ROACH, Allan B.A., M.A. Welcomed into the arms of his Lord on October 11, 2004 while in the presence of his loving family, at 80 years of age. Devoted husband of the late Joyce Irene, R.N. (nee Bullen) (March 31st, 2004) for 57 years. Cherished father of Susan Cakebread, Tom and wife Anna Roach, Bob and wife Angela Roach, Rick Roach, Rebekah Roach, Cathy and husband Harry Wasylyk, Dan and wife Cindy Roach, Chris Roach, Jacqueline and husband Ed Caulfield. Loved son of the late Beatrice and Thomas Roach. LIZOTTE, Michel (Michael) 1952 - 2004 C'est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Michel, survenu le 8 octobre 2004. Il nous a été doucement enlevé par sa maladie qu'il a combattu avec force et courage. Époux bien-aimé de Irène, qui l'aimera et chérira toujours la vie qu'ils ont partagée. Père aimant et fier d'Eric et de Carina, qui tiendront à jamais une place dans leur coeur. Il ne sera jamais oublié par ses loyaux compagnons Snickers et Tansy. Peacefully taken from us, he fought his illness with courage and strength. Beloved husband of Irene, who will love him and cherish the life they shared always. Loving and proud father of Eric and Carina, who will hold him deep in their hearts forever. Never to be forgotten by his faithful companions Snickers and Tansy. Michael will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his mother Gloria, predeceased father Rene, sisters Christina (Jean-Guy), Diane (Bob), sister-in-law Linda (Henry), nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends. Né le 8 mars 1917 à Moncton, il était fils de feu Frank Magee et de feu Lucie Leger. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse depuis 54 ans, Bernadette (Gautreau) Magee; deux filles: Giselle (Paul) de Moncton et Claire (Barry) de Halifax; trois petits-enfants: Joël, Adèle et Lisanne; deux soeurs: Régina Savoie de Moncton et Margaret Godin de Montréal, un beau-frère, Freddy Gautreau (Doris); ses belles-soeurs: Nelda Gautreau, Edith Magee, Jeannine Magee, Georgette Magee et Claudette Magee, ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux. Il a été secrétaire du premier comité de la Société historique de la Vallée de Memramcook, ancien secrétaire du Irish Culture Association, directeur du Musée de Moncton, ancien président de S.O.N.A., du Club Acadien et du Club Beauséjour en 1960 et 1982. EGAN- Sr. Frances Monica (Rosemary) SNJM Died peacefully on October 7, 2004 at Holy Names Residence, Windsor at the age of 94 years. Sr. Frances was in her 71st year of Profession as a Sister of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. Born in Winnipeg, MB, Sr. Frances is predeceased by her parents Anthony Charles and Rose Mary (Lachapelle) as well as siblings Dorothy, Monica, Lawrence and Frances. Survived by cousins Michael Sullivan, CA, and Delores Harta, Ottawa, ON. Dear friend of Sr. Michaelene Ruszel, Ohio, USA. Sr. Frances entered the Sisters of the Holy Names in 1931 and professed her vows in 1933. As a Sister of the Holy Names, she taught school from 1933- 1965 in Montreal. She held a special place in the hearts of her students from Central and South America. Other ministries of Sr. Frances were within the Congregation as Superior of several convents and journeying with women becoming Sisters of Holy Names. From 1972 - 1986, she was involved in the parishes were she resided. In 1995, Sr. Frances transferred from the QC Province of Holy Names to the ON Province of Holy Names. The Sisters of the Holy Names are grateful for the many gifts shared by Sr. Frances with people of all ages throughout her life; students, Sisters in the community, family , neighbours and friends. Her gift to all of us was making life worth living. Resting at Holy Names Residence, 3140 Peter Street, Windsor, Ontario. Née à Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes en 1910, elle était fille de feu Paul Violette et de feu Nancy Michaud. Mme Dionne était membre des Filles d’Isabelle, du Mouvement des Femmes Chrétiennes et des dames de service de Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes. Elle laisse dans le deuil cinq filles, Carmen Caron et Marcella Desjardins de Bristol, Connecticut, Rinette Dionne et Andréanne Charon (Edmond) de Montréal et Berthe Landry (Clairmont) d’Edmundston, six fils, Gabriel et Gedeon de Bristol, Connecticut, Jacques (Diane), Réginald, Guildo (Dora) et Serge de Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, son gendre, Claude Charon, 36 petits-enfants, 57 arrière-petits-enfants, neuf arrière-arrière-petits-enfants, nombreux neveux et nièces. Elle a été précédée par une fille, Norma Charon et deux gendres, Gérard Caron et Odéo Desjardins. La dépouille mortelle est exposée au salon Guy O’Regan, 83, rue Saint-Antoine à Saint-Léonard. Ses funérailles auront lieu le vendredi 15 octobre à 16h en l’église de Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, et l’inhumation au cimetière paroissial. Les heures de visites le jeudi de 14h à 16h, et de 19h à 21h, et le vendredi de 14h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles. MARTIN, IDA LOUISE (1907 - 2004) - Heaven rejoiced as Ida was welcomed at the Gates by her nine siblings, her many friends and family who went on before. Ida passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thanksgiving Day, October 11, 2004. She was brought up in the Sussex area in her young life, and became a telephone operator for the Westfield Exchange back in the 1930's, after which she moved to Saint John West, where she resided on Queen Street for many years. After her husband died she spent nine years in Hillcrest Village and following that, nine years in Seely's Lodge for Seniors in Martinon. Ida was a member of Charlotte St. Baptist Church, which amalgamated with two other churches to become Hillcrest Baptist in Saint John West. She taught Sunday School, sang in the Senior Choir, worked in the Mission Band and served on many boards and ministries of the church. She held a Dominion Life Membership of the United Baptist Women's Missionary Society. Ida is survived by one daughter Barbara Ida (Martin) Huskins and her husband, Sterling; two grandchildren: Dr. Bonnie Huskins and Dr. Michael Boudreau, of Fredericton and Allan Huskins and his wife Heather, of Saint John. Plus many wonderful nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Maude (Lockhart) Friars, brothers Leonard, Aubrey, Ora, Garfield, George, James and Russell, and sisters Vera (Parker) and Marguerite (Fanjoy). The body will be resting at Castle (Fallsview), 309 Lancaster Avenue (634-1701). Visiting hours on Tuesday October 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 476 Lancaster Ave. at 11:00 am on Wednesday October 13. There will be visiting from 10:00 to 10:50 prior to the service. A reception will follow with interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens afterward. Contributions will be gratefully received for Gideon Bibles, Hillcrest Baptist Church, or the organization of choice.
