FAUBERT Marcus Alfred Marcus Alfred passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 11, 2003. Marcus is survived by his loving wife Laura of sixty-two years; daughters, Elaine (Ken) McCowan, Lois (Arnold) Shantz, Lorraine (Butch) Sorensen, Louise (Tom) Attwood, Pat Robertson (Mark Agnew); son Maurice; seventeen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marcus was born in Marengo, Saskatchewan where he was a farmer, grain buyer and member of the RCAF. Later in life he also lived in Calgary, Stavely and High River as a self-employed business owner. Marcus was an active member of the Marengo Legion (fifty-seven years), Knights of Columbus (sixty years), St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, bowling clubs and the Cansurmount Drive. Prayer Services will be held on Friday, November 14 at 4:00 p.m. at the SNODGRASS FUNERAL CHAPEL in High River. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church in High River, Father Philip Le officiating. Dorice Melanson Dorice Melanson, 70, wife of Adelard Melanson, of Moncton, passed away Wednesday November 12, 2003 at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 12, 1933 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Maximilien, and Délina (Vautour) Saulnier. To Dorice, the most important thing in her life was her loving family. She had a passion for flowers, and creative works such as crafts. Her work has left us many treasured memories. She is survived by her husband Adelard, to whom she was married for 51 years; five children, Joanne, Robert (Bernice), Roger (Linda), Daniel, and Micheal all of Moncton; nine grandchildren, Chantal, Marcel, Mathieu, Bernie, Jason, Carol, Shawn, Justin, Jeremy; three sisters, Irene Thériault, and Jeannine Green (Kevin) of Ontario, Doreen Daigle of Moncton; six brothers, Frank (Thérèse) of Mass., Emery (Mai) of Notre-Dame, Jean-Paul (Dina) of Moncton, Donald (Jeannine) of Caissie Cape, Alcide (Barbara), and Rev. Alfred (Bertine) of Ontario, several nieces, and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A sister Corinne LeBlanc (1988), and a brother Roger Saulnier (1995) predeceased her. Born in Eastern Passage she was a daughter of the late William and Pearl (Bayers) White. She attended St. Ann's Anglican Church. Joyce will be sadly missed by fourdaughters, Sandra MacDonald (Douglas) of Perth, ON, Mary King (Austin) Dorchester, Nancy Blakney, Dorchester, Gretchen Greene (Terence) Frosty Hollow; two sons, George (Connie) Sackville and Keith (Joanne) Sackville; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters, Gloreen White and Gwendlyn Clements both of Eastern Passage, NS. She was predeceased by her husband, Tom Carter in 1988; infant children, Patricia Agnes and Suzanne Marie; son-in-law William Blakney. RIOUX, Donna Diane 1964-2003 On November 6th, 2003, our beloved daughter, Donna Diane Rioux (Klepachek) was tragically taken from us. She leaves to mourn her two precious children, Stephanie and Mitch; her loving parents, Peter and Jean Klepachek of Kamloops; her sister, Betty (Glen) Rumley and niece Heather and nephew Duncan, all of Courtenay, B.C.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Alberta and British Columbia. All of Donna's many friends in the Dog Training Association; The Tritan Swim Club and the Karate Club will greatly miss her. Donna will be remembered for her avid competitive spirit in dog shows in Canada and the United States. Donna loved the great outdoors and hiking. Bill McLoughlin, devoted husband of Marion and loving father of Rae Ann and Paul, died on December 22, 2000, a day before his 76th birthday. He is survived in England by sisters Molly, Win and Thelma and brother Austin. A proud soldier who landed on the beaches of Normandy, he battled cancer valiantly for the last 20 years of his life. Bill was provided extraordinary comfort in his final weeks by the staff of the Vanier Ward of the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre. WOODHOUSE, GERTRUDE L. - The death of Gertrude L. "Trudy" Woodhouse of Saint John, widow of John D. "Jack" Woodhouse, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, November 12, 2003. Mrs. Woodhouse was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late James D. and Gertrude H. (Connolly) McKellop. Trudy graduated from St. Vincent's Girls' High School and then completed the Commercial Course at Saint John Vocational School. She graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital Radiology School and was employed in the X-Ray Dept. of St. Joseph's Hospital until her marriage. After the birth of her first child she became a devoted stay at home mom, and raised four beautiful children. After the death of her life's partner she re-entered the work force and worked at the Saint John Regional Hospital as desk secretary in the Cardiac Department for 19 years until her retirement last year. She is survived by two sons, Peter (Kathy) and Paul (Mary), both of Saint John; two daughters, Sharon Woodhouse (Brad McNeill) of Quispamsis, and Patti-Lynn Taylor (Donnie) of New Dominion, P.E.I.; one sister, Sharon Savoie of Quispamsis; eight grandchildren; one niece, Janice Savoie; and two nephews, Grant and Eric Savoie. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Né à Montréal le 16 août 1925, il était fils de feu Alain T. LeBlanc et de feu Florence Bourque (née Carroll). Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Florence (Dupuis) LeBlanc; deux filles: Anne (Gilles Hebert) de Bouctouche et Sylvia de Montréal; un fils, Bernard de Calgary; deux petits-enfants: Stéphanie et Daniel, ainsi que son ex-épouse Bernadette. Un fils, Jules, ainsi qu’une fille, Rose-Marie, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. M. LeBlanc a servi outre-mer avec la marine pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, membre et ancien président de la Légion royale du Canada, filiale # 43 de Bouctouche. Devenu avocat en 1962, il a pratiqué le droit à Bouctouche et à Moncton. Il était ancien partenaire avec la firme LeBlanc Boucher Rodger Bourque à Moncton et directeur et officier avec plusieurs organisations d’affaires. Born August 16, 1925 in Montréal, he was the son of the late Alain T. LeBlanc, and Florence Bourque (née Carroll). He was a veteran of W.W. II, having served with the Royal Canadian Navy, a member, and past president of Royal Canadian Legion, Bouctouche Branch No. 43. Admitted to the Bar in 1962, he practiced law in Bouctouche, and Moncton. He was a former senior partner with LeBlanc Boucher Rodger Bourque - Moncton, Director and Officer of several business organizations, past Judge of the Provincial Court of New Brunswick, founding member and first President of Bouctouche Lions Club, Zone Chaiman, deputy district Governer and District Governor for all New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. He was well known for his dedication by many Lions of Richibouctou, Rexton, Bouctouche, Saint-Antoine, Shediac, Cap-Pelé, and Sackville. Past representative on the Board of Directors of the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Regional Hospital, past member of the executive committee and chairman of the Hospital's prestigious finance committee. He was also active in all levels of the P.C. Party since 1955. He is survived by his wife, Florence (Dupuis) LeBlanc; daughters, Anne (Gilles Hebert) of Bouctouche, Sylvia of Montréal; a son, Bernard of Calgary; grandchildren, Stéphanie, Daniel, and his former wife, Bernadette. Harris R. Mitton 1921-2003 Harris R. Mitton 82, of Moncton passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday November 11, 2003. Born in Middle Coverdale, Harris was the eldest son of the late Beverly J. and Laura (Wood) Mitton. Harris will be remembered for his active involvement in the community including the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation, Central United Church, the Moncton Friendship Club, Keith Lodge #23 F & AM and the Moncton Probus Club. He was also a member of the Moncton Golf and Country Club and the Beaver Curling Club. A champion curler Harris represented New Brunswick at the 1953 Briar and Nova Scotia at the 1979 Canadian Senior Curling Championships and he was never one to turn down a good game of bridge or cribbage. A veteran of the 2nd World War, he served overseas with The Canadian Army and was a respected businessman throughout the Maritime Provinces. He is survived by his wife, Helen (Honey) (McKee) Mitton; five children, Janet Samuels (Cliff), Nancy Adams (Brian), Claire Mitton, Allison Mitton all of Calgary, Ross Mitton (Karen), Windsor, ON. Passed away on December 22, 2000 in Quebec City at the age of sixty-four. He leaves his sisters Gabrielle Boucher MacPhee, Beverley Bishop Asikiyan (Harold). Nieces, Sandra MacPhee Biron (Armand), Miranda Asikiyan and great-nephew Jason and great-neice Melody. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses petits-enfants, Michelle et Jeff tous deux de Chelmsford. Lui survivent, plusieurs nièces et neveux. Roland sera grandement manqué de tous. M. Baril était un mécanicien à la retraite ayant travaillé auprès de la filiale "McIsaac Industries Limited". Roland était membre honoraire de la Légion Royal Canadienne, filiale 553, Chelmsford.
