Zahorchak, founder and owner of Canadian Odeon Theatres. Matriarch of the Zahorchak fami ly and loving mother of Robert (Daisy), Jessica (Dan Gryn), William (Debbie Frye) and Dennis (Shannon). Devoted grandmother (Baba) to eleven grandchildren; Lori Busse, Tamara, Elizabeth and Adam Zahorchak, Dee Krakalovich, Myshra and Mikol Zahorchak, Christopher, Leah, Rhiannon and Michael Zahorchak. Proud great-grandmother to Ashley, Robert, Michael and Travis Busse and Tyler Krakalovich. MARIE ELIZABETH HELENA HAVER It is with great sadness the family of Marie Haver announce her passing on Friday, Aug. 13, 2004 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. Marie was born Aug. 31, 1923 in Duck Lake, Sask. to Ivan and Sarah Brandrick. The family moved to Rainy River District in 1928. She attended school first in Burriss, Ont. and then nurses’ college in Calgary, Alta. Upon graduation, she worked in Cardston, Alta. and Inuvik, N.W.T. She retired and returned to Burriss in 1971. She was united in marriage to Arnold Edward Haver on June 23, 1973. Marie and Arnold travelled extensively following their marriage and truly enjoyed their time together. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, snowshoeing in the winter when she was able, photography, and wildlife (especially her “birds”). Marie also was very community-oriented, whether it was having tea with the ladies, keeping her journal, or just visiting with friends and family. She always looked forward to those times. She regretted having to miss the La Vallee centennial, especially the parade. Marie leaves behind her husband, Arnold; brothers, Eric Brandrick of Burriss, Ont., Henry Brandrick and wife, Sylvia, of Atikokan, Ont., and Ken Brandrick of Burriss, Ont.; brothers-in-law, Leonard Haver and Ronald Haver, both of Crozier, Ont., and Edward Haver and wife, Erna, of Little Pine Lake, Ont.; sisters-in-law, Nelly Jerry of Fort Frances, Ont. and Irene Hill-Haver of Crozier, Ont.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Ivan and Sarah Brandrick; brother, Pat (Bernard) Brandrick; sisters-in-law, Hazel, Lorna, Shirley, and Bonnie Brandrick, and Alma and Elvera Haver; and brothers-in-law, Norman Haver and Harley Jerry. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Friends may visit prior to the service. Fr. Wayne McIntosh will officiate, with interment in the Burriss Cemetery in the Township of La Vallee, Ont. The pallbearers will be her nephews, Rick Brandrick, Rob Brandrick, Jesse Brandrick, Albert Haver, Don Manty, Dwayne Sletmoen, and Dane Lowey. The honourary pallbearers will be all of Marie’s family and friends. If friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Wildlife Foundation of the Amethyst House.

Au Centre de santé Orléans le 8 août 2004, à l'âge de 84 ans et 10 mois est décédée dame Yolande Schiller, épouse de feu M. Albert Gagnon. Elle demeurait à Château-Richer. Selon ses volontés, elle a été confiée au crématorium pour incinération. Le service religieux sera célébré en présence des cendres le samedi 14 août à 10h, en l'église de Château-Richer, où les membres de la famille seront présents une heure avant la cérémonie pour recevoir les condoléances. Par la suite, les cendres seront déposées au cimetière paroissial. WEBBER, Jacqueline "Jackie" Violet (nee Pearson) In loving memory of Jacqueline (Jackie) Violet (nee Pearson) Webber of Sudbury who passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-Laurentian Site. Jackie was born in and was a lifelong resident of Sudbury. She was an elementary school teacher who taught at several rural and local Public Schools retiring in 1963 to devote herself to raising her family. During recent years she volunteered her time to the Older Adult Center. Jackie had a charming and magnetic personality who enjoyed making new acquaintances whenever the opportunity presented itself. Her gentle loving spirit will live on in all of the lives she touched. Daughter of the late Jack Pearson, predeceased 1977, and of the late Alice Pearson (nee Blakely) predeceased 1999. Beloved wife of 45 years of Sherman (Bud) Webber. Loving mother of Randy Webber of Milton, Ontario and Adam Webber of London, Ontario. McLintock, Marion Christie (nee Cowan) 1912-2004 Peacefully in her sleep at St. Patrick's Home, on Tuesday 10 August. Daughter of the late Agnes and George Cowan of Winnipeg, predeceased by sister Grace, brothers Charles, Harold and William and husband John McLintock. Dear mother of Mary McLintock (Don Smith) of Edmonton, Sheila Paul (Chris) of Waimate South Canterbury New Zealand, Ann McLintock (Tony Kittridge) and Gavin McLintock (Julie McDonald), of Ottawa. Loved grandmother of Geoffrey, Heather, Catherine, Samantha, Jessica, Ann-Marie, Scott, Chris, Mark and Joanna and great grandmother of Victoria, Samira, Rema, Nathan, Rachel and Samantha. Marion graduated from the University of Manitoba in Home Economics and worked in Winnipeg for several years until she married John in 1943. John's science career took them to Montreal, Winnipeg, Lethbridge, Ottawa (twice), Teheran Iran, and finally to Saskatoon where they retired in 1977. After retiring, they lived for two years in Vancouver before finally settling in Victoria where John passed away in 1982. Marion moved to Ottawa to be closer to family in 2001. Marion showed a great interest in a wide variety of subjects. She loved to read, play bridge and travel, visiting many parts of the world. She travelled to New Zealand 11 times "to see the grandchildren". During her life, she worked as a dietician, social worker, teacher and secretary in addition to raising a son and triplet daughters. She survived polio and breast cancer and, in later years, endured heart disease and leukemia. She often commented on what an interesting life she had had. The family would like to extend special thanks to the wonderful people at St. Patrick's home who cared for Marion so professionally and with such kindness during the last two months of her life. To honour Marion's life, a memorial service will be held in at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St. on Saturday, 14 August, 2004 at 11:30 am.
