La défunte laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Jean-Denis (Georgette Blanchard), Robert (Adrienne Paquette), Mariette (Jean-Louis Vachon), Marcel (Liliane Tétreault), Michel (Rose-Aline); ses 11 petits-enfants: Maryse (Yvan Gemême), Annie (Simon Lachance), François, Bernard (Suzanne Lamoureux), Brigitte (Yvon Thibodeau), Martine (Sylvain Laberge), Lyne (John Proulx), Martin (Nathalie Côté), Stéphane, Patrick (Nancy Boileau), Karine (Charles Brisebois) et ses 20 arrière-petits-enfants. Elle était la soeur de Jeanne (feu Joseph Corriveau) de Ville St-Laurent; Fernande (feu Rolland Ménard) de St-Césaire; feu Marguerite (feu Henri Labrosse), feu Lucille (feu Hector Bilodeau), feu Annette (Léo Chamberland). Elle laisse également plusieurs neveux, nièces, autres parents et ami(e)s. La famille désire remercier spécialement le personnel du 5e Ouest du Centre hospitalier de Granby, pour les bons soins prodigués à Mme Marie-Ange Valois Rainville, lors de son séjour parmi eux. Les funérailles auront lieu le jeudi 27 mars. FAJCZ, Joseph A true gentleman, a wonderful husband, father, teacher, neighbour and friend passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2003 with his son Michael at his side. Joe was born in Edeleny, Hungary in 1924 to Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Szabo) Fajcz (both predeceased), and in 1929 immigrated to Canada settling in the Sudbury area. He attended Sudbury Mining and Technical School, graduated in 1941 and started his first career immediately at INCO’s refinery. In 1942 Joe joined the Royall Canadian Navy and served in the HMCS Lanark as a stationary engineer during WWII. That same year he also met the love of his life, Irene Savard (predeceased April 1992) whom he married in 1947. After the war, Joe continued to work at INCO, until he was able to pursue his dream of becoming a teacher. Joe spent 26 very enjoyable years sharing his knowledge of History and Geography with the students at Sheridan Technical School and Sudbury Secondary School. He was an avid reader and loved to share well researched and factual stories with his beloved family, students and friends. Joe, Irene and family spent many happy summers at their cottage on Fairbanks Lake. The water was never too cold for Joe to jump into after a sauna! Joe loved to travel and he and Irene drove thousands of miles to visit Michael on the Queen Charlotte Islands, and in Halifax, and visited Michele & Mark in Kamloops and Fort Nelson, BC and in Faro YK. He was so proud of the fact that he had visited all of Canada’s Provinces and Territories. One of Joe’s favourite travel memories was toasting to everyone’s health with Irene, Michèle & Mark on the Arctic Circle under the midnight sun and then driving up to Inuvik and flying to Tuktoyuktuk. Later in life he made trips to Hungary and rekindled his family ties. Joe was a founding, active member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church. Because of his deep love of children, he actively participated with them as a Boy Scout leader and as the Corps. Director of the Blue Saints Drum Corps. Predeceased by his brother Louis, Joe is survived by his children: Michael of Sudbury; Michèle (husband Mark Ruggles) of Fort Nelson, BC; Peggy (husband George Klem) of Colborne; Barry of Sudbury; and his grandchildren: Nadine, Ian, Nathan, Jette Ann, Glen, and Brad. Joe touched so many lives in his teaching and travels, and he will be sadly missed. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Prayers in the R.J. Elle était fille de feu David Albert et de feu Olive Cormier. Elle laisse dans le deuil plusieurs cousins, cousines, neveux et nièces. Trois soeurs: Victorine, Alma et Estelle, ainsi que cinq frères: Majorique, Arthur, Cyrénus, Gervais et Xavier l’ont précédée dans la tombe. Mme Albert était la dernière personne vivante de sa famille immédiate. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 14h, le mercredi 26 mars, à la Maison funéraire Racicot de Caraquet. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens de Caraquet, le jeudi 27 mars, à 16h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial, plus tard ce printemps. M. ROMÉO GENDRON est décédé le lundi 24 mars 2003, à l'âge de 81 ans. Il était le fils de feu Claudia Matte et de feu Vincent Gendron.
