Mme Irène Joyal Pelletier laisse dans le deuil un frère et deux sœurs : feue sœur Rose-Aimée, feu Léonard (Colombe Marchand), feu Éméria, feue Claire, feu Viateur (Yvette Villiard), Ida (Rosaire Blain), Denise et Edgar (Simone Laramée); beaux-frères et belles-sœurs de la famille Pelletier : Rose-Anne et Rosaire, ainsi que ses neveux et nièces. ENVER, Salih Mr. Salih Enver, long time resident of Sudbury and community leader, passed away Sunday, June 29th, 2003, at the age of 55 years, peacefully in his sleep at Kitchener, Ontario, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Enver was born in Nicosia, Cyprus August 4th, 1947. He came to Sudbury in 1978. He was employed at Inco until his retirement three years ago. He then moved to Kitchener to be close to his extended family. His achievements were many in his short life. He was a board member of the Sudbury Multi-Cultural Association for seventeen years and finally served as President for seven years. Salih Enver was active in starting the anti-racism campaign in Sudbury and encouraged the youth in the community to become more involved in community events and activities. Salih was a member of Local 6500 Steel Workers Union and was past president of the Labor Council of Sudbury. He was the President of the Islamic Association of Sudbury and under his leadership the first Mosque in Northeastern Ontario was built. He was secretary of the Turkish-Canadian Friendship Association. No matter where the disasters in the world were, Salih Enver could be counted on to be the first to rally everyone into collecting funds or supplies in aid, as he did during the Armenian earth quake and collecting for the Bosnian Croation relief funds. He leaves behind his wife Akile of Kitchener, son Ozan, daughter Ceylan and husband Hussain Turkeri, granddaughter Denize and mother Fatima and one brother Ismail Enver and two sisters Ayshe Remzi and Pembe Irfan, all of Kitchener. A trust fund has been set up in his name. A Memorial Service has been arranged in memory of Mr. Enver at the Sudbury Mosque, 755 Churchill Ave., Sudbury on Friday July 4th at 7 p.m. Friends may make contributions to the trust fund at that time. GRAFF, John John Edward Graff of Grand Bend passed away at the Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, June 24, 2003. Beloved husband of Dorothy Graff. Dear father of Richard and Marjorie Graff of Stratford and Robert and Susan Graff of Kingston. Belo ved by granddaughter Katie Ann Graff and grandson Sean Graff. He served during the Second World War as a flight lieutenant and in the dental corps in occupied Germany in 1952. Reed: Henry Arnold 1914 - 2003 Henry Arnold Reed passed away peacefully June 5, 2003 at the age of 88 in the Drumheller Hospital. Henry was born in Swift Current, SK on July 8, 1914. Henry was raised with his family of 3 sisters and 4 brothers on a farm in Rankin School District 10 miles south of Eatonia, SK. In the 30's when times were tough on the farm Henry and his brothers Ollie, Herb and John went out selling Singer sewing machines. Later Henry rode the freights and worked in the bush in Ontario. Henry eventually made his way back to the family farm where in 1941 he met and married Vera Van Buskirk. Henry and Vera resided on his family farm until 1947. He then purchased land near Mantario, SK. Henry and Vera farmed there until 1963. Henry decided farming in Alberta would produce better crops, as everyone knows "It rains more in Alberta". Henry then bought a farm in Delia, AB in partnership with Russ Dearbourne. It is there he moved his family to spend the rest of this farming years. Henry loved to farm and was a farmer through and through, which he proved when he finally gave up the tractor at the age of 85 years. Henry and Vera then retired to Drumheller. Henry and his family spent many years farming in Delia and wintering in Calgary where Henry enjoyed curling at the Calgary Winter Club and playing the odd game of Rummy and Smear with his curling buddies. Henry and Vera travelled extensively and saw many sites and much scenery. In 1972 they started spending winters in Mesa, Arizona where Henry loved to golf, grow roses and watch his orange tree produce oranges. Henry possessed a great sense of humour which seemed to draw people to him. He was easy going and never lost his temper. He always had a song to sing and on special occasions would yodel. Above all else Henry loved his family, his children and grandchildren. He was very proud of their accomplishments. Henry's best times were when he participated in all their activities - and there were plenty of them! Henry is survived by his loving wife Vera; two sons, Van (Linda) and Walter (Roxie); two daughters, Linda (Ramsay) and Kathy (Don). Henry is also survived by two sisters, Millie (Bill) and Audrey (Pack); and his brother John (Greta). He left eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Henry was predeceased by his son Ronnie; by three brothers, Herb, Ollie and Fred; and his sister Ella. A memorial service was held Monday, June 9, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Delia United Church with Pastor Lloyd Huber officiating. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Henry's memory can be made to STARS Air Rescue (1441 Aviation Park N.E., Box 570, Calgary, AB, T2E 9Z9). She is also survived by her brothers Leon Sauve, Ken Sauve, Bill Sauve and Mark Sauve, all of Montreal, as well as her sister Carol Prmais of Ontario. Suzanne enjoyed writing poetry, singing, crafts and being able to raise her children. She enjoyed and loved getting to know people and help them whenever she could. COULTER, "Bob" Robert Thomas In loving memory of "Bob" Robert Thomas Coulter, 59 years, of Sudbury, who passed away Sunday morning, June 29th, 2003 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Memorial Site. He married Lenna (Casey) in 1982 in Sudbury. Bob was born and raised in Burwash. He moved to Sudbury in 1968. He was a crane operator at Falconbridge Ltd. retiring in 1998. Vincent J. Pitre CANAAN STATION, NB-Vincent J. Pitre, 76, of Canaan Station, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, June 28, 2003. Born in Saint Paul, son of the late Edmond and Mary (Cormier) Pitre. Vincent was a former CNR employee (Bridge Repair) and former owner of V. J. Pitre Auto Sales Ltd. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and cars. Carmichael: Mrs. Judy 1947 - 2003 Judith (Judy) Carmichael (nee Bazant) of Tees, AB, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at the age of 55 years. Judy was born on September 12, 1947 in Calgary, AB. She attended St. Paul's Elementary School until her family moved from Calgary to the Delia area, where she attended school and later attended grade 11 at St. Mary's Convent in Calgary. After she had finished school, she moved to Hanna, AB where she worked and met her future husband Doug. They were married July 15, 1967. Judy was a very admirable person, touching many people throughout her life. She was very compassionate and loving towards others, always putting them before herself. She had a magnetic personality as people were drawn to her, if for a good cup of coffee and conversation, or some badly needed advice. She had a very strong belief in God and always found time for prayer. Judy was known for her honesty and for her ability to stand her ground. Most important to Judy was her family and she could often be heard speaking of them to her friends. She was very devoted to children, whether they were hers or others who came into her home. For years, Judy and Doug were Foster Parents, and even afterwards, had an open door and helping hand for those in need. Judy had no difficulty making friends, with her great sense of humour and infectious personality. Judy was known for her artistic talents both outside in her rock garden with her flowers and in her craft room with her paints. She had a knack for making things beautiful and took great pride in doing so. Judy was a very organized lady and would work with something until it was completed to perfection. She always had a project to work on and was a welcome hand on the Ag. Society and Rodeo Club in Tees. Judy was a farm girl who loved animals and the farm life. At times, she would be heard saying, "Doug loves those cows more that he loves me!" in her teasing way. Judy gave to the world what she had: love, laughter, hope and compassion. She was a loving mother, and honest and loyal companion and a wonderful friend. She willingly gave with her whole heart and she will be sadly missed. Judy leaves to mourn her loss, her loving husband Doug, her son Douglas (Leeann) Carmichael and her daughters, Glenda (Steve) Wright, Tammy Reimer, Jody Carmichael and Roberta Ann (Kelly) Buchwitz and her two grandsons Jason and Justin. Judy also leaves to mourn her loss, her sisters Audrey (Sebastian) Tiberio, Dorothy Laverty, Marjorie Odnakon, Sylvia Gillespie, Sandra (Fred) Land and her brother Peter (Dorothy) Bazant and scores of family and dear friends. A celebration of Judy's life was held at the Tees Community Hall on Monday, May 26, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Derek Hoskin officiating. BOZIC, Antonia Antonia Bozic has died at the age of 73 years, in Sudbury. Antonia was passionately devoted to her family and friends, yet constantly curious about the world. She was a lover of the arts, a life-long reader, lively conversationalist and keen traveler. A grandson describing his Staramama: Smart, Tenacious, Artistic, Ready, Able, Marvelous, Absolute, Merry, Ageless. She will be remembered for her seemingly limitless energy, her self- sufficiency, her giving nature, as well as her superb cooking. Her home and kitchen were always open to friends and acquaintances. She loved the Sudbury area and was proud to share it with visitors from near and far. Antonia started her working life in Slovenija with a pharmaceutical company. In Canada she was employed by the Sudbury Board of Education for 29 years. Antonia was the daughter of the late Anton Vadnjal and of the late Ana Vadnjal (née Medica). Beloved wife of the late Venceslao Bozic of Markstay and of the late Victor Crivici of Sudbury. Mother of Josephine Mrozewski of Prince Rupert, Anna Crivici (Richard) of San Diego and Alexandra Krivicich of Toronto. Stepmother to Gloria Gratton (Mike) and Tracey Bozic both of Sudbury and Stephan Bozic (Diane) of Markstay. Grandmother to eight grandchildren, Matjash, Stefan, Tomasz, Nicolas, Stephanie, David, Hannah and Christopher. Sister of Albina of Croatia and Miro of Angola. Predeceased by brothers Anton, Ivan, Franc and Andrej of Slovenia and sister Pavla of Croatia and Maria of Slovenija.
