HARRON, R. James (Jim) Passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, Ontario, on February 7, 2005 in his 88th year. Survived by his wife D. Josephine Harron, (nee Cruickshank) of Owen Sound and sons J. Beverley Harron of Arnprior, Brian Harron and his wife Barbara of Arnprior, Gerald Harron and his wife Carol of Mississauga. Grandfather to Dr. Christine Harron (Neil Wilson), Geoffrey Harron, Susan Anastasopoulos (Jim), Jamie Harron (Angela). Great-grandfather to Emma, Aidan, Connor and Noah. Predeceased by his parents Robert A. Harron and Louella Matilda Nickason, his brother William (Bill) Harron and sister Margaret Hall. Born and raised in Arran Township, Jim moved to Ottawa in 1941 where he was employed by the National Research Council of Canada for 33 years. An avid fisherman and ham radio operator, he was an active member of the Georgian Bay Amateur Radio Club. Known for his friendliness and sense of humour, Jim will be sadly missed by family, friends and numerous nieces and nephews. Service for R. James Harron will be held in the Funeral Chapel of Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, Ont. at 1:00 p.m. on February 10, 2005. Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 p.m. before the service. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre Foundation, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. SHAW, Glenn Russell September 15, 1963 - February 8, 2005 Surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer, Glenn left us peacefully in his sleep at the age of 41. Beloved son of Russell and Dolores Shaw (nee Ellwood). Grandson of William and Evelyn Ellwood (nee Garant). Dearly loved brother to Rusty Kim LaMoy (David), Susan Lavallee (Robert), Curtis (Corrie) and Debbie Lowe (Stephen Sr.). WORCESTER— Phyllis A. (Bergeron) Madaio, 78, of 39 First St., died Sunday Feb. 6 in St. Vincent Hospital after a long illness. Her husband, George Madaio, died in 1986. She leaves two sons, Philip P. Madaio and his wife Shirley A. of Worcester, and Joseph P. Madaio and his wife Sheila M. of Abington, a brother, Kenneth Bergeron of Auburn and 3 sisters, Marion Pagorek Mangitordi of Worcester, Rita Collins of Brewster, and Barbara Cabana of Worcester, 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and her devoted companion, Raymond P. Zukowski of Worcester. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Alfred and Catherine A. (Driscoll) Bergeron and lived here all her life. She was head cook at Burncoat Junior High School for 25 years, retiring in 1971. She was a long time member of St. John's Church. She was an avid traveler and liked spending her winters in Florida and time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. NEW BEDFORD -- Beatrice R. (Coderre) Methe, 86, of Fairhaven died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, in St. Luke's hospital. She was the widow of Phillippe Methe. Born Sept. 13, 1918, in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Amanda (Bourgeois) Coderre. She grew up in New Bedford, moved to Fort Myers, Fla., in 1974 and had lived at Alden Place for one year. She was a trimmer for Acushnet Rubber and did bookkeeping with her husband for Lateurneau and Methe Land Clearing. Mrs. Methe was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Knight's of Columbus in Fort Myers. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and reading. Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Lincoln, and her husband, Glenn, of Acushnet, Diane Kois, and her husband, Gary, of Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Lucille Coderre of Fairhaven; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be at 8 a.m. from the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's and St. Therese Catholic Church in New Bedford. Interment will be in Fort Myers Cemetery at a later date.

LEOMINSTER -- Arlene T. (Champa) Bussiere, 86, of 94 Summer St., Fitchburg, formerly of 24 Mckinley St., Leominster, died Monday, Feb. 7, in Hillcrest Nursing Home, Fitchburg, after an illness. She was born in Fitchburg on May 20, 1918, the daughter of the late Michael and Giovannina (Carbone) Champa, and lived here all of her life.Mrs. Bussiere was employed at the former Cluet Peabody Company for 22 years as a seamstress.She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Leominster and attended Fitchburg schools.She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends, bingo, and playing cards with her friends. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed cooking, sewing and decorating her home. She sewed a teddy bear for each of her 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.Mrs. Bussiere leaves two sons, Richard F. Bussiere Jr. of Fitchburg and his wife, Donna L. and John “Jack” E. Bussiere and his wife, Susan, of Fitzwilliams, N.H.: one daughter, Darlene MacDonald and her husband, Larry, of Garland, Texas; two brothers, Anthony and Michael Champa, both of Fitchburg; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and grandnieces and grandnephews. Her husband of 48 years, Richard F. Bussiere Sr., died on Dec. 23, 1990. She was also predeceased by one brother, Joseph Champa of Fitchburg, who died in 1987 and one sister, Cherina Kosakowski of Fitchburg, who died in 1998.BUSSIERE -- On Feb. 7, Arlene T. He served in Germany during the Vietnam War as a Nike Radar Technician. He returned to Malden after his discharge with his wife Claire and went to work for the Hewlett Packard Co. of Andover. He was employed there for over thirty eight years and when he retired in 2000 he was the manager of their Agilent Technology Division. He was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish in Malden and the American Legion Post 69 of Malden. Mr. Doucette was a life long resident of Malden, MA. He is survived by his wife Claire (Curtin)of Malden, his father Charles W. Doucette, Sr. of Malden, his daughter, Janine Doucette of Groton, his son, Michael Doucette of NH, his sister, Patricia Cook of FL and his granddaughters, Marissa & Michelle Doucette of NH.He was preceded in death by his mother Eleanor (Robishaw) Doucette.He was born June 8, 1939 in Malden, Massachusetts the son of Charles and Eleanor (Robishaw) Doucette, Sr... DUFRESNE, Paul E., 92, formerly of 332 Dulude Ave., Woonsocket died Monday in St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield. He was the husband of the late Alberta (Lambert) Dufresne. Mr. Dufresne was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Joseph and Antonia (Pouliot) Dufresne. Mr. Dufresne had a very colorful past in his youth he was a bootlegger and also worked in a speakeasy. He was a machinist for the Whitinsville Machine Works and the Foxboro Co., for many years before retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for many years.Mr. Dufresne is survived by a daughter Helen Petrone of Warwick, a sister Berthe Paquin, four grandchildren, Laura Testa, Melissa Frost, Richard Petrone Jr., and James Petrone, and seven great granddaughters. He was also the brother of the late Romeo, Philip, Gerard and Bertrand Dufresne, Rena Hudson, Gertrude Tyler and Antoinette McCollum.His funeral will be held Friday at 8:30 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in the St. Antoine Residence Chapel, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield. NORTH ANDOVER -- Bernard P. Forest, 70, died Monday, Feb. 7, at Lawrence General Hospital.Mr. Forest entered the Army in 1954 and served in Seoul, South Korea at the 8th Army Headquarters. He later joined the 85th Aerial Port Squadron at Hanscom Air Force Base.He was employed at Avco Systems Textron for 30 years. After his retirement, he was employed at the Eagle-Tribune.His survivors include his former wife, Carol Ann (Gibbons) Forest; four children, Deborah A. ROLAND V. FORTIN HIGHGATE CENTER — Roland V. Fortin, 74, passed away peacefully at his home, Feb. 8, 2005, surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 14, 1930, the son of Origene and Olive (Seguin) Fortin in Rock Island, Quebec. Roland began working as a tailor in Rock Island and later fulfilled his dream of owning his own dairy farm in Highgate. His favorite pastime was watching Hockey Night in Canada. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jeannine (Martin) Fortin; and his five children, Denis, Rene and his wife Patty, Michel and his wife Rejeanne, Angele, Claude and his wife Lucie; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters and one brother. He was predeceased by his parents, one sister and four brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Louis Parish in Highgate with Father Maurice Boucher as celebrant. A lunch will follow in the Nativity Church Hall in Swanton. Paul Alcide Gregoire, 68, a native and resident of Dulac, died at 9:58 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005. Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mary Solet Gregoire of Dulac; one son, Paul I. Gregoire and wife, Roxanne, of Dulac; two daughters, Mathilda Verret and husband, Glen, of Dulac, and Pauline Bergeron and husband, Pete, of Gray; one brother, John Gregoire of Houma; two sisters, Celine Martinez and Antoine Feet of Grand Caillou; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre Gregoire and Marie Solet Gregoire; two brothers, Joseph Julius "Ringo" Gregoire and Pierre "Neg" Gregoire; one sister, Anna Mae Gregoire; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Gregoire and Mr. and Mrs. Michelle Solet. He was a retired ice maker with Ivy Authement Ice Company for 49 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 7722 of Dulac, 3rd and 4th degree, Holy Name Society President, past Color Grand Commander for last 24 years, past Faithful Navigator, and past Grand Knight. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Doris L. Braget Tetrault -- Doris L. Braget Tetrault age 83 of Bremerton, WA, and formerly of Walhalla, ND, died on Saturday, January 29, 2005, in Bremerton, WA. Doris L. Hillier was born December 13, 1921, at Easby, ND, to Harold Roland and Viola (Campbell) Hillier. She grew up and attended school in Walhalla and the surrounding area, and graduated from Walhalla High School in 1939. On January 30, 1943, she married Louis Braget at Junction City, KS. After their marriage, Louis served in General Patton's armored division in the European Theater during World War II, while she lived in Bremerton, WA, where she worked in the salvage department of the Puget Sound Navy Yard. In 1945, they returned to Walhalla and later moved to The Dalles, OR, for three years returning to Walhalla in 1956. Louis Braget died on February 17, 1971. Doris worked at Morin Pharmacy in Walhalla for nearly 20 years until 1973. On July 2, 1973, she married Lawrence "Whitey' Tetrault at Walhalla, ND. After their marriage they moved to Bremerton, WA. Lawrence Tetrault died on November 30, 1988. She was active in the Ladies of the Elks, the Y.M.C.A. where she enjoyed exercise and other activities, the Summit Avenue Presbyterian Church, all of Bremerton, WA, and was a life-long member of the Walhalla American Legion Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, and attending the sporting events of her grandsons. Doris is survived by her daughters, Lori (Neil) McCormick, Shoreview, MN, Karen (Rodney) Huffman, Walhalla, ND, and Sheryl (Lyle) Webb, Bremerton, WA, grandsons, Bryan and Scott Webb both of Bremerton, WA, sisters, Letamae "Dolly' (Edwin) Moon, Kingston, WA, and Maureen (Jack) Gennai, Brookings, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Wellington "Sonny' Hillier in childhood and Elwood Hillier, sisters, Lexy Crowston and Celo Braget. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 11, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at the Walhalla-Park Center Presbyterian Church, Walhalla, ND. Burial will be at the Walhalla Hillside Cemetery. Elizabeth was born in Hausdorf, Germany on August 4, 1910 and came to Canada in 1932. She was a longtime resident of Richmond, B.C. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul Gruger (1971); her son Ronald Gruger (1969); her daughter Ingrid Kalheim (1978); and her sister Elfriede Veith. Anita B. Benson, 67 of EIlington, beloved wife of Morris Benson, died Sunday, (February 6, 2005) at home after a decade-long battle with cancer. Anita was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Albert and Flora Belliveau and has resided in Ellington since 1960. She graduated from Hartford High School in 1955 and was employed for many years at Hartmann's Supermarket in Vernon. She brought happiness to all who knew her. Anita leaves her three sons, David and his wife, Linda of Tolland, Daniel of Ellington and Stephen and his dear friend, Lisa Rosner, who Anita considered a daughter-in-law. She also leaves four grandchildren, Brian, Kristin, Kara and Kaitlin; three brothers, Brother Roderic, who is a Trappist Monk in Kentucky, Daniel Belliveau of Torrington and Richard Belliveau of South Windsor. Anita was predeceased by her wonderful daughter, Katherine. The family of Anita Benson gives special thanks to Dr. Hoffman and his staff as well as the Vernon Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care. Edna Marie Bertrand Martinez, 75, a native of Crowley and resident of Thibodaux, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005. Sadie Sonnier, 86, of Orange, died Sunday, February 6, 2005, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2005, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Reverend Tom Phelan, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church, will be the celebrant. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Mausoleum in Orange. Visitation will begin Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. with a Wake Service beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Mrs. Sonnier was born in Scott, Louisiana on December 12, 1918. On October 15, 1938, she married Ophe Sonnier and in 1942, they moved to Orange where she owned and operated Sadie's Beauty Shop for over 20 years. Mr. and Mrs. Sonnier were avid Polka dancers and members of the Polka Lovers Association of America. They were also members of the Cruising Cajuns Travel Club. They traveled together around the country in their motor home making many friends along the way. Her husband Ophe preceded her in death on January 8, 2005, following 66 years of marriage. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the Women of St. Francis, the Young at Heart, the Catholic Daughters and she was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary. Mrs. Sonnier was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carole Taylor, and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Joyce Sonnier of Orange; sisters, Addie Breaux of Carencro, La, Mable Faul of Sulphur, La.; grandchildren, Melissa Taylor and Bryan Taylor of Baton Rouge, La., Paula Drye of Lafayette, La., Todd Sonnier of Orange, Erin Sonnier of Austin and Jill Saltzman of Bridge City; great grandsons, Taylor Drye of Lafayette, La. and Logan Paul Saltzman of Bridge City. (SAUTE), 99, formerly of Flynn Terrace, West Warwick, a former tax collector for the Town of West Warwick for over 33 years before retiring in 1971, died on Monday at the South County Nursing & Subacute Center in North Kingstown. She was the wife of the late Arthur L. Chinat. Also 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Jack and 2 brothers Albert and Roland St. Marie. Rita was born March 19, 1925 in Worcester to John and Florida (Berthiaume) St. Marie and has lived many years in Grafton. Mrs. Vitaris was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester and The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. She worked as a secretary at Holy Name High School in Worcester during the 1960's and then as a Medical Secretary for Dr. Lavoie also in Worcester before retiring. Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 10th at 9:30 AM from The Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St. (Rt. 122 & 140) in North Grafton followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in her Parish Church of St. Mary, 17 Waterville St. (Rt. 30) North Grafton.
