Louis-Nazaire Labonté (Louis-Hyacinthe), Frère Mariste À Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, est décédé subitement, le 30 avril 2003, le frère Louis-Nazaire Labonté, en religion: Louis-Hyacinthe, à l’âge de 83 ans et 8 mois, dans la 63e année de vie religieuse. Le frère Louis-Nazaire est né à Saint-Henri, comté de Lévis, le 22 septembre 1920, du mariage de feu Adélard Labonté et de feu Maria Turgeon. Il fit profession religieuse chez les Maristes le 15 août 1940. Il laisse dans le deuil, outre les membres de sa communauté, ses frères et soeurs, beaux-frères et belles-soeurs: Juliette (feu Gérard Gagné), feu Wilbert (Cécile Cadoret), feu Imelda (Alfred Bouffard), Oscar (feu Françoise Bussière), Jeanne-d’Arc (Jules Bélanger), feu Raymond (Marie-Paule Blouin), Cécile (Roger Hallé), Jeannette (René Tardif), feu Arthur (Jeanine Cadoret); ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces. Frère Labonté fut professeur et directeur de collèges pendant 36 ans. Il exerça son apostolat principalement à Chicoutimi, La Malbaie, Beauceville (20 ans), Desbiens, Normandin, Saint-Jérôme, Lévis. Il fut également supérieur du Pavillon Champagnat de Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures durant 3 ans. Il était retiré à Valcartier depuis 10 ans où il rendait de nombreux services dans l’entretien de la propriété et dans l’animation liturgique à la paroisse. Le frère Louis-Nazaire fut un grand éducateur, un confrère charmant et joyeux, bon causeur, amant de la nature et du beau chant. Sa dépouille mortelle sera exposée le vendredi 2 mai à partir de 13h30 au 7141, avenue Royale à Château-Richer et le samedi 3 mai à partir de 9h. La messe des funérailles sera célébrée au même endroit le 3 mai à 10h30. L’inhumation se fera en la crypte de la communauté. BELLIVEAU, BELLA (LEGERE) The death of Bella (Legere) Belliveau, 89, of Leominster, Massachusetts, occurred Sunday, March 16, 2003 at the Health Alliance Hospital, Leominster. Born at St. Anthony, NB, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Rosalie (Legere) Legere. She was a retired machine operator for E.B. Kingsman Co. in Leominster. She is survived by two sons, Paul Belliveau of Rockland, NY and Bernard Belliveau of Saskatchewan; four daughters, Tillie Richard, Estelle Crawford, Carmella Bourgeois and Gloria Rivers all of Leominster, MA; a sister, Geramine Myers of Ontario; 28 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Bella was predeceased by her husband Tilmon Belliveau in 1977, a son Donald, a daughter Roberta Whaley, brother Alyre Legere and two sisters, Ida LeBlanc and Bertha Legere. Of Lac Ste-Marie, passed away Sunday, April 27th, 2003 at the Maniwaki Hospital, at the age of 77. Predeceased by his parents, brother Charles, sister Maureen and dear friend Denise Corkery. He leaves to mourn his children Michael (Sylvie Picard), Eveline (Chris Millington), Dorothy, Robert, Julieanne and Patricia (Gary Baker), former spouse Carol, 10 beautiful grandchildren, loving sister Barbara (Ray Belway) and many nieces and nephews. Brian graduated from St-Patrick's College, Ottawa and was a W.W.II Veteran Airgunner in the R.C.A.F. attached to a Fighter Squadron in Zweibrucken Germany. He flew 55 missions with the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War. He was an accomplished artist, craftsman, linguist, outdoorsman and poet. He loved life and above all his family. RCAF - WWII 44 year Employee of the Royal Bank of Canada Peacefully at home in Stittsville on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at age 83. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jean (Payson), his three devoted children: Dr. Margaret Deutsch, Douglas (Christine), and Mary Mirsky (Paul), and his grandchildren: Stephen, David, Amanda, and Daniel, all of Ottawa. Predeceased by his brother George. John was born in Yarmouth, N.S. in 1919 and in 1935, began his long career with the Royal Bank which was capped by 14 years as manager of the Kentville, N.S. branch. A respected and beloved member of the community, John belonged to the Rotary and Gyro clubs, lent his talents as treasurer to the local Board of Trade and Red Cross Society, and served for 15 years on the board of directors of the Kentville Hospital Association, including terms as President, as Fundraiser, and as Chairman of the Finance Committee. As a youth, he was an award winning Dominion Marksman and later became an accomplished curler as well. Two years ago, John and Jean retired to Stittsville, joining their children and their families in the Ottawa area. In retirement, John continued to be an avid and talented golfer (former President of Ken-Wo Golf Club, New Minas, N.S.) and an enthusiastic bridge player. John lived his life with gusto and will be greatly missed by all who knew the joy of his company. Graham, CM MD (Shannon) of Toronto; and Charlie Graham of San Francisco; by her daughter-in-law, Catherine W. Graham of Ottawa; by five grandchildren, John R. Graham of Vancouver, Alex E. Graham (Karen Madorsky) of Rye, New York; Mark Graham (Catherine) of Toronto; Heather Graham of Toronto, and Suzanne Graham of Edmonton; by two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Caroline; by her cousin, Corinne "Clou" Kernan Sevigny (Pierre) of Montreal; by her nieces, Linda Hill of Worcester, New York and Betsy Givins Baillie (John) of Wolfville, N.S. and their families; and by her friend, Mary Jane Peel.
