BOCKUS, Lia, On March 21, 2004 at the St. Catharines General Hospital after a long illness with cancer. Sadly missed by her children, David (Leslie), Richard (Diane) and Elaine (Norman Gill); her grandchildren, Jeremy Bockus, Cheryl Loisel, Brian Bo ckus, Ron Gill, and Shelley Osborne; and her great-grandchildren; Brandon and Justin Bockus, Jonathon Loisel, and Sara Osborne. Predeceased by her parents Frank Lehnert and Margaret Sobotka and her husband Donald Bockus. Lee was born in Czechoslovaki a on May 13, 1929 and emigrated to Canada with her parents in 1939. For many years she kept a herd of prize winning Jersey cows. She was an avid gardener and regularly exhibited at the Niagara Regional Exhibition. Cremation has taken place. BEDARD, Robert (Rob) Allan Rob left us on March 20, 2004. He passed away peacefully after a 20 month determined and courageous battle against lung cancer in Mission Hospital. He was born August 1, 1965 in Haney, BC. Rob's final days on earth were surrounded with love by his family and closest friends. Loving and missing him are his wife, Monica and his acquired children, Chantel, Daffini, Lance, Eddy, Bedine, Colt, and his new granddaughter Hannah; his mother Joan (Peter) Sanders; his brother Larry; Granny Vi Lens. He also leaves behind his many, many family and friends. Rob was predeceased by his father Robert (Bob) Bedard, grandfather John Lens, great-grandmother Edith (Hammie) Wilson, grandparents Ted and Irene Bedard. Rob will be missed deeply. He was a great husband, stepdad, son, uncle, brother and a wonderful friend. He was known for his talent of cooking, throwing a great party, and fishing. Rob gave 100 % all the time. A huge thanks to Dr. Potter and all the nurses at Mission Hospital. Ronald Parisé, Smooth Rock Falls, died at Smooth Rock Falls Hospital on Feb. 12, 2004. He was 92 years old. Mr. Parisé was predeceased by wife Fernande Arseneault, parents Joseph Parisé and Marie-Anne Duguay, son Cyril and son-in-law Joey O’Rourke. He is survived by children Gérald (Denise) of Bracebridge, Claude (Paulette) of SRF, Raymond (Bonnie) of Kitchener, Gilles of Stratford, Lucette O’Rourke of Kapuskasing and Nicole Parisé (friend of Santo) of Montreal; and daughter-in-law Shirley Parisé of Ste-Catherine. Also surviving are brothers-in-law Marcel and Yvon Arseneault and Gerry Therrien, sister-in-law Raymonde Arseneault, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Fr. Leo Papineau officiated at the funeral service on March 22, 2004 at Sainte-Gertrude Church. Mr. Parisé’s ashes will be interred at the Smooth Rock Falls cemetery.

ROY, Père Jacques, M.S.A. 1930 - 2004 À Montréal, le 21 mars 2004, à l'âge de 73 ans, est décédé le Père Jacques Roy, M.S.A.. Né le 22 août 1930 à Montréal, il était le fils de feu Blanche Trudel et de feu Rodolphe Roy. Membre de la Société des Missionnaires des Saints-Apôtres, il fut ordonné prêtre le 12 mai 1968. Jusqu'en 1977, il exerça son ministère presbytéral à Montréal. Il fut animateur adjoint à al Maison de retraites StPaul, vicaire coopérateur à la paroisse SteGertrude, directeur de la pastorales scolaire à l'Institut Reine-Marie ainsi que directeur adjoint des services aux étudiants au Collège St-Jean-Vianney à Montréal. Depuis 1977, à la suite d'une grave maladie, le Père Roy exerça dans la souffrance l'humble ministère de la prière. She was an associate member of the Lockerby Legion Branch 564 and a member of The Daughters of Isabella. Bertha was a devoted mother and will be sadly missed and never forgotten. ARSENAULT, Marjorie Evelyn - 71, Dartmouth, quietly passed away March 22, 2004, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Aden and Olive (Blanche) Cleveland. She retired in 1984 after 32 years of service to MTT. Marjorie and Jack spent their early retirement years traveling throughout North America with friends and family. She continued her camping experience becoming a full-time member of Webber's Campground in Upper Lakeville, where along with Jack, supported the many activities of the community. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church and Ladies Auxiliary. She assisted in many charities including Christian Child Care International. Surviving are daughters, Brenda Myers, British Columbia; Linda Hill, Dartmouth; sons, David, Saint John, N.B.; Terry, Mount Uniacke; sisters, Lillian Rowe, Halifax; Betty Burke, Ontario; Sylvia Cleveland, Oklahoma; brother, Cecil, Ontario; three grandchildren; three step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren.
