FAWCETT, Harold Lloyd Passed away at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, on Sunday, January 30, 2005. Lloyd, eldest son of the late Bert and Lucinda Fawcett. ERRECARET, Jean Baptiste April 5, 1928 - January 30, 2005 Passed away on January 30, 2005 at the age of 76 with his loving spouse Brenda by his side at his villa in Mijas, Spain. He leaves to mourn his family in France, and many friends in Canada, Australia and Spain, where he has lived for the past 18 years. He will be very fondly remembered by Patricia Parkin Errecaret (Mont Ste. Marie and Australia). The first Ski School Director and Area Manager at Mont Ste. Marie, Jean brought his Basque panache with him to Canada. He will always be remembered as an athlete, an elegant skier, and a mentor who inspired others to be the best that they could be - whether teaching others, ski racing or living life. He has a special place in the hearts of his first proteges Yves Alie, Stanley Christensen and Rusty Smart, all of whom visited Jean in Spain several times over the years. He will also be remembered by many friends and acquaintances in their stories of the early years of Mont Ste. Marie. His unique joie de vivre, laughter, love of good food, and charming naughtiness will never be forgotten. Jean will be laid to rest in his hometown of Licq Atherey in the French Pyrenees. LANE, Gwendolyn Teresa (nee Doyle) Born February 23, 1927, passed away January 28, 2005. She was predeceased by her beloved husband William Richard Lane in November 1998. She leaves her loving and loved six children; Janice Ann (Michel Desjardins), Catherine Hutton, Michael (Dale), John (Jill), William and Carole (Mark Graham); eight grandchildren, Sean, Erin, Richard, Megan, Ashley, Erik, Jeremy and Sydney, all of whom she loved very much. She also leaves a brother, Douglas Doyle of Belleville, Ontario, and a sister-in-law Joan Leidl of Vancouver and Jan Doyle of Ottawa. She was an avid bridge player and loved gardening, hiking and loved being with her friends. She truly loved the mountains and water and was so grateful for her beloved husband, Bill, bringing her to this beautiful part of the world. Now they will be together forever. A funeral service will be held, Wednesday, February 2, 2005, at 2:00 pm at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4725 Falaise Dr., Victoria BC. Daughter of the late Frederick Smith and Frances Agnes Annie Ashby. Wife of the late John Edward O'Reilly and sadly predeceased by her children Brian and Sheila (Mrs. Alfred Wing). She will be missed by her grandchildren Niall (Terri Rothman), Sean (Jennifer Bowman) and Susan O'Reilly, Linda (Mrs. Ted Moysey), Sandra (Mrs. Peter Kirkpatrick), Carol Wing and her great-grandchildren Timothy, Jeffery, Craig, Heather and Charlotte. She was a long-time employee of Bell Canada, in labour relations, active in the United Church and noted for her handicrafts. Lovingly cared for by her daughter-in-law Judy O'Reilly and grandchildren Sean and Susan for the past 35 years in Ottawa. We will miss her and she will be forever in our hearts. Dear brother of Cecile Paquin (Merv), John Martel (Germaine), of Cornwall, Simone Martin (Leroy) of Hollywood, Florida, Pierrette Pierce (Bob) of Petawawa and predeceased by one brother Gerald Martel. NEW BEDFORD -- Simonne (Aillery) Fisher, 92, died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the widow of Harold C. Fisher. Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Constant J.M. and Eugenie (Fougeront) Aillery, she moved to Fairhaven in 1966 and spent the past seven years at Sacred Heart Nursing Home. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph Church, Fairhaven. Mrs. Fisher graduated from St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in 1934. She was a registered nurse for many years and was a member of the St. Luke's Alumni Association. She liked to knit, crochet, read, cook and garden and loved flowers and the Red Sox. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including Eugene Aillery of Fairhaven; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a dear friend, Maureen Kendall of Fairhaven. She was the sister of the late Constant, Marcel P. and Paul Aillery. Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Sacred Heart Nursing Home Chapel. Burial will follow in River-Side Cemetery, Fairhaven. Arrangements are by the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.

Henry J. Beliveau, 89, of Bedford, formerly of Manchester, NH, died January 29, 2005 at a local health care facility after a period of declining health. He was born in Manchester on July 11, 1915, the son of Henry J. and Lucina (Langlois) Beliveau. He was educated in the local schools. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a union carpenter. He was a former parishioner of St Catherine Church and had most recently been a communicant at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford. He was a member of the Legion of 1000 Men of the Monastery of the Precious Blood. He was pre-deceased by his wife Yvette R. (Courchesne) Beliveau in 1997. Members of his family include a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Constance) Lavoie of Bedford; a son, Richard P. Beliveau of Tamarac, FL; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jeanne Gagnon of Manchester; nephews and nieces. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Seton Church on Tuesday February 1, 2005. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. David W. BOISSEAU' M.D. -- David W. Boisseau died on January 22, 2005 at his beloved second home in Montana surrounded by his devoted family. Dr. Boisseau is remembered by his wife Ruth, his four children, Cheryl, David, Philip and Renée, as well as their spouses, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Dr. Boisseau practiced pediatrics in the Seattle and Bellevue area for 58 years. He taught anatomy and physiology at Seattle University, was a member of the King County Medical Society, the College Club of Seattle, Overlake Golf and Country Club, and a member of the Medical Division of the Northwest Ski Patrol. WESTFIELD - Harry "Pete" St. Amand, 49, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2005 at the Western Mass. after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and close friends. During his illness Pete never complained and faced his difficult journey with dignity, humor, and most of all great courage. He was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey and raised in Olympia, Washington where he attended local schools. He is the son of Harry St. Amand of Reedsport, OR and the late Elaine (Parce) St. Amand. Upon discharge from the United States Navy in 1978 he settled in Westfield where he made many friends and enjoyed many things including music, fishing, golf, books and laughter. He was employed by C.H. Dexter Corp./Alhstrom of Windsor Locks, CT for 20 years as a power plant operator. Pete is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sheree (Kenyon) St. Amand; and two children, his best friend and son Zachary T. St. Amand and his wife Heather of Land O Lakes, FL, a daughter and Red Sox buddy Moira who lives at home; and a grandson Nolan who continues the circle of life for us also of Land O Lakes, FL. Pete leaves a sister, Kim Mathews and her husband Matt of Olympia, WA; two brothers, Carter St. Amand and his wife Joni of Idaho, Wade St. Amand and his wife Carol of Olympia, WA; and a special uncle, William St. Amand of Olympia, WA. He also leaves his dear friend and father-in-law Bruce D. Kenyon, Sr. and his mother-in-law Carolyn of Westfield; a sister-in-law, Kimberly C. Hess and her husband Daniel of Southwick; a brother-in-law, B. Donald Kenyon, Jr. of Springfield; as well as several nieces and nephews, and two special friends, Karen Kieda and Brian Houliha, both of Westfield. Our family would like to thank all of the family and friends who helped carry us through this difficult time. We are beyond grateful to those people who did so much and enriched our lives greatly. Annabelle Bernard-Mercker, a renowned opera singer was summoned by the grand conductor of the heavenly operatic choir, on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Ochsner Hospital. Mrs. Mercker was the devoted wife of 35 years to Karl-Ernst Mercker. She was the sister of Alfred Bernard, Chief Judge Joan Bernard-Armstrong and Florence Bernard-James. Aunt of three nephews: Andre Bernard, G. Karl Bernard and David Armstrong; and one niece, Anna Armstrong-Alexander. Mrs. Mercker was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Harry Bernard and Clothilde Williams Bernard. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. MRS. MERCKER WOULD LIKE TO LEAVE THESE WORDS IN HER MEMORY To follow God's divine instructions we must keep our eyes focused to observe wonderful things and individuals with love in their hearts. Sister Mary Elise was a disciplined nun with much love in her heart for Xavier University students. She vocally trained her students in classical music; dedicating not only herself as a vocal music professor but also implanting discipline and character in her students. Sister Elise was a friend, mother, and professor to me for life. The training Sister Mary Elise started with me in college reflected the training my mother, Mrs. Clothilde Bernard, gave me at home and continued with my mentor, Mrs. Edith Stern. These women instilled in me things I have carried with me throughout my professional career. Because of these three exceptional women, I had the courage to rise above hypocrisy and, what seemed at the time, impossibilities, that through hard work became possible. I believe, however, that human beings are placed on a God-given path. Sister Mary Elise, Mrs. Stern and my mother were the necessary guides to lead me to my present and future life. When the curtain falls, our response to God will not be what part we played, but how well we played the part that was assigned to us. LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Mr. Paul J. Mercier, 63, formerly of Berlin, passed away Jan. 26, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born in March 1942, the son of Joseph and Mabel Mercier. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the James River Paper Mill for 33 years, working in the wood room department. He was a member of Local 75. He is survived by: his wife, Elizabeth Mercier; two step-daughters, Chrystal Castro and Kathleen Egan; three step-grandchildren; one sister, Doris (Mercier) Gauthier, wife of Larry Gauthier of Berlin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, seven brothers and two sisters.

Annie Desautels (née Miazga) July 26, 1925 - January 31, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Desjardins Funeral Chapel ANNIE DESAUTELS (Nee MIAZGA) On January 31st, 2005, at 6:00 a.m. Annie Desautels of Ste. Anne, MB passed away peacefully at the Ste. Anne Hospital, with her children by her side. Annie was predeceased by her devoted husband Roland on June 27, 1996; three brothers Joe, John and Paul, two sisters Mary and Nellie. Annie is survived by her thirteen children: Laurence (Norman), Lucette (Henry), Roger (Karla), Gerald (Lorraine), Laurent (Yvonne), Guy (Janet), Suzanne (Dave), Monique, Marlene (Gary), Sharon (Steve), Jacqueline (Gilbert), Jacques (Mona), Mark (Trish), 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves one sister Helen from Toronto. Mama was a natural at everything and anything she tried. She was very creative and had a wonderful but direct approach to family situations. Mama was the kind of Mom every child deserves. She was a Super Mom of her generation and certainly of the ones to come. She also enjoyed reading and taking her little companion Trixie for walks to the mailbox. As the end of her journey approached here on earth Mama was much looking towards her eternal life with her Saviour. As she took her last breath she was calm and peaceful as though she had experienced something truly exciting and extraordinary. We know she is in the arms of Jesus forever. Mama, when Papa died we know part of you died with him. It was so obvious to all of us, how much you missed him but now you will be reunited with that wonderful guy you were married to for 52 years.
