Born in Lower L'Ardoise, she was a daughter of the late William and Maria Bridget Martell. She is survived by sons, Joseph W. LeBlanc, époux de feu Carrie (Pawk) LeBlanc, domicilié à Shédiac, rue Pleasant. Né à Moncton le 10 décembre 1902, il était fils de feu Aimé LeBlanc et de feu Marie-Louise Gallant. Il laisse dans le deuil ses fils: Ernie Jr de Sun Lakes, Arizona, Larry de La Quinta, Californie et Ronald (Pauline) de Moncton; son frère, Léon (Mary) de Shédiac; sa soeur, Justine LeBlanc de la Villa Providence de Shédiac, ainsi que dix petits-enfants et 13 arrière-petits-enfants. Un fils, Vincent, ainsi que cinq frères: Aurel, Henri, Joe, Paul et Gérald, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. Avant de prendre sa retraite en 1962, M. LeBlanc a travaillé pour le Canadien National comme préposé aux wagons. Il a siégé au conseil municipal de la Ville de Shédiac pendant plusieurs années. Il était membre fondateur et actif du Club Boishébert et membre de la chorale de l’église Saint-Joseph. Il a aussi été musicien avec le groupe de musique de la Ville de Shédiac. Born December 10, 1902, in Moncton, he was the son of the late Aimé and Marie-Louise (Gallant) LeBlanc. He was employed by the Canadian National Railway as a carman until he retired in 1962. He served several years on the Shediac Town Council, played in the town band for many years, was a member of the St. Joseph's Church Choir and was a founding and active member of the Boishébert Club. He is survived by his sons, Ernie Jr. of Sun Lakes, Arizona, Larry of La Quinta, California and Ronald (Pauline) of Moncton; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; his brother, Leon (Mary) of Shediac; and his sister, Justine LeBlanc of the Villa Providence, Shediac. He was predeceased by his wife, Carrie (Pawk) LeBlanc; a son, Vincent; and five brothers, Aurel, Henri, Joe, Paul and Gerald LeBlanc. ST-LOUIS, KATHLEEN – Des funérailles ont eu lieu le 13 mars, à 11 heures en matinée, à la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Guénette de Kapuskasing, pour Kathleen St-Louis, domiciliée à Kapuskasing, Ontario, décédée le 10 mars 2003, à l'âge de 82 ans, à l'hôpital Sensenbrenner de Kapuskasing. Elle était née à Windsor, Ontario, le 13 mai 1920. Elle était secrétaire exécutive de métier pour la compagnie pétrolière Gulf Oil. Membre active et membre à vie du parti Conservateur de l'Ontario ainsi que la Société de généalogie de l'Ontario elle était aussi impliquée au niveau des Dames auxiliaires de l'hôpital Sensenbrenner de Kapuskasing et de l'organisme Eastern Star. Elle avait aussi été dirigeante pour les Cubs et les Scouts de la région immédiate de Kapuskasing. Quand elle en avait le temps, elle aimait les travaux de courte pointes, le tricot et le crochet. Elle fut précédée dans la mort par ses frères John et Ted et sa soeur Helen Fidley. Elle laisse dans le deuil 1 fils : Russ (Bonnie) de Kapuskasing; 1 soeur : Joan Gauthier de Georgetown Ontario et 3 petits-enfants : Katharine, Jessica et John. Le révérend Brenda Lumsden a conduit le service funèbre. La dépouille mortelle a été incinérée au crématorium Hillcrest de Matheson. BOUDREAU, Hilaire-88, Halifax, passed away Monday, March 17, 2003, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Little Anse, he was a son of the late Walter Boudreau and Minnie (Martell). He lived in Halifax for the last 57 years where he retired after 37 years of service for the C.N.R. He was a member of Canadian Martyrs Parish and Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; daughter, Sandra Leo (Bitar); son, Douglas (Cheryl); sisters, Anna (Arthur) Deveau, Marina (Hilaire) Marchand, Maude (Joe) Bourque, Hilda (Arthur) Landry, Lamay Sampson; grandchildren, Cherie, Angela, Kayla, Ashley, Jason and Jessica. He was predeceased by sisters, Blanche and Alma; brothers, Joe and Amadee. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St. Funeral 10 a.m. Wednesday in Canadian Martyrs Church, Father John Gahan, S.J. officiating. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Family flowers only. CHARTRAND, Aurèle "Joe" The family announces with sorrow his death, Sunday March 16, 2003, in Sudbury, at the age of 71 years. Son of the late René Chartrand and of the late Aldoria Chartrand (née Poulin). Beloved husband of Annette Chartrand (née Poulin) of Sudbury. Loving father of Monique Clément (husband Larry), Paulette Chartrand all of Sudbury, Dennis (wife Claudette) of London and Daniel Chartrand of Garson. Dear brother of Jacqueline Coutu (friend Daniel Pouliot) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his two brothers Laurent and Maurice "Micky" (wife Berthe of Azilda). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grand children Craig, Ken, Kyla and Tessa. At Aurèle’s request there will be no visitation. Marie Daigle 1925-2003 Marie Daigle, 77, of Dieppe and formerly of Lakeburn, passed away very peacefully surrounded by her children after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, March 17, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Cap Lumière, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edouard and the late Emma (née: Babineau) Maillet. She was a parishioner of Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Daigle is survived by four daughters, Emma (Sonny) MacPhee of Riverview, Jeanne (Rhéal) Melanson of Scoudouc, Alice (Ted) Harrison and Doris, both of Dieppe; one son, Claude (Murielle) of Dieppe; four sisters, Rita (Gérard) Maillet, Alice (Gérard) Landry, Lucie (Antoine) Daigle, all of Cap Lumière and Claudette (Laurie) Lirette, of Brockville, ON; one brother, Henri (Bonnie) Maillet also of Cap Lumière; six grandchildren, Jacques, Charles, Sophie, Lisa, Nancy and Michael; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1999; one son, Edouard; one brother, Lionel. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Thursday, March 20, 2003 from 9 am until time of departure. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe on Thursday, March 20, 2003 at 11 am. Interment in Notre Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Il était né le 6 juillet 1933, à Drummondville, Québec. Il habitait dans le région depuis 1992. Il était bûcheron de métier. homme tranquille et joyeux, il adorait les animaux. Il laisse dans le deuil 5 soeurs : Gisèle (Denis) Chantal de Granby, Pierrette (Rémi) Cardin de Tilbury, Lise (André) Trépanier de Belle-Rivière, Micheline (Jean-Yves) Martineau de Tilbury, Lynn (Gene) Collard de Leamington; 5 frères : Roger (Gisèle) de Drummondville, Jacques (Thérèse) de Hearst, Michel (Mona) de Hearst, Paul (Linda) de Tilbury et Marcel (Denise) de Tilbury; 1 beau-frère : Aldé Collin (feue Jeanne) de Hearst. Le père Rémi Lessard a conduit le service. La dépouille mortelle a été incinérée au crématorium Hillcres de Matheson. La famille apprécerait des dons à la Fondation ontarienne des maladies du coeur.

AURELE J. LABOSSIERE Aurele J. Labossiere passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on March 16, 2003 at the age of 80 years. Aurele leaves to mourn his five children, Gisele (Victor) Verrier, Lucie, Rosie (Bill) Labossiere Bees, Shirley and Rheal (Denise); his 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; as well as a brother Hermas (Cecile); two sisters, Marie Rose and Imelda; many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a son Gilles in July 1978; as well as by brothers, Walter, Lionel; and sisters, Gracia, Aurelie, Etiennette and Doralis. Aurele was born in St. Leon in 1923. He farmed for most of his life in Somerset and LaBroquerie. He was respected for his honesty and hard work. Aurele was a determined man who did not wish to be dependent on anyone. He was an active member of Club Eclipse '79 where he enjoyed many hours playing bingo and cards. He will be missed by his friends at Tache Center, as well as by many friends and family. The family would like to thank Dr. Ciric and the staff at Concordia ICU, and the nursing staff, speech department and Edward on 3 West at Concordia and 6A at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. A memorial service celebrating Aurele's life will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Aurele's memory to the St. Boniface Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. Longtime employee of Nortel John W. Larner peacefully passed away in February, 2003 at the age of 48. He was born in Aurora, Colorado, USA on July 25, 1954 and had lived in Ottawa for the past 31 years. John is survived by his sister Deborah Sakacsi of West Virginia, Cindy Goodrum and brothers William and Gary Larner, all of Texas. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Pinecrest Remembrance Services Chapel (2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa).
