KUWAYTI, Kamal Dr. Kamal Kuwayti, loving father, devoted husband and caring physician, passed away on April 13, 2004 in Ottawa after a long and brave struggle with heart disease. He was a true champion of humanity and traversed the world -- from his hometown of Basra, Iraq to medical school at the American University of Beirut, to residence at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and a long career as a respected endocrinologist in Ottawa. He was a kind and gentle person with a warm sense of humour, who loved to tell stories and cherished the company of family and close friends. He was always there for his family, and his constant guidance, support and wisdom cannot be replaced. His love for his family and his dedication to his patients and the community will always be remembered. Beloved husband of 40 years of his late wife Dahlia, he is survived by his two sons, Ricky and Kenny, and his daughter, Karen. He is also survived by two brothers, Josef and Charles. DAVIES, Edward Dennis In loving memory of Edward Dennis Davies who passed away April 12, 2004 after a lengthy illness. He was in his 67th year. He was born March 20, 1938, the only son of John and Ada Davies in Seguin Falls, Ontario. He grew up in Seguin with his sister Jane, before leaving the area to find employment. Ed tried his hand at various jobs until finding his true calling with INCO. Starting at Frood in 1964, he later transferred to Little Stobie, accumulating thirty years of history. He retired in 1994. He was married in Sprucedale United Church September 27, 1958 to Eleanor Marion Mattice, the only daughter of Kenneth and Anne Mattice. They resided in Sudbury, Ontario throughout their marriage. They had two children, a son James Kenneth and a daughter Brenda Jane. Edward had seven grandchildren, all girls, Melody, Crystal, Donna, Savannah, Tamara, Christina and Catherine. He was great-grandfather to twin girls, Tasia and Adreya. Edward enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping until ill health forced him to stay home. He had a passion for collecting old cars and enjoyed cruising down the highway. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Donations to the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Center would be greatly appreciated by the family. ELSIE BOWMAN BOWMAN - Elsie Emily (née Heard) passed away peacefully on April 6, 2004 at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto in her 89th year. Predeceased by husbands Frank Miller, Gary McMullen and John Bowman. Loving mother of Larry Miller (daughter-in-law, Betty Miller) of Saskatoon, and Susan Hampton (son-in-law, Ted Hampton) of Toronto. Dear grandmother of three grandchildren: Rebecca Hay (husband Robert Hay), Lianne Miller, and Robert Miller, and two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Caeden Hay. She was born in Bucke Township to parents Rob Roy and Maria Heard, and was a survivor of the Haileybury Fire of 1922. She is survived by her brother Edwin Heard, her sister Violet Michiel and brother-in-law, Max Michiel, sister-in-law Marion Ansley, many nieces and nephews, and stepson, Donald Bowman. She was predeceased by two sisters, Gladys Hadden and Edith McFarlane and three brothers, Hazlet Heard, Leonard Heard and Robert Heard. Mrs. Bowman attended Clover Valley Public School and Haileybury High School, where she demonstrated her scholastic abilities. She later trained as a registered nurse at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, where she was awarded a gold medal of distinction. Before moving further south, she resided at Haileybury, Chaput Hughes and North Bay. She also owned a cottage on Lake Temagami. The funeral service was conducted by Major Rowena Wiseman of The Salvation Army on April 8, 2004 at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home in Toronto. Interment will take place at the Kirkland Lake Cemetery on May 28, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. “Love is eternal”

AUBIN, Clément Louis In loving memory of Clément Louis Aubin, 66 years of age, who passed away April 14, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital, Laurentian Site after a courageous battle with cancer. Clem was a plumber by trade who took great pride and satisfaction in his work. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and the company of friends and family at his camp in Alban on Ranger Bay. He is survived by his loving wife Mary-Lou Aubin, six children and one remaining brother all of Sudbury. Il a enseigné 40 ans à la CECM et terminé sa carrière à l'école secondaire Philippe-Perrier. A tous ceux et celles qui l'ont connu de près, il leur a donné le goût du Québec, de la France et de la langue française. BELLIVEAU, Yvon. On April 6, 2004, Mr. Yvon Gerard Belliveau of Oliver, B.C., formerly of Montreal, passed away at the age of seventy-three. Funeral service was held on April 10 from Christ The King Catholic Church in Oliver. Prayers were held on Friday evening April 9. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Ann; children Daniel of Pierrefonds, Quebec, Normand of Windsor, Ontario and Nathalie of Greenfield Park, Quebec; his step-children Scott and Blair, as well as four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; his brother Eddy of Dorion, Quebec and extended family.
