MACDONALD, Lois Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital, after a lengthy illness, on Saturday, February 5, 2005. Lois (nee Powell), in her 80th year, beloved wife of the late Ernie Smith. Dear mother of Judy Duffy and her husband Ivan, and Tim Ma cDonald and his wife Peg. Special "Nan" to Steven, Debbie (Derek), Mark (Rachel), Matthew (Tonya) and to 9 great grandchildren. WASON, J. Stuart M. FFA, FCIA, ASA Passed away peacefully, at the Kingston General Hospital on Sunday, February 6, 2005, at the age of 82 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years Winifred Marjorie, his son Stuart and his wife Karen an d their four sons, Michael, Robert, David and Geoffrey. CALLAWASSIE ISLAND, S.C. -- Claude Noel Cote, 74, of Callawassie Island, died Sunday, Feb. 6, in Hilton Head Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 24, 1930, in Worcester, Mass., the son of Ovilla Cote and Eglantine Provencel Cote. He was a retired chief warrant officer of the U.S. Army.For more than 20 years, Mr. Cote owned Cote Associates of Wolfeboro, N.H. Mr. Cote was a member of St. Katherine’s Catholic Church of Wolfeboro, where he was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the American Legion of Leominster, Mass., and the Georgia Chapter of the Studebaker Club of America. COTE -- On Feb. 6, Claude Noel Cote, 74, of Callawassie Island, S.C. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Berkebile, Pauline Laurette (Coulombe), 47, of Fort Wayne, IN, died February 2, 2005 at Florida Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL of cardiac arrest. Born July 1, 1957 in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of Yvette (Neveu) and Leonard E. Coulombe. Pauline graduated from Bob Jones University, Greenville, SC in 1980 with a degree in elementary education. In 1998 she completed her Advanced-Level Certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology from Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC. Pauline worked as Nuclear Medicine Technologist since 1998 for various hospitals around the United States and as a Nuclear Pharmacy Technician in Easley, SC from 1993 - 1997. She enjoyed the field of Nuclear Medicine and the challenges it presented. She loved traveling, meeting new people, reading and spending time with her daughter and husband. The family includes her husband, Steven Berkebile of Fort Wayne, IN; her daughter Christina Michelle Fritch of Davie, FL; her parents, Leonard and Yvette Coulombe of Greenville, SC; her sisters Jeanine (Coulombe) Vollnogle of Greenville, SC and Anne (Coulombe) Pyles of Palmer, AK; her brother Leonard G. Coulombe of Sanford, FL; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grandnephews. A funeral service is being held 2:00 PM Tuesday at All Saints Episcopal Church, 333 Tarpon Dr, Ft. Lauderdale. FAIRHAVEN -- Theresa C. (Dansereau) Souza, 75, of Fairhaven, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was the widow of Paul C. Souza. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Marie Antoinette (Menard) Dansereau. She lived in Fairhaven 21 years and was a communicant of St. Mary Church, New Bedford. She was employed by the Carriage Inn as a waitress until her retirement. Mrs. Souza enjoyed playing bingo, Foxwoods and playing cards but especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Naomi C. Santos and her husband, Craig, of Fairhaven; two brothers, George O. Dansereau of New Bedford, Rene Dansereau of Acushnet; two grandchildren; a godchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Paul Dansereau. Alice (DeLude) Wohlschlaeger, of Manchester, wife of the late John J. Wohlschlaeger, entered eternal life with her family by her side on Saturday (February 5, 2005). She was born in Willimantic, the daughter of the late Julian and Amanda (Cote) DeLude. As the wife of a Navy officer, Alice was fortunate to experience life in many corners of the world. She was an avid golf player and proud of her six holes-in-one. Upon retirement, Alice lived in Largo, FL until her return to Manchester, in 1993. She leaves behind her niece, Ann Wallace of Middletown; and her nephew, James DeLude of Meriden, who lovingly cared for her; she also leaves several other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Donat and Joseph DeLude; her sisters, Donalda Lussier and Beatrice McMurray; and her niece, Therese Crevier. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, February 10, at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 310 Westfield St., Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Largo, FL. Dolores J. (Fazekas) Girard, age 71, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Roger D. Girard, entered eternal life on Monday, February 7, 2005, at Lord Chamberlain Nursing Facility, Stratford. Mrs. Girard was born on April 29, 1933, in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Jacobs) Fazekas, and had been a lifetime area resident. She was employed at Station House Square Restaurant and most recently at Arts, both in Stratford Center. She was the co-founder and former owner of Imperial Package Store of Milford. Survivors include her three daughters, Gina Marie Collins of West Roxbury, Mass., Louise Roach of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Suzette J. Girard of Stratford; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, February 10, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. in the William R. CHELMSFORD, MASS.--Louis Edwin Gallant, a long-time resident of Milan, NH, died at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford, MA, on February 5. Born in Berlin, NH, on June 3, 1916, he was one of seven children of the late John J. Gallant and Sarah Linnell Gallant. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1935 and began working for Brown Paper Company shortly thereafter. He married Jean Enman in 1943 and moved to Milan, where they raised their two children. He retired from his position as Supervisor of Maintenance at the Cascade Mill division of Brown Paper Company in 1979. Through the years, Louis particularly enjoyed camping with his family, keeping his large lawn in beautiful condition and tending his vegetable garden. He was also an avid walker and hiker who belonged to a small group of men called the “Over the Hill Hikers.” All in their seventies, they hiked the trails of the beautiful White Mountains. His pride and joy were his two children and two grandsons.Louis is survived by his wife, Jean E. Gallant, of Acton, MA; his son, Leon E. Gallant, and wife Marylin of Pepperell, MA; his daughter, Leslee Gallant Gragg, of Townsend, MA; his brother, Philip Gallant, and wife Evelyn of Bow, NH; and his two grandsons, Jesse Gallant and Adam Gragg.Louis was a faithful member of the Milan United Methodist Church since 1950, serving as usher, greeter and volunteer janitor and helping wherever he could. Frederick Willius Lucian Landry, age 50 years, died at his Chattanooga, Tennessee home, on Monday morning, February 7, 2005, after a long battle with cancer. Edna L. Fijal, 77, of Bloomfield, widow of Joseph W. Fijal, Jr., died Sunday, (February 6, 2005) at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Manchester, NH, daughter of the late Lucien and Yvonne (Bergeron) Lavigne, she lived in Simsbury and Bloomfield for over 50 years. She had been employed many years as the switchboard operator at Mt. Sinai Hospital and retired from the Connecticut Housing and Finance Authority. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Bloomfield. She leaves four sons and their wives John and Linda Fijal of Northford, Robert and Janice Fijal of East Granby, Alan and Elizabeth Fijal of Clifton Park, NJ, and Joseph Fijal III and Jane of Dayville; a daughter Marie and her husband James Caruso of Granby; two brothers Leo Lavigne of Simsbury and Donald Lavigne of Enfield; four sisters Simone Tellier of Simsbury, Violette Hyland of Florida, Rolande Kash of Webster, MA, and Irene Piechowski of South Windsor; and 13 grandchildren Craig, Scott, Carrie, Rachel, Jonathan, Beth, Thomas and Julie Fijal; Jenna, Lisa, and Erin Caruso; and Michelle and Rhonda Fijal. CLARENCE E. NOLIN NEWPORT — Clarence E. Nolin, 87, of Newport passed away in Newport on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005. He was born in Underhill on Oct. 20, 1917, the son of J. C. and Mabel F. (Farrell) Nolin. Clarence was a graduate of Jericho High School and Champlain Business College. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II, earning the Good Conduct Medal, the Victory Medal, and the Bronze Service Star. He worked for many years for the U.S. Customs Service. Clarence was a member and former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed watching Boston Red Sox games and going to daily Mass. On April 24, 1948, Clarence married the former Domina Balich, who survives him. He is also survived by his daughters, Joanne Nolin of Newport, Mary Nolin of Derby, and Patricia Nolin of Reston, Va.; his grandchildren, Laura, and Chris and his wife Nancie; his sister, Geraldean Darby; and sisters-in-law, Madeleine Nolin and Geraldine Calcagni. He was predeceased by his sister, Ellyn Racine and by his brothers, James and Bernard. BALLSTON SPA NY -- Kathleen A. Daignault, 55, of Old Post Road, Ballston Spa, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2005 at her home. Born August 25, 1949 in Mount Morris, N.Y., she was the daughter of John and Sophie Panek. Kathleen was a dedicated and loved teacher in the Waterford-Halfmoon School District for many years. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Saratoga Springs and enjoyed gardening, sewing and loved animals. She was predeceased by her father, John Panek and two daughters, Lori and Marcy Daignault Survivors include her daughter, Beth Karhan and her husband David of Averill Park; two grandchildren, Zachary and Rachel Karhan; husband, Marc Daignault of Edinburg; mother, Sophie Panek of Saratoga Springs; two sisters, Gloria Hallenbeck of Ohio and Mary Jane Vadney of Feura Bush. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Robert L. Pouliot, age 52, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2005 at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin, NH, following a long struggle with AIDS which began in 1987.He was born in Berlin, NH on July 5, 1952, the son of Hector J. and Dorothy Y. (Lambert) Pouliot.Formerly of Berlin, NH, Robert had resided in Boulder, Colorado from l973 to 1978, and then moved to San Francisco, California where he had lived until November 19, 2004. He had been employed as a Paralegal with McCutchin, Emerson, and Doyle, Attorneys at Law in California. He was a Graduate of Notre Dame High School, Class of 1971. He will be remembered for his zest for life, and his sharing of his love for Art & Music. His style and natural ability to make people laugh will be truly missed by those who loved him.He is survived by his father, Hector J. FRANKLIN - Cecile M. Dickinson, 91, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen. She was born in Franklin on Dec. 18, 1913, the daughter of Edward and Eva (Doucette) Rayno. She was raised in Salisbury and resided in Franklin most of her life. She was formerly of Edwards Street in Franklin. Several years ago, Mrs. Dickinson was employed at the former JP Stevens Co. and the former Sulloway Hosiery Co. She later worked at Webster Valve in Franklin prior to retiring. Mrs. Dickinson was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Annie Nesmith, and she was a communicant of St. Paul Church. She was predeceased by her first husband, Herbert Fraser; her second husband, Darrell Andrews, who died in 1948; and her last husband, Crawford Dickinson. Family members include a son, Robert Andrews of Fredericksburg, Va.; two grandchildren, Scott Avery of Ashburnham, Mass., and Beth Morrill of Franklin; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Alberta Davidson of Northfield; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Andrews, who died in 2004; two brothers, Andrew Rayno and Albert Rayno; and a sister, Irene Rayno. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church in Franklin. Burial will be held in the spring at Franklin Cemetery in Franklin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Payson Center for Cancer Care at Concord Hospital, in memory of Richard D. Andrews, 250 Pleasant St., Concord 03301. SOLDIER POND - Ernestine Beaulieu, 86, died peacefully amongst her family Feb. 7, 2005, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. She was born Jan. 8, 1919, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Benoit and Mattie (Babin) Voisine. Ernestine was a past member of the Ladies of St. Anne in Wallagrass. She is survived by one daughter, Rena Daigle and her husband, Richard, of Bristol, Conn.; five sons, Carl and his wife, Ann, of Soldier Pond, Harold of Soldier Pond, Dana and his wife, Hilda, of Soldier Pond, Rodney and his wife, Ellen, of Plantsville, Conn. and Alan and his wife, Lucy, of Soldier Pond; two sisters, Theresa Nadeau of New Britian, Conn. and Jeanette Theriault of Fort Kent; five grandsons, five granddaughters, four great-grandsons, four great-granddaughters, many nieces and nephews. In addition to both her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Beaulieu in 2004; by two daughters, Jennie in 1949 and Ellen in 1960; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce in 1995; grandson, Marc in 1996; and one son, Roland in 2004. She was also predeceased by several brothers and one sister. Friends may call 9 a.m. Thursday until time of departure for Soldier Pond, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Soldier Pond, with the Rev. Bill Labbe officiating. Spring burial will be May 16, 2005, in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Soldier Pond. OEHLER, Harald Passed away peacefully, with his wife and friends at his side, at the Kingston General Hospital on Sunday, February 6, 2005, after a brief battle with cancer. Harald Oehler, age 63, beloved husband of Barbara (nee Schuster). Loving fat her of Sandra and Robert (Ottawa). Predeceased by his parents Erwin and Anni Oehler. Brother of Peter (Anneliese), Wolfgang (Erika), Christa Schuster (Walter), Gerhard (Ingrid) and Herbert. LASHBROOK, Sterling Kenneth In loving memory of Sterling Lashbrook, 72 years, of Val Caron, who passed away Saturday evening, February 5, 2005 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Center. He was born in Parry Sound and married Dorothy (Brown) in 1956 in Parry Sound. Sterling came to Valley East in 1960 from Parry Sound. He was a shift boss at the Copper Cliff Smelter, retiring from INCO in 1989 with 29 years service. He enjoyed travelling and he had a passion for fixing cars. He will be remembered as a very determined man who would never compromise his values and often viewed the world in black and white terms. Sterling also had a wonderful sense of humour. He was devoted to his loving family especially his grandchildren and precious great-grandson Ryan. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Brown) Lashbrook of Val Caron. Loving father of Laura Lashbrook and Christine Regaudie both predeceased, Robert Lashbrook (wife Georgette) of Hanmer and Michael Lashbrook of Blezard Valley. Born in Lowell, she lived in Foxboro before moving to Wareham 25 years ago. Mrs. Jones was a communicant of the Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene in Wareham. She worked as a registered nurse in several state hospitals before retiring in 1970. Survivors include a son, Gregory Jones of Nevada; two daughters, Valerie Paul of Florida and Beverly Nelson of New York; two brothers, Leonard Perron of Michigan, Nelson Perron of Maine; two sisters, Louise Jiatas of Yarmouth and Ruth Cameron of California; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. RIVAIS, Charmaine "Joe" (nee Leclair) In loving memory of Charmaine Rivais, 74 years, who passed away Friday, February 4, 2005 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Center. She was born in Ottawa and married Leonard Rivais in 1947 in Coniston. A life resident of Coniston, Charmaine was a Roman Catholic who attended St. Paul the Apostle Church and she belonged to the parish CWL. She was a member of the Club Allegri Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed darts and playing bingo. A people person, Joe was a social butterfly sharing her gift of conversation and hospitality with neighbours and friends. Liana was a loving mother and best friend to her children and to all who had the pleasure of knowing her and shared her joy of cooking. CHARLES F. ARCHAMBEAU, USAF retired, passed away 4 Feb. 2005, following a long battle with cancer. Born 2 Sep. 1931, in Saxon, Wisc. "Chuck" graduated from high school and entered the Air Force and made it a 24 year career. In addition to stateside assignments he had served in Italy, Japan and Viet Nam. In addition to numerous decorations Msgt. Archambeau was awarded the Bronze Star with the Valor "V" attached, while serving in Viet Nam. Chuck reti red from Norton AFB and became a well known and highly respected real estate agent for several reputable local agencies for the next fifteen years in San Bernardino. Chuck's personal life cocsisted of a beautiful 47 year marriage to his lovely "Loyce" (deceased), and four fine children; daughter, Rhonda, son, Charles P. (both deceased), Micah and Alan Archambeau, sons, both of San Bernardino. Chuck has spent many years as a loyal and valued member of the American Legion Highland Post 421, Veterans of For eign Wars Moreno Valley Post 8547 and Fraternal Order of Eagles San Bernardino Aerie 506. In addition, Chuck had devoted his life to his family as a loving husband, father, grand father and great grandfather. Preceding Charles in death were his parents, Charles and Evelyn Archambeau, sisters, Virginia Gehrmann, Mary Myers and Leslie McLaughlin Healy. Survived by grandchildren, Mathew C. Marks, Evan, Shey, Ryan, Abrah, Micah Masterson and Alexandra Archambeau; great grandchildren, Madison and Landon Marks . DULAC, MRS. THERESE C. (AUDET), died Saturday, February 5, 2005 at home on Providence St. in Woonsocket. A 37 year resident of Woonsocket she was the wife of 44 years to Paul E. Dulac. Born July 27, 1937 in Providence, RI she was the daughter of the late Labruere and Armandine (Dauphinais) Audet. She is survived by four sons, Raymond of Millville, MA, Richard of Harrisville, Roland of Woonsocket and Ronald Dulac of Tiverton, and one daughter Diane Varieur of Pascoag. She also leaves seven grandchildren.She retired in 2002 after 15 years as a Teacher's Assistant from Second Avenue School in Woonsocket.Her funeral is Saturday at 9 a.m. from The Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Carol Ann Bonneau Dakin Roberts, age 66, of Whisconier Rd., Brookfield, died Sunday, February 6, 2005 at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Port Chester, NY, December 19, 1938 a daughter of the late Alphonse and Alice Whiffen Bonneau. She was a resident of Danbury, Bethel and Brookfield for the past 45 years, and worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Ditron, Inc. in Stormville, NY for 25 years before her retirement. Carol Ann is survived by her son, James E. Dakin, of Mountain City, Tenn.; three daughters: Cindy L.. Presnell and her husband James, of Guyton, Ga.; Christy L. Yoder and her husband James, of New Milford; Jeanine M. Elwell and her husband Tim, of Brookfield; a sister: Doris J. Dinkler, of Perkinsville, Vt.; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter, as well as a niece and nephew. She is also survived by her former husband, Edward Christian Roberts. WHITE, Shirley Marie (Murphy) 1932-2005 Fearfully, this vessel may not weather another storm; so I now bid my fond farewells to: Westport, my home for twenty years and all who influenced my growth and nurtured my spirit; my colleagues at the Bank of Montreal in Kingston where I spent a short time; the community at Black Lake near Stanleyville which entrusted its children to me for the two years I taught there; the staff, students and parents of Elizabeth Park Public School R.C.A.F. Uplands for t hree good years; Kingston for the last forty-six years and the staff, students and parents of the Frontenac Lennox and Addington County Roman Catholic Separate School Board where I was influenced by so many wonderful people who enriched my soul and m ade my journey smoother; the many health workers and family who have treated me with kindness, dignity and respect; and the many people who repaired and maintained our home. You know who you are, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. May we me et again. Shirley died peacefully on February 4, 2005 at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital surrounded by her family after a life of caring and generosity. She will be deeply missed by husband Frank, son Steve, daughters Cathy and Anne (Robert Mackett) and grandchildren Michael, Stephen and Katie. Shirley will be sadly missed by sisters Ena, Connie, Kaye and Anne and by her brother Chris. She was predeceased by her parents W.K. and Marj Murphy and by her brother Gary. Lorne Donald Legere 1924 - 2005 SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Lorne Legere, age 80, of Sackville, NB occurred on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at the Drew Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness. Born in Sackville, NB on May 14, 1924, he was the son of the late Edmee (nee Legere) and Mathias Legere. Lorne was a veteran of WWII having served with the Algonquin Regiment in France, Holland, Belgium and Germany, and is a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #26, Sackville.
