BELLEGARDE, Harry Elziar, Published: 04/29/2003 Okanese First nation, SK BELLEGARDE--Harry Elziar-It is with great sadness that the family of Harry Bellegarde announces his passing on April 27, 2003. He was predeceased by his first wife Alice in 1981, Margaret in 1996, and his three sons: Michael, Tubby and Gub. Ten brothers, two sisters, as well as both parents. Harry is survived by his children Jan (Jim), Gladys (Stan), Bev (Cal), Randy (Connie), Sandra (David), Kevin, Lorraine, Michael (Donna), Garry, Loretta (Auggie) and Lori. One brother Bill and one sister Angie and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his little guy Taylor, and many special friends. Harry was born on April 13, 1927. He will be remembered for his many years of service as a bus driver for the File Hills Community. Harry was also recognized as a devoted coach and supporter of the File Hills Warriors and the L.B.B. Blues. He was also an avid fan of his children and grandchildren. A wake will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 in the Okanese Community Center. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Lebret, Sask. by Rev. Wojciech Wojtkowiak O.M.I. and Sister Bernadette Feist, O.S.U. Elle laisse dans le deuil un fils, Bryan de Toronto, Ont.; une fille, Kimberly Clarke de Halifax, N.-É.; une petite-fille, Taylor Rose de Bathurst; une soeur, Yolande Luce de Bathurst; deux frères: Eric de Bathurst et Rhéal de Lower Sackville; deux neveux: Bryan et Kenneth, ainsi que plusieurs cousins, cousines, tantes, amis et amies. Un frère, Albert, l’a précédée dans la tombe. Mme Clarke était propriétaire de Book Connection à Bathurst. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée à la Maison funéraire Elhatton de Bathurst. RIVERVIEW-À l’Hôpital régional Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont de Moncton, le lundi 28 avril 2003, à l’âge de 79 ans, est décédé Thomas «Tom» Nelson, époux de Léone Boudreau-Nelson, domicilié à Riverview. Né le 11 mars 1924 à Dartmouth, N.-É., il était fils de feu Thomas Nelson et de feu Annie Warner. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil plusieurs neveux et nièces. Ses soeurs: Myriam, Nancy, ainsi qu’un frère Lawrence, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. Loyauté, intégralité, honnêteté démarquent la carrière de Tom pendant 43 ans de service avec Moyer Vico Corporation. Il était directeur au bureau chef à Toronto et gérant pour les provinces atlantiques et le Québec. Il était le vice-président de Moyer Vico Corporation en 1983. Il a été responsable d’avoir sauvé le bureau à Moncton pendant que les autres bureaux fermaient en raison de l’économie. Dans sa jeunesse, Tom aimait la chasse et la pêche. Il était aussi un tireur d’élite gagnant plusieurs compétitions. Les biographies d’explorateurs et les héros de la guerre étaient sa lecture préférée. Membre du Club Rotary-Moncton, il a reçu le prestige prix Paul Harris à deux reprises. Rotarian pendant 40 ans, il était actif dans l’organisation en Ontario et au Nouveau-Brunswick. En reconnaissance des ses efforts, ses idées, et son dévouement, le prix Thomas Nelson qui porte avec fierté son nom, sera décerné au club Rotary ayant le meilleur projet pour sa communauté. Frank Jordan Sr. Frank Jordan Sr., 80, of Lac La Croix First Nation, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. Frank was born Oct. 8, 1922 in Lac La Croix First Nation to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jordan. He lived in Lac La Croix all his life. Frank’s parents passed away when he was a young boy and he was raised by Amelia Burnside. He was united in marriage to Helen Ottertail on Sept. 20, 1961. He worked as a guide all of his life until losing his sight. Frank was very knowledgeable about the native traditions and was a talented pow-wow singer. He loved visiting with family and friends. Frank particularly enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He leaves behind his wife, Helen; children, Alice (Rob) Chishel, Dora (Dave Gerts) Ottertail, Norma Jordan, Dorothy Jordan, Norman (Angie) Jordan, Frank Jordan Jr., Melba (Leonard Ottertail) Jordan, and Harvey (Sue) Jordan; grandchildren, Marilyn, Melvin, Sylvia, Kathy, Shawn, Greg, Jake, Richilda, Tina, Nathaniel, Julian, Jocelyn, Jeremy, Jessica, Jerad, Dakota, Shauna, Nikki, Aaron, Keyshawn, Dyson, Justice, and Journey; and numerous greatgrandchildren. Frank was predeceased by his parents; and adopted mother, Amelia Burnside. A wake will be held Friday, May 2, 2003 from 2 p.m. at the family home in Lac Lac Croix First Nation. Cameron (Trudy) and Carol Cameron, both of Cornwall, Sharron Breyer of Morrisburg, Patricia Legault (Roland) and Robin Cameron (Mona), both of Cornwall, Marvin Cameron (Irene Beilak) of Niagara Falls, and Martin Cameron (Shannon) of Cornwall. Barry started the Niagara South Oldtimers Hockey Club in 1974, was an avid sailor and hockey player and loved car racing. He was involved as Pitt Crew Member for Jessie Mason and worked at Niagara Falls Hydro for 25 years. A special heartfelt gratitude to Paramed nurse Debbie Costa and the Oncology Unit at the Hotel Dieu Hospital. Économiste de profession, il a eu une longue et considérable carrière dans un poste de direction à la compagnie Canadair et plus tard, il a été employé comme conseiller senior à la Commission canadienne des transports à Ottawa.
