Adored grandmother of Stephanie-Anne Laborie (Rob), Sonja-Lee St. Jacques, Stevan A. H. Mandy, R. Spencer A. Mandy (Roseanna) and Kimberley Hair. AMY PRUDEN (nee BEAUBIEN) Suddenly at her residence on Friday, October 10, 2003, our beloved mother and grandmother Amy Pruden passed away at the age of 76 years. Mom was employed for over 25 years at the St. Boniface Hospital. Independence was important to her, and she kept it until the end. Mom was witty, possessing a great sense of humour and "in her day" she loved to dance. Family meant everything to her, and she worked hard at raising her four children. Thanks Mom! Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jo-Ann (Laurie) Creighton and children, Dirk (Dulce), Nicolle and Natalie; Patti (George) Lanaway; Michelle (Patrick) Barber and children, Dylan and Brittany; her son Mark (Joedi) Pruden and children, Cole, Morgan, Maxwell and Joshua. Also survived by one sister Laura Reid, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members. A special thank you to Mom's home care regulars over the last few years, Estelle and Monique. WILCOX, PHYLLIS ERNA - Phyllis Erna Wilcox, 87, of Deep Cove, Grand Manan, passed away at the Grand Manan Hospital Sunday evening October 12th. Born in Seal Cove, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rhoda (Foster) Nelson. Mrs. Wilcox was a devoted mother, an avid gardener and loved to work in her many beautiful flower beds around her home. She also worked for a short time as the assistant light keeper of Southern Head Light on Grand Manan, a member of the Seal Cove Baptist Church, and served as the Secretary Treasurer of the Sunday School for several years, and a member of the Womans Missionary Society. Mrs. Wilcox is survived by one daughter Elaine Maker (Rodger) of Deep Cove, one brother George Nelson (Geraldine) of Seal Cove, two grandchildren Andrew Maker of Seal Cove and Kevin Maker of North Head, as well as nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wilcox was predeceased by her husband Forrest Sherwood Wilcox (1987), one sister Vera Fleet, and one brother Elgie Nelson. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Seal Cove Baptist Church on Monday evening 7-9 PM, and on Tuesday 2-4 PM, 7-9 PM from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, at 1:00 PM with Rev. Robert Trites officiating, with interment to follow in the family plot in Hillside Cemetery, Seal Cove. RN Jan. 23, 1908-Oct. 12, 2003 Ella Gertrude Smith, former Director of Nursing at Kingston Psychiatric Hospital (Ontario Hospital) and former active member of Zonta Club, Louise Rebekah Lodge #10 and several charitable organizations. E lla Smith and her good friend Mildred Blackadder were active promoters of the Zion Complex at 106 Pine Street. Later she became a resident, a member of the Board and continued her active participation at Zion United Church. Miss Smith was predeceased by her parents, Eva Emily Coulter and Arthur Thomas Smith, her sisters Lena Alton, Mamie Patterson and Aleda Ashley and one brother Charles Stewart Smith. She is survived by her loving nephew Russel Patterson his wife Sharon and their sons, Timothy, his wife Christine and daughter Carly, and Christopher Patterson. LAPORTE, Norma (nee Little) 70years, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2003 at University Hospital in London surrounded by her family and close friends. The angels in Heaven are rejoicing today for they have a new member within their ranks. Loving mother of Brian and wife Julie of London, Gary and wife Joan of Tecumseh, John Marc and wife Kim and Danny and wife Teresa. Survived by husband Rene. Treasured Nana to Louis, Natalie, Katie, Sam, Gracie, Andrew and Marc. Predeceased by parents Joseph Raymond (1975) and Martha (Labute) (2001) Little. Cherished sister/sister-in-law of Janet and Maurice Poirier of Essex; Bernice and Ted (1986) Merner; Marvin and Annette Little of Okanagan Falls, B.C.; Bob (2003) and Annette Little of LaSalle; Ron and Donna Little; Paul and Janice (2001) Little, London; Lorraine and Tom Boutette of London. Best friend of Sister Paulette Mellon. Many nieces and nephews will sadly miss "Auntie Norma" for whom she held a special bond. Norma was always "on the go" and will be fondly remembered by many dear friends whose lives she touched with her infectious laugh, bright smile and open heart. Norma took all her roles in life very seriously. Be it family for friend, she belonged to everyone who knew her. Norma's gifted organizational skills made her an exceptional secretary. She worked for the YCS and YCW for many years and for the Windsor Separate School Board for over 30 years at several different schools. The many teachers, staff and hundreds of students that she encountered will never forget her for her senses of commitment, dedication and wonderful caring nature. She was an active member of Theatre Alive. Norma was small in stature but she was so grand in spirit that she defeated cancer for 24 years and succumbed only to the completeness of her life. Warm and sincere thanks and gratitude go to Sister Paulette Mellon, Sister Eileen Marie Hunter, Robert, Claire and all the Sisters at Holy Rosary Convent, and all who visited and cared for her in the last while. SANSOM, WILLIAM LLYMAN - William Llyman Sansom of 6 Argyle Street Campbellton passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, October 11, 2003. Born in Campbellton December 27, 1917 son of the late Havelock Sansom and Annabel Short. He worked for 35 years as Yard Master for C.N.R. Survived by his wife Mary Jean Sansom nee Hamilton, children: Joan Sansom Mississauga, Ont., companion Jim Bagley, Paul (Linda) Sansom Pinawa Man, Dennis (Diane) Sansom Bothwell Ont. Susan (Victor) Morin Quispamsis, NB, Mary (John) Polegi Grand Prairie Alb, Scott (Linda) Sansom Darthmouth, NS. Grandchildren: Stefan, Sarah, Kevin Morin, Brett, Colin Sansom, Kerry Dalzell, Peter Sansom, Laurie and Andrew Gaudin. Predeceased by mother, father, brothers, sister, and grandson Bradley Sansom. Funeral service for Mr. Sansom will be held Thursday October 16 at Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton with Rev. Oline-Ann Archibald officiating.

Murray James Reeves WALLACE, NS - Murray James Reeves, 74, of Wallace, NS, passed away peacefully at his residence October 11, 2003. Born in Richmond, NS, he was a son of the late Harold and Ella (Taylor) Reeves. He worked for the Canadian National Railway for 38 years, both in New Glasgow and Moncton. He was a member of the Wallace # 76 A.F. & A.M. Masonic Lodge and a member of St. John's United Church and the St. John's United Chuch Men's Club. He was also the treasurer at the Wallace and Area Museum. He loved the outdoors, especially gardening, enjoyed car racing and was an avid reader. Surviving are his wife, Irma (Langille); sons, Paul (Nancy), St. Andrews, NB, James (Lynda), Malagash; daughter-in-law, Nicole Reeves, Moncton; sisters, Evelyn (Don) MacLeod, New Glasgow, Isabel Trenholm, Malagash; brothers, Albert (Kaye), Kenneth (Joan), Malagash, Clifford (Pat), Westville, Malcolm (Cheryl), Malagash; grandchildren, Dylan, Hudson, Rebecca, Jason, Jocelyne; many neices and nephews. Predeceased by son, Jack; sisters, Loretta Dawn Reeves, Elizabeth Delrose Reeves; brother Winston; cousin, Joan Reeves. No visitation or funeral service by family request. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Wallace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. ROGERS, ELDON THOMAS (CAPTAIN) - At his residence on October 13, 2003 Captain Eldon Thomas Rogers of Collins Street Saint John West husband of the late Edna (Atkinson) Rogers. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late William and Grace (Bennett) Rogers. Mr. Rogers owned D.M.K. Marine Services Ltd. He was a member of the I.L.A., the Wharf Rats and Saint John Power Boat Club. He received the Order of New Brunswick Business Award Community Involvement. He was a benefactor of many charities involving children and minor sports. He is survived by three sons David (Mary Ann) and their children; Nathan, Silas and Julia, Mark (Lori) and their children; Katie-Anne and Marcus, Keith (Cindy) and their children; Lynda and Patrick, two daughters; Carol McMullin and her children; Matthew and Nicholas, daughter Kathy Rogers, daughter-in-law Cathy Thorne and her children; Ellen and Jason, son-in-law Roger Gallant and his children; David, Andrew and Jennifer, sister Evelyn Speight, cousins Mary Rita White, aunt Lillian Leore, sister-in-law Elaine (Totty) Mullin and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by beloved wife Edna, son Eldon Jr., daughters Linda and Julia and brothers and sisters; Ralph, Francis, Louis, Harry, Charles, Edwin, Helen Clark and Marion Nauss. Resting at the Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). A service of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Thursday October 16, 2003 at 10 am. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Dolores Bourgeois 1932 - 2003 DOVER, NB - Dolores Bourgeois, 71, of Dover, passed away on Monday October 13, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Pré-d'En-Haut, she was the daughter of the late Rene and Irene (née: LeBlanc) LeBlanc. She was a member of the Club d'Age d'Or de St. Anselme, Legion de Marie, member of the choir and parishioner of the St. Anselme Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Bourgeois is survived by three daughters; Rachel (Gerald) Brun of Caissie Cape, Francine (Michel) Belliveau of Dieppe and Annette Bourgeois of Dover; two sons: Jean (Annie) of Dieppe and Gilles (Bernice) of Fox Creek; one sister, Yolande Belliveau of St. Anselme; three grandchildren: Rhéal, Julie and Joline (Pierre); four great grandchildren: Marc, Marie-France, Sebastien and Justin as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald in 2001. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Thursday October 16, 2003 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9pm.
