Predeceased by her loving husband Garry Pryshlak (Garry's Service Center, Merivale Rd.). Dearest daughter of Lorraine McMahon and the late Gerald McMahon. Loving mother of Tracey Gamble and Barry. Cherished sister of Glenn, Bryan, David, Jocelyn Lundquist (Burbank, California) and Karen Norman. Caring Nana of Jamie, Johnathan, Andrew and Kayla. Cherished sister-in-law of Cydney Allen and dear daughter-in-law of Jusko "Joe" Pryshlak. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. BROADBRIDGE, Ada (Uren) nee Young At her home in Cobourg, Ontario on July 11, 2004 after a long and courageous battle against ill health. Former wife of the late Philip Uren. She is survived by a devoted husband, Arthur Broadbridge, 3 loving daughters - Marguerite Jeanne "Meg" (Uren) O'Connor (Robert), Claire (Uren) Brodie (Colin) and Janet Uren, and 2 step-daughters, Wendy (Broadbridge) Burnham and Jennifer Broadbridge. She was predeceased by a step-daughter Susan (Broadbridge) Carter. She is mourned by 5 grandchildren - Janet Elisabeth "Janibeth" Brodie Colins (Ian), Steven Sampert-O'Connor (Lisa), Margaret (Maggie) Brodie Fawcett (James), Andrew Brodie (Alison) and Christine (O'Connor) Bissonnette (Robert). Christine Bissonette has 2 children, Allison and Steven Gamble, and Wendy Burnham's 2 sons Christopher and Trevor Burnham. Only weeks before Ada's death a great-grandson, Holden Felix Sampert O'Connor, was born. "One generation cometh and another passeth away." The funeral will be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church, King Street, Cobourg on Wednesday, July 14, at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. Friends are invited afterwards to the Woodlawn Inn, Division Street. On Thursday, July 15, a service and interment will take place at 2 p.m. at Capital Memorial Gardens, Highway 16, Ottawa. BRATLEY, John "Jack" - It is with great sadness that the family ofÊ John "Jack" Theodore Bratley announce his death after a lengthy illness at the age of 82 years. Jack is survived by his loving wife Marjorie (Thompson) of 54 years, his devoted children Carolyn Gray (Dennis) of Hamilton and David (Olga) of St. Catharines, his grandchildren Marc and Laura Bratley of Niagara Falls and his sister Marian Bratley of Niagara Falls. He was predeceased by his parents Ethel and Jesse Bratley, longtime residents of Niagara Falls. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law and brothers-and-law: Bessie Barbaree of ÊFergus, Nancy Thompson of Listowel, Leota Thompson of Listowel, Shirley and Bill Engel of Waterloo and Earl Thompson of Toronto and a number of nieces and nephews. Jack was a proud graduate of Stamford Collegiate High School, and a life long member of Lundy's Lane United Church. Jack had worked in aggregate sales all his life, 27 years for Queenston Quarries (Steetley Industries) and 12 years as general manager of ÊNorjohn Contracting of Walker Industries. Jack had lots of hobbies. He liked photography, model railroading, pond gardening and driving the roads of ÊOntario. He will be remembered as someone who did it 'his way'. Special thanks to the staff of GNGH on the Trillium Ward and Unit D for their attentive care. Jack's family will receive friends at the Morse & Son Chapel of the Morgan Funeral Homes, 5917 Main Street on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be celebrated Thursday, in the chapel at 1 o'clock. Cremation will follow.

Jennie Bell SUSSEX, NB - Peacefully at the Sussex Health Centre in her 92nd year, surrounded by her family. Jennie was born in Butternut Ridge (Havelock) December 7, 1912. Jennie was the daughter of the late Robert and Alma (Geldart) Henry and the beloved wife of 35 years to the late Gordon Bell who passed away in 1976. Jennie is survived by her daughter, Sue Green and her husband Norm of Hammonds Plains, NS; her son, Vaughan and his wife Pat of Wards Creek; by her three much loved and loving grandchildren, Laine Green and his wife Erica of Bridgewater, NS, Emily Bell of Saint John and Johannes "Jan" Bell of Sussex; her brother, Jack Henry and his wife Kay of Apohaqui and by a number of nephews and nieces, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Jennie was predeceased by her brothers, Charles, Robert, Dean, Willard, George and Frank and by her sisters, Grace, Annie and Margaret. Jennie attended Ainsley College in Ottawa. In her youth she worked at Rothesay Collegiate. She was a long-time employee of Kings County Memorial Hospital retiring as Head of Housekeeping in 1976. She was a charter member of Sussex Reformed Baptist Church (Wesleyan). Jennie visited the Holy Land and enjoyed her cottage at Beulah. Iris Alta Fowler 1915 - 2004 Iris A. Fowler, 89, of ProTem Health Services, Mountain Rd. Moncton and formerly of Woodland Dr., passed away at ProTem Health Services on Monday, July 12, 2004. She was a former member of the Nursing Profession, having graduated from the Saint John General School of Nursing in 1937. Curling Association and she was a former member of the Moncton Golf and Country Club. She is survived by one daughter, Elaine Casey of Halifax, NS; one son, Mark and his wife, Jocelyn Fowler of Riverview; two sisters, Eileen Hall of New Hampshire, USA and Leah Fowler of London, ON; two brothers, Dr. Eric Hicks and his wife, Helen of Sussex, NB and Talmagde Hicks of Moncton; six grandchildren, Gregory Fowler (Linda), Richard Fowler (Clare), Jason Fowler (Nancy), Erin Casey (Henk VanLeeuwenk), Matthew Casey (Tracie) and Mark Casey; eight great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Hicks (Lorne) of Charlottetown, PEI and by several nieces and nephews. D'Aoust, Léo M. LÉO D'AOUST est décédé le samedi 10 juillet 2004 après une longue et ardue bataille contre le cancer, à l'âge de 86 ans. Il sera grandement regretté par son épouse de 64 ans, Simonne Bruyère; ses enfants: Diane Roy (feu Jean-Louis) et Denis (Doris); ses petits-enfants: Renée Bélanger, François (Diana) et Devon; ses arrière-petits-enfants: Zachary et Joshua Bélanger et Sebastian D'Aoust. Il laisse dans le deuil son frère Euclide (Agathe); plusieurs neveux, nièces, beaux-frères et belles-soeurs ainsi que de nombreux amis. Il était le fils de feu Joseph D'Aoust et de feu Diana Brisson. Il fut prédécédé par son frère Ovila (Adrienne) et Adrienne Devereaux (Frank). Léo fut champion de boxe poids-léger d'Ottawa en 1936; membre des Chevaliers de Colomb, 3e et 4e degré depuis 1947. Il a tenu le poste de Grand Chevalier et Fidèle Navigateur. Léo fut propriétaire de D'Aoust Hardware & Construction durant plusieurs années, pour ensuite prendre un poste d'officier de normes des propriétés à la ville d'Ottawa. De là, il a participé au développement des normes de propriétés pour la ville de Vanier. Il devint inspecteur de sécurité en construction pour la province d'Ontario, pour enfin retourner à la ville d'Ottawa où il reprit son poste d'inspecteur des normes de propriétés. Il prit sa retraite en 1983. La famille recevra parents et amis à la Maison funéraire Kelly, 2313, ave. Carling (Ouest de Carlingwood), samedi et dimanche de 14h à 17h et de 19h à 21h. Un service des Chevaliers de Colomb aura lieu dimanche à 19h30. La messe des funérailles aura lieu lundi en l'église St-Bonaventure à 10h, suivi de l'incinération au cimetière de l'Espoir. He worked for the Ontario Ministry of Labor as a construction safety inspector and then resumed his position of Property Standards Officer for the city of Ottawa retiring in 1983. Irene Ursula Wojcik September 21, 1945 - July 11, 2004 Peacefully on July 11, 2004, Irene Wojcik, beloved daughter of Jan Wojcik was taken into the loving arms of Our Father Lord and Savior to be reunited with her beloved mother Zofia Wojcik. Irene will be remembered and her gentle spirit cherished by her father Jan; brother John; sister Donna (Danuta); nephews Tim and Andrew Fiala, Sean and James Wojcik, Lynda and Janine Highway, aunt Ceceila Kania (Chicago), cousins John Kania (Florida), Donna Radkhowski, Lydia Favorite-Stappini and Ian Stappini (Portland, Oregon), Gena Stappini and Karl Stappini (Chicago) and Kris Hanc-Clark (New Hamphire). Irene was born September 21, 1945 in Schlupfing, Germany. She and her family began a new life in Canada when she was 5. She grew up in Winnipeg where she attended Holy Ghost School, St. Mary's Academy and Garden City Collegiate. In later years she attended part-time R.R.C.C.-Interior Design course. Many of her school mates became life-long friends. For 37 years she worked for the Manitoba Dept. of Highway's and Transportation and left her position only when her illness forced her to do so. Irene was a lover of nature and an avid camper. Each spring she looked forward to spending summer in her camper at Birds Hill Park. She took great pleasure in bringing her arts and crafts to her campsite, where she pursued creative activities she liked in a place that she loved. Nana had a keen sense of camping skills that were passed on to Tim, Andrew and Sean in their earlier years. Nana devoted her time and constant love to all her beloved nephews. Irene liked to travel and kept many photographs that reminded her of places she visited in the company of relatives and friends, all of whom were very important to her. Many will remember Irene as a person who took time to help others. She helped her friends and volunteered her time to work with organizations such as Variety Club during its annual telethon and in her earlier years, Girl Guides of Canada, where she shared her love of the outdoors with many young women for 14 years. She will be missed by all her faithful life-long friends who generously gave their time to bring comfort and laughter to her bedside : Donna Finkleman, Joan Bochniarz, Wanda Beszterda, Chris Holota, Chris Starak, Helen Burton (Lazowski), Christine Sauer, Margaret Roxburgh, Erna Braun, Ann Nemis, Huguette Letourneau (Ottawa), Leona Andrews, Tom McDermott, Chrissy Romanovych from Vegas and Mama - Mrs. Romanovych. She will also be missed by all her numerous co-workers of 37 years. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, July 15, 2004 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
