LUCILLE MARIE CECILE DESROSIERS Peacefully this first day of spring, Sunday, March 21, 2004, our beloved mother, Lucille Marie Cecile Desrosiers, left this world at the age of 69 years to claim her wings. Daughter of Auguste Desrosiers and Marie-Anne Cote, Lucille grew up in Ste. Anne-des-Chenes and spent many of her childhood summers in St. Norbert with her grandmother Melina (Cote) Richot nee Cloutier. After completing her studies at Normal School, Lucille went to teach in the N.W.T. where she met and married Roland Salmon. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Gaetan Salmon, Helene Fisette (Mark), Francois Salmon (April), Michel Salmon (Maryse) and Rheal Salmon; her seven beloved grandchildren, Chantal, Louis, Henri, Marielle, Catherine, Marc-Andre and Sasha; her Godchild Anita Kruk; her siblings and sisters-in-law, Therese Legare, Annette Bouchard (Roland), Helene Brooks (Lorne), Angele Mignon (Jean) and Jean Desrosiers, Laura and Colleen Desrosiers; as well as numerous nephews and nieces and the Salmon Family in France. She was predeceased by two sons, Bernard and Joseph; her parents; her brothers, Maurice and Paul Desrosiers; sister-in-law Alice Desrosiers and brother-in-law Roger Legare. Sincere thanks to the wonderful medical team and volunteers at the St. Boniface General Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their care and compassion, and also to all the friends and family who visited Lucille. Ronald Parisé, Smooth Rock Falls, died at Smooth Rock Falls Hospital on Feb. 12, 2004. He was 92 years old. Mr. Parisé was predeceased by wife Fernande Arseneault, parents Joseph Parisé and Marie-Anne Duguay, son Cyril and son-in-law Joey O’Rourke. He is survived by children Gérald (Denise) of Bracebridge, Claude (Paulette) of SRF, Raymond (Bonnie) of Kitchener, Gilles of Stratford, Lucette O’Rourke of Kapuskasing and Nicole Parisé (friend of Santo) of Montreal; and daughter-in-law Shirley Parisé of Ste-Catherine. Also surviving are brothers-in-law Marcel and Yvon Arseneault and Gerry Therrien, sister-in-law Raymonde Arseneault, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Fr. Leo Papineau officiated at the funeral service on March 22, 2004 at Sainte-Gertrude Church. Mr. Parisé’s ashes will be interred at the Smooth Rock Falls cemetery.

BARBARA ANNE St. LAURENT September 17, 1942- March 22, 2004 Barbara Anne St. Laurent (Johnson) passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on March 22, 2004 after a lengthy illness she joins her mother Ruth, father Robert Johnson and brothers, Steven and Barry in Heaven. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Gerald; their children, Angela (Ron), Bob (Maureen), Paul, Peter (Leah); grandchildren, Colton, Kyle, Stacy-Lynne, Kevin, Jaylene, Genevieve, Justin and Cayden; her brothers, Phil, John and Tony; and sister Pat; many nieces and nephews and her good friend Elaine Gray. Barbara was born on September 17, 1942 in Winnipeg. She will be remembered by those who loved her as a woman with an incredible zest for life and was admired for her strength till the end. She was always thinking of her family. Barbara will deeply be missed by all those whose lives she touched. Barbara spent a lot of time in the community; She coached and umpired softball at Chalmers Community Centre. She has overcome so many obstacles over the last little while and with all her pain and suffering she always had a smile. We love you mom and we will miss you dearly, we know now that you are with God now, because you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. LANGLOIS, Alphonse À Bedford, le 21 mars 2004, à l'âge de 88 ans, est décédé monsieur Alphonse Langlois, époux de madame Aline Laforce. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil ses six enfants, Michel (Michelyne Audette), Jacques, Louise (John Lenard), Pierre (Marie Larocque), Gilles (Joane Marchessault) et Daniel. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses six petits-enfants, Sébastien, Véronique, Karine, Jennifer, Marc-André, AnnieClaude, ainsi que deux arrière-petitsenfants, Samuel et Pascal. Lui survivent deux soeurs, Cécile (feu Alphonse Dionne) et Jeanne (feu Émile Pelletier); ses beauxfrères et belles-soeurs, Mme Simone Dauphin (feu Georges Langlois), Mme Janine Veilleux (feu Gaston Langlois), M. Eldem Laforce (Noelliste Proulx), Mme Bertrande Laforce (Marc Godin) et Mme Carmelle Laforce (Robert Gauthier), ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces. Après une longue carrière dans le domaine des assurances au sein de son propre cabinet, il aborde sa retraite en se mettant au service des autres. Après ses études en théologie, il est ordonné diacre permanent de son diocèse en 1975 par l'évêque de Saint-Hyacinthe, Mgr Albert Sanschagrin. C'est au service des malades qu'il consacre ensuite l'essentiel des activités de son ministère en plus de fonder le Centre de bénévolat de Bedford et de la région, répondant ainsi à un besoin pressant pour la population de Bedford. Affecté par la maladie durant les trois dernières années, il s'est retiré avec sa famille qui a su l'entourer d'amour jusqu'à la fin de sa vie. SWANSON CLARENCE 1940-2004 The family announces with sorrow his death at St. Joseph’s Health Center in Toronto on Monday, March 22, 2004 at age 63 years. Beloved husband of Micheline Swanson (nee Doyon) of Star Lake and dearest father of Daren (Lisa) of Kitchener and Eric (wife Patsy) of Orangeville. Dear son of Phyllis Klingbeil of New Liskeard and brother of Marge Shankland of Toronto. He is also survived by his grandchildren Matthew, Simon, Acacius, Alexandra, Zoe and Zaidee as well as his daughters-in-law Betty-Ann Swanson of Timmins and Cecile Swanson of Burlington. Pre-deceased by his son Gary in 1997 as well as his father Henry Swanson and brothers Val and Glen. Clarence retired from his many years with Northern Telephone in 1997 and he and his wife Micheline enjoyed spending much of the winters in Florida and their summers at their home at Star Lake. Lavergne, Ovila MONSIEUR OVILA LAVERGNE est décédé le 19 mars 2004 au CHSLD Petite-Nation à l'âge de 96 ans. Il était l'époux de feu Simone Bélisle. SAINT-LÉOLIN - Le lundi 8 mars 2004, à l’âge de 53 ans, est décédée après une courte maladie Annette Johanns-Clément, épouse de feu Robert Clément, domiciliée à Saint-Léolin. Elle était fille de feu Margot Mauer-Johanns et de feu Martin Johanns de Paquetville. Elle laisse dans le deuil quatre soeurs: Sonya (Jean-Guy Malette) de Sorel-Tracy, Aline (Norbert Roy) de Dieppe, Chantal (Mark Lawton) de Guelph et Manon (André Paillette) de Lakeville, ainsi que quatre neveux, Jean-Martin, Maxime, Eric et David. La dépouille mortelle ne sera pas exposée. La famille recevra parents et amis à compter de 9h30, le vendredi 26 mars, en l’église Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys de Saint-Léolin, suivi des funérailles à 10h. À la demande de la famille, un don à la Fondation de l’Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus de Caraquet serait apprécié.
