(Hatt). Passed away on August 3, 2003 at the age of ninety-three. She was born in Windsor, Nova Scotia where she grew up and attended school. She later moved to St. John, New Brunswick and attended St. John Vocational school. During most of her stay in St. John, she was employed by the New Brunswick Museum as a secretary. She was married to Arthur Macumber in 1941. She is survived by her daughter Beverley (John Lapare) in Port Hope, her son David (Jocelyn) in Calgary, and her grandchildren Laurel, Stephanie, Roxanne, Apryl, Sean and Lance, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. She is a member of Lakeside Heights Baptist Church in Pointe Claire. She was well loved by many. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux, (514) 685-3344. Katharine died peacefully in the hospital on Saturday, August 2, 2003, at the age of 63, after many years of living courageously with cancer. Beloved wife of Marcel Biolley. Dear daughter of Air Vice Marshal Ralph and Mrs. Gertrude McBurney and sister of Peter and David. Many family, friends and colleagues will fondly remember Katharine. The family wishes to extend their most heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lothar Heubsch, his team and the nursing staff at the General Hospital for treatment and care that gave Katharine quality of life beyond all expectations. Thanks to family, friends and neighbours that enriched her life, especially during the last few weeks. Katharine lived and worked in the Gatineau Hills for most of her life and will always remain there close to her beautiful house and gardens. A private family service followed by a public memorial service will be held at a later date. In Kelowna, B.C., passed away suddenly on July 31, 2003. He was born in Quebec on April 9, 1944. Brian was predeceased by his son Philip in 1991. Survived by his loving wife Nancy of twenty-six years, son Ryan, his brothers Richard (Mary), John (Cheryl), and Peter, his sisters Moonyean Anderson-Oberlander, Susana Dougherty and Christine Dougherty. Brian was an avid horseman and when he and his family moved from Quebec to BC in 1988, he fell in love with the sport of "Cutting" and over the next few years, he hauled his cutting horses down the road to the various shows. She died suddenly but peacefully at Tabor Manor on Sunday, August 3, 2003 in her 85th year. Bessie was a real sports fan - having been a long time member of Lookout Point Golf Cl ub and was a staunch supporter of her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays.
