Lepage, Hermina MME HERMINA LEPAGE née Brière est décédée le dimanche 27 juin 2004, à l'âge de 90 ans. Elle était la fille de feu Émile Brière et de feu Éléda Piché; l'épouse bien-aimée de feu René Lepage. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Denise (Eugène Bisson), Colette (Gérard Lauzon), Suzanne (Tawfic Bizri) et Monique (Ken Desjardins). Elle laisse également ses 14 petits-enfants et ses 16 arrière-petits-enfants. Elle fut prédécédée par un frère, Lorenzo Brière. La famille aimerait remercier le personnel du la Villa Orléans pour les excellents soins prodigués. La direction des funérailles a été confiée à la MAISON FUNÉRAIRE RACINE, ROBERT & GAUTHIER, 180, ch. Montréal, Ottawa (241-3680). Les visites auront lieu le vendredi 2 juillet 2004 de 19h à 22h et à compter de 10h le samedi. SYLVESTRE, Arthur, F.I.C. (Frère Marcel-Émile) À l'Infirmerie provinciale de La Prairie, le 24 juin 2004, à l'âge de 80 ans, dont 64 années de vie religieuse, est décédé Frère Arthur Sylvestre (Frère Marcel-Émile), des Frères de l'Instruction chrétienne, fils de feu Bernardin Sylvestre et de feu Alda Vincent. Il est né à Saint-Norbert le 17 octobre 1923. Il entra au noviciat de Pointe-du-Lac le 1939 et fit profession perpétuelle en 1945. La carrière d'enseignant de Frère Arthur commença à Dolbeau en 1942 et se poursuivit pendant vingt-cinq ans dans différentes écoles de Trois-Rivières, Grand-Mère, Shawinigan, etc. Puis, pendant quatorze ans, il fut teneur de livres pour une librairie de sa communauté et enfin, il fut affecté à divers services à la maison St-Joseph jusqu'à son entrée à l'infirmerie en 2001. Malgré une santé délicate, Arthur s'est toujours imposé une activité débordante pour sa classe, pour l'aide à toute organisation de son entourage et pour l'assistance à ses parents âgés. Il était toujours disponible à aider même dans les tâches les plus pénibles. La famille et les membres de la communauté accueilleront parents et ami(e)s à la: Résidence funéraire Saint-Louis et fils ltée 2840, rue Notre-Dame, Pointe-du-Lac Heures d'accueil: mardi de 14 h 30 à 16 h 30 et de 19 à 21 h, mercredi, jour des funérailles, à partir de 13 h. WURTELE, Edith Jean. Passed away peacefully, at Fulford Residence, Montreal, June 26, 2004, age eighty-eight. Educated at Trafalgar School for Girls, Montreal, Jean also studied classical ballet. She studied and taught art. In 1940, Jean began nursing with the Canadian Red Cross Corps and served in England. After the war she worked for the Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service, and upon retirement helped the elderly. She was a member of the Penguin Ski Club, Twinski Club, and the Red Cross Overseas Club. Jean is survived by sisters Rhona Wurtele Gillis, Rhoda Wurtele Eaves, and the families of her brothers and sisters. Predeceased by brothers Edgar Louis Wurtele and George Hunter Wurtele, and parents Edith Douglas Fairweather Wurtele and John Stone Hunter Wurtele. The family gratefully acknowledges the kindness and excellent care accorded to Jean at Fulford House. CAREY, Robert "Bob" William, Passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 26, 2004 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of 50 years to Gillian (Costello) Carey. BLAIR, Aberdeen -1915-2004 - Passed away at North Bay General Hospital Scollard Site June 27th in his 89th year. He is survived by his daughter Connie Russell (Ian) of Callander, and son Bill of Edmonton. Two granddaughters Marni Lewis (Greg) of Pickering and Lesley of Richmond Hill. Predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Jean, in June 2002. Aberdeen was a Corporal with the Ontario Provincial Police for 25 years, serving in various Northern Ontario towns, before retiring in North Bay in 1975. At his request, there will be no visitation. Boudreau, Gyven - Mr. Gyven Louis Joseph Boudreau, 57 years, of Red Rock, Ontario passed away Friday June 25, 2004 at the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital, Nipigon, Ontario. Gyven was an avid athlete. He excelled as a hockey player and teacher and most recently enjoyed long distance running. He loved everything that the outdoors had to offer - hunting, boating and especially fishing for specs. Gyven was a caring and thoughtful person who dedicated himself generously throughout the community, especially when it come to the Kids in Minor Hockey. His happiest times were when he was with his wife, sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. That was his life. We will always love you. Predeceased by his father Fernand and his mother-in-law Ida Goulet; he is survived by his wife Joanne of Red Rock, by three sons - Steven (Shelley) and Kevin (Amy) both of red Rock and Gyven Jr. (Amber) of Thunder Bay, Ontario, four grandchildren - Brodie, Danielle and Carter, and Eric, by his mother Willemina Boudreau of Red Rock, by nine siblings - Gilles )Lauren) of Toronto, Ontario, Ron (Lynn) of Kamloops, British Columbia, Marcel (Nancy), Marie (Tim) Malley, Jeanette (Steve) Carruthers, and Daniel (Natalie) all of Red Rock, Raymond (Margie) of Powell River, British Columbia, Paul (Marg) of Stratford, Ontario and Louise (John) Zechner of Nipigon, by his father-in-law Maurice Goulet of Victoria, British Columbia. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. According to Gyven’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent, NB on February 11, 1912 and was the son of the late Camille Girouard and Marguerite Richard. He attended Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Girouard of Bouctouche; two daughters, Diana Allain (Léon), Aurella Vautour (Eric), both of Leominster, Mass.; one son Gerard (Rhéa) of Leominster, Mass.; one sister, Béatrice Beauregarde of St.-Petersburg, FL.; six grandchildren, Karen, Bobby, Ronny, Monique, Gary and Joanne; four great grandchildren, Adam, Chelsea, Mathew and Cierra; several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one sister, Emma and two brothers, Elias and Aurele. BELANGER - Mrs. Dorothy Elaine Belanger (10980 Westdown Road, Ladysmith, B.C. V9G 1X2) passed away on June 28th 2004, in Ladysmith Hospital with her family at her side. Dorothy (nee Johnson) was born in Port Arthur June 13, 1923 moving to B.C. in 1978. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of sixty years Herbert, sons Ronald (Faye), Douglas, daughters Sharon and Beverly, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, sisters Barbara (Tom) Posmituk (6383 Island Hwy, Qualicum Beach, B.C. V9K 2E2) and Lois Newman of Thunder Bay. Several nieces and nephews and cousins survive. Predeceased by her parents William and Norma Johnson and brother-in-law Lorne Newman. BRUNET, GILBERT- Gilbert Brunet of Innisfil, ON, formerly of Fredericton, passed away unexpectedly at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, ON on June 24, 2004. He is survived by his daughters Michelle Brunet (John F. Kennedy) of Mt. Albert, ON, Christine Brunet of France; his son Francois Brunet of France; brother Louis Brunet of France; his grandchildren Alex, Angelique, Stephane, Tony, and Lydia: and a sister-in-law Suzanne Brunet of France. Born in France, Gilbert immigrated to Canada in the 1950's and first lived in Alberta were he met his wife the late Nancy McLaughlin. The couple later moved to Fredericton. There Gilbert worked at a couple of automobile dealerships and was also the manager of several service stations. Sadly his wife Nancy passed away in 1987. Gilbert has been living in Ontario for the last several years to be closer to his daughter Michelle and his grandson Alex. Gilbert was a veteran of WWII and the last surviving member of the S.A.S. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home in Perth-Andover with visitation on Monday, 10-12 in the morning. TURPIN, Esther LeClerc, born April 1st, 1906 in Vernon, BC, passed away on June 23d, 2004 in Burnaby, BC at the age of 98. Esther was predeceased by her parents John Weston Turpin and Amy Wedd Turpin and her sister Amy Charlton Turpin. She is survived by first cousins Betty Wedd Mitchell, Garden Bay, BC, Dorothea Wedd Macdonnell, Edmonton, AB, Pamela Wedd Brown, Washington, DC, Betty Turpin Jacox, Vancouver, BC, Pamela Turpin Crawford, West Vancouver, BC; God-daughters Laurie Bobroske, Summerland, BC, Nan Ward, Toronto, ON and numerous Wedd and Turpin relatives in Canada, the USA, England and France. Esther was a former high school teacher and librarian, earning her degree at a time when few women went to university. She taught in Ontario for over 30 years, moving to BC on retirement, after which she and Amy enjoyed many trips throughout North America and Europe. She was active with charity work and was a longtime member of the Anglican Church Women's Group in New Westminster. A lasting gift to her family is the Wedd Family tree which she worked on for many years, mailing over 100 copies to family members all over the world. She had begun compiling material for the Turpin Family tree as well, but failing energy and eyesight left her unable to complete this. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 30th, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Cathedral, New Westminster. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.

BILoNI, John In loving memory of John Biloni, 75 years, who passed away Thursday, June 24, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-St Joseph's Health Center. John has many relatives in his birth place of Hungary. John loved hunting and fishing, and was an avid pigeon fancier, taking great pride in his accomplishments. John always took great pleasure in finding a "good deal". Sadly missed by his best pal and companion, his dog Sasha. John was a retired miner from Falconbridge Nickel Mine. He was a strong man physically, but showed his greatest strength at the end of his life, never complaining and grateful for the care he received. ROBICHAUD, SISTER DOROTHY M. - The death of Sister Dorothy M. Robichaud (Sr. Marguerita) occurred at Ruth Ross Residence on Saturday, June 26, 2004. Sister was born in Rexton, a daughter of the late Antoine and Mary (Clark) Robichaud. Sister Dorothy entered the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception on December 8, 1936. Sister served at the Infants' Home, Saint John; St. Patrick's Orphanage, Silver Falls; and St. Patrick's Orphanage, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Sister had also served at the Mater Misericordiae Home in Saint John and Mary's Home in Moncton. Sister later served in pastoral care at St. Joseph's Hospital and Centracare in Saint John. She was pre-deceased by four brothers, Leonard, George, Clarence, and William Robichaud; and four sisters, Miss Doreen Robichaud, Mrs. Myrtle Sawyer, Sister Evangeline Robichaud, S.C.I.C., and Mrs. Elizabeth Richard. Sister is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Grace Higgins (George) of Saint John, and Mrs. Alice Roberts (Lawrence) of River John, N.S.; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Ruth Ross Residence, Burpee Ave. with visiting on Saturday from 7 to 9 and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
