ARSENAULT, Marjorie Evelyn - 71, Dartmouth, quietly passed away March 22, 2004, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Aden and Olive (Blanche) Cleveland. She retired in 1984 after 32 years of service to MTT. Marjorie and Jack spent their early retirement years traveling throughout North America with friends and family. She continued her camping experience becoming a full-time member of Webber's Campground in Upper Lakeville, where along with Jack, supported the many activities of the community. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church and Ladies Auxiliary. She assisted in many charities including Christian Child Care International. Surviving are daughters, Brenda Myers, British Columbia; Linda Hill, Dartmouth; sons, David, Saint John, N.B.; Terry, Mount Uniacke; sisters, Lillian Rowe, Halifax; Betty Burke, Ontario; Sylvia Cleveland, Oklahoma; brother, Cecil, Ontario; three grandchildren; three step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Jack; son, Paul; sisters, Mary Noseworthy and Mae Clare; brothers, Cyril and Carl. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Funeral service 12 p.m. Wednesday in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Father Banyog-enne Gaetan officiating, followed by a reception in the church hall. Cremation will then take place. Née à Petit-Rocher, elle était fille de feu Léon et Rose (Chamberlain) Comeau. Elle laisse dans le deuil un fils, Yvon (Marjorie) de Dunlop; une fille, Yolande Morrison de Dunlop; deux frères: Evarist (Derilda) de Robertville et Arthur de Montréal; deux soeurs: Marianne Imbeault de Pointe-Verte et Florine Guitard (Mathias) de Petit-Rocher; cinq petits-enfants: Liette, Rachel, Donna, Kirk et Kyle, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Un petit-fils, Blair Morrison; un frère, Adelard, ainsi qu’une soeur, Alexina, l’ont précédée dans la tombe. Mme Aubé a été propriétaire de Aubé Grocery Store de Dunlop pendant 30 ans. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la Maison funéraire Héritage de Beresford. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Sainte-Thérèse de Robertville, le mercredi 24 mars, à 19h. CHALIFOUX, Alphonsie Mrs. Alphonsie Chalifoux, late of Blue Ridge, passed away on March 14, 2004, at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her four children: Martha (Tom) Burnham of Blue Ridge; Raymond (Sharon) Chalifoux of Edmonton; Larry (Sheila) Chalifoux of Whitecourt; and George Chalifoux of Whitecourt; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother Archie Courtipatt of Barrhead; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was born in Noelville and married Andre Rancourt, predeceased 1982, and Delbert Hubbard, predeceased 1989. A member of St. David's Roman Catholic Church in Noelville, Bertha had worked for over 15 years as a chambermaid at the Kitchener Valhalla Inn. She was an associate member of the Lockerby Legion Branch 564 and a member of The Daughters of Isabella. Bertha was a devoted mother and will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Beloved wife of the late André Rancourt (deceased 1982) and the late Delbert Hubbard (deceased 1989). Loving mother of Léo Paul Rancourt, predeceased (wife Madeleine of Geraldton), Oza Rancourt (wife isabelle) of Sturgeon Falls, Jack Rancourt of Vancouver, Rhéal Rancourt, capucin of Montréal and George Rancourt (wife Helen) of Winnipeg. Harold S. Oulton Harold S. Oulton, 90, of the Veteran's Health Centre, Moncton and formerly of Dieppe/Chartersville passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 20, 2004. MCFARLANE, WILLIAM ERNEST On Sunday March 21, 2004 William Ernest McFarlane, age 69, of Rusagonis, NB passed away at home. Born in PEI, he was a son of the late William and Margaret (McIsaac) McFarlane. He served with the Black Watch and 2 R.C.R. retiring in 1985 and was a member of the Black Watch Association. He also served as a commissionaire at the Centennial Building, and security for Maple Leaf Homes. He was well known in hockey, having played with the Black Watch, then the Cornwallis Cougars and later with Base Gagetown Warriors where he was known as "Billie-O", and served as coach for both teams. He was a member of the Gage Golf and Curling Club for many years and enjoyed his retirement golfing. MCCAIN, H. HARRISON, CC 1927 - 2004 H. Harrison McCain C.C., co-founder and Founding Chairman of McCain Foods Limited, passed away on March 18, 2004 at 11:05 p.m. EST at the Lahey Clinic in Boston. Mr. McCain had been in declining health for some time. He was 76 years old. He directed the growth of McCain Foods for 45 years as it grew from a small French fry processing operation in Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada, to the world's largest producer of French fries and a $6.4 billion a year international frozen food firm. BREAU, DOREEN MARY - The death of Doreen Mary Breau of 656 Brunswick Drive, widow of Raymond Joseph Breau, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, March 21, 2004. Mrs. Breau was born in Tracadie, a daughter of the late William and Exilda (Mallet) McWilliams, and had resided in Saint John for over fifty years. She had operated Doreen's Beauty Salon in Tracadie and was employed with the New Brunswick Telephone Company in Saint John. Doreen enjoyed life to the fullest, spending all her time with family, grandchildren, and friends who will remember her always. She was a longtime resident of the North End of Saint John and attended the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception faithfully for forty-seven years. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Johnny "Cone", Roderick, and Wesley McWilliams; and one sister, Mabel Hachey. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Katrina) and William (Andrea) Breau, both of St. Albert, Alberta; five daughters, Audrey (Sterling) Estey and Debbie (Michael) Maxwell, both of Quispamsis, and Mary, Geraldine, and Judith Breau, all of Saint John; two brothers, Murray McWilliams of Ontario, and Lloyd (Rosemai) McWilliams of Tracadie; one sister, Audrey (Pat) Blanchard of Dieppe; nine grandchildren, Bettina, Tyler, Eric, and Chantal Breau, all of St. Albert, and Christina-Marie and Joseph Maxwell, and Douglas, Lauren, and Alexandra Estey, all of Quispamsis; and several nieces and nephews. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the wife of the late E. Roy French and daughter of the late William McKee and Mabel Bertha (Beardsley) Jones. In later years Connie was employed in retail with K-Mart and was an avid sports enthusiast. Connie also had a keen interest in genealogy, where she and her sister Eileen and cousin Penny compiled a book of the family history. Deux fils: Ludger et François; une bru, Jacqueline; trois soeurs: Exilda, Amanda et Dorina; deux frères: Manuel et Alphonse, ainsi qu’un arrière-petit-fils, Christian (1994), l’ont précédée dans la tombe.
