GRACIA LANDRY Our cherished Aunt Grace passed away peacefully on March 19, 2004 at Tuxedo Villa. She will be sadly missed by all those she has left behind. Although Aunt Grace never married, she was thought of as a mother and grandmother by all her nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. She took an active interest in the lives of her "family" and always provided that needed shoulder to lean on. Gracia was predeceased by her mother and father, Octave and Eugenie, her brothers, Edmond and Aime; sister-in-law Ida; and nephews, Guy, Donat and Denis. She leaves behind her brother Fred and sisters-in-law, Marguerite ("Tootes") and Maria; nieces and nephews, Louise (Tony), Suzanne (Bubba), Marc (Kathy), Marguerite (Rene), Gisele (Wally), Andre (Pat), Dolores (Sam), Benoit, Gerry, Roger (Pat), Colette, Michelle, Larry (Lynda), Rheal, Richard and Jeanette (Marcel) and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces. Gracia was born in Lorette, MB on June 19, 1925. She left Lorette with her parents in 1945 to live in St. Boniface. She worked in Winnipeg at a variety of different jobs while at the same time caring for her ailing parents. Since her early twenties, Gracia has travelled the world over, and she was proud to be able to say that she had visited every single continent. Gracia retired in 1985 and since that time she continued to travel while she was still able to do so and spent the remainder of her time with family and friends. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Interment will be held in the St. Boniface Cemetery at a later date. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Tuxedo Villa who cared for her these past months. Eugène Bussière 1910 2004 À l’hôpital du St-Sacrement de Québec, est décédé le 19 mars 2004, au terme d’une longue maladie, Eugène Bussière, époux de Cécile Fraser. Il laisse dans le deuil, outre son épouse, ses enfants Jacques, Louise (Jean-Claude Cadieux), Jean (Judy Glass) et Yves (Guadalupe Jara Rosas); ses petits-enfants: Dominique (Olivier Goyette), Benoît (Deborah Zimmerman), Catherine (Eric Fresia) et leur mère Mariette Sauvé; Mathieu (Caroline Fecteau), Madeleine (Benoît Théberge) et leur mère Elen Wera; Anik Trudel (Pierre Raymond); Mélanie, Alexandre (Genevièvre Burt) et leur mère Maria Gerych; Laurent, Stéphane et leur mère Annick Duchâtel; ainsi que Daniel; ses arrière-petits-enfants: William, Isaac, Camille, Anne-Frédérique, Samuel, Delphine, Charlotte et Eliot; ses beaux-frères: Émile Fraser (Rita Bélanger) et Roland Fraser; ses belle-sœurs: Alma Fraser (feu Rosario Simard), Yvette Fraser (feu Paul-Émile Charron), Yolande Fraser (Ludger Dufour), Isabelle Côté (feu Bernard Fraser) et Gilberte Côté (feu Antonio Bussière), ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces. La famille tient à témoigner sa reconnaissance au personnel du Marquisat (Turnbull) pour la qualité des soins et l’affection dont il a su entourer la dernière année de la vie d’Eugène Bussière. Un des premiers diplômés de l’École des Sciences sociales de l’Université Laval, Eugène Bussière a été toute sa vie un proche collaborateur du Père Georges-Henri Lévesque. Responsable à l’UNESCO du programme de l’éducation des adultes de 1948 à 1952, Eugène Bussière fut directeur associé du Conseil des arts du Canada de 1957 à 1964 et Consul général du Canada à Marseille de 1965-1973. Il fut décoré de l’Ordre du Canada en 1995. La famille recevra les condoléances à la Coopérative funéraire du Plateau 693, av.
