic Provinces as Eaton's Centennial employee in 1967. She was a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church and the T. Eaton Quarter Century Club. She is survived by her sister, Mary Cameron; brother-in-law, Ralph Fahey; and sister-in-law, Irene Donahue, all of Moncton; nieces, Doreen Hamilton, Sharon Fahey, Wanda Garland, and Linda Fahey; nephews, James Fahey, and Gary Fahey; and by several cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, James Donahue; and by sisters, Alice Steeves and her husband Alan, Greta Fahey and her husband Harry, and Florence Fahey; and by a brother-in-law, James Cameron. Eugene was employed with Galbraith Construction and the City of Saint John as a heavy equipment mechanic. Frank J. Robichau, Sr., born September 9, 1923 in Beaumont, died peacefully at home Saturday, March 26, 2005 in Lufkin of complications from emphysema. He graduated from St. Anthony's High School in Beaumont in 1940 and proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Frank was a purchasing agent and sales representative for several supply companies throughout his career. He was a past President of the Southeast Texas Purchasing Agents Association, the Beaumont Bowling Association and a member of Crime Stoppers. He also volunteered as an umpire for little league baseball and later umpired softball for the City of Beaumont. He loved to play golf, bowl and fish. He was a member of St. Anthony's Cathedral. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Edna Drake Robichau; three sons, Frank J. Robichau, Jr. of Suisun City, California, Thomas E. Robichau of O'Fallon, Illinois and Charles Roger Robichau of Houston; two daughters and son-in-laws, Judy and Tom Dunn and Mary Kathryn and Jimmy Allen of San Antonio; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jo and John Neil of Beaumont; brother-in-law, Franklin Williamson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Hewitt P. Robichau, Sr.; three brothers, Hewitt P. Robichau, Jr., Joseph O. OBITUARY PAULINE GAIPTMAN 1925-2005 Pauline (Pat) Gaiptman of Calgary passed away on Friday, March 25, 2005 at the age of seventy-nine years. She spent the majority of her life in Montreal before moving to Toronto and then Calgary. Pat was the devoted wife of the late Sidney Gaiptman; the loving mother and mother-in-law of Barbara Gaiptman and Joel Baker of Toronto, Ellen and Bill Chidley of Calgary and John and Sharoyne Gaiptman of Victoria; the cherished grandmother of Daniel and Jodi Baker, Katie and Jennie Chidley and Elisha and Jessica Gaiptman. Pat will be sadly missed by her extended family and all who knew her. Pat's greatest happiness was her family. She was also passionate about education as exemplified by her decision to enrol in university, culminating in her graduation from McGill University with a Bachelor of Social Work in 1975. She was valued by her clients and professional colleagues for her wisdom and her commitment to the cause of the disadvantaged. Her family has many wonderful memories of sharing her love of the arts, music and literature with her. She will be forever remembered by her children and grandchildren for the time they spent together. A Graveside Service was held on Monday, March 28, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Jewish Cemetery (30th Avenue & Erlton Street S.W., Calgary, AB). Emmanual Battaglia July 01, 1913 - March 14, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2005 at Deer Lodge Centre, with his loving wife Muriel of 63 years, at his side. He’s also survived by two sons, Kenneth of Winnipeg, Philip (Gwen) of Lockport; sister Angie Kunstar of Kelowna, B.C.; brother Fred of Renton, Washington and brother-in-law Stan Siver of Winnipeg. Emmanuel was predeceased by his son Dennis in infancy. Emmanuel was very proud that he was born on July 1, one of eleven children. He spent 41/2 years in the Navy, serving on Convoy Duty. He was a physical training instructor, with boxing as his specialty. He was also an amateur boxer in his early years. He was in the catering business most of his life. He loved the outdoors and with his family went camping during the summer and later enjoyed our cottage at Victoria Beach. After retirement we went on many bus tours from coast to coast and far south as Memphis. He enjoyed feeding the birds everyday. We would like to say thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff for all there wonderful care, it was truly appreciated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. RIDDELL, Joseph Alexander In loving memory of Joseph Alexander Riddell, 75 years, of Onaping, who passed away Saturday evening, March 26th, 2005 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Centre. He was born in Lloydminister, Alberta and married Isabelle (Scragg) in 1956 in Edmonton. Joe came to Onaping in 1969 having previously resided in Yukon, Alberta and Nicaragua. He was a professional engineer having graduated from the University of Alberta. He had been a member of the Professional Engineers & Geologists Association in both Alberta and the Yukon. He had been a mining superintendent at Falconbridge Ltd. having over 25 years service retiring in 1993. A very industrious man he inspired others to do their best in the workplace. Always an active man he was the commodore of the Ona-Lac Canoe Club; a former member of the Levack-Onaping Lions Club, he helped with the Christmas projects; he was a member of the Northern Ontario Relic & Treasure Hunters' Club and a former member of the Snowflake Square Dancing Club. He also helped spearhead the Onaping Falls Medical Equipment Fund. A man of faith he was a member of St. John's United Church where he actively participated in its ministries and fellowship. He had travelled extensively, enjoyed photography, was an avid reader and published author. He was a volunteer at Science North and Dynamic Earth. Joe will be remembered as a loyal and fair person who had a wonderful sense of humour. He was devoted to his family. Joe embodied Christ's Lessons as a caring Shepherd and good Samaritan to all he met. Beloved husband of Isabelle (Scragg) Riddell of Onaping. (Archambault) Minahan, 80, died Sunday at Academy Manor Nursing Home.She was employed by Ray-theon of Andover for over 26 years.Born and raised in Methuen, Mrs. Minahan was educated in the Methuen and Lawrence school systems. She was a lifelong resident of greater Lawrence.She attended St. Patrick's Church in Lawrence, and was a member of Local 1505 Electrical Workers, Raytheon Quaker Century Club, and the Methuen Senior Center.The widow of Albert J. Minahan, she leaves sons Albert J. Jr. and his wife, Terri, and Charles W. and his wife, Suzanne, both of Methuen; daughter Catherine N. Franz and her husband, William, of Salem, N.H.; sister Ruth Simoes of New Town, Pa.; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to the Methuen Senior Activity Center, 77 Lowell St., Methuen, MA 01844.ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours are tomorrow from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Charles F.
