Elle était fille de feu Nazaire N. Gionet et de feu Alice Légère. Elle laisse dans le deuil sept filles: Colette (Martin Landry), Martina (Rhéal Albert), Mathilda et Liette (Jean-Guy Godin), toutes de Caraquet, Ginette (Normand Dugas) de Maisonnette, Carmella (Nicholas Thériault) de Notre-Dame-des-Érables et Irène (Stéphane Rousselle) de Trenton, Ont.; un fils, Martin de Winnipeg, Man.; 12 petits-enfants et quatre arrière-petits-enfants; six soeurs: Philomène (feu Édouard Paulin) de l’Ontario, Jeanne d’Arc (feu Arthur Arseneau) de Bathurst, Exilda (feu Nelson William), Denise (Stave Sieviewicz), Eliana et Lucienne (Garfielde Benteau), toutes de Halifax, N.-É.; trois frères: Hudger d’Edmonton, Alb. Alfred (Mabel Haché) et Marcel, tous deux de Montréal, Qué.; deux beaux-frères: Joe Benteau (feu Thérèse) et Alphonse Cordeau (feu Alice), tous deux de Halifax, N.-É., ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-soeurs, neveux et nièces. Deux soeurs: Thérèse et Alice, l’ont précédée dans la tombe. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 14h, le lundi 22 mars, à la Maison funéraire Racicot de Caraquet. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens de Caraquet, le mardi 23 mars, à 16h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial, au printemps. Heures de visites: le lundi 22 mars, de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le mardi 23 mars, de 14h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles. À la demande de la famille, un don à la Fondation des maladies du coeur serait apprécié. Frederick Raymond Johnson 1931 - 2004 The death of Frederick Raymond Johnson, 72, beloved husband of Shirley (Vessey), occurred at The Moncton Hospital on March 20, 2004 following a lengthy illness. Born November 20, 1931, he was the son of Mayme (Shaffer) and (the late) Gerald Johnson. Mr. Johnson was retired from Eastern Bakeries, his employer of over 30 years. Born in Birmingham, England, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel (Key) Hinks. Mrs. Carey is survived by three daughters, Barbara Carson (Archie) of Holtville, Marilyn Munn (Leonard) of Holtville, and Valerie Connor (Charles) of Nashwaak Village; one brother, William Hinks (Gwen) of England; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Oliver; three sisters, Elizabeth, Ethel, and Gladys; and one granddaughter, Deanna Carson. H. Harrison McCain, CC 1927 - 2004 BOSTON, MASS, USA - H. Harrison McCain C.C., co-founder and Founding Chairman of McCain Foods Limited, passed away on March 18, 2004 at 11:05 pm EST at the Lahey Clinic in Boston. Mr. McCain had been in declining health for some time. He was 76 years old. He directed the growth of McCain Foods for 45 years as it grew from a small French fry processing operation in Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada, to the world's largest producer of French fries and a $6.4 billion a year international frozen food firm. BREAU, DOREEN MARY - The death of Doreen Mary Breau of 656 Brunswick Drive, widow of Raymond Joseph Breau, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, March 21, 2004. Mrs. Breau was born in Tracadie, a daughter of the late William and Exilda (Mallet) McWilliams, and had resided in Saint John for over fifty years. She had operated Doreen's Beauty Salon in Tracadie and was employed with the New Brunswick Telephone Company in Saint John. Doreen enjoyed life to the fullest, spending all her time with family, grandchildren, and friends who will remember her always. She was a longtime resident of the North End of Saint John and attended the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception faithfully for forty-seven years. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Johnny "Cone", Roderick, and Wesley McWilliams; and one sister, Mabel Hachey. FRENCH, CONSTANCE "CONNIE" MARIE The death of Connie (Jones) French of Rocmaura Nursing Home, occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, March 20th, 2004. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the wife of the late E. Roy French and daughter of the late William McKee and Mabel Bertha (Beardsley) Jones. In later years Connie was employed in retail with K-Mart and was an avid sports enthusiast. Connie also had a keen interest in genealogy, where she and her sister Eileen and cousin Penny compiled a book of the family history. Connie is survived by four sons, Lee (Lois), Bill (Ann), Greg (Debbie) and Brian (Karen), all of Saint John; one sister, Eileen Clarke of Ketepec; one brother Al Jones (Heather) of Gondola Point; seven grandchildren, Peter, Jeff, Shianne Russell (Robert), Justin, Andrew, Danielle and Lindsay; four great-grandchildren, Jaclynne, Samantha, Kyle and Madison; several nieces and nephews. She was born in Sturgeon Falls and married Ovila Hogan in 1943 in Sturgeon Falls. Jacqueline had owned and operated hotels in Lafayette and Schumacher for many years. She moved to the Sudbury area in 1984. She was a past member of the Daughters of Isabella in Noelville. A devout Roman Catholic she had attended Ste Anne's Church in younger years. Jacqueline was devoted to her loving family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wife of Ovila Hogan predeceased.
