LEPAGE, Maurice Joseph Bernard, Published: 07/14/2003 Regina, SK LEPAGE_Maurice Joseph Bernard, late of Regina, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2003 in the Regina General Hospital at the age of 71 years. He is predeceased by his parents Colin and Marie, brothers Laurier and Henry, parents-in-law Charles and Anna Massier, sister-in-law Estelle LePage and brothers-in-law Stuart Wells and Rene Lavoie. Maurice is survived by his loving wife Joan of Regina; children Michelle (Gerry) Redl of Saskatoon, Colette (Keith) Stefan and Nicole (Kevin) Almassy, all of Regina; grandchildren Britni Redl, Aaron and Tyler Almassy, Mackenzie and Madison Stefan; sisters Yvette Wells, Annette (Lionel) Loiselle, all of Saskatoon, Therese Lavoie of Vancouver; brothers Wilfrid (Loretta) of Prudhomme, Sk. and Antoine (Genevieve) of Montreal; sisters-in-law June LePage and Jan (Jim) Ursu, all of Regina; brother-in-law Gary (Dianne) Massier of Lethbridge; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, good neighbours and many close friends. Maurice was owner and operator of LePage's Tire Corral where he proudly served his many loyal customers for over thirty years. His many interests included horse racing, sports (particularly the Montreal Canadiens), travelling, fishing, and playing cards and board games. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Family and friends were especially important to Maurice and Joan and were always welcome in their home. He will be forever remembered and missed by all who knew him. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. in Little Flower R.C. Church, 420 College Ave., Regina, Sk. with Rev. Bill Mahoney Celebrant. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Il laisse dans le deuil une soeur, Alphonsine (Emile LeBouthillier) de Saint-Simon; deux belles-soeurs: Gertrude Mallet de Saint-Simon et Irma Mallet de Saint-Léolin, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Deux soeurs: Yvonne et Victorine, ainsi que trois frères: Richard, Aurèle et Jaddus, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 14h, le lundi 14 juillet, à la Maison funéraire Racicot de Caraquet. Loved son of Eva (Sonier) & the late Joseph Donat Basque of Tracadi, New Brunswick. "Mic" Joseph Basque leaves behind a very large family that spans throughout Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick. BATHURST-À l’Hôpital régional Chaleur de Bathurst, le samedi 12 juillet 2003, à l’âge de 83 ans, est décédé après une courte maladie Hyacinthe Duguay, domicilié à la Villa Chaleur de Bathurst, mais autrefois d’Allardville. Né à Petite-Lamèque, il était fils de feu Hyacinthe et de Pelaggie (Noël) Duguay. Outre son épouse, Florida Savoie, il laisse dans le deuil six fils: Ludovic de Colombie-Britannique, Everette (Irène Plourde), André (Jeanne Mance), Norval, Osillas (Raymonde) et Hermel, tous d’Allardville; une fille, Alma Rose Duguay Basque (Jean François) d’Allardville; deux filleuls: Claudine Guignard et Ronald McLaughlin, ainsi que 17 petits-enfants, cinq arrière-petits-enfants et plusieurs neveux et nièces. Un fils, Ronald Théo, ainsi que deux filles: Adrienne et Jeanne D’Arc, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. M. Duguay était la dernière personne vivante de sa famille immédiate. Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il a servi avec l’Armée royale canadienne au Canada et à l’étranger. Il était membre de la Légion royale canadienne de Bathurst, Herman J. Good, section 18. Il a travaillé pour le ministère des Ressources naturelles. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la Maison funéraire Elhatton de Bathurst (www.elhatton.com). On Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus, Intensive Care Unit, in her 36th year. Caroline Anne McGee passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness associated with diabetes and kidney disease. Caroline will be sadly missed by her daughters Sarah and Jennifer (Estabrooks), her parents Eleanor and Henry McGee, her brother Michael, dear friend Steven Flinn, many relatives in Niagara, Hamilton and Western Canada, and her many friends and acquaintances in the Kemptville and Ottawa areas. Special thanks to the staff at ICU and the Ottawa General Rehabilitation and Dialysis Units for their loving care; the Kemptville and Winchester Hospitals; and the OPP and ambulance units which responded to her needs at various times. Colette Turcotte Wilson (nee Nadon) dearly loved mother of Jean Harcus (Peter) of Mississauga, Joan Ongaro (Max) of Kelowna, British Columbia, Jesse Lance (Johanne Cuerrier) of Carp, Anita Turcotte (Henry Pietersma) of Toronto, Colette Stanisci (Peter) of Mattawa, Earl Turcotte of Ottawa, Michael Turcotte (Rhonda) of Wasaga Beach, Lynn Turcotte (Michael Westley) of Mattawa, and Glenn Turcotte (Deborah) of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Predeceased by her first husband Sidney Turcotte, second husband Clarence Wilson and daughters Catherine and infant Claudette, her parents Damasse and Alphena Nadon (nee Chenier), and brothers Leo and Archie Nadon and one sister, Ernestine McCarey. Colette was a longtime businesswoman along with her husband Sid, founders of Sid Turcotte Park and Upper Ottawa Air Service. She was first elected to Mattawa Town Council in 1985 and became Mayor in 1987 until her retirement in November 2000. In addition, she was an active member of St. Anne's English Choir (organist), the C.W.L., Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Hospital Auxiliary, Golden Age Club, Over 55 Club and also Centennial, Sumêmer Festival and Annie's Park Committees. As Mayor, Colette oversaw the rebuilding of the Main Street, new Travel Information Centre, new Town Hall, improvements to the Mattawa Community Centre as well as various other capital projects and improvements to water and other services. She was a prime mover in landscaping the Main Street and Waterfront and personally oversaw the planting of each tree and shrub. There is no doubt that her love of Mattawa showed in everything she accomplished. BADEAU, LIONEL J. The death of Lionel Badeau of Mazerolle Settlement, NB, husband of the late K. Germaine (Boyce) Badeau occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton on Saturday, July 12, 2003. Mr. Badeau was born January 20, 1929, in Lac Mégantic, Québec. He was a son of the late Victor Badeau and Marie Louise Lavallée. He was employed for 30 years with the Province of New Brunswick. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Fredericton. He was a Past Grand Knight and an Honorary Life Member of Council 1942 of the Knights of Columbus, a Past President of the Capital Branch of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society and a member of la Société de généalogie de Québec. He is survived by four daughters, Mary-Ellen Badeau, Anne-Marie Pond (Leland), Rose Green (Robert) and Julie Tapley (Floyd); two sons, Victor Badeau (Jeanne) and Edward Badeau (Nathalie); seven grandchildren, Daniel (Sheri), Andrew and Nicole Green, Emilie Badeau, Ryan Tapley, Kathleen and Meaghan Pond; five sisters, Denise McCarthy (Robert), Juliette Coholan (Donald); Louise Hebert, Margaret Wallace (Joseph), Claire Gogan (David) and one brother, Real Badeau (Margaret). He was predeceased by two sisters, Jeanne Theriault and Cecile Boyce and five brothers, Robert, Emile, Rosaire, Leo and Roger Badeau. Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Sunday, July 13, from 79 p.m. and on Monday, July 14, from 24 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at 1 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Hanwell Road, Fredericton with Fr. Ralph McRae officiating. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Hanwell, NB.
