Loving brother of Chris Gagnon and Lori Balint; Marianne and her husband Anrico Casadei; and Mark Gagnon and Susan Fortier. Dear uncle of Marie, Anna, Kristina, Hailey and Charlie. Kevin was a former employee of the CNR & Chromeshield. He was an active member of the CAW local #195. SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT - À l’Hôpital Stella-Maris de Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, le vendredi 12 mars 2004, à l’âge de 87 ans, est décédé Alphonse Vautour, domicilié à Saint-Louis-de-Kent. Né à Cap-Saint-Louis, il était fils de feu Joseph Vautour et de feu Alice (Doucet) Vautour. Il laisse dans le deuil une fille, Mable Vautour (Tony); un fils, Kevin; un demi-frère, Adelard; trois beaux-frères: Arsène, Val et David, ainsi que trois petits-enfants: Jessica, Joshaua et Joannie. M. Vautour était la dernière personne vivante de sa famille immédiate. Une soeur, Edith, ainsi qu’un frère, Edmond, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. Il a été pêcheur pendant plus de 60 ans. KRAUSSER, Dinora (Dina), Olga (nee Kushak). 1911 - 2004. Passed away peacefully at La Providence Hospital in Magog, Que. on March 11, 2004 in her ninety-third year. After a painful struggle with bone cancer, Dina is now rejoined with her beloved husband Hilmar Krausser and daughter Christel. She is survived by her children Tilly (Lou), Karl (Linda) and Olga who will miss her very much. An everloving and giving soul, Mrs. Krausser was loved by a great number of friends and "honorary children and grandchildren.". CLARK-PEAKER, Winifred M. (nee Waddell) It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winifred on February 17, 2004 in Scarborough Centenary Hospital, Markham, ON. She was born in Gibraltar, February 21, 1920, moved to Ottawa with her family in 1922. Following an illness 7 or 8 years ago, moved to Markham, ON. She was employed by the Federal Gov't. in Ottawa for 35 years. She served as a Secretary in the Deputy Minister's Office (Veteran's Affairs) and as Supervisor for a Steno Pool (Supply & Services). She was well liked for her cheerful manner, quick wit and great generosity. She was known as Win Clark during most of her Service. Dressmaking was her hobby. She was an excellent seamstress and always ready to help. She made most of the Church Gowns for St. Peters Lutheran Church Cherub Choir (1944). Delaquis, Daniel J. Lavallee, Liam M. Gzebowski and Annika M. Gzebowski, passed away at his home in Carman, MB surrounded by his family. Alain was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Marie Louise Delaquis; and by three brothers, Denis, Bruno and Andre. He was also predeceased by his father-in-law James E. Kelly and his mother-in-law Margaret J. Kelly. He spent most of his adult life working as a lab technician in the aircraft industry. Alain loved the outdoors, enjoying various hobbies such as canoeing, fishing, photography, gardening and many outdoor sports. Alain was devoted to his family and worked very hard throughout his life to provide them with the opportunities that would better their lives. He dearly loved his grandchildren and had a constant interest in all that they did. He will be greatly missed. Alain faced this struggle against cancer with remarkable courage and fortitude. HAMILTON, ELDA KATHLEEN - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday March 12, 2004 Elda Kathleen (Chetley) of 219 Ellerdale St., Saint John wife of 62 years to Leyton Russell Hamilton. Born in Saint John daughter of the late Herman and Bertha (Fraser) Chetley. Elda worked as a Ward Clerk for many years at the Nurses Residence and also as a Receptionist, Saint John General Hospital, Waterloo St., Saint John. Elda was a faithful member of Bethany Pentecostal Church for many years. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons Oral (Joanne) of Saint John, Vernon (Marie) of Clarendon; three daughters Valerie Hachey (Patrick), Rose Moss (Gerard) of Willow Grove, Myrna Belyea (Douglas); one twin sister Elva McGrath (Sheldon) of Quispamsis; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, sister Leota Chetley, grandson Norman Hachey and daughter-in-law Holly. Resting at the Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Funeral service will be held at "Fallsview" Chapel on Tuesday March 16, 2004 at 1PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Sunday from 7-9PM and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society; Heart and Stroke Foundation; Alzheimer Society of N.B. or to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family. Following the interment a reception will take place at the "Fallsview" Family Reception Center.

MacRAE, DUNCAN RUSSELL - Born July 8, 1913, passed away March 12, 2004 after failing health at Bevan Lodge in Abbotsford BC. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret, in 1987. He is survived by two daughters, one son, one brother, one sister and two grandsons. Dr. MacRae practiced ophthalmology in Saint John for over 40 years. He was dearly loved and will be forever missed. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row. Funeral will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday March 19, 2004 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will precede the service from 11:00am to 12:00. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery Extension in Saint John West. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the charity of your choice.

MARCELLE MARGUERITE BROOK (LAMBLIN) Peacefully on Sunday, March 7, 2004, at the Holy Family Nursing Home, Marcelle passed away at the age of 91. Marcelle was predeceased by her husband Kenneth and daughter Nora. Marcelle will be greatly missed by her sons, Raye (Rhonda), Clifford (Bev); grandsons, Russ Johannson (Carol Ann), Deryl (Liz), Terry (Jeannie) and granddaughter Krista. Lovingly remembered by great-grandchildren, Chantelle, Daryl, Sheliza, Chelsea, Brittany, Megan, Chad, Tiara, Brice and Shayla. Marcelle was predeceased by brothers, Jean, Pierre and Etienne; sisters, Gibby and Lise; sisters-in-law, Alice and Peggy and brothers-in-law, Arthur and Sam. She is remembered with love by sisters, Rose (Gordon) and Antoinette and sisters-in-law, Rita and Warda. Marcelle came to Canada from France in 1913 with her parents Robert and Marie-Louise Lamblin. They homesteaded in Eastland, MB, where she went to school. At the age of 18, she began working in the Eriksdale Hotel, this setting the course for the rest of her life. She was a very ambitious and hard working young lady and quite attractive. She caught the eye of a certain young Englishman named Ken and married him in 1936. Marcelle and Ken lived in a log cabin east of Eriksdale where they worked for neighbours doing farm chores. Ken joined the Army in 1941 and Marcelle took over the farm with sister Gibby as her right-hand man until the end of the war. Cliff was born in 1938 and Nora in 1942. Ken returned in 1945 and took over the farm again. Raye appeared on the scene in 1948. In 1950, the farm was sold and Marcelle, Ken and family moved to Winnipeg, "381 Harbison". Marcelle then came into her own, opening her heart, arms and home to all her children's friends. The famous "cookie jar" that got low but never ran out, the dancing, singing and playing games till late at night under Mum's supervision. We all thank you "Mum". Dad's visits for tea with his many charges and the happiness at 381, we will never forget. After retirement, Mum and Dad did a lot of travelling but we believe they were happiest surrounded by family, grandchildren and their many friends. Mum and Dad spent their last years together in Holy Family Nursing Home and also where Marcelle spent the last two years. We wish to thank the care givers and staff for the love and care provided for Mum and Dad and in the last two years, for the love and care provided to our mum, Marcelle. Thank you! A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 13 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow. Honorary pallbearers are Vincent Clifford, Gordon Perry, Alf Lindsay, Steve Rushowick and Gerald Hart. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marcelle's memory to a charity of your choice. THORNE, HELEN - Entered into rest peacefully surrounded by her family at Lakeridge Health in Bowmanville ON on Thursday, March 11th, 2004. Helen Elizabeth Chittick, in her 82nd year, was the beloved wife of the late John O.L. Thorne (1999). Loving mother of John and Bev, Peter and Anu, Wendy and Art Paley, Adair and Doug Prentice and Dave and Gloria. Dear sister of Gordon and Myrna Chittick and Heather and Keith Dow all of New Brunswick and Tom and Judy Chittick of Michigan. Dearly remembered by twelve grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
