Robert Brinkman 1932 - 2003 Au Manoir Victoria Glen de Perth-Andover, le mercredi 31 décembre 2003, à l’âge de 71 ans, est décédé Robert Brinkman, domicilié au Manoir Victoria Glen, mais autrefois de New Denmark. Né à New Denmark en 1932, il était fils de feu William Edgar Brinkman et de feu Johanne Jensen. Il a été précédé par un frère, Gilbert. Il laisse dans le deuil ses soeurs, Edith Hendricksen de New Denmark et Doris Murray de Brampton, Ontario, ses frères, Norval de Toronto et Anders d’Oshawa, ainsi que des neveux et nièces. La dépouille mortelle est exposée en l’église St. Peter’s de New Denmark d’où ses funérailles auront lieu le samedi 3 janvier à 14h, et l’inhumation au cimetière St. Ansgar’s. STELLA FLAMMAND , March 28, 1926 December 31, 2003 Stella passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at the age of 77 years with her family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, James; children, Lorrie, Myrna (Dennis), Ernest (Sandy), Conrad (LorrieAnn), Gloria (special friend, Greg), Gillis (Dorothy), Daryle; grandchildren, Korey, Leah (Jarrod), Shera, Trevor (Maria), Sasha (Mark), Eddie (Jamie), Taylor, Troy (Tina), Joshua, Ryan, Courtney, Dustin, Kristy (Jamie), Courtney, Jeremy, Jennifer, Jay and Chelsey; great grandchildren, Tristyn, Colton, Danielle, Kalli, Tayah, Markus and Landen; sisters, Marion (Ernie), Lucy and Marie as well as many nieces and nephews that she remained particularly close with. She was predeceased by her parents, Alice and Mike Flammand; one sister, Olive; two brothers, Emil and John; mother and father in law, Katherine and Norbert Lavalley. Stella had many dear friends that she made over her lifetime seeming to touch everyone that she met. Some of these were in Yorkton where she enjoyed visiting them over weekends. Stella was especially proud of her family. She enjoyed receiving visits throughout the week from her family and friends where her kitchen would serve as a meeting place for stories and laughter. Stella loved life and her zest to experience it was illustrated in her endless energy from morning to night. She also took great pleasure in bingo and sewing. Perrin of Harvey Station passed away peacefully at Harvey Community Hospital. She was born on March 25, 1912, a daughter of the late George Robert and Laura Marie (Smith) Duplisea. Laura was a member of the Harvey United Pentecostal Church. ROWLEY, Graham Westbrook M.B.E., C.M., L.L.D. Arctic traveler, archaeologist and student of Inuit culture, was born in Manchester, England on October 31, 1912. He died peacefully at home in his 92nd year, surrounded by his family, on December 31st. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Diana Rowley (nee Crowfoot), his daughters Anne, Susan and Jane and their husbands and grandchildren Katharine, Sarah, Edward, Jason, Francis and Emma. Graham first visited the Arctic in 1936 as a member of the British Canadian Arctic Expedition and was captivated by it. He spent the rest of his life on northern issues, working at first for the Department of Defense and later for the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development. After his retirement, he joined the faculty of Carleton University where he taught in the Canadian Studies Programême.
