She is survived by one daughter, Catherine (Cathy) Locke (Peter), of Calgary, Alta.; one son, Villy Praestegaard Jr., of Toronto; one sister, Debbie Bourque (Timmy), of Miramichi; three brothers, Douglas McLenaghan and Junior McLenaghan (Debbie), all of Miramichi, and Lloyd McLenaghan, of Fredericton; as well as several nieces and nephews. CAMERON, PATRICIA A. The sudden death of Patricia A. Cameron, daughter of W.E. and Elaine Spurling and step-mother Catherine Spurling, occurred on Thursday March 4th in her beloved home of Bermuda. Mom passed away peacefully in the hospital where she was born March 6th, 1926. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 51 years, Edward F. Cameron who passed away Sept 10th, 2001. Pat is survived by her sister Penny (Geof) Slater of Toronto, her daughter Lynne Watson of Fredericton, her son Gary and his wife Cheryl of Vancouver, her son Clarke of Fredericton, her numerous cousins in Bermuda and her faithful canine companion " Misty". She is also survived by three very special grandson's (the loves of her life) Chris Watson of Toronto and brothers Ryan and Alex Cameron of Fredericton. Mom was born in Bermuda and travelled to Canada. She graduated with a BSc. from Mount Allison University in1946, where she met her husband Ed. She taught school In Springhill before moving to Fredericton and spent many happy years as secretary at MacAdam Avenue School. She was an artist and painter with a love of seascapes and has been a very active member of the Fredericton Society of Artists. Throughout the years she donated much of her time to the local hospital as well as many other volunteer organizations. She was an avid supporter of Mount Allison University and organizer of their yearly reunions. Pat was a wonderful friend to many who will miss her loyalty, her care for others, her talents and the willingness to share those gifts. There will be no visitation at the request of the family and plans for a memorial service are incomplete at this time. Arrangements will be handled by York Funeral Home. She was born in Douglas, NB, The daughter of J. Milford Hawkins and Elizabeth (Williams) Hawkins. For many years she owned and operated Seymour's Jewelers Store on Regent Street in Fredericton. Irene is survived two daughters Catherine Bradley of Beaconsfield Que, and Margaret Snow and her husband Dr. Richard Snow of Fredericton. Six grandchildren, Carolyn Bradley and Scott Bradley, Richard Snow and Brian Snow, Shari Giffin and Betsy Carson. Three great- grandchildren, one sister May Johnson of Milton, Mass. several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the dedicated caregivers Janice Ouellette and Marie Dorcas. WALKER, DORIS COLLEEN The death of Doris Colleen (Mickie) of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday, March 7, 2004, wife of the late Warren C. Walker. Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., daughter of the late Charles and Violet (MacGregor) Boisner. Doris was an avid fan of harness racing and hockey. Survived by one son, Scott (Joanne) Walker, three grandchildren, Melanie, Joel and Craig, all of Fredericton, sister-in-law, Grace Paisley of London, Ontario, one niece Bobbie Piel of Long Island, NY, and one nephew, Charles Walton of Charlottetown, P.E.I. MACALPINE, DONALD NEVIN Donald N. MacAlpine, age 88, passed away peacefully, at home, in the company of his family on March 6, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Grace (Myers) MacAlpine and beloved father of Cindy Manderson (Robert), Heather MacAlpine and Valerie Matthews (David) and the dear grandfather of Elizabeth Manderson, Eric and Nathanial Bond, and Daniel and Victoria Matthews. He was the dear brother of Vivian Leckey and Eldred Murray. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by infant daughter Helen, sister Phyllis Thorne, and three brothers-in-law; Walter Thorne, Norman Leckey and Robin Murray. A farmer all his life, he brightened our lives with his love of family, friends, neighbours, music and his wonderful stories of the past. He was a good listener and he had a passion for woodworking. He attended the Jemseg Baptist Church. Resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home, 18 Scovil Road, Norton (8392156) with no visitation by request. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from Sherwood's Chapel. A reception will follow, with interment in Upper Hampstead Cemetery following the reception. BONNELL, DORIS HELEN (DUNBAR) - Doris Helen Dunbar Bonnell, widow of well known banker, the late George W. Bonnell, died peacefully on Friday, March 5, 2004, at her residence. She was born on May 30, 1914, at Skiff Lake, NB, the daughter of the late Harry and Maud Dunbar. A resident of Saint John, she was a charter member of the I.O.D.E. Saint John Chapter, a founding director of the Kindness Club of New Brunswick, a director and later president of the Union Club of Saint John, a past member of the Riverside Golf and Country Club and later the Westfield Golf and Country Club, a committee chairperson of the Rotary World Youth Conference in 1958 which brought young people from all over the world to Saint John. She was a member of St. John Baptist (Mission Church) and St. Clement on Millidge Ave in Saint John. She thoroughly enjoyed her family, her many friends, and her cottage at Skiff Lake. She considered Skiff Lake her home, her special place, as this was the gathering place for her family all of her life. Proud of her Scottish heritage, she enjoyed telling her children, and later her grandchildren, stories and legends of their ancestors around the campfire by the lake. She is survived by her son Robert (Barbara) Bonnell of Montreal, her daughters Frances Doyle and Jeanne Keating (Michael) of Saint John, her grandchildren Mark Bonnell (Franisca), Kim Bonnell Hubner (Bryce), Brian Doyle, Barry Doyle (Andrea), Karen Keating Small (Michael), Kelly Keating Boyd (Ian), Jan Keating LeBlanc (Mark), Peter Keating, her 11 great-grandchildren, her brother Grant Dunbar (Doreen), sister-in-law Adeline Dunbar and many nieces and nephews. BOURGEOIS, AURORE "ORA" - 1907 - 2004 - Aurore "Ora" Bourgeois, 96, of Saint John and formerly of Moncton, NB, passed away at Turnbull Nursing Home in Saint John on Saturday, March 6, 2004. Born in Moncton she was the daughter of the late Philias and Madeline (Landry) Bourgeois. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Ora was the last surviving member of her immediate family. At Ora's request there is no visitation at the Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Saint John, NB on Monday, March 8, 2004 at 11:00 am with Fr. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late John L. Sullivan and Edna Harley. SAUNDERS, KENNETH L. - The death of Kenneth Lloyd Saunders of Gondola Point occurred Friday, March 5, 2004 peacefully at home with his loving partner of 29 years, Barbara (Watson) Mabey, and his family by his side. Born in Gondola Point, NB, he was a son of the late Herbert and Carrie (Dann) Saunders. Ken was retired from Irving Paper and was an inspiration and joy to everyone who knew him. His special gift was to love and be loved by young and old alike. His sense of humour has given Barb and his family many wonderful memories that we will all treasure. We all, quite simply, adored him. He is survived by his partner, Barbara (Watson) Mabey and her children, Cindy MacGregor, Stephen, Michael, Tim and Jonathan Mabey; brother, Robert Saunders; and his sisters, Vera (Saunders) Stephenson, Erma (Saunders) Bergeron, Inez (Saunders) Parsons; daughter, Christina; and son, Stephen; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His sister, Helen (Saunders) Wilson, predeceased him.
