Loving father of Barbara (husband Tom Lloyd) of Falconbridge, Hume (wife Cynthia) of Delray Beach, Jean (husband David Thompson) of Winnipeg, Pat (husband Allan Rouhiainen) of Sudbury and Peter (wife Sheila) of North Palm Beach. Cherished grandfather of Tim (Sandy), David, Ellen (John Wismer), James (Sharon), Janet Consantino (Greg), Craig (Georgia), Joanne Newby (Loren), David (Sheri), Cathy Bolin (Grant) and Christopher (Jill) and great-grandchildren Evan, Peter, Scott, Kathleen, Megan, Christopher, Zachary, Emily, Sara, David, Rachel, Jilliam, Alexandra and Riley. Dear brother of Clarence of North Bay, Erma of Toronto, predeceased by Carl and Velma. Born in North Onslow, Quebec, he came to Sudbury in 1938. Manson was the owner of Sudbury News Service. He was a member of the Sudbury Masonic Lodge and Shrine Club. He was a past president of the Y.M.C.A., a member of First Baptist Church, and long time member of the Idylwylde Golf Club. PHILLIPS, Larry The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the age of 52 years. Beloved son of Lillian Phillips (née Gray) of Parry Sound and of the late Kenneth Phillips. Best friend and soul mate of Rosemary Whittaker of Sudbury. Loving father of Geoffrey Phillips (wife Kimberly) of Sudbury. Dear brother of Linda McAmmond (husband Dwight) of Edmonton, Angela Roberti (Claudio) and Wendy Phillips both of Sudbury and Alan Phillips of B.C. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Alexis and April, Ryan, Jessica, Skye, Paige and Andrew. Predeceased by his nephew, Matthew. He will also be sadly missed by his friends and sailing companions, Bill and Dawn Auger. Also survived by Rosemary's family, Gordon and Sandy Whittaker, John Whittaker, Jen and Dan Coursol. Predeceased by Susan Priest and Vera Whittaker. Mr. Phillips was a locomotive engineer with C.N.R. MULLEN, MARGARET (PEGGY) Passed away peacefully in her sleep after a short illness at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Tuesday, April 13th, 2004. Peggy Mullen in her 75th year. Beloved wife of Matthew (Matt) for 51 years. ALINE MARIE MacNEIL (nee Lambert) Born October 30, 1936 in St. Malo, MB passed away peacefully on April 12, 2004 in Winnipeg, MB. Lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Thomas and her son Garth. Aline was predeceased by her father Origene Lambert and her son Kenneth Bryan. She leaves to mourn her mother Albina Lambert (nee Malo); sisters, Helen and Yvette; brothers, Henrie and Pierre; many nieces and nephews. Aline began her nursing career in St-Pierre-Jolys in 1955. She graduated as an L.P.N. from St. Boniface Hospital. She took time off to raise a family. She went back to work at St. Boniface Hospital as an Emergency Room nurse, O.R.T., pre and post-operative care, and finished her career in geriatrics at Deer Lodge. The cremation is taking place and there will be no service at Aline's request. Friends who so desire may make donations, in lieu of flowers, to CancerCare Manitoba, MacCharles Unit, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. The family wishes to thank CancerCare Drs. G. An accomplished carpenter and woodworker Al had constructed complete houses including furnishings. He was a gifted musician in song and playing the guitar. HAYES, Beverley, Ione (nee Moxam) In loving memory of Beverley Ione Hayes, 70 years of Lively, who passed away Tuesday morning, April 13, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Center. She was born in Sudbury and married Carl Hayes in Niagara Falls in 1956. Beverley moved back to the Sudbury area in 1989 having resided previously for 25 years in Gaspé, Quebec. A graduate of the Toronto Bible College, she was a woman of great faith. She had been a missionary in Quebec. Presently she was a member of Lively Baptist Church. She had a wonderful gift for youth ministry, founding pioneer clubs and initiating various children's programs. She was a great friend and advocate for young people. An excellent cook especially baking, Beverley was a "jack-of-all-trades" in fixing things and helping others. She had a beautiful gift of music she shared in her singing and piano playing. The light of her life let people better see the Way of Christ and the love of her life will be cherished by family and friends. Beloved wife of Carl Hayes, predeceased 1985. SYLVIA EVELYN LAVALLEE (HEALE) Sylvia Evelyn Lavallee (Heale), aged 91 years, of the Middlechurch Home and formerly of 31 Burnaby Bay, Transcona, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, April 10, 2004 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Sylvia (Syb) was born April 5, 1913 in Lajord, SK to Josie and Jim Heale. She attended school in Viceroy, SK and and Gunton, MB. She served in the RCAF during the war and was discharged in 1946. She married Jack Lavallee on September 25, 1954 and together they resided at 31 Burnaby Bay until Jack's passing in 1974. Syb continued to live in Transcona caring for her mother. She worked as a secretary-typist for Fisher & Burpee and later at Federated Mutual Insurance where she retired. Syb loved bowling, music, shopping at Eatons and especially attending family functions. She was predeceased by her parents, Josie and Jim Heale; her brother Basil; her sister Coral and brother-in-law Bob Essery. She is survived by her brother Arthur Heale; his wife Vera and family of Richmond, BC. Syb will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by five nieces, Bonnie (Jack) Black, Alma (Ernie) Neufeld, Pat (Earl) Winn, Lynn (Glen) Massey, Sherry (Rob) Hollister; three nephews, Bob (Cookie) Essery, Art (Jenny) Essery and Craig Heale; six great-nephews, Rod (Nancy), Derrick (Judy), Sean (Laura), Ryan (Leeanna) Black, Shawn Essery and Joey Neufeld; seven great-nieces, Tracey (Kevin) Slobogian, Tammy (John) Mulligan, Tara (Lance) Sidor, Cindy Neufeld, Stephanie (Phil) Mager, Erin and Jena Massey, 11 great-great-nieces, 10 great-great-nephews and other relatives and friends.
