Jennie Isabelle Church SAINT JOHN, NB - Jennie Isabelle Church of Saint John, formerly of Petitcodiac and Salisbury, age 94, passed away, Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at the Carleton Kirk Lodge, Saint John. Born August 14, 1910 in Harewood, she was a daughter of the late Eastman D. and Rhoda C. (Killam) Demont. She was a member of the Bethany Pentecostal Church, Saint John. She is survived by a son, Donald Parlee (Lois) of Saint John; stepdaughter, June Aud of Moncton; stepsons, Ronald Church (Eunice) of Riverview, Donald Church (Daryl) of Halifax; sisters, Sadie McCully of Moncton, Celia Dobson of Petitcodiac; brother, Curtis Demont of Harewood; 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Wes Parlee; her second husband, Aaron Church; stepson, Gerald Church; sisters, Lena Gammon, Muriel Fowler, Stella Ogilvie, Edith McKay; brothers, Omer Demont, Basil Demont. Resting at Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac, with visiting hours on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral will be held from Armstrong's Funeral Home on Friday, October 8, 2004 at 11am, with Rev. Michael Aud officiating. Burial will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

NORTHRUP, GLENNIE M. - The death of Glennie M. Northrup, wife of the late Walter H. S. Northrup, occurred on October 5, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Anagance Ridge, Kings Co., she was the daughter of the late William and Jeanie (Bryce) McGibbon. She was a graduate of the Provincial Normal School teaching for over 37 years in Saint John and was a member of the NB Retired Teacher's Association. She was a member of Portland United Church and was a member of the I.O.D.E. Lady Moyra Poinsonby Chapter and the Beta Signa Phi. She was a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross. She is survived by her brothers Archibald and his wife Jean of Sussex, Gordon and his wife Pauline of Anagance, her sister Eris MacIntosh of Chatham, ON, and her sixteen nieces and nephews. Her sisters Bessie Elliot, Elsie Hunt and Jean Harper predeceased her. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. James A. Tingley James Arthur Tingley, 85, formerly of Royal Court, Riverview and Nixon, Colpitts Settlement passed away Tuesday October 5, 2004 at the K. E. Spencer Home, Moncton. Born in Lewisville, he was a son of the late Arthur and Eliza (McRae) Tingley. At age three, he moved with his family to the farm in Colpitts Settlement where he continued to live and farm until his retirement. In the early working years he also operated a trucking business hauling milk and cream to Sussex and pit props for the war effort. He was a road supervisor for Coverdale Parish and a County Councillor from 19521958. Jim was a Charter member of CoOperative Farm Services and served on their Board of Directors for forty years. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors for Maritime Co-Op. Jim was an active member and former Deacon of the Middlesex Baptist Church and with his generosity and assistance the Middlesex Cemetery was expanded and reorganized. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years Ivy (Mesheau); five daughters Gloria Jameson (Herbert), Joyce Quigley (Gerald) of Colpitts Settlement, Marilyn Hall (Cyril), Miramichi, Marlene Hickman (Robert), Dorchester, Janet Richard, Moncton; three sons, Ralph (Donna), Mark (Jacqueline) of Colpitts Settlement, Roger (Bonita), Charlestown WV., USA; a sister, Vera McFarlane; 26 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Douglas, Frank, John Edward and Earl; sisters, Bertha Hopper, Irene Hall; grandson, Jeffrey Hall. BONNEAU,, Roland Alcide 1926 - 2004 C'est avec tristesse que la famille de Roland Bonneau annonce son décès survenu le 1er octobre 2004, après une courte maladie vécue sereinement. Roland a été accompagné quotidiennement par ses proches qui lui ont prodigué soins et amour. Son épouse, Janine Gévry, ses enfants, Pierre (Diane Gervais), André (Johanne Thibault), Line et Manon (Onil Ouellet) et ses petits-enfants, Lysandre (fille de Louise Gagnon), Laurence et Claude-Ève, Florence et Julien (enfants de Martin Huel), Mélissa (Serge Lavoie), Annick (Eric Paquette) et Mathieu, son frère Marcel et sa soeur Laure, beaux-frères et belles-soeurs et autres membres de sa famille se souviendront d'un homme généreux et chaleureux. Ses nombreux amis de Saint-Lambert et, en particulier la « gang « du McDonald, appréciaient son amour des débats, sa curiosité et sa jovialité. Roland a participé à la communauté de Granby comme directeur gérant fondateur de la Caisse populaire St-Benoît, gérant du magasin de souvenirs du Jardin zoologique pendant plusieurs années et bénévole pour le Prêt d'Honneur. À Saint-Lambert, il a travaillé à plusieurs reprises pour Élections Canada. Sa carrière de 35 années au Ministère des Postes l'a amené à Granby, Saint-Hyacinthe, Lachine, Boucherville, Laval, Montréal, Québec et Ottawa. Tous ceux qui ont aimé et apprécié Roland sont conviés à une cérémonie religieuse qui aura lieu le samedi 9 octobre 2004 à 11 heures en l'Église St-Thomas d'Aquin, 311 rue St-Thomas à Saint-Lambert. La famille recevra les condoléances à l'église dès 10 heures. L'inhumation se fera dans la plus stricte intimité au cimetière de Farnham à une date ultérieure. Mr. Bernhard Bierwald July 24, 1923 - October 03, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Glenwood Funeral Home On October 3, 2004 Mr. Bernhard Bierwald of Edmonton passed away at the age of 81. He is survived by his sister Hildegard (Erwin) Brueggemann as well as nephews and nieces in Germany. Bernhard also has many friends in Edmonton, Glendon, St. Paul and Vilna to cherish his memories. Gerald H. Braam UPPER COVERDALE, NB - It is with great sadness that the family announce that Gerald Braam has lost his battle with cancer on Monday, October 4, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in the Netherlands on May 8, 1930, he and his bride, Annie married and immigrated to Canada in 1955 to pursue their love of farming. After farming Gerald joined D.H.A.S. as a milk tester and also worked part-time for Eastern Breeders. Gerald's greatest joy was watching his children grow into adulthood with families of their own. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Annie; six children, Henry (Shellay) of Leduc, A.B., Rita McKinley (Mark) of Riverview, John (Maria) of Saint John, Wilma Hicks (Bob) of Moncton, Janet Braam (Stan) of Toronto, Steven (Stacia) of Calgary; eight grandchildren, Marney Braam, Meaghan, Courtney and Matthew McKinley, Sarah and Eric Braam, Patrick and Katherine Hicks. Survived also by two sisters and a brother in the Netherlands, by a sisterin-law in the Netherlands and a sisterin-law in Hillsborough and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by five brothers and a sister. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Wednesday 6 to 9 p.m. Prayers and a memory celebration will be held at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Jude's Church in Salisbury on Thursday, October 7 at 11 a.m. Interment at Our Lady Of Mercy Cemetery, Leaman Hill. SAUNDERS, STANLEY - Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 2nd, 2004 in Tampa, Florida. He is survived by his mother Ida Mae (Ingrams) of New Mexico, wife Colleen (Edison) of Saint John, one daughter Tamara of Saint John, four sons, Stanley of Saint John, Terrance of Ont., Etienne and Jahraud of Fla.. He is also survived by one brother Marcellus (Linda) of New Mexico, one sister Josephine (Jimmy) Melvin of Fla., grandson Mekhi, plus several in Ontario and Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Marcellus and his brother, Charles Ingram. He has been entrusted to Hodges Family Funeral Home, 14046-5th Street, Dade City, Florida for cremation. A private memorial service will be held in Saint John at a later date.

Jo-Ann Gail Karst (née (nee Venne)) November 15, 1958 - October 03, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Howard & Mcbride Westlawn Chapel & Cemetery It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jo-Ann on Sunday, October 3, after a long and courageous battle with Leukemia. Jo-Ann died peacefully, surrounded by her family at the age of 45 at the University Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. She fought so hard to stay with us but in the end her body betrayed her spirit. Jo-Ann will always be cherished and missed by her husband, Wade, her three children, Tyler, Natalie and Travis. Her mother, Beatrice, her sisters, Sharon and Karen (Jacob); her brothers, Nelson (Brenda) and Derek. Her in-laws, Delores and Albert and her sister-in-law, Lori (Rick). She will also be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews and her many good friends especially Marla. Many thanks to Jo-Ann’s doctors, especially Dr. Larratt and her staff of residents, also Dr. Ritchie, Dr. Thai and Dr. Bigeham. We are also grateful to all the nursing staff at the University of Alberta Hospital, especially those on 5D4, who took such excellent care of Jo-Ann the many times she was hospitalized in the last two and a half years. The care and compassion shown by all who came in contact with Jo-Ann made it so much easier for her and her family to focus on what was important. A special thank you to Sharon, Jo-Ann’s big sister, for basically putting her life on hold for the past two years to take care of Jo-Ann and her family. Jo-Ann was predeceased by her father, Harry in 1988 and her youngest brother, Cecil in January, 2004. We draw comfort in knowing that they will all be together now, all free of pain. As per Jo-Ann’s wishes a non-denominational service will be held at Howard & McBride Westlawn Chapel, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, October 9. Le Frère Bernardin Morin, Oblat de Marie Immaculée est décédé à Richelieu, le 3 octobre 2004, à l’âge de 93 ans et 6 mois. Il était le fils de feu Pierre-Célestin Morin et de feu Marie-Anna Côté.
