Loved son of Lucy Larabie (nee Kasm) and Andre Larabie (Jean), all of Welland. Loving brother of Michael Larabie (Pauline) of St. Catharines. Born in Welland, John traveled the world as a freelance computer programmer. He resided in Toronto for some 16 years before moving to St. Catharines in 2002. John recently acquired his pilot's license and was in the final stages of his massage t herapist course in Burlington. His great love of unicorn's shall keep his kindred spirit forever mystical. Aimee LeBlanc PETITCODIAC, NB - Aimee LeBlanc, 79, of Petitcodiac passed away Sunday, September 26, 2004 at The Moncton Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Montreal, he was a son of the late Blair and Dometile (Gould) LeBlanc. Aimee retired as an orderly from the former Jordan Memorial Home with 35 years service and was a past Secretary-Treasurer with CUPE Local 1251. He attended St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in St. Joseph, NB, was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed woodworking. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 50 years, Arilda (Martin); cherished children, Brenda Sylvester (Michael) of New Port Richey, FL, Linda Crossman (Gary) of Moncton, Sandra MacNeil (Gerald) of Dartmouth, NS, Terry LeBlanc (Shelly) of Moncton; grandchildren, Michell, Corey, Nicole, Lucas and Raelyn; and a great grandson, Cameron; sisters, Zellie LeBlanc (Arthur) and Gertrude Legere (Roger) of St. Joseph, NB; and several nieces and nephews. Sharon A. Brantnall 1948 - 2004 HILLSBOROUGH, NB - Sharon Audrey Brantnall, 56, of Hillsborough, NB, passed away on September 26, 2004 at The Moncton City Hospital. Sharon was born in Hopewell Cape on June 3, 1948, the daughter of the late Vernon "Chick" Fownes and Esther (Fletcher) Fownes. Sharon was a member of the Salem United Baptist Church and belonged to the Women's Missionary Society. She worked as a cashier at Zellers before her retirement. She enjoyed helping her husband, Gary doing the mail route for Hillsborough and the surrounding areas. She was very crafty and loved to quilt, knit, crochet and do ceramics. Above all things Sharon loved spending time with her family and her grandsons were her pride and joy. She also was looking forward to having her first granddaughter who is expected soon. She loved life and always had a smile for everyone. She had a great sense of humour and was a special lady who will be missed by all who knew her. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed by her mother, Esther Fownes of Salem; her loving husband, Gary Brantnall of Hillsborough; daughter, Stacy Gallant (Wayne) of Fredericton, NB; son, Rick Brantnall (Bridgette) of Dieppe; two brothers, Brian Fownes (Heather) of Edgett's Landing, NB and Kevin Fownes (Christine) of Calgary, AB; and by her precious grandsons, Chandler, Cameron and Noah. She will also be sadly missed by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Vernon "Chick" Fownes in 1989. Leonard John McDonald August 14, 1936 - September 25, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) McDONALD, Leonard John - 68, Dartmouth, passed peacefully away after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family, in Dartmouth General Hospital, on Saturday, September 25, 2004. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Stan and Margaret McDonald. Leonard loved music and devoted much of his life to entertaining others. He was an accomplished and well known steel guitarist who played with many local bands at various venues. He also appeared on CBC television shows, including the popular "Country Time". Leonard also worked for the Stock Bus Company as a school bus driver for over 27 years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary E. (Leet) McDonald; daughters, Lenora (John) Blackburn, Eastern Passage; Barbara (John) Day, Porter's Lake; sons, Steve, Surrey, B.C.; Bob (Lori), Dartmouth; Bill, Ottawa, Ont.; Wayne (Sheila), Eastern Passage; brother, David (Lorretta), Halifax; sister, Judy (Cliff) Buss, Calgary, Alta.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a large number of relatives and friends. MORRISEY, Margaret, On Sunday, September 26, 2004, Margaret passed away at her home after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 66. Marg is survived by her dearest friends Dot Britton and Suzie Bowles. She will be sadly missed by her adopted family, Grace, Arlene, Skip and Chuck Keller and her sisters-in-law Freda, Jean and Florence as well as numerous nieces and nephews in the U.S.A. Marg was an avid five pin bowler and she dedicated most of thirty-five years to the Niagara Five Pin Bo wlers Association and to the Y.B.C. at Bowl-o-rama. Marg is to be inducted into the Ontario Five Pin Bowlers Hall of Fame this coming November 6th in Hamilton. She was also a member of the G.N.G.H. Auxiliary and was instrumental in helping that organ ization raise funds towards the hospitals new emergency department. SMART, MOLLIE The family of Mollie Smart regrets to announce her passing on September 20, 2004 after a period of ill health. Mollie died at the Palliative Care Unit of Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, New Brunswick with family members present. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1919, Mollie was the only daughter of Colin and Margaret MacDonald. She married Ernest Smart, with whom she parented 12 children. Mollie and Ern moved many times during his army career, including Halifax, Bedford and Springhill, Nova Scotia, Borden, Ontario and Fredericton, New Brunswick. They finally settled on Campobello Island, where Ern was transferred with Canada Customs. In her later years, Mollie resided in St. Andrews, New Brunswick. She was an active participant in the Catholic community throughout her life as well as the Ladies' Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion; in later years she made many more friends through her involvement in seniors' activities during her residence in St. Andrews. Mollie was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, her daughter, Margaret, and brother, William MacDonald. She is survived by 11 children: Bill, Colin, Mary Elizabeth, Christopher, Barbara, Patrick, Janet, John, Denyse, Valerie and Caroline; 25 grandchildren, and ten great grand children. Visitation and vigil prayers were held on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at the Church of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, St. Andrews, N.B. A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, September 23, 2004 followed by internment at St. Timothy's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Welshpool, Campobello Island. TAIT, JUNE GARNA The passing of June G. (Bruce) Tait of York Street, Fredericton occurred September 26, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, at the age of 90. Born in Hayesville, N.B. on May 26, 1914 , she was a daughter of the late Harold and Isabel Regina (Spencer) Bruce and wife of the late Harold E. Tait. She is survived by sons Loren (Dianna) Tait of Fredericton and Norman (Susan) Tait of Quispamsis, four grandchildren Heather and Krista Tait, Jason (Erin) Tait and Travis Tait, as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews. WOODWORTH, MAJOR (Dr.) RONALD WILLIS FRASER On Friday September 24, 2004, Major (Dr.) Ronald W. F. Woodworth, age 63 of Chetwynd, B.C. formerly of Fredericton passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Fredericton, he was the son of Inez (Fraser) Woodworth and the late Willis Woodworth. Ron was affiliated with the United Church of Canada and a dentist. Upon graduating from Fredericton High School he attended U.N.B. and graduated in 1966 where he then proceeded on to Dalhousie University Dental School graduating in 1970. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces Dental Corps retiring in 1978, also having done his Post Graduate Studies "General Dentistry" completing his studies in Fort Hood Texas 1976. He was a dentist on the H.M.C.S. Preserver stationed in Halifax, N.S. He sailed in the Marble Head Race on the Canadian Forces Sailboat "The Tuna" as well as held a private pilots license having flown coast to coast. He was a member of the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C., Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, American Academy of General Dentistry and Royal Canadian Legion. Surviving are his wife Viola (Vi) (Price) Woodworth, daughters Vicki Woodworth (Michael Smith) of Fredericton, Cindy Woodworth of Fredericton and Jamie Woodworth of Toronto, five grandchildren Bernadette, Caleb, Elijah, Elisha, and Yoninah, two aunts Gwen Abernethy and Bernice Colwell. GRAHAM, MYRTLE CHRISTINA The death of Myrtle Graham occurred at Windsor Court on Friday, September 24th, 2004. Born on June 8th, 1909 in Tay Creek, NB she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Ann (Leslie) Thomas and wife of the late Robert Graham. Myrtle enjoyed a long, rewarding teaching career and lived in Keswick Ridge, Mouth of Keswick and Nashwaaksis. She was also a member of the Anglican Church and a member of the Women's Institute. She is survived by a special nephew, Leslie Boulter (Bettie-Anne) of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Myrtle was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; her parents; brothers, C. Herbert Thomas and G. CLOWATER, PEARLE The death of Pearle Clowater of Quispamsis, occurred after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, September 24, 2004. Born in Holtville, in 1936, she was a daughter of the late Sandy and Jean (Banks) Reid. Pearle is survived by one son, Mark Clowater of Quispamsis; one daughter, Joy Clowater of Rothesay; two sisters, Eileen (Leslie) Amos of Doaktown, Mary (Jules) Rusonik of Ontario; two brothers, Stanley (Velma) Reid of Stanley, Murray Reid of Fredericton; two grandsons, Patrick (Amy) and David. She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Murray; two infant sons, Jimmy and Bruce; one brother, Arnold (Eileen) Reid and one sister, Elizabeth Fraser. There will be no visitation by request of the family. A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Tuesday, September 28, from St. James the Greater Anglican Church, Ludlow, with the Rev. David Titus officiating. An interment will take place following the service in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Holden was born in St. Thomas, Ont., a daughter of the late Gilbert and Myrtle (Grass) Clinansmith, and had resided in Saint John since 1948. WETMORE, LEONA A. - The death of Leona Ann Wetmore of the Carleton-Kirk Lodge Nursing Home, wife of the late Wilfred O. Wetmore, occurred peacefully on Friday, September 24, 2004, following a brief illness. Born in McAdam, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ann DeWitt. Mrs. Wetmore was a School Teacher and Principal at MacDonald Consolidated School for many years, as well as several other schools on the Kingston Peninsula before her retirement.
