BROWN, ALBERT JAMES - The death of Albert James Brown of Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, formerly of Kingston, husband of Roseilea F. (Northrup) Brown occurred November 8, 2003 at his residence. He was born at Birmingham, England, son of the late Albert James and Elizabeth (Lilley) Brown. He came to Canada at the age of fourteen and lived with an Aunt in Fredericton. During his years in Canada he held several positions. In the 1950's he worked as a Stationary Engineer at Camp Sussex and Camp Gagetown until his health caused his retirement in 1965. Back in the early 1960's he also studied law through correspondence. Albert was a Justice of the Peace. He put his stamp on many legal documents. He then engaged in farming in the Knightville area. Albert was a veteran of World War II serving overseas with the 1st Canadian Paratroop Battalion. He was a baker in the Woodstock area before he went to war. Albert loved music and loved to sing. In the years he worked as a baker he also sang in local barn dances and was known as "Red the Wrangler". He sang with Kid Baker and also baked with him. Albert ran in two elections, one as an Independent. He was leader of the Canada Party in the 1970's. In the 1980's he became an officer with S.P.C.A. until his retirement in the 1990's. Albert will always be remembered for his sense of wit and his love of animals. He always wanted to help those who were in trouble. He will be greatly missed. Survived besides his wife are one son James Stanley Brown of Knightville; daughter Anthea Doyle (Joe) of Mount Middleton; fourstep-daughters Carla Jade Weaver-Marr( Paul) of Browns Flat, Helen D. MacKinnon (Paul) of Kingston, Jennifer J. Townsend of Kingston,Cathy Northrup of Ontario: several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Mary (Harris) Brown in 1984. Albert came from a family of five boys and four girls. There will be no visiting by request. BOYER, Napoleon-90, Halifax, passed away November 9, 2003, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Sudbury, Ont., he was the son of the late Osism and Margaret (Chalk) Boyer. He was employed as a miner with INCO, retiring in 1968. He then worked for the City of Sudbury for Pioneer Manors. He had a great sense of humour and loved to make people laugh. He loved life to the fullest, and his passion was baking and cooking. He was the last surviving member of his imêmediate family. Nicholas Point Council 4375 Knights of Columbus and was an avid gardener. Visiting Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. K. of C. prayers Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Parish prayers Wed. at 8:30 p.m. The funeral will be held on Thursday, November 13th at 9:45 a.m. from the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh (735-2830) to St. Gregory the Great Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Pat Fuerth will be the celebrant. Interment at St. Anne Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy, a donation to the Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation Western Campus-Palliative Care Unit, 1995 Lens Ave., Windsor N8W 1L9 would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Leonard Campeau in the Marcotte Heritage Forest a dedication service will be held on September 26, 2004. All are welcome.

HACHE, LEO JOSEPH - Age 87 of Saint John, NB passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 8, 2003. Leo was born on December 24, 1915 in St. Isidore, NB, son of the late Mathias and Elizabeth (LeBreton) Hache, husband of the late Dorina (Cormier) Hache. He was a resident of Saint John since 1944, having worked as a hospital orderly for 40 years, 4 years in Bathurst and 36 years at the Saint John TB Hospital. He is survived by one son, Ronald (Susan) Hache of Saint John; four sisters, Leona Hache of St. Isidore, Anita Langevin of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Emelina (Claude) Godin of St. Eustache, Quebec, Flora (Oscar) Leblanc of New York, USA and one brother, Gerard of Montreal, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Lauza, Ernestine and Mary Ann. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday, November 11, 2003, 2-4 & 7-9 pm. LOGGIE, Melvin, On November 8, 2003 with his loving family by his side at 85 years of age. Predeceased by his wife, Barbara (2000). Loving father of Lois (Jim Flannigan), Melva (Stanley Kizul), James (Ruth), Terry (Lori), Betty (Stephen Kohut), and Brent (Cheryl). Melvin is survived by siblings Leigh, Bernice, Jackie, Thelma, Shirley, Willa, and Nita and predeceased by brother Boyd and sister Nan. Melvin ser ved in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps during World War II and worked many years at Port Weller Dry Docks as a crane operator.
