À Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, le 12 avril 2004, est décédée des suites d'une maladie soudaine, à l'âge de 70 ans, Mme Yolande Lamirande, fille de feu Rose Alma Perron et de feu Sylvio Lamirande, soeur de feu Réal Lamirande, épouse de feu Henry Hart. Selon ses souhaits, elle ne sera ni exposée, ni enterrée. Les funérailles auront lieu le samedi 26 juin, à 11h en l'église Saint-Sacrement de Trois-Rivières. Active in ecumenical efforts, awarded the degree of Doctor of Divinity (Honoris Causa) in 1989 from Knox College. After his initial retirement in 1991 served as interim minister in Hong Kong and the Niagara Region. Edmond is also survived by brothers, Joey (Mary), George (Doreen), Ontario; identical twin brother and best friend, Alphonse, McNab's Cove; sisters, Emma MacDonald, Mary Stone, both of Sydney; Annie (Laurie) Breau, St. Peter's. Mrs. Guignard was born in Bathurst, a daughter of the late Phillip and Leocadie (Doiron) Guignard, and had lived the greater part of her life in Saint John. She had been employed in the Housekeeping Dept. of St. Joseph's Hospital until her retirement a number of years ago. TOGNIDÉ, Denis À l'Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal, le 16 juin 2004, à l'âge de 50 ans, est décédé M. Denis Tognidé. Originaire du Bénin, il s'était intégré à la communauté québécoise et Montréalaise depuis 25 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil sa conjointe Dre Élisabeth Koundé, son fils Arnold ainsi que ses frères et soeurs, ses beaux-frères et belles-soeurs. Il laisse également dans la tristesse ses nombreux amis, tant en Afrique qu'au Canada, de même que ses collègues de travail chez Dessau-Soprin. Urbaniste de formation, il a fait ses études à l'Université de Montréal et a par la suite travaillé plus de quinze ans chez SNC-Lavallin à la réalisation de nombreux projets particulièrement en Afrique de l'Ouest. Il y a cinq ans, il a joint la firme Dessau-Soprin à titre de Vice-président Développement pour l'Afrique poste qu'il occupait lors de son décès. Personnalité attachante, Denis a su se faire de très nombreux amis en Afrique et au Canada au cours de sa brillante carrière.
