Dearly loved mother of Don Thur (wife Mary), Huntsville; and Elaine Schenk (husband John), Pembroke. Nana to David, Bonnie, Kelli, Andrew, Brian and families. Great-grandmother to Kurt and Colby. Daughter of the late Otto and Mathilde Bimm (nee Biederman). Predeceased by sister Aldena Hampel and brother Gerald Bimm. Also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhamêmer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Monday. Samson's warmth, charm and passion for life touched so many - he will never be forgotten.

LeBLANC, Laurence (Larry), Laurier Passed away peacefully on August 1st, 2003. Predeceased by his sisters, Anita Cole, he is survived by his loving children Louise (Marc) Lepage, Maurice (Kwangja) LeBlanc, David LeBlanc and Anita (Peter) Schill, by his sisters, Lillian Henderson, Gloria (Ralph) Cumbleton and brother Henry LeBlanc, as well as 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born July 27, 1923, a graduate of St. Louis College, Victoria, B.C., remembered for his excellent athletic and musical accomplishments (Wanderers of the Wasteland, Joy Boys), he then served as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force-Special Group; he later became a long-term employee of International Pipeline Ltd. (Edmonton), pursuing countless hours as an avid ham radio operator. His passion for sports and music are amply reflected in his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. An informal commemorative reception will take place between 10:00 and 11:30 Wednesday August 6, 2003 at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria. A chapel will be available for quiet reflection along with a book for your personal thoughts, messages or reflections.

LeBLANC, Lucy Agnes-94, East Margaree, died August 2, 2003, in Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. Born in Margaree, she was a daughter of the late Simon M. and Marie Anne (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. She was a member of St. Michael Church, Margaree. Lucy was employed for many years in Massachusetts and retired at the family home in 1978. She is survived by brother, Hubert (Margaret), East Margaree; sisters, Emma (Maurice) Dunn, Margaree Harbour; Alice LeBlanc, Pere Fiset Guest Home, Cheticamp; one nephew; five nieces. She was predeceased by brother, Simon LeBlanc; sisters, Phyllis Mitchell and Marie Ellen Micheaux. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today with funeral mass 10:30 a.m. Monday, both in St. Michael Church, Margaree, Father Peter Mac-Leod officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery. LIZEE, LAURENT ( While surrounded by his family, Laurent Henri Lizee lost his courageous battle with cancer on July 30, 2003. Laurent leaves to mourn his soul mate and loving wife of 21 years, Carmen. He leaves precious memories for his devoted children, Ethen and Jasmene (Prince Albert) and Jeremie (Gina) (Saskatoon); his mother, Lucille (Gravelbourg); grandmother, Alina Bachelu (Elie) (Lafleche); two sisters and one brother, Rosalie (Gilles), Yvette (Robert) and Camille (Rona) (Regina); and his parents-in-law, Irene and Alex Lepage (St. Denis). He also leaves to mourn Carmen's family including many sisters and brothers (in-law), nieces and nephews, along with a host of other relatives, close friends and co-workers that will miss him dearly. Laurent was predeceased by his father, Henri on January 7, 2003; and his grandfather; Maurice Bachelu; and grandparents, Anna & Irenee Lizee. Laurent was born on July 18, 1962 and although he passed away as such a young man, he has made such an impact on the lives of those who had the privilege to know him. We will remember him for his love of God's creation, his strength and leadership, his sense of humour and his deep love for his family. He has been an inspiration to us all. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2003 at Gray's Funeral Chapel. James Milfred Allan Scott Passed away at Belleville General Hospital on Friday, June 6, 2003 in his 74th year. Allan was born at Arden, Ontario on October 22, 1929- he was the youngest son of the late Sadie and David James Scott. Allan is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Evelyn (nee Miller) of 44 years. He was the loving father of Stephanie Goodfellow and her husband Terry and grandfather to his treasured grandson Nicholas. He leaves his brother Fred and sister-in-law Muriel of Kings ton. Also several nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Allan was the son-in-law of Mrs. Florence Miller of Northbrooke, Ontario. Allan worked for several years with Ontario Hydro Construction and later with the Quinte Real Estate B oard as an Associate Broker until his retirement due to ill health. He was a member of St. Andrew's Lodge #497 at Tamworth, Ontario. Family and friends were received at the Belleville Funeral Home on June 10th, 2003 where the service was held in the Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Harold Wilson officiating. The eulogy was given by a family friend Shelley Courneya Robertson. She spoke how Allan was an avid outdoorsman, his interest in sports, playing cards and his love for his family. (nee Armstrong). Peacefully in Ottawa on Wednesday, July 30, 2003, after a short illness, at the age of ninety-five, Florence Young, formerly of Quebec City. A woman of grace and dignity, Mom was the beloved wife of the late Harold Young and the loving mother of William Young (Sandra), of Hudson, PQ, and Cameron Young (Anne) of Victoria, B.C. "Baba" was the cherished grandmother of Kerry, Michael (Mikhaela), and Jennifer, and the great-grandmother of Maddison. She is survived by her sister Ruth Hardie and sister-in-law Florence Armstrong. Mom's life was long and rich, and she will be missed. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, on Friday, August 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, August 2 from 1 p.m. until time of service in the chapel at 3 p.m. Reception to follow in the McGarry Family Reception Centre. Predeceased by her husband David, she leaves fond memories for her children Robert, Ronald, Deborah (Gilles Bernard) and their families. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her faithful friend Mike Collins (Pat) and his family. The family would like to thank the helpful, kind nurses and staff are Carewest and her wonderful homecare nurses Lindy and Marie-Lynn. A private service will be held at a later date. Born in Visna Pisana, Czechoslovakia, she came to Canada in 1935 and was a life long resident of Thorold and for the past 3 years St. Catharines. She leaves her lovin g children Michael Denson (Phoenix, AZ) and Mary Zuberec (Michael). Peter her husband predeceased her in 1972. She was much loved by her grandchildren Christopher, Stephan, Philip and Sarah Zuberec, Lynda, Diana and Marc Denson of Arizona. She is sur vived by eleven great-grandchildren.
